We were excited to try Luigi’s Pizza for the first time as we had heard good things about their pizzas, but were extremely disappointed! We took 2 pizzas and cheese sticks as a starter. Everything was extremely salty!! Also pizza crusts were too crispy/dark, so it was hard to eat it (photo attached). Pizzas looked too much overcooked and taste was lacking. After eating here, end of the day we felt very thirsty because of extremely salty food we got. We will never come back and can’t recommend it to anyone. You will definitely find much better pizzas in Madison (for example I highly recommend Ian’s Pizza or Novanta - we have tried their restaurants also).

Google
The pizza is pretty good. Sort of seemed more like a Jersey crust than a New York slice. Prices could be a little easier for what you're getting, but that's Madison's lack of competition for you. I'd say this place is above the average of what the Food Fight group offers anyway, which is generally pretty average itself. The service here- that we got particularly- was great. The guy who helped us was super friendly and willing to make suggestions. The young woman who took my reservation and was also cleaning tables was very welcoming and seems to be a fantastic employee. The 3 bros sitting behind the counter the whole time were basically useless. Place seems to be busy enough, as the wait time took quite a while. I'd probably rather order take out ahead of arriving and eat outside next time.

We have eaten at Luigi’s several times, mostly pizza. This night we ordered lasagna, which was swimming in sauce with noodles floating in it. My husband said it was the worst he had ever had. I had Spaghetti and Meatballs, which was good. Now for the wine: I ordered a glass of red wine. When it came to the table, I picked it up and it was warm. Thinking it had been put into a glass out of the dishwasher, I told the server. She took it away and said she would put it in the freezer. My hopes for an enjoyable glass of wine were diminishing. After ten minutes or so, she returned with the wine. It was still warm, definitely way above room temperature. At that point, I brought it to the server who offered again to put it in the freezer. She said the wine is stored near a machine that is very hot. At this point, I asked her to take it off the bill, which she did graciously. It was the worst dining experience we have had in a very long time, and probably not surprising, we will not be returning.

My family and I were so excited to try Luigi's but we're beyond disappointed. The service was subpar, had to ask for parmesan cheese, Napkins and refills on our drinks. When talking with our hostess about what she would recommend her answer was "anything is good so just order". Like wow! You can't even make the time to talk with customers about what food would be worth trying for the 1st time!?! Our food took close to 45 minutes to arrive at our table, which baffled me cause if I'm not mistaken you guys don't even have a pizza oven just a conveyor belt. We waited 45 minutes for pizza that was so dark and crispy that we didn't even bother to eat more then a slice or 2 of it. The worst part is we paid close to 40 bucks for this! Like we could have gotten way better pizza from places like Costco or Little Caesars. I would never recommend going to Luigi's pizza to anyone.

We were long time fans of Luigi’s having lived here now for a number of years. We love their white sauce based pizzas. But the other night, we did take out and introduced it to friends of ours and it was a big disappointment. The pizzas were way overcooked with crusts so hard, even the cheese pizza was hardly palatable. Maybe it was an off night because of the high volume of people but all 4 pizzas were almost burnt and took much longer than expected.

Google
Just did a pizza to go order. Pizza was very good. We did the pepperoni, spicy (don’t remember what the meat was called but basically salami), sausage, with onion & green olive. Great flavor, cooked perfectly. Would definitely go again

Google
I was truly disappointed this time. Have been to Luigi’s multiple times and each time the food and service get worse. The service was excruciating challenging. We had to ask for everything. It was really odd that I had to go the counter at least 3 times to get salt, parm cheese, napkins, extra sauce for pizza rolls, and soda refills. How do you go to an Italian restaurant that serves pizza and pasta and they only have one small packet of Parmesan cheese left in the entire store??? Pizza was terrible this time. All 3 pizzas were undercooked and tasted real blah. Not sure if we will go back.

