"The irony of food from a lavish city coming to a small college town in the South is not lost on locals. That is why Luke’s New York Bagels has maintained growing popularity since its opening in 2020.  Before the bagels, eyes are caught by the shop’s bright red color. Compared to typical bagel shops, Luke’s operates a grab-and-go style, with just a window to place an order. The shop prepares 15 bagels that average mostly within $3, all made with the New York Water Maker that produces the same water native to New York City.  In addition, Luke’s prepares eight flavors and nearly 400 pounds worth of shmear weekly. Although slightly more expensive, its tofu-based options are inclusive of vegan and vegetarian customers. But what most guests truly come for are the breakfast sandwiches starting at $4. Fried eggs are paired with anything from bacon and sausage to Taylor ham for $7.50 plus the price of the bagel." - Jared Teitel

I have loved this place for several years but think its time is over. First and foremost, I like butter on my bagels and they seem to have changed up how that is doled out - it’s not even on the menu anymore. I asked if they still had butter and the kid probably more accurately should have said no, or clarified. I ordered butter on my cinnamon raisin bagel and it was not what it used to be or adequate for a surcharge, nevermind NY-style. I also ordered simply a sliced everything bagel with the intent to make a sandwich with it at home. Received that bagel effectively broken. It was so mangled I couldn’t use it as a sandwich and had a hard time buttering it at home. For a $15 purchase alongside my coffee and tip before I’m served, this is ridiculous. I also watched them hand someone a boiling cup of coffee and the lid pop off and burn the guy. Basics. Still a tasty bagel but I can wait until I’m back in NY for better service which is an absurd statement in itself.

The last few times I came here were 2 years ago or earlier and I would’ve rated this place a 5 stars. I used the say they were the best bagels outside of NY. We were actually planning to get this everyday for breakfast during our stay, but didn’t go back after this experience. I don’t know if it was just off because we came in the summer, but the bagels were not nearly as fluffy or large as they used to be (I pulled up old pictures to compare). It was super disappointing as I was looking forward to coming here after so long. They also had barely any bagel flavors, which I understand mostly because of the lack of people in summer I’m sure. My husband and I both ordered bagels with the chive and onion cream cheese, and my husband asked for very light on the cream cheese. Well when we got back to the car, both of our bagels had just plain cream cheese, and my husband’s was piled on high. This maybe could’ve been overlooked if the bagels were as good as they used to be, and if they had the flavors we wanted. We will give it another try next time we are in Gainesville, and hopefully we just visited on an off day.

Google
Idk how anyone calls an order in. I tried calling just before 7, and right at 7, and after called about 8 times. Never got an answer. The bagel itself was good. The hash-browns on the other hand were definitely not. (Glad I didn’t come here just for those) They were quite literally rock hard… If I could add a video I would.

Google
Ok so I am somewhat of a bagel snob. I like a bagel that’s soft yet dense. And my favorite is cinnamon raisin. Idk how Luke’s does it but these bagels are perfect and their cinnamon raisin is the best I’ve ever had. They do not skimp on the raisins and I think they even used multiple color raisins which added a pleasant sweetness to literally every bite. Highly recommend this place

Google
It's best to call in your order but if they don't answer during business hours just go up there and order. They're always busy so they're likely open just not able to answer the phone. By far the best bagels in town imo.

Nancy

Google
Some of the best bagels I've ever had! Definitely gotta come here earlier before they start running out of bagel flavors next time. Highly recommend their bagel sandwiches. Service was friendly, but there was a bit of a wait for the sandwiches. Prices reasonable for Gainesville. Edit: Can confirm they are just as good if not slightly better than bagels in NYC!!

