One of the best fresh fast food we ever had. We were there on Christmas Day night. It was quite busy but they were quick and all food we ordered were fresh. especially the fish & chips. Highly recommended !

Google
Lucy’s Drive-In is a solid spot if you’re looking for something quick, convenient, and satisfying. One of the best things about it is how fast everything comes out. Whether you’re grabbing a meal in the middle of the day or late at night, they keep things moving without sacrificing quality. The menu has so many options, which makes it easy to find something no matter what you’re craving. They’ve got all the classics—tacos, burritos, burgers, and more—but what really stood out to me was the variety. There are even good options for vegetarians, which is always a plus at a drive-in spot. Another huge perk? It’s open all the time, so whether it’s an early morning bite or a late-night craving, you can count on Lucy’s to be there. Parking was also fast and safe, which is a big deal when you’re grabbing food on the go. No unnecessary stress—just pull in, grab your food, and you’re set. Overall, it’s a reliable, no-fuss spot with great convenience and plenty of choices. Definitely a go-to when you need something quick and tasty.

Google
I wish we could select no stars! Horrible food now and definitely not worth the money. Haven’t been here in a while so my boyfriend and I came, but with the food we received it’ll definitely be the last time we come here. Ordered a shrimp cocktail that was no where near fresh, had a funny taste. Our fries were soggy with no seasoning. The worse part of it was that my boyfriend noticed mold on his burger bun after we were more than halfway done with our meals. So sickening to my stomach, I am disgusted and hope I don’t have to sue. Not WORTH $50 FOR A FAST FOOD!

Google
CASH only. They have an ATM that charges a $3 fee. Friendly staff and pretty clean for being next to a busy bus stop. Their tortillas were dry. Don't think they used oil. Other than that, food was decent and not too expensive.

I use to come here as kid and it was the best. Overtime they just have gotten really sloppy with my food. I hardly eat here now when I decide to give it another try it’s disappointing. My personal experience

Google
I went for some take out, ordered chips w/ meat, avocado, cheese, it was delicious, also ordered 2 beef hard shell tacos and a carne asada burrito. All the food was delicious, it did cost 38$, sound expensive? Not at all, 3 of us ate this and we had food left over. Do the math, really good deal, will be going back.

Google
They say there is no restroom!!!!. I think every restaurant is required to have a restroom according to sanitary standards.

Google
Mannnnnnnnm the food is what causes me to fly in and drive 45 minutes. The tacos are worth it. In a time where everything has gone up price wise, Lucy's remains reasonable. I wish they still had a south location 😕.

Yelp
On most occasions, you would not hit up Lucy's, but it's a Saturday after a night out of drinking. You struck out at the bars so you're desperate to take something home with you. You send out the "you up?" texts. No one answers but Lucy. Oh, 24-hours Lucy's drive through. Nowhere close to the best you've had. If you weren't so desperate you would never hit Lucy up. But it's late and you knew they would come through in the clutch like always. You make a quick detour to pick it up before heading home. It's been a while, but at home, you're reminded why they're a 3/5. But who cares, you were able to get some food tonight. And as soon as you're done, you're full, and knock out like a baby. It was a great night. No regrets.

Yelp
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. When I was younger my parents would get their enchilada plate and my brothers and I would eat off them (that's love cause me now would NEVER) now that I'm all grown I always come and it's nostalgia. Everyone is so nice and the food is always plentiful and flavorful. Just an overall great place

Yelp
For the last 2 years, I've lived 0.5 miles (10 min walk) from Lucy's and I've always wanted to try it out even though it had 2.9 stars at the time I wrote this review. Well, I finally did! 2.9 stars is putting it nicely: the carne asada burrito was $14 cash and was absolutely filled with a pool of oil, the meat was marinated poorly, the salsa was awful, and the dimly lit interior of the building (at 8 PM on a Saturday) with 3 employees staring at me made it that much worse. You'd think the handful of beers I had at a nearby brewery would make Lucy's so much more enjoyable - wrong, I won't be back. If you're reading this, don't come here even though they're open 24 hours/day. Go somewhere else and save your time and money.

Yelp
Food was great service was fast Orange juice on point thanks for a great start of my day

Omar M.

Yelp
Was not satisfied, ordered a cheeseburger with chili cheese fries... mind you it looked funky but I don't judge we were hungry... but unfortunately The worst Ive ever tasted in my whole life. The chili was very liquid like and the cheese had a funky taste to it. The nachos were very stale almost broke my tooth biting into it . I'll stick to Master Burger.