Katrina Marie

Google
Fabulous gluten free crust and vegan cheese too! The serve wasn’t super knowledgeable about what was dairy free but she was aware of their gluten free options and she was willing to ask questions, listen, and learn. Tons of sauce and topping options for gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. And they load the pizzas up with toppings too! Highly recommend for celiacs, gluten free, and dairy free folks!!

Yelp
It's easy to not know about this place. It's kind of off-the-beaten path. The place is dark with the requisite jazz/Sinatra/40s Italian music playing. The pizza menu is large, and the pizza is good. Thin crust, topped well, and very flavorful. The staff was lovely. The prices were not extreme. It's a solid little pizza place. There's better pizza places in Madison, but not many. Definitely worth a return trip someday.

Yelp
love the Italian vibe. Reminds me of Gino's on State street from the old days. Yes the 70s Used to waitress there Ha!

Yelp
I have passed this restaurant many times thinking I should stop in and have a meal. I had heard lots of great things about the pizzas being delicious. We stopped in for dinner and we met with a sign that stated that it would be counter service only due to lack of staff. That was fine. The staff was friendly. There were a lot of folks that were ordering carry out, so there was a bit of a wait for our food. They had nice choices of drinks, including Italian sodas and some wine and beer. The ambience had some jazzy music playing in the background and gave it a cool vibe. The pizzas were delicious the barbecue chicken was very tasty. My husband had a build your own pizza with a few toppings. The amount that is charged per additional topping was pretty expensive. Looking at others reviews I'm not the only one that feels this way. While the pizza was good, it is overpriced compared to somewhere like Salvatore's. My rating would be a 3.5 for this place. Definitely a place that is good to eat at but be aware if you're building your own pizza it's going to be very pricey.

Yelp
Quite possibly my favorite pizza in Madison? Tucked along Midvale in Sequoya Commons on the west side of Madison, Luigi's offers high-quality pizza with a great thin crust and a good variety of different options. The Maximus, Il Capo, Fugetaboutit, the Margherita - I have yet to be disappointed. It is a little more pricey (when compared to Novanta, for example), which is the only thing keeping Luigi's from five stars. I have yet to dine in person (that COVID thing), but the takeout/delivery experience has overall been pretty good, although they do get busy on Friday evenings, so there may be a line for pickup. As far as delivery apps, they are on Eatstreet, Doordash, and GrubHub.

Yelp
Went here on a Thursday night. The place wasn't super busy for inside seating, but there were plenty of takeout orders happening. The not busy was nice since we had kids with and the waiter was pretty helpful in accommodating them. Note to parents, none of the food comes out quickly, so have snacks if the kids are hungry on arrival. We ended up ordering a meatball appetizer right away along with a kids cheese pizza. When the appetizer came out, we ordered a couple salads and the spicy Italian sandwich. This was our first time not ordering pizzas when coming here. The meatballs were pretty good, but there are only 4 of them to the plate. Next to come out was the fancy salad and the kids pizza with a very generous portion of fruit. The salad was fine, but was smaller than expected. The cheese pizza was very tasty with a crispy crust and a very good ratio of sauce to cheese to bread. Good value for kids. After a few more minutes the Arthur salad came out. It was also fine, but felt like there should have been more pasta. Also the prosciutto was more like thick cut bacon and it was a little too salty for my taste preferences. It was also too overly dressed do that the greens were soggy. I should have probably asked for dressing on the side. Finally the sandwich came out and it was a favorite. We'll packed with meat and the chili aioli gave a nice kick. It was also large enough to have some leftovers. Overall, I would say stick to ordering pizzas and sandwiches as those were the favorites. It also seemed kind of odd that our main dishes didn't come out at the same time, which made for awkward eating. Might just stick to takeout in the future.

Yelp
Went here for valentines with my partner. I got the chicken Alfredo pizza, he got the fig and prosciutto pizza. Both amazing!! We got garlic cheese bread to share which was perfect and dessert knots afterwards which weren't my favorite but just fine. Service was on the slower side but seemed like there was only 1 server and he did a great job! Definitely will be coming back!!