Google
Best. Bagels. EVER! Seriously! I am a bagel fanatic and found Luke’s my freshman year at UF and was obsessed. I’d always wanted to try a New York style rainbow bagel and was very excited to see Luke’s offered them on Sundays. I’d go climbing next door at the Knot then refuel with a bagel after, it was the perfect routine. My favorite combos are the egg everything with plain cream cheese and the Asiago with sun dried tomato. Poppyseed/sesame/blueberry with strawberry or maple walnut is pretty solid too. I won a social media contest my freshman year and won FREE BAGELS and iced coffee for a year- and got to skip the line! So I’ve tried as many combos as possible. Thanks Luke for that, they are generous and really value their customers. Staff was always very kind to me. The line does get long but I voluntarily would wake up early to get there right at opening, they really are that good. 10/10 recommend! P.S. even alligators and dinosaurs love it!

Google
I ordered the bacon egg and cheese onion bagel. It was pretty good but not worth the money. I was charged $13.48. One egg two slice of bacon, one slice of cheese and a bagelThat is crazy expensive very disappointed. I will not go there again. When I told other people, they They also will not go there. It’s highway robbery.

Monique M.

Yelp
Delicious. My husband gets the breakfast bagel and I got all out with smoked salmon and cream cheese all the way! It's huge! We do not go on weekends as it's busy and kudos, we call our order in on a weekday, pick it up and voila. Yes the prices are $$, but you get what you pay for and a really lovely treat. Just go for it and I'm not a bagel girl but damn!

Christopher M.

Yelp
The bagels are okay, if you are willing to wait 40 minutes for a bacon, egg & cheese. I lived in Manhattan for 2 years and it never takes over 5 minutes to get your order even when they have a line out the door. It doesn't take long for 2 BECs. This has happened 3 times, with this last time being the final time. We have called ahead and they tell us it will be 20 minutes, which is fine. It has never been ready after showing up 20-30 minutes after calling. We are always told it will be 20-30 minutes after showing up. I have no idea what they are doing that takes 40 minutes, even when they aren't busy.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
The bagels here are huge and super filling! While they do taste very good, I honestly don't really get the hype around them. I've been a few times but I have never been super impressed. This time I went to the mini trailer location so they had way less options, which was expected, but good to know before going! You have to get here super early to have full selection. While these aren't my favorite bagels in the world, they are probably my favorite bagels in Gainesville, so if I have a strong craving for bagels I'll get one here. The service is pretty decent but definitely a bit slow. The ambiance is fine, but there's not seating as it is a place where you order outside. I recommend getting the cream cheese on the side, as they really load it on (and I'm someone who likes A LOT of cream cheese so that's saying a lot coming from me)

Pamela B.

Yelp
Ordered breakfast for pickup. I had the everything bagel egg with bacon and it was good. A lot oniony so I switched w my bf for his egg bacon sesame bagel and that was really good. I also tried a plain bagel w cream cheese but I didn't like the cream cheese. Something tasted off with it.

Britney M.

Yelp
My bagel was really good and also huge but it doesn't matter because the service was so bad, we literally waited one hour and we asked about it 3 times, they kept saying it was coming soon. My friend and I's bagel came out within like 20-30 min, but apparently an egg sandwich takes super long to make. I'm disappointed i want to go back but not really worth the wait. so much cream cheese on the bagel btw so if you don't like that maybe ask for less because it is overwhelming. They also never answer the phone and constantly run out of items early on in the day. They have another shop located at 3601 SW Second Ave which is usually way less busy and more likely to have items

Carol C.

Yelp
Very yummy! Plus, they have egg bagels which, for some reason, seemed hard to find until now. They are mondo-generous with the cream cheese - their schmear is an inch-thick, unless you ask them to go easy. I ask for a half-inch and it is perfect. My husband and niece adored their breakfast bagels.

Rey O.

Yelp
It's a cool place to just grab and go there might be a lil wait but it's worth it the bagels are always fresh and many to choose from and many spreads to choose from

Maybelin A.

