"Westside Italian chef Luigi Fineo is opening his newest project tonight, dubbed Luigi al Teatro. The coastal Italian option lands along 2nd Street in the home of a former theater that once was also used as a power station. The food will be almost entirely seafood-focused with a small rotation of nightly red meat specials. The space features a tall, moody affair with an open ceiling, stained-glass windows, and a long kitchen looking out into the dining room." - Farley Elliott

An absolute gem! An old church turned into an amazing restaurant. Beautiful entrance leads you to the back of the building to the patio area. Lovely and spacious with real artwork and a wall of herbs and plants that can be used in the kitchen. The restaurant interior is very impressive with its stained glass windows, large murals and small decor accents that bring new life to this old building. Modern with an old world vibe. The cocktails are simple but enchanting in flavor and presentation. The food is absolutely amazing! Having sampled most of the menu I can tell you that each dish is beautiful, well thought out in preparation and presentation. Combinations of ingredients I haven't seen in other restaurants of this calibre and original takes on some familiar dishes. The high quality food is modestly priced which makes this a must and will for sure keep me coming back.

I came here for the first time, but I wanted to know earlier that such a nice restaurant is nearby! Not only the ambiance of the restaurant but also the carpaccio and the pasta were really delicious. Of course champagne and wine were great, too. If you cant decide which restaurant to go to, you should come here!

Food is yummy and the service was amazing. The portions are average, perfect for me, but a tad on the small side for the rest of the group.

I haven't done a lot of reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. Went here on a Saturday night, and was completely overwhelmed - in the best way possible. Simply: by far the best meal I've had in a long time. We had the chef's tasting menu, and every course was incredible. Chef Luigi works magic with seafood, from the octopus appetizer to the tuna entree. And everything in between. The restaurant is on second street, a block off of Main which doesn't give it a lot of visibility, but it's definitely a hidden gem. We sat outside and tried to count all of the hanging plants growing herbs. We walked through the restaurant and admired the stain glass windows and the beautiful murals. We saw Chef Luigi several times working the room, a smile on his face, making sure every patron was satisfied. The wine list is not expensive, but a nice blend of Italian, French and American wine. Good price points. I really wish I could get this place an extra star.

We celebrated a friend's birthday party here and the venue, food, and service were perfect! Chef Luigi served up some of the tastiest dishes most of us have ever had, and his staff were speedy and friendly all night. Whether you're looking for a romantic date night (as I observed many couples dining) or a special night out with friends, I truly recommend Luigi al Teatro for a truly amazing experience!

I’ve been to this super fantastic restaurant several times. All food is simply delicious, melting it on the tongue perfectly. Relishing a variety of ever refined dishes, such as carpaccio, tuna, prawns, sea urchin pasta, wagyu steak, …etc., at an elegant high ceiling castle-like fabulous atmosphere is an almost surreal experience. Friendly attenttive waiters/waitresses and chef made all the guests so jovial. Yes, I had an enjoyable time every time!
