Charleston Restaurant Closings for 2019 - Eater Carolinas
"Take-out eatery Luke’s Craft Pizza sold out of pies shortly after opening on its final day. At 4:43 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, the owners wrote on Facebook, “And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much, Charleston! We’ve loved slingin’ pies for ya (Keep an eye out for some future pizza happenings)”." - Erin Perkins
Pizza made with a passion, and it's golden! Everything about the pizzas here is phenomenal. Great crust, cheese, and both the tomato and the ricotta cheese sauces are great, can't wait to try the third.
They only make 50 pizzas a night after they open at 5, so make sure you get yours early. Highly recommend it!

We came in from out of town and had no clue where to go for dinner. Stopped in on a whim and LOVED it. The pizza was great with fresh, quality ingredients, perfectly proportioned, and well prepared. The owners are friendly, the service was great, and the pizza came out quickly. Couldn’t have asked for a better first meal in Charleston!

This isn't just the best pizza in town, it might be the best pizza I've ever eaten. You can truly taste the freshness and quality of all the ingredients. I usually just go with whatever the weekly special is and have never been disappointed. The care and quality that Luke, staff, and #pizzababy put into this shop shows. I would recommend calling when they open to schedule a pickup for whenever you would like to eat, as they only have Luke making pizza and one oven. Also try to creamy ricotta dipping sauce!

Dang good pizza. Don't let the price scare you away, it was absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients is obvious and the entire pizza works so well together. Sauce was very strong but not too acidic, cheese was perfect, crust was crispy on the bottom but deliciously soft on the outside. Make a trip here, you won't regret it.

My wife and I’s favorite pizza spot in town. We usually only get the weekly special because they are always insanely tasty. My biggest complaint about this place is no dining room, so it’s take-out only. If you live downtown it’s not a problem, unfortunately we don’t so last time we resorted in sitting on the bench outside and that was amazing especially when the weather is nice. Bring your own napkins if you do that though.

As a former New Yorker I'm super picky about my pizza. I asked everyone who had the best pizza in town when I first moved here to Charleston last year and everywhere I went was a disappointment which is why I'm so glad Luke opened his new pizza location here. Thank the gods! I ordered a regular cheese pizza and not only was the sauce savory and delicious, but the cheese was the perfect combination of mozzarella and asiago, and the crust was soft, yet crunchy, it was perfect. These words don't really do it justice. I'll definitely be back!

Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor and wonderful service. Luke’s Craft Pizza is worth a stop every time we are in Charleston. Following them on social media can be pure torture to see all of Luke’s weekly creations. Yummy!!! I just wish they had a location in my area. But for now I’ll look forward to Luke’s Craft Pizza as a low country pizza treat!

We get Luke's at least twice a month and are impressed every time. The specials are always on point. Some of our favorite toppings include salami, speck, asiago and spicy honey! Luke's is carry out and worth every penny. We're "pizza snobs" and this is the best we've ever had! Call in and reserve early before they sell out!