Yelp
Hands down the best bagels I've ever tried! I love WholeFoods bagels but this right here was delicious and perfect and just the right amount of cinnamon and raisins. These are my favorite bagels- cinnamon raisin! I must always try them at any bagel shop I go too. This little place was definitely worth the wait since they do take a little long but that's because they had a few people waiting for their orders ahead of us. My daughters had each a breakfast bagel with eggs and sausage. One had in on a plain bagel and the other two on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and WOW, amazing! The sad part is that they do sell out pretty quickly so get there early! Can't wait to go back and check out other flavors and a breakfast sandwich!

Lisa W.

Yelp
These bagels are out-of-this-world delicious. They're huge and one would think that would make them bland and doughy. Nope. They are just right. We ordered ahead for pickup after an appointment at Shands, so our order was ready and fresh when we arrived. The only negatives are that they seem a bit pricey, but I know you get what you pay for. Actually, we didn't get what we paid for but it was still delicious. We asked for 6 bagels in a bag (3 egg everything and 3 plain egg) and then two egg everything bagels, one toasted with butter and one toasted with cream cheese. Also, we wanted a plain egg bagel toasted with cream cheese. So, a total of 9 bagels. None of the bagels with spreads were toasted and they were all three slathered with cream cheese. The total was $38. We didn't complain because it was delicious and what was the point. We enjoyed what we ate and will try again on our next visit to Gainesville.

Monika K.

Yelp
for the love of pistol pete, there's gotta be a better system/way to run this place?! i know it was a gameday weekend and lots of people in town, but the ordering system, wait times are just absolutely offensive. I waited a hour for a lox bagel and iced coffee. no where to sit, minimal reprieve from the heat/sun with two tents while you wait . bagel when finally received was awesome and for a sofla girl, found it reasonably priced. but please find a way better ordering/getting the food/beverages out to ppl more efficiently

Victoria K.

Yelp
Luke's bagels are so good. That's the redeeming part of this review as the food is really what matters most. Now to my most aggravating feature is Luke's has outgrown their window service. The line is LONG on the weekends. Plan to be in line 20-30 minutes just waiting to order if you get there after about 830am on the weekend. I keep it simple. I get bagels in a bag. Not toasted, not sliced. I take them home and make them the way we want. I'd love it if there was a line for those getting orders like that togo like a fast service and a separate line for those getting bagel sandwiches and other made to order options. That would earn Luke's 5 stars in my mind for streamlined service. Price wise: They're a bit pricey at $3/ bagel or more but very tasty.

David B.

Yelp
I'm giving five stars based solely on the quality of the bagel and breakfast sandwiches. Bagel huge and soft . I had the jalapeño which had a nice spice but not overdone. One breakfast sandwich with Taylor ham pork roll egg cheese added hot sauce. One Sammie sausage egg cheese. Two huge sausage Pattie's. Dropping American cheese. Both delicious and huge! Worth the $6.50 price. Did I stand outside in insane july heat? Yes ITS A WALKUP WINDOW. There's two tents for shade. If you want AC go eat inferior bagels at Starbucks. Or order an ice coffee here and chill while you wait. Not sure why it took so long to make my sandwiches but it was worth the 15 minute wait. I'll be back next time I'm in Gainesville.

Jordan T.

Yelp
A little biased as I've worded here for a year, but the bagels truly are to die for. You cannot go wrong with anything! You wanna LOX, a BEC, just a plain with plain? You can't go wrong. It can be a little pricy and the wait may be longer than anticipated but it's not advertised as fast food for a reason... it's much better.

Tim J.

Yelp
Forgot to take a photo, but checked this place out to try their Lox sandwich! Be aware: as mentioned by several other yelpers, it is bit pricey (slightly over $17 including tax) when you add cream cheese to it (~$15 without it). Still, I had to try it to see whether it lives up to the NYC standard. In my honest opinion, I think the taste of the bagel is pretty good indeed. The bagel just had the right amount of fluffiness to it and was tasty. The line was little long, but the food still came out in 10-15minutes. Overall, I enjoyed the bagel and will consider coming back to try more!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Try to get there when it opens at 7:30am they do sell out of most of their items very quickly and it's a long line to get food. I waited 30 mins to get my bagel but I ordered the rainbow bagel with cream cheese and iced coffee and it was good

Lurda J.

