With my stomach grumbling I knew it was time to take in some food. I had walked all around the area to see what was available and ended up back here. I figured Italian food wouldn't be too bad. I had never been here before, let alone been to the area before.
When I walked in it was after the lunch time rush, which I thought would translate into not being pushed through the area. However, I was being pushed even though it was obvious I was looking over the menu. By the way, you have to go inside to see the menu, which this would have been avoided if there was a menu outside I could have looked at beforehand.
After looking over their menu I assumed that meant everything listed would be available to purchase. That is not the case, and if that is not the case, you shouldn't advertise the way you did. To note, this is like the trifold menu you would get as junk mail in your mailbox. First attempt at ordering I was told they didn't have the item. Second attempt at ordering I was told they didn't have it. Each time I ordered and found out they didn't have it, I went back to the menu. And each time they would point to what they had as if I knew exactly what they cooked that day. How about you tell me what is in each and every pot down there, or put a menu behind you on the wall that would let your customers know what is available.
In the end of the ordering process I ended up getting meat manicotti. Not what I wanted, not what I was craving, not seen on the menu (I think). I was just so defeated at that point that I would have taken a loaf of garlic bread and called it my lunch (who wouldn't, honestly). Customer service, as you can see, was not their strong suit on this day.
The food, even though it was not what I wanted, was decent. Although I wished I would have gotten more than three manicotti. It was just the manicotti and two small slices of garlic bread. Definitely not a lunch, more like a snack. I definitely had to supplement this meal later on as it did not carry me over to my next meal.
But the taste was on point. The mixture of meat they used in the manicotti was seasoned perfectly. The sauce was one of the best sauces I have had in a while. And of course the grated cheese on top will always be perfection. But, again, remember I didn't even want this meal as everything I attempted to order was not available.