Yelp
Cozy, out of the way place. Friendly, casual but prompt service. Abundant choices, unique flavors, very reasonable prices. We'll make it a point to return when we're back in Madison!

Bob F.

Yelp
Really good pizza! Crust was perfect and service fantastic. Need to mention, it was also ready in 15 minutes.

Yelp
Pizzas are so good! You have the option of doing half and half as well which is cool - that allows to try different types of pizza if you have a hard time choosing. Came on a Saturday night with a group of 4 adults and a baby. We were quoted 20-30 minutes for a table, but it only took 5! The restaurant was busy and we sat near the kitchen and saw the to-go orders being cranked out. Service was pretty slow, but our server was such a sweetheart! We ordered two large pizzas, one Sequoya Bomber/Fugetaboutit and one The Goods/The Racket. All of them were so good! My favorite was The Racket with white sauce, sausage, mushroom, and truffle oil, even though it was on the greasier side. The lights in the booths are uncomfortably bright. We ended up unscrewing ours for the meal.

Yelp
I didn't love this pizza. My mom liked it but she likes burnt food. I thought it was cooked/browned a little too long. The cheese bread also felt like a prank, it was sooooooooo small. Only real positive is that it was made fairly quick

Sandy S.

Yelp
This cauliflower pizza crust is amazing! Crispy and crunchy with excellent toppings! Our server was friendly and organized. Luigi's isn't the fanciest restaurant but the food makes up for it!

Yelp
It's a solid place for tasty pizza and good beers on tap. The day we went they seem short staffed but the crew that was present was working super hard. The food took a little longer than usual but was delicious. Easy parking. They do a lot of take out business. Patio available for nice days.

Yelp
$33 Dollar pizza that had slices with no toppings!!! $2.50 for 11 pieces of banana peppers!!! Black olives were worse, only put in the very middle. Who made this shit pizza??? FUCK THIS CHEAP ASS PLACE!!! 12" Maximus * Red Sauce & Pesto* (+ $1.00) * Shredded Parmesan* (+ $2.50) * Fresh Mozzarella* (+ $2.50) * Mozzarella * Extra Mozzarella* (+ $2.00) * Black Olives* (+ $2.50) * Banana Peppers* (+ $2.50) * Pepperoni* (+ $2.50) * Bacon* (+ $2.50)

Yelp
I don't understand the hype. There was a sign for counter service only, seat yourself. Almost every table was filled with dirty plates but luckily we got one of the last clean tables. We ordered at counter, 2 pizzas and 2 kids meals. Pizzas were brought out, room temp and crust was soggy. Crust also had no flavor. Kids meals took an extra 10 minutes after we asked where it was. One was buttered noodles, one was supposed to be spaghetti and meatballs. On the printed paper menus in the front, there was no kid menu but saw online. The noodles were in a puddle of oil. The "spaghetti and meatballs" were actually "cavatappi and meatball (singular) with red sauce". The red sauce wasn't even mixed, it was cold noodles with sauce and meatball placed on top. The whole meal was not worth $50. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Yelp
Came with a gift card, and were happy with our experience! They only had one server, but she did so well at balancing a busy Saturday night! All of our food was just mouth-watering and delicious! We had Mac and cheese, lasagna, a thin crust pizza and a pizza with the cauliflower crust. We will definitely be back to try a few more things off their delicious menu!

Sabrina B.

Yelp
We went on a Thursday night recently and the place was not too busy. We were heavy disappointed that night. Tables still had dirty dishes and were not cleaned. Took a while for someone to seat and serve us. The pizza's were burned and other patrons had the same experience with burned pizza when we asked. This is not what we expect from Luigi's. The quality of service and food has always been good. If this is the new way Luigi's is run, we will definitely not be back.