Yelp
Was passing through from Miami to Atlanta, and stopped here for breakfast. The bagels were AMAZING. Saturday mornings are pretty slammed, so the wait is a good bit for a sandwich. Bagels are quick. Super friendly staff and chill food truck vibe.

Chynna M.

Yelp
This place has rejuvenated itself the prices changed from the menus that was posted on yelp went up like two bucks but that's something that's happening everywhere. Food was good ordered on the phone and was ready in 20 minutes. Will be back still not trying the salmon bagel again

Kyle R.

Yelp
Went to this spot since it was close by where I was staying and seemed good. The line was absolutely packed and took around 30 min to order and then 20ish to wait for the food (supposedly it's like that constantly). It is advertised as an authentic NYC bagel and it definitely is one and has the same consistency, texture, and flavor. The bacon, egg, and cheese on the bagel make it extra tasty. Prices can be a bit much (this was $10.50) but is extremely filling and delicious.

Galib K.

Yelp
The only thing I enjoy more than a delicious bagel in the morning is excellent customer service and this place def got that. The staff is very knowledgeable and have many years of experience knowing the best parts of the menu. Be wary tho because it is a food truck so you might not have seating, but it's a freaking bagel you can either eat it in your car or walk around the park which is only a stones throw away.

Judy C.

Yelp
I have been psyched to try this place since we moved to FL. My hubby went to pick up some bagels on Sat morning around 11:30. There was a long line already, he waited for about 25 minutes. They only had egg or blueberry bagels left when he got to the front so he got the egg bagel with lox and chive cream cheese. It was delicious! Bagel was good, great texture but it didn't have the hole in the center. It had a nice portion of salmon and the cream cheese was perfect. We went back again the next week, earlier this time to see if the line would be shorter. We got there around 8:40AM and there was already a line. Stood in line again for 20 minutes and then waited 20-30 minutes for our orders. We got the lox and cheese bagels again (this time on an onion and garlic bagels - both good, garlic on the saltier side), sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and a blueberry bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. The sausage, egg and cheese was okay, nothing to write home about. It needed some spicy sauce to jazz up the flavors. The honey walnut cream cheese bagel was delectable! Loved the cream cheese flavor and texture. You can taste the crunch of actual walnuts in it. TLDR: It may have NY flavors but not the NY pace.

James K.

Yelp
I have such a high opinion of Luke's that I believe nothing they do can go wrong. These are seriously the best bagels I've ever had, if not for their taste then the sheer soft, fluffy texture of the bread itself. They know exactly what they're doing and how to stick to what works. No wonder so many students and Gainesville citizens love this place. And no wonder it sometime takes a while before you actually get your food. It's not because they're slow, it's because everybody goes nuts for Luke's. The staff are friendly and work as quickly as possible to get you your food. It's a great place to come with friends, classmates, family, and whoever else you want to introduce good food to. If you like breakfast and love bagels then this is the only sensible place to go!

Rob K.

Yelp
What exactly is the hype?? How about some shade for the line or post order waiting? How about writing or announcing when things are 86'd so one doesn't wait in line all that time just to find out they don't have what you want? How about the 2x New York prices in Gainesville? Idk man I might be one of the few but I really don't get it EDIT this was written pre - dining and now that I've eaten it, I'm doubling down on "what's the hype?" image of pop-up tent (~$45, or about the cost of 2 bagel sandwiches+coffees) is for reference to show that providing shade can be quite accessible:

Ziyu L.

