I been here twice and really enjoy the smaller size laid back atmosphere of this place! Each of the beer they suggested I enjoyed, the margarita special doesn’t taste like a ‘rail’ or low end cocktail which was surprising! Fried egg was GOOD, chicken is on point, and okra was how it should be. But the best thing about the food was the tots! They were a hard fry but not over cooked!! Thank you to the cooks for knowing how to cook good simple food!

4 stars for slow and unattentive wait staff. This was a first time at Lucy's and we tried so much. Diablo oysters, onion rings, fried deviled egg, bucket o chicken, chicken tenders, Mac n cheese. Ordered 5 beers and club soda total was $120 💰 Would go back if I was in a fried chicken kind of moon.

After trying several other chicken joints around town it was time to try Lucys....Service was good, promptly seated and ordered a cup of Chili and the basket of Corn Muffins...which turned out to be Corn Bread...and jalapeno corn bread on top of that...at least Im hoping the green flecks thru out are jalapeno...honestly my heat palate doesnt register jalapenos anymore...it was good, but wife wasnt a real fan, being that it was jalapeno...menu update may be in order...Chili was banging with a creeper heat...and it was uber meaty...very good...Both went with the 4 pc mixed basket...although the chicken was good...the legs were luke warm at best...and the pcs were small for the price...both ordered sides to share...Huge basket of fries...and dont let the photo fool you...they do look over done, but they were spot on...great seasoning and fryer fresh. Mac and cheese looked ordinary..but was extraordinary...super creamy and a great combo of cheeses used...They do offer a large menu for a "Chicken" spot, so yes we will be back. Decent looking kids menu as well.

You have to eat here! The food is delicious, well seasoned, and just perfect. I had a strawberry mojito (yum!) and a Front Porch Tea (pictured below), amazing! The Chicken Cove Club was so full-filling, I was only able to finish half. The fried deviled eggs are a must try! My bf had the oysters and he said they were pretty good; he also had the tenders. I tried some, delish!! Our waiter was attentive and recommended great dishes. The atmosphere was so cool because there is a free juke box playing some good ole’ country and oldies!

I love this place and make a point to come go it every time I visit Austin. I usually get a dozen oysters and some fried chicken. The oysters are huge and very tasty and the the chicken is spot on. It's a great place to bring the whole family and sit out side...it's quiet despite Brit pretty close to the road. The staff is helpful and very friendly and the whole experience is very genuine. Worth the trip.

Casual, great feel-at-home vibe restaurant. Family love the crispy and juicy fried chicken. Sides are awesome too. Personal fave are the collard greens with its nice vinegary kick and the beans. Oh, and don't leave without trying out their pies!

This is how you do southern style fried chicken. Anywhere that has fried okra, I'm in. Plus they have oysters on the half shell and other deliciousness in the menu. Definitely in my regular rotation.

My husband and I liked our experience at Lucy's. I got the fried chicken sandwich with chips. The chicken and toppings were fresh and delicious, and the chips were seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered the Pearl Beer Grilled Chicken with the gravy on the side. He loved the flavor of his chicken, but did not like the gravy, so he was happy he asked for it on the side.
