Lula's

The pimento cheese on bread for the appetizer was delicious! The bread was toasted but still chewable, and the cucumber and sprouts on top of the cheese was a refreshing touch. My 2 piece fried chicken thigh and wing was the best restaurant fried chicken I've had in a while. The breading was crispy, the right amount and the meat was flavorful. The biscuit that accompanied the chicken tasted homemade with the crispy crust and soft interior. I would go there again! The service was slower than your average chain restaurant, but the food was soooo worth the wait!!

Really great food and options. The brussel sprouts with honey were great and the fresh lemonade was excellent. Our waiter seemed inexperienced, but he didn't make any mistakes and had a great attitude. He'll be great with practice. I had the wedge salad with fried chicken. I don't normally like fried chicken, but I'd have it here again. Not greasy, nice thick breading, boneless. All the things on my salad were top quality, from the dressing to the tomatoes.

This place is better than Spanky's IMO, but I had only gone to Spanky's once. Lula's is a fried chicken / Southern restaurant with classics like Fried chicken with biscuit, chicken biscuit sandwiches, sides of green beans, mac & cheese and the like. My bf and I split the Fried Chicken Thigh on a biscuit with spun sage honey and the Fried Green Tomato sandwich. They were both delicious. The fried chicken was cooked well, though the breading did get a little soggy, but the flavors were perfect. We also split the green beans and mac & cheese sides, and that's where I knocked off a star. The mac was just okay, lacking flavor/seasoning. The green beans were a great texture but needed a little more fat. It is a Southern restaurant, so might as well go full out with the fat and salt! Service was great, no complaints there at all. :) Food came out pretty quick for a Tuesday Lunch.

As soon as we arrived we had to wait on the door because there wasn't any waiter around. A slow day, less than a quarter of occupied seats. Once sat, another long wait for ordering, and another long wait for the food to arrive... And parts of the order were wrong. The waiter interrupted our conversation to ask clarifications regarding the order. Less than average service, and not exciting food. The beers are what really stand out.

If you are searching for gluten free fried chicken, this is the place! So good, crunchy, but not greasy, on the outside and moist on the inside. The wait staff was fabulous and worked together to make our meal wonderful.

Excellent fried chicken. Crispy skin and juicy meat. Tasty fries and Mac n cheese. Just took a little long.

Very cool place with a chill atmosphere the food was top notch and they had 100% sanitation rating which is rare! I will go back

I dined here last Thursday for lunch. I was greeted immediately , and was seated at a quaint table at the back. My only regret was that I should've been seated at the bar; as I was seated next to a table where the conversation was a bit obnoxious. Back to the food: I chose the two piece dark meat, and biscuit with a side of Lula fries. The chicken was fried perfectly. Crisp skins and tender meat inside. The fries were a little too much, but my daughter enjoyed eating them later that night. My overall experience was adequate, although the food took nearly 20 plus minutes to arrive. My waiter Jonathan was a pleasure and honestly one of the only reasons why I'd return. I think the set up of the restaurant was beautiful and they give you crisp water in beautiful glass bottles. I wish I had thought to capture a picture. Thanks Lulas, the chicken was great, I'll be back.