Yelp
Most relevant A patient of mine recommended we go here as her family goes once a week. So on a weekday , my grandson birthday and being very close to my house we decided to go here. My son , grandson and myself arrived first . We go in and the lady says to another gentleman where would you like them to sit ? This gentleman says I dont care sit them anywhere, I tell her it'll be 6 of us , mind you we walk in with gift bags and balloons , the lady sits us at a table , there is only one other couple in a booth and a employee pushing tables together . The employee comes over to our table and says I'm gonna need you to move we have a party of 7 coming in and we need these tables . I said she sat us here , he was up to the hostess and tell her so the guy who says he don't care where we sit comes over to us and tells us we have to get up cause they need our table. I ask him where should we sit he says find a seat anywhere, I said the booth isn't big enough for us, so he says go outside. I tell him I find it very rude that he kicks us out from our table. So we go outside and sit it's a couple at tge table next to us talking to us .. my daughter and her 2 children show up and I say they haven't brung water , menues or anything to us , so my daughter goes inside to ask and they tell her we will bring you menues later just sit down cause it'll be awhile . My daughter tells us what was said and the couple next to us hand us their menus . I tell them no we will just leave they was very apologetic on behalf of the restaurant. I don't know If the staff was just racist or rude , either way clearly they didnt want to service me and my family so we definitely won't go back again

Yelp
In one word: "oof". Risked going to luigis after loads of anecdotes about the "50/50" of having a good experience and sadly fell on the wrong side of 50 (mostly due to horrendouss staff/customer service experience). Ordered 3 pizzas and a side and upon going to grab it (per the eta) the staff could not find our order. After finding it, instead of being told "our bad, we missed it" we were told we needed to wait another 20 mins and that "website eta was wrong on waittimes because eatstreet doesn't put their stuff in correctly". 20 minutes later, not one of our pizzas were ready. Tried to ask a staff member and he put a single "wait" finger to my face, typed into the POS system then turned around and walked away. It wasn't until we asked another staff member until he told us "5 more minutes" (this continued)....30 minutes later we has 2 of the 3 and was told there was a back up in the kitchen. After 45 minutes of standing and waiting in the restaurant (after being given a 15 minute eta after our original 20 minute eta), we were fortunate to speak to the manager who is the only reason the review is a 2 versus a 1. He was open and honest, comped the meal, and told us the kitchen originally missed our order and then also had to remake one pizza after burning it. (Which is fine, just be honest with your customer) Long story short, had various staff members lie to our face about "why" the delay was happening, kept us waiting in 5 minute increments for close to an hour, and eventually also gave us a pizza of which had raw dough as the crust (we did order a thicker dough for that pizza, but it still shouldn't come out straight raw). 4 years in madison, and one of the worst, and most disrespectful customer services experiences to date.

Tyler F.

Yelp
Valentine's Day special where no more in restaurant orders are taken cause they have taken too many pickup orders. Also can't place an order for the rest of the night at about 6pm? Pretty sick and well planned if you ask me. Thanks for making a fun little non-serious valentines ruined! Don't advertise 35 dollar valentines deals if you are incapable of accommodating, and don't stop serving in restaurant before you stop taking call-ins and online orders like you are currently doing despite telling us to our faces you weren't. Managers really screwed your staff on this one.

Yelp
Ok outside dining nice pizza. Thin crust which I like. Service prompt and efficient and friendly.

John H.

Yelp
Excellent crust flavor and texture. We have been searching for a good thin crust pizza in Madison, and this is a rare one!

Bubblies B.

Yelp
Service was absolutely horrible. We were waiting 25 minutes just to be seated when there were multiple seats available. Some some seats were clean, so my family didn't see why we weren't seated. About half of the seats still had dirty plates and napkins on them, from the staff we saw, no one came over to seat us and they were distracted talking to each other. When a worker finally came to us, he briefly pointed to a seat and left us. Our waiter brought us our menus a few minutes later. My family and I had decided what we wanted soon after, but our waiter never returned. Two other tables were served that arrived after us. My family waited 40 minutes before leaving. We were so disappointed with the service here. As we headed to the car to leave, we saw our waiter at the ice cream shop across the street. Clearly the staff were not doing their job and were heavily slacking. Extremely disappointed, never coming back.

