Yelp
Ended up in Troy for a shopping trip, and I love to support small businesses especially during the time of COVID, I turned to yelp and found this place to have pretty good reviews, and just down the street from us.
They adhered to social distancing, it was definitely dated decor, but well kept, with a nice garden outside.
Our waitress was great, very attentive, it was a very hot day and i requested extra ice with my water, and she brought back some extra ice a few more times when she refilled the water.
They specialize in Polish cuisine- Which in my opinion can be hard to find it done well.
They get 4 stars for the food and quality.
Dill pickle soup was excellent, not overly sour, but sour enough. Dumplings in the chicken and dumpling soup were tender and fresh.
They have a variety of combos, and i got the super to get a taste of everything. My highlights were the cheese pierogis, and the stuffed cabbage, but the kielbasa was amazing. Potato pancakes were some of the best ive had, not overly greasy, and cooked nicely. My sister loved the homemade mashed potatoes.
My husband had the stuffed chicken breast, and didnt have any leftovers. He said it was delicious and filling, but i never got to taste it lol.
If im ever craving POlish again, I will make the drive out.
For us three, it was about 42 dollars plus a tip.