Yelp
My neighborhood favorite 24 hours a day it's been in the neighborhood my entire life last night I had cravings for some chips and guacamole. One order is $18 for chips and salsa. I got a side of chips, salsa and guacamole and one item for $5.00 @ $21. they raised the prices of all of the items it's pretty expensive now, for fast food no way would l want to spend $20 for chips salsa and guacamole even for a Restaurant that's expensive it makes more sense to make your own salsa and chips at home for less than $12. The chips were OK. The salsa was hot & spicy. The guacamole was pretty good but I won't be doing that again, that was an expensive order of chips and salsa. I love the taquitos, although most of the times it's not fully cooked in the inside not as hot as they should be inside overall it' use to be my go to place for Mexican food although you don't taste any seasonings. It's definitely too expensive for the quality the prices have caught up with the expensive neighborhood definitely not worth it! it's never been a special place just ok now it's a definitely a no you can compare it to frozen food the next time l think about Lucy's it's a waste it's gone down definitely not gonna get my support for the prices I'll just pass you by old school good bye

Yelp
I've been getting the chorizo and eggs breakfast plate for YEARS and it never disappoints. Large portions. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas (corn or flour), avocado slices, salsa and chips! It's my go to on a busy weekend when I want to treat myself or just don't want to cook. I should probably explore other things on their incredibly large menu but I guess I'm a creature of habit :)

Yelp
Food is OK but beware, they charge a service fee that is NOT POSTED. Big fraudsters plus rude at the window? No thanks.
google avatar

Bruce N.

Yelp
It is so convenient to have a place open 24 hrs with a huge selectoon ranging from breakfast,to sandwiches, mexican food and more at a reasonable price and tasty food
google avatar

Tanner C.

Yelp
The machaca con huevo burrito I just had was so damn good. Whoever made it deserves a raise.

Yelp
Horrible service. Rude cashier. Just because I didn't order exactly what she wanted, she was rolling her eyes.
google avatar

Yelp
Listen Linda, Honey, Honey.... You ain't going here for the best Mexican food in the city. You are going here because it's late. You've been drinking (your poor, bored sober friend is driving) or you've been in OC all day with kids in a stinky gym at tournaments. All you want is to stuff your face so that you fall right to sleep for the next day of madness. Nothing is open but fastfood, and fast food tastes ok for about 3 minutes and then you feel terrible. The food quality is 3.5 stars, the service is 4 stars, but that fact that you can get decent Mexican food at all hours of the night is 8 stars - why would you eat that fake food at a chain fast food place? Get a chili relleno and float into a food comma. Si, si, si...Mexican all day is for me!

Yelp
If I could give a minus 0 review I would. Worst customer service experience. The waitress/cashier disappeared with my card to the far end of the kitchen and was gone for at least 3 minutes & the cash register was right there in plain sight. When I asked her why she left with my card? Sudden language barrier. I ended up leaving food on the counter after paying $24 for 2 breakfasts. Now I have to go through the hassle of canceling my card because of fear of cloning. Fortunately i got a pic of the waitress/cashier for my records. Never coming here again.

Yelp
The food isn't going to knock your socks off, but it's dependable and delicious (especially when you need it). The service can be slow, but as long as there's not a line it's not too bad. Ambiance is super basic but comfortable. It's really more of a drive-through than a sit-down. Very glad it exists. Would recommend if you're in a late night need

Yelp
Review is based on multiple visits. I always order the same thing, "Huevos Rancheros". I never eaten inside, only drive thru, they always consistent with their food, and service. On 7.26.23 I came for a quick bite: The chips that come with the meal were beyond stale: chewy and hard at the same time. I didn't get any salsa with the meal, I have always received a small container of salsa.
google avatar

Yelp
I've come here regularly over the last 13 years and man things have gotten rough. And I used to love their crispy chicken tacos and now they just taste like Fabuloso. I guess I should be happy. They taste like cleaning products and not like some thing else. And their staff is gotten rude. Just like everyone else in the world. It seems. It's unfortunate. I will no longer be making this stop.
google avatar

Mykalah L.

Yelp
Growing up down the street from here I've been a Lucy's fan all my life . Pricing has been the same for years thankfully . Chilli cheese fries with their salsa is my favorite Gotta get a strawberry milkshake And a chicken hard shell Chicken enchiladas rice and beans
google avatar

Kris s.

Yelp
Best dang chicken taco...EVER! Crisp shell, huge load of moist, juicy shredded chicken, and then heaps of cheese, lettuce, salsa. Just absolutely amazing. It's been epic for 40+ years
google avatar

Lonnie R.

Yelp
They charge more than the price posted on the menu. Not clean I emphasize the word "not".
google avatar

Dave E.

Yelp
Drive by here every morning on the way to work yesterday decided to stop and order the chorizo plate paid $15 and change for the worst Chorizo plate I've ever had. Definitely wasn't freshly made it was so bad I had to throw it away. The chorizo, rice and beans tasted like it was a day or two old it was disgusting. Will never come here again! Hate to do these kinds of reviews but they doit by themselves by putting out substandard food no wonder they're never busy!
google avatar

Sharifa B.