S R.

Yelp
Excellent lasagna! The best I've ever had! And, awesome spaghetti and meatballs! A perfect blend of herbs and spices. The Regular Fancy salad is delicious, too! Dessert rocked! We had the LEMON CREAM ITALIAN CAKE (fabulous!!!) and the Chocolate Layer Cake. We love coming here! Try it! You'll love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Got a variety of items to go on a cold winter evening: the wiseguy pizza, the spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza pinwheels. Can you say carboloading? My favorite was the pinwheels. They reminded me of Stella's spicy cheese bread with the gooey cheese baked into the bread. Addictive! The pizza was tasty. Very thin crust with plentiful sausage and spicy chilies. I would maybe take more cheese on top, but that's coming from an Uber Wisconsinite here. We have leftovers - look forward to eating those. Spaghetti was alright. Not a super flavorful sauce but a few good, hearty meatballs and a decent serving size. Friendly and quick service. Another good Food Fight experience!
google avatar

Ka S.

Yelp
BBQ chicken pizza (lunch size 6") was perfect size for me. Pineapples and onions were fresh. Flight option was okay. They gave me a fourth option since they were out of the one I wanted. Peanut butter Porter was delicious! (Stevens Point?) Social distancing is being practiced and the employees were wearing masks. Also, gloves were worn to our table.
google avatar

Tara Z.

Yelp
Okay a few months ago I was here and had a great experience the pizzas were amazing. Last week I dropped in with my 2 kiddos and I think they gave me yesterday's pizza reheated. The sauce was fried and didn't have any flavor. I really can't believe it dried sauce but the bottom wasn't crisp. The only reason would be the pizza sat for hours. They just went from a 5 to a 2. Watch out customers. My one child's cheese pizza was a tad wonkey with dehydrated sauce and a funny color to the pizza. While my other child's pepperoni pizza seemed on. I'm not sure what the deal was but I wasn't able to eat mine.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dinner at Luigi's. My daughter got the Margarita Pizza and she was very happy with the flavor of the sauce and the crispness of the crust. I had a house salad and I loved the dressing! We shared a pitcher of the Red Sangria and it was delicious! I will order it again for sure! The outside seating was nothing special but it was a beautiful night and the adjoining parking lot wasn't too busy so it did not affect our evening.
google avatar

Willie N.

Yelp
We tried the Pizza pinwheels as a side and have sense ordered them 5 more times as our entree. The regular pizza is great as well but the pinwheels are unreal!

Rick A.

Yelp
I went to Luigis to pick up a carry-out order on Friday, and the experience was great! The food was amazing, and everyone was very nice and helpful! I'll definitely be coming back soon!
google avatar

Charles L.

Yelp
Met some friends here for supper when I was up here for a work trip. None of us had been here before. The mask mandate was in effect, so masks were required when not seated. The service was quick and friendly. Drinks came quickly and the cheesy bread and pizza were very good. I got the Racket, which the mushrooms were delicious and the rest was pretty good, as well. I'd recommend this if you're looking for some decent pizza in the area.
google avatar

Jameson M.

Yelp
I came here for my fathers birthday and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed compared to my prior visit! Our pizzas came out fast! The gluten free accommodations were impressive with the cauliflower crust and vegan crust both being gluten free. They also had vegan mozzarella which was subpar in flavor, but not bad whatsoever. The raspberry lemonade was great and the service was just as good if not better. My only complaint would be that for the price, our gluten free pizzas were small. It's a 2 dollar up charge for a crust that is 2" smaller than the standard. Overall quality was there! Just some minor tweaks and a 5 star review is guaranteed!
google avatar