Yelp
Ordered a BTL and Egg&Cheese Everything Bagel on a Saturday morning. We didn't have to wait too long and the bagels came out pretty good.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Luke's is a funny place. There is no indoors. Just a takeout window and 4 parking spaces. We got the everything bagel with cream cheese. One thing I have to say it's the biggest bagel I have ever seen. As big as an inner tube! Came with a respectable amount of cream cheese and was double wrapped in tin foil. I ate half and had to save the other half for later that day. It's located in a funky area of Gainesville with markets and older buildings colorfully painted with murals. Reason for a 3 star rating is the bagel tasted like a bagel. Nothing special except for it's size. It's not cheap either but was filling.

Simone M.

Yelp
I have been craving a NY authentic bagel for a while, and based on recommendations from other Yelpers and my mom, the hype was something I needed to check out for myself. When you arrive the parking can be a little tricky, however I was able to park across the location on the street. I went today around 10:30a and was able to easily order my bagel. When I walked up, there were a few people ahead of me but I glanced over at the menu which offers many options for your bagel preference. The prices are very reasonable as well. I love everything bagels and wanted to try their egg everything bagel with a side of plain cream cheese. Within 5 minutes, I heard my name called and quickly went back to my car to unwrap my goodies. First off, the bagels are HUGE and so fresh and fluffy. The garlic and onion scent from the bagel immediately hit my nose as I peeled the foil back. I was in heaven with each bite, as every part of the bagel is covered with everything seasoning - which gets an A+ from me for this. For my first time eating at Luke's, I would say the hype is real and the closest thing to a NY bagel you can get in Gainesville. I can't wait to go back so I can try other options like the rainbow bagel!

Dylan R.

Yelp
Ordered a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a Jalapeño bagel, as well as an Iced Black Coffee. The staff was kind and hardworking, and the bagel was incredible!! Best bagel I've had in Gainesville, and probably Florida in general. Fresh ingredients, came out the perfect temperature, and I enjoyed every bite. 100% worth the price and the wait. Thank you so much Luke's Bagels!!!

Nathaniel D.

Yelp
Best bagels i've found in gainesville. I absolutely love luke's and although it's pricey, i do believe it's worth it. I always get the lox salmon bagel on an everything bagel. Luckily for the price they load up the toppings and it is absolutely delicious. If i was rich, i'd eat breakfast here everyday but I save it for a treat. I can't recommend their bagels enough and if you're a fan of lox salmon bagels, try out theirs!

Brittany K.

Yelp
I loveeeee bagels and i'm a cream cheese fanatic so since new york is so far away, if a bagel joint has "New York" in the name I have to try it out. I had expectations that they would deliver on providing a true new york bagel and they did not let me down. The amount of cream cheese, was disgustingly to some, but amazingly thick to me- that's what New York style bagels are known for. The texture of the bagel was chewy yet held slight crunch on the outside and the flavored bagels like "garlic"and "everything" were seasoned so perfectly. I see why there's always a line next to this tiny (in square footage but large in bagel) orange building! Definitely would recommend to anyone searching or missing a new york style bagel. P.S. They charge for cream cheese like most places with specialty flavors a bit more- but it's worth it

Marie B.

Yelp
Delicious bagels. We tried their Bacon Egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it hit the spot. Yes, you do have to wait but it's worth it!

Patti M.

Yelp
Bagels are ok if you don't mind waiting at the very least a half hour or more. They are always, without exception, sloooow (very unlike an actual NY bagel shop) but today, after standing in line for ten minutes they were out if bagels two hours before closing. Uh, yeah, I'm done. There are other mediocre wanna be NY bagel places around here. I will say the employees are always very nice. It's just a slow, hopelessly inefficient operation. ETA: Apparently the owner doesn't prepare well enough in advance to handle graduation guests.

Annie C.

Yelp
New Yorker checking in. These bagels are delicious. Their prices are high. I paid $12 for a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel but I'd pay it again.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Best bagels in Gainesville! Have been going here for a while and have never had a bad experience!

Helene S.