Yelp
The great thing about Lucy's is it being open late with a drive thru. I think the best thing they have is the asada fries. The portion size is very American(huge). I also like the hard shell tacos. I occasionally experiment with other things but some stuff is definitely mediocre. The service is friendly and efficient. Give it a try!
google avatar

Erick A.

Yelp
It is now 12:04am Maybe it's been a long day Or maybe just maybe it's too early here at Lucy's. Unfortunately I received the wrong order, I was hoping for a nice Carne Asada but instead I received two oily deep fried hard shell tortilla vessels holding some odorless tasteless protein substance. After a long day at work I was hungry my palms were sweaty, knees weak, and my arms were heavy now I just might have to settle for moms spaghetti. Make sure you check your food before you drive off, They will not refund you or offer a solution. At least my neighbors dog Stan will have some rice and beans to eat this morning.

Samuel E.

Yelp
Great food, great staff. Service is immaculate, the ambiance is great. Try out their French toast, machaca burrito, and wash it down with a freshly squeezed orange juice!
google avatar

Nairda S.

Yelp
The food was, in short, bland as hell. Presentation wasn't good either but Mexican food isn't suppose to look good. El "Red Chile Plate" fue basura, ni pico para nada y la carne fue seco y simple. OVERALL, fue muy mal/very bad food.
google avatar

Keli T.

Yelp
Food is pretty good. Been coming to Lucy's for 20 years. Sometimes it's a hit or Miss. I think they're very expensive. Was there this last weekend & ordered 4 combo plates and one taco a la cart. It came to $68 . That's with no drinks. I can't believe it's almost $70 for tacos , beans and rice for 4 people and it's take out. The beans were dry. Rice was cold. Cheese enchilada could have been better. It was just ok. I will go back but I would advise to look at their specials .. they usually have daily specials. Like a burrito or nachos for $10.99 and then it's worth it & a good portion. You feel like it's more balanced.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Best Mexican food off of all of Labrea. We stopped here for some tacos and burritos. I love the chicken tacos and beef burrtitos. Everything is good here in huge portions of food. Nice view inside the restaurant of the city. Homeless people frequently come in here asking to use restrooms or asking for free water. But nobody bothered us. Place has the best menu choices of food. Owners and employees are cool. I hope to be back soon.
google avatar

Joanna F.

Yelp
The best drive thru ever! They have everything and service is so fast! Highly recommend the nachos

Yelp
Lucy's on La Brea grabbed my interest a while ago as I pass it on La Brea. I got out of work early and on the way home decided to try Lucy's. I'm a big fan of Chile Rellenos and they didn't disappoint. Available as a combo or a burrito, I tried the combo. Comes with corn or flour tortillas. Very good for a drive through and very well done. Rellenos are my go to at restaurants and theirs was spicy, well layered and fresh. I'll update the review as I try more.

Paola A.

Yelp
I went In today got a torta and a large Coca-Cola that cost $3.25 and when I went to go ask for a refill he lets me know there is no refill. But there's not even a sign stating no refills posted anywhere. Next time I'm going across the street at the 7-eleven for the drink and I would advise anybody else to just do that too.

Yelp
Horrible horrible service. Literally these people don't interact with you at all. They sit behind tinted glass and pop out with words then slam it right back. Horrible service. They don't let you know any specials they don't geeet you they just take money clise window. Second. The girl who works at the last window before you leave is HORRIBLE. SHE LITERSLLY SLAMMED THE DOOR IN MY FACE BEFORE I COULD ASK HER A QUESTION. INSANE. ALLL THAT FOR THE FOOD TO BE SUPBAR!!!!!!!!! Do not come here yo. Idk if it's because I'm black or what but they treated my like shit. Horrible atmosphere to get food. And way go pricey for the quality.
google avatar

Pablo C.

Yelp
Lucy's was definitely the best drive thru Mexican restaurant in the area! The shrimp tacos are just as good sober as they are drunk I would highly suggest the food here!
google avatar

Analia Z.

Yelp
I love the chorizo burrito was delicious they never mess up on orders and love how they have special everyday

Cathy L.

Yelp
Update: I went again to get some more Chile rellenos and the guy was rude. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good this time, so I don't think I'll come back. The Chile relleno was fantastic, the carnitas was dry and chewy... So gross. Beans are too thick and rice has no flavor. Good chips and red salsa... I'd go back for the Chile rellenos.

Rafa G.

Yelp
I used to visit this place regularly some years ago,but since the pandemic I hadn't been around until today and I was not happy with any of it, food was tasteless and way overpriced, they only take cash and no restrooms for customers so you can't even wash your hands. Horrible experience never going back!
google avatar

Xexar A.