Erika E.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from Luigi's for national pizza day. Ordering is so easy - very straightforward, and it took only 15-20 min until our order was ready. I got a text alert and email, and was able to text a number when we got there to have them bring our order out. I mentioned we had our dog with us, so they took a picture for Instagram. We're proud to be part of the "dogs of Luigi's" pack! The pizza was delicious and really hit the spot. The only downside was the growling of our stomachs on the drive home. That fresh pizza smell was killing us! We realized we should have just eaten it in the parking lot.
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
Overall: Luigi's is a great option for a local pizzaria, just be wary of the $$$. The good: Ordered take-out and it was ready in a little over 10 minutes, and was hot and ready when it arrived at the house. The dough knots were fluffy and large and tasted great. We got 3 pizzas, the wiseguy, marg, and chicken alfredo, and each one was delicious in its own way. The wiseguy was spicy yet not overwhelming and the alfredo wasn't too powerful with the chicken, and the cornmeal-dusted crust was great on all fronts. The not-so-good: Only issue is the price. $20+ per pizza is a bit excessive.

Susan J.

Yelp
It's too dark for inside dining unless you happen to grab a table by the windows. Ok for outside seatings. But the pizza with white sauce, sausage and hint of truffle flavoring is a favorite and the salad is fresh. It's a great neighborhood go to eatery.

A T.

Yelp
Easy pick up curbside and great pizza ! Can't beat a great cheese pizza. Thin with good crisp. Updated now on keto diet and the cauliflower crust was amazing and one of the only places in town with it thank

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Luigi's is our favorite place to grab a pizza and beer. Their pizza is our favorite, and with the casual laid back atmosphere and outdoor seating, it is a perfect place to grab a bite to eat and relax at the end of a busy day. Their pizza is loaded with lots of flavorful toppings.

Yelp
I ordered take out for lunch the lasagna and Hawaii Pie-O. The thin crust pizza is super delicious and crunchy. The lasagna cheese is melted and crispy on top of the pasta. The delivery was quick and the food was kept warm. I have never dined in however this is my 3rd take out with them and they never disappoint!

Sue M.

Yelp
Horrible wait for take out pizza! one pizza was made and sitting under heat lamps for 1/2 hour before the other one. Had to keep asking about order. absolutely disorganized.
google avatar

Barb N.

Yelp
Always get the Arthur salad - mixed greens, balsamic dressing, walnuts, some sort of delicious and salty meat, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and noodles. Sigh. Sometimes get the dough knots. Have tried many pizzas. Favorites are Bada Bing and Fugetaboutit (green olives instead of kalamatas and no onions). Have enjoyed carry out, delivery, and dining in equally.

Yelp
Consistently delicious. We love having this place in the neighborhood. Our favorite pizza place in Madison. Owners care about their customers

Brianna R.

Yelp
Super solid pizza option in Madison! Although it's called thin crust on the menu, I think their pizza is a tad thicker than what I think of when I think thin :) The two for $25 deal on 12 pizzas is amazing! If you are having a hard time decide how much to order, they cut each 12in into 9 party style slices. Perfect for 2 people (+ a salad or app if you are really hungry). We ordered during COVID pandemic and they brought it right out to our car!

David L.

Yelp
Best pizza in town. I've been a huge fan for years... but there's a big caveat these days... Sometimes these days the pizza is of slightly inferior quality, seems like they may have some challenges in their kitchen staffing. That variability in quality has been happening for a couple of years now. Seems like every 3rd time, we get a cold pie or a pie with the wrong ingredients, or one with a truly bizarre shape, cut into pieces that are not even close to being regular sizes, much less square (huge trapezoids? can you bring me some of what you're smokin'?) But on a good day, with their main kitchen staff on duty, this is hands-down best quality pie in town. (And i'm a very picky pizza person). I'm giving this place 5 stars because 2/3 of the time it's a 5-star experience, & i want them to do well. It's just notable what a big difference there is between their good days and their bad days. If they manage to keep their quality standards from slipping further, i'll stay a happy repeat customer (i like them as folks). But if it becomes more rare to by chance get the amazing pizza and service i know they are capable of, i may have to go back to regularly ordering primarily from Red's.

