"Perched on the banks of the Han River, this outpost of its Hanoian namesake boasts a dining room dripping in lush greenery. This branch shares the same culinary ethos as its flagship – creative Vietnamese fare packed with bold flavours. Grilled ground beef skewer with herbs and lemongrass seduces with aromas. Wrap in rice paper with veg and fruit for a hunger-quenching kick or pair with sticky rice and cassava root in a claypot." - Michelin Inspector

LukLak is a beautiful restaurant with a strong visual identity and a polished atmosphere. The space is spacious, well-designed, and immediately feels like a special dining experience. The standout dish was the sturgeon, exceptionally fresh, perfectly cooked, and very memorable. The calamansi and aloe vera drink was also excellent, refreshing and naturally balanced. Coffee was strong and good quality. The grilled chicken, however, was overcooked and less impressive compared to the rest of the meal. Service was efficient but inconsistent. While the welcome was warm, our server felt a bit abrupt at times and small details like water refills and clearer communication could be improved. The menu is quite extensive, which feels slightly unfocused for a restaurant at this level, and vegetarian options are limited. Bathrooms were clean but lacked privacy. Overall, LukLak delivers on atmosphere and standout seafood, but could benefit from a more focused menu and more refined service. Worth visiting, especially for the fish.

This was the best food we have had in Vietnam. We ended up in Danang for twice as long as planned due to the flooding in Hoi An so we ended up coming here four times in the end. We tried different things each time and they were all excellent. My favourite was the Sapa pork with sticky black rice. Service is excellent and everyone really friendly. The paintings and photos around the restaurant were really interesting as well.

Definitely make reservation in advance. It was fully booked the first time we came, so we made resevation for the next day. The restaurant was very spacious and comfy, food was wonderful and good portion. The food came quickly, and waiting staff were helpful to show us how all the sauces should be mixed. Although one staff missed our additional order, which we cancelled at the end.

The food was amazing. I especially loved the chicken rice wrapped in a leaf — such a unique and flavorful dish. The service was absolutely top-notch. You can really tell the manager genuinely cares about making sure every customer leaves 100% satisfied. Highly recommend this place

The restaurant offers a great atmosphere and service. The food is equally impressive, especially the grilled meats — well-marinated with a delicious charred flavor, yet still tender and not overly dry. The stir-fried morning glory is another standout, well-seasoned and flavorful enough to enjoy on its own without carbs. The egg coffee, while decent, was a bit too sweet for our taste, and the accompanying biscuit didn’t quite pair well with it. That said, it’s easy to see why this place has earned Michelin recognition. It’s definitely worth a visit!

I can't believe how bad their food are. I was there for lunch and order Soft Shell Crab spring roll, Pho and shrimp and meat spring roll. Their soup base Pho it's almost taste like water basically no flavor at all, and the meat is hard to chew. The shrimp meat spring roll was just edible. Their soft shell crab, You can taste and smell the bad odor after you bite into it. That's the reason I give them one star is that the softshell crab after they deep fry it I could smell and taste the foul smell. Usually when it's not that fresh after deep frying it the odor will go away and odor will be in the frying oil. But the bad odor stayed, so it can only mean one thing, it should be thrown away. This can only be explained that the softshell crab is so bad that they should have thrown it away. But they didn't. The chief should be fire. I just don't understand how Michelin rating will give them a consistent select destination. People at Michelin should go and undercover and dress like a foreigner that's on tour. This way they will find out how bad they are.

Very good service and atmosphere. Good food but some has room for improvement. For example the grilled sapa pork belly was not well barbecued, could have more favour and served at very hot temperature.

Maybe avoid eating here past 8pm cause I think most dishes worth eating are probably already sold out. We arrived at 9.15pm but most dishes were gone. We proceeded to still give it a try since the menu looked good. In a nutshell, they offer too many things on the menu. They should just remove the dishes that they dont do well and only keep the dishes that are excellent. They spread themselves too thin and aren't able to deliver and execute. Most expensive restaurant meal we had so far in Da Nang, and it was the most disappointing and underwhelming for 1.1million dong Grilled Duck done two ways on the seasonal menu. Couldnt taste the duck fat, underseasoned, lacking depth, meat was hard and dry like it had been prepared a day or two earlier and been left around in the fridge with no airtight container, mulberry itself and mulberry sauce was yummy but maybe if it was more liquid and less thick then perhaps it would penetrate better into the super dry duck. Should have had salt in the duck, it was rolled in the skin that was too chewy and thick. If the skin was thinner, more crispy then it would have been better. The cucumber and carrot accompanying the dish was cut too thick. The pumpkin soup with pork was bland and underwhelming. The grilled lemongrass chicken with sticky rice was recommended to us, but the chicken skin was so chewy and hard, the meat was dry, lacked moisture and umami of chicken flavour. Also the chicken was cut too thick. Chewy dry coupled with sticky rice wasnt a good combo in texture and the rice was lacking flavour too. The only thing that was yummy was the pork belly with fish sauce, vermicelli, and perilla leaf, but this is a dish we can find elsewhere, and it's not unique to this restaurant. Definitely won't be coming back since there were so many things wrong in 3 out of 4 dishes, the execution was just poor overall. I think the waiters tried hard to recommend some things to us, considering how many things were sold out, so props to them for that. One of the waiters thought that we wouldnt like the pork belly because we are foreigners, but I dont think the waiters are that experienced and perceptive to understand the type of customers that come through the door and the type palete and the expectation of different type of customers? I think it wouldn't have mattered what they recommended or didn't recommend to us if most of their dishes were delicious to begin with. I went to this place without knowing it was awarded a michelin star. With or without a michelin star, the expectations were high due to the good reviews and the menu reading so well. Overall it was a ripoff and I had really good meat at a local place for just 60k for a main during lunch, comparing it to the 350k duck i just had here, it is quite shocking i had to pay for something executed so poorly.