Yelp
Always an easy treat that hits the spot, Always open and ready whenever hunger strikes 24/7 Never disappoints!
google avatar

Christina J.

Yelp
Great spot to satisfy those late night cravings. LOVE their shrimp tacos (not on the menu but you can request it)
google avatar

Fancy G.

Yelp
I have lived closed to this place for over 30 years and never tried it. The only reason I decided to try it now was because someone said their Menudo was the best. IT"S NOT!!!!! I've had so much better. The food was not good at all and it's very expensive for their quality. I tried the menudo, camarones a la diabla and champurrado. Everything went to the trash. Definitely NOT going back even if they are open 24 hrs not worth it
google avatar

Jon-Michael H.

Yelp
You're going to a So Cal drive-thru taco shop, not El Cholo! The positives are price, taste, authenticity and reliability. The cost for just yourself or the whole family won't break the bank, and for that you will get a So Cal staple, Fast Mexican! It's gonna be quick, order by number, don't forget the drink and enjoy. One of the greatest testament to Lucy's is that you can rely on consistency. That taco or tamal is going to taste the same the next time, and four years later... the taste will bring you back. The negatives are the drive-thru and navigating in and out. Go slow and whip around carefully and when you leave, watch for traffic. Typical So Cal driving so not much to do with the establishment but be mindful. The decor is plain, always clean and does the job for those grabbing a bite or sitting and relaxing for a bit. The staff are always nice and always make me feel like I'm eating at my abuelos place.

Jason A.

Yelp
I've been going here on and off for years. They are always open, which is good. I like the Chile relleno burrito and I like the burgers alright. But this latest visit, I was floored at how much they have raised the prices. 2 cheeseburgers, 1 French fry and 1 onion ring was $28! (I did not even get drinks.) This is run of the mill fast food, not gourmet and they should not be charging gourmet prices.

Gabriel P.

Yelp
This place has been here since 1969 and it's a Los Angeles staple. The food is delicious and the price is great. Definitely try the hard shell chicken tacos and the green chicken enchiladas. You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Shanna Monique R.

Yelp
Overpriced and gross! We went late night for some taquitos. Ordered 3 that came with avocado sauce and the guy charged us $21! For a damn taquito plate?! Came with soggy lettuce drenched in thousand island sauce as a "salad". So not worth it. I should've just stayed with the taco truck! Lucy's sucks!

Alex G.

Yelp
Lucys drive in !!! Ordered #69 + champurrado. It's the way to go thank you Lucy's you never disappoint. Gracias nunca fallan

Ramon T.

Yelp

Karl W.

Yelp
Food was filling good service n a little expensive but still. The chili burgers were delicious and the orange bang was even better

Salem ..

Yelp
amazing asada fries and very crisp, would recommend to anyone and have often! service to get them is good, it takes time but i understand why and how they take their time!
google avatar

Dominique D.

Yelp
My favorite spot when I come to LA. The customer service is always good and the food is so yummy. I love the chicken quesadilla. AMAZING! Definitely would recommend and definitely would come back!

Yelp
We discovered Lucy's Drive In while driving to our hotel after a long flight and waiting a few hours @ a car rental place waiting for our vehicle (as they had none available). To our surprise, they had a really large menu, including a breakfast menu and you can order from any of the menus! The drive-thru is open 24 hours. I mean, can we get a 24 hour drive through of Mexican food in NJ?! Please?! As hungry (& exhausted) we were, everything on their menu looked delicious & everything we ordered WAS DELICIOUS. I ordered the chorizo & eggs breakfast and the platter came with rice, beans and tortillas! wait, What? YESSS. The rest of the crew ordered burritos (pretty plain burritos) and they raved how good they were. I was hoping we would have time to go back to Lucy's before coming back home but we didn't. When back in LA, going to Lucy's is a MUST!!!

How To ? R.

Yelp
I RARELY do reviews but that's how bad this place is. please DONT EAT HERE. IF i could give this place 0 stars , I would. I'll start off giving them their flowers, I used to eat here regularly a year ago... it's convenient and 24hrs, nice spot to go after the club but the last 3 months it has been TERRIBLE. The food quality is horrible , the service is HORRIBLE. I'm not sure if they underwent new management but everything they serve is horrible. If you're looking for a stomach ache , and a attitude after being hungry and waiting to get some nasty food, then by all means eat here. you're better off getting a Mcdouble and French Fries with a coke from McDonalds frfr. they should be ashamed playing with people well beings like that, DONT EAT HERE

Chris C.

Yelp
Carne Asada fries had %95 fries and the carne Asada is smaller pieces than at King Taco. Don't waste your money.

Rene P.

Yelp
Wet burrito taste terrible , tortilla tasted old and dry Couldn't even cut through it with a fork and knife. The Carnitas tastes old and flavorless The tortilla chips were also stale