Yelp
Stopped in with my wife and infant daughter for a little lunch date. We were running some errands in the area and I looked up places good to eat nearby. Luigi's Pizza popped up! They had a Tuesday Date special for 2 that sounded great. An appitizer, any pizza, and a dessert for $25! We had never eaten here so we figured let's go try it out. Photos looked tasty..... When we arrived we were greated and seated with smiles immediately. We were told the specials by our waiter. He got our drinks and even took the time to answer all of our questions and make us a few personal suggestions. We took his advice and did the Garlic Knots for our appitizer. They were very good. Soft, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and came out with a fresh tasting marinara dipping sauce. We orderded the IL Capo meat pizza and the Racket mushroom pizza 1/2 and 1/2 They were both perfectly made.... Fresh toppings.... Tasty sauce, generious portions, perfect crust, and on and on! Well done guys.... Our dessert was a choice between Lemon or strawberry ice.... We went lemon and it was perfect. Very tart! Perfect for a hot summer day. We will be back and spread the word that Luigi's Pizza in Midvale is the real deal. Thanks for a great Tuesday date lunch! Staff was friendly, place was clean, prices are reasonable, menus were clean, booths and tables were clean. All around great experience 1st time visiting. Cheers

Yelp
I was craving pizza on a Monday and quite a few places aren't open. Luigi's was so I thought I would give it a shot. I have never been overly impressed but I wanted to give it another chance because I live in the neighborhood. I walked in and there was a sign that said due to low staffing we are offering counter service. This is at 5:25 PM. There would be a server coming in at 6:00. That sounded fine to me. I don't mind ordering at the counter at all. I walked up to the counter ordered the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer, glass of wine and a water. The water was put into a plastic cup with a lid and straw. I took a seat because they said they would run the food to me when it was done. I mentioned that I had another person coming and would order more once they got here. I waited for my appetizer and it never came. The other part of the party showed up so we went back up to the counter and the appetizer I ordered was sitting in the window in a to go box. It was cold, under cooked and came with a 2oz potion cup of sauce. All they said was; "ohh sorry." It was not good at all. We ordered a build your own pizza, a tap beer and another glass of wine. I took the garlic bread back to the table in a to go box. I had to ask for silverware, red pepper and Parmesan. They handed me, two bags of plastic silverware and small paper packets of Parmesan and Red pepper flakes. I had to grab my own plates. They did end up bringing the pizza we ordered out to us. It was in a to go box. The amount of waste with the to go boxes, bags of plastic silver ware, water cup, and packets of red pepper and Parmesan was horrible. We opened the pizza and it was missing the arugula we ordered. Went back up to ask and they handed us a small paper bowl with the arugula in it. Was packaged to go. We now have more paper and plastic at our table than I care to mention. Again, I am totally behind the issue of not having enough help and having to order at the counter but there are tons of places that can do this without having to use ALL to go packaging for people sitting in the restaurant eating. Take Panera or Noodles for example. I would suggest finding a different restaurant in the neighborhood that has great pizza when you have a craving.

Yelp
Best pizza in madison! I'd recommend the 'Wise Guy' pizza, the bruschetta, and the pizza pinwheels.

Yelp
Good pizza friendly service. Pricey but good quality and very tasty. Part of FoodFight so you can give your take depending on how you feel about them.

Yelp
Wish I could leave zero stars. Came here with the family after a very long day at work. I ordered the mushroom Alfredo. I can say the mushrooms were good. The pasta was over cooked and there was very little Alfredo. It was like they put a spoonful on the plate and then topped it with oily noodles. When I said something to the server she just rolled her eyes and said sorry. She did not care. Worst service and food I have had in a very long time. I do not recommend this place if you know what good Italian food tastes like.

Yelp
My fiancé and I are new to Madison and we were desperate for a good pizza place, we found it in Luigi's! We have ordered for pickup numerous times, and dined in once. The inside of the restaurant is small but they use their space wisely. The food has always been delicious. We've ordered the chicken alfredo pizza, the goods pizza, and built our own pizzas. Each time we've been more than pleased with our food! Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!