Yelp
I am from NY so I am used to high prices but $17.50 for a bacon ,egg and cheese on a bagel and a medium coffee is outrageous. There is no place to sit and eat and the service is slow. I won't be visiting again. They would laugh Luke out of NY where the above would be 10 dollars tops and in your hand in 5 minutes.

Alissa W.

Yelp
Omg wow these bagels are really good. They are definitely huge I wasn't expecting them to be so big. I was lucky to get a spot. I didn't realize there is nowhere to sit or eat it so we ate in the car. When I come back to visit I definitely will get a bagel. I got the poppyseed with vegetable cream cheese and a blueberry bagel. They were extremely fresh!

Henry M.

Yelp
I go to Luke's because they have the best bagels in Gainesville. But the fact that I can pay $12 and still have to wait OVER HALF AN HOUR for a SIMPLE EGG AND CHEESE in an old lot with NO SEATING is absolutely ridiculous. This place doesn't care about their customers at all, and they should be seriously ashamed of how poor their system is. EDIT: It ended up being over 45 minutes by the end. Never go here.

Poonam S.

Yelp
Holy cow! This was amazing. Our first time here... Parking: there's a dedicated parking lot a little bit down the street or 2 spots directly across the street Timing: go right when it opens or after 12pm and the line is less. Expect slow moving line. If u get the sandwiches - the wait is long (20+min). If u only get schmear + bagel - much shorter (5 min) Pro tip: call in order on weekdays only Weekends - have to stand in line What to get: +everything bagel TOASTED + tofu veggie schmear hands down. It's incredible. Ask for thicker the schmear - the better. I personally think the tofu schmears are better than regular cream cheese flavors +Blueberry bagel + plain cream cheese = average +i've heard walnut maple schmear is good to satisfy sweet craving and onion & chive schmear excellent for savory BRIO Nitro Cold Brew ($4.75+tax) - $$, but outstanding Pro tip: open the bagel up into 2 halves and eat with the bagel on the bottom. Everything bagel seasoning touching the tongue is amazing Service: very slow, but friendly! Next Visit: will definitely be coming back next time in town!! So so good.

Abigail C.

Yelp
The blueberry bagels and strawberry cream cheese are SO BAD. If i wanted to pay 20 dollars for a rubber tire I would gone to the junkyard. The breakfast sandwiches need desperate help and vanilla iced coffee tasted like water. I have no idea why everyone raves about this place I have never had a good time.

Ann Marie G.

Yelp
Great bagels and service! I decided to try Luke's on a Sunday and realized I've found the best NYC bagels without having to travel to NYC!

Nannette H.

Yelp
Pros: large, tasty bagels; friendly staff, best tofu vggie cream cheese I have ever had. Cons: production time and high prices. Everything is ruined by how long you have to wait. No bagel sandwich is worth waiting 45 minutes for. On a Thursday afternoon, around noon, they were sold out of almost everything, so it wasn't that busy. Ordered 4 cream cheese/bagel sandwiches, plus one with egg. Waited 20 minutes for the ones with cream cheese. Couldn't figure out what was taking so long with the egg one, but we noted hardly any food was coming out generally. After waiting another 10 minutes, my husband asked someone in the hot food area what was going on, and they said they would check on his egg sandwich order. They never came back. Meanwhile, the rest of us finished our sandwiches in the car as we considered just leaving without the last one as we had to get to a grad ceremony. But after 45 minutes, the last sandwich finally appeared....without explanation or apology for the excessive wait. I've always liked Luke's, but the waits now seem to be a given, and I'm not here for it. Literally no other bagel shop I have ever been to takes so long to get the food out. Not sure what takes so long, but if the space isn't conducive to making sandwiches, maybe stop and just sell the bagels and cream cheese for people to take home.

Jon R.

Yelp
Really was the best bagel I've had! We went in a Saturday morning and had to wait over an hour but it really was worth it. The sign says it's made with New York water and I don't know if that is the difference but it was crazy good

Jane J.

Yelp
Never in my life would I think gainesville wold have amazig bagels. Someome I work with reeommended I stop here to get breakfast. I did not know it was not a restaraunt more order at the window and eat in your car. I loved the bagel I actualy wish I could take them home but I am stopping one more place on my road trip. Seriosly one of the best bagels I have ever had! Serive was friendly and leave a tip those college kids work hard!

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
I can't speak for the authenticity of these being New York style or not because...Florida. But I CAN speak for these being delicious nonetheless. We drove by and noticed there was quite the crowd waiting around and figured we're here, we might as well. Grabbed a coffee up the street at Wyatts and headed back to Luke's to place our order. About an hour later we were scarfing them down. I opted for simplicity. A plain bagel with cream cheese. My husband chose the Everything Bagel with Veggie Tofu- both were Awesome! My cousin ordered a bagel sandwich with the works- egg and cheese and she was also pretty impressed. Some may argue it's not worth the wait, some may argue it is...we had the time and opted to use it waiting for the bagel and nah...we didn't regret it.

PBR M.

Yelp
Bagels were good the wait sucks. Not worth the time. It made me think they are just trying to act special with garbage service. They are bagels it shouldn't take 40 minutes and suck a dick with your little story outside. Wait suck 2 dicks...you are special and need an extra dick in your mouth.

Yelp
I got here right when this place open. I waited over 30 minutes for my bagel to be COLD. I would have no problem waiting that long for hot or even somewhat warm food. It was not fun to eat cold egg and cheese on a barely even toasted bagel. The strawberry cream cheese which I got on a different bagel was DISGUSTING!!! It was unnaturally pink and not even a chunk of a real strawberry, definitely plain cream cheese with strawberry extract and food coloring. This place is OVERRATED. I would not recommend this place.

Yelp
go there and wait 20 min for 6 bagels and a tub of cream cheese. what a joke! plus it was 2.95 a bagel. shame on me

Yelp
Best bagels in Gainesville! I always try to come here early because the lines can get very long, and for good reason. I love getting their bagel sandwiches. The one with sausage, egg, and cheese is my go-to. I usually get the everything or sesame bagels which are great, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside

Yelp
The best bagels in Gainesville. I love their everything bagel, bacon, egg, cheese, and hash brown! The only thing they have to get together is time management. You could be the only one waiting for a bagel but it will take no less than 20-30 minutes.

Yelp
I've only gone to this restaurant once, but 6 months later and it's STILL on my mind. I was asked this morning where have I had the best breakfast sandwich, and it was here. The customer service was phenomenal, the portions are more than enough for a meal, and the sandwich I had was soooo delicious. It's relatively inexpensive, and I think about it often lol. If you're ever in Gainesville, go here!

Yelp
Lukes bagels has become my all time favorite bagel shop I've ever been to. The worst part of it is... I don't even live local. Every time I come to Gainesville I try to come here as often as possible. I love a good bagel and Luke's has the best. I think everyone knows everything bagels are king. Thankfully Luke's bagels make A LOT of them. It was the morning after game day and we waiting in line for two hours to get some bagels... and yess.. it's worth it. I got an everything bagel toasted with bacon, egg, and cream cheese. It's seriously spectacular. So mouth watering and delicious. So much flavor, they fill the bagel with seeds and cream cheese. I would come here everyday if I could. Thankfully I was able to take a few bagels home with me for the freezer. If you haven't given lukes a try, do yourself a favor! I recommend calling in an order on a weekday to ensure you get what you want! I've also tried their jalapeño bagel, their bacon & cheddar, and some others. My favorite is always the everything bagel, but I would eat every one of these again. Please give them a try!

Yelp
All I can say is wow! These bagels reminded me so much of the ones that I experienced while visiting NYC! They are humongous flavor through every bite! It was well worth the money and worth the wait! So happy that Gainesville has a great place like Luke's! We can't wait to come back and bring friends!
