The Best Regional Food Specialties of New England - Eater Boston

"At its several locations, Lull Farms offers anything from fresh meat and produce to apple-picking opportunities, but cider doughnuts remain consistent on the menu — with or without cinnamon sugar, though the crunch the sugar adds is a textural triumph." - Stasia Brewczynski

Lull is everything you want it to be, and more. Hands down, the town off Hollis' favorite farmstand turned friendly small town market. A fine mix of home grown fruits and veggies sold next to other local farms selection fresh produce as well hand-made crafts. I cannot confirm this, but Lull has the largest selection of homegrown tomatoes and some of the best looking heirlooms I have had the pleasure of enjoying. As well, some of the largest homegrown squash I've ever seen! Outside, they have a vast selection of potted flora alongside various herbs and veggies. Cant forget to mention, during the summer months, if you're lucky enough to catch a few of their employeed Jamaicans running a big ol' jerk chicken BBQ shack filling the air with mouth watering aromatics. Bring the kiddos as they have your quintessential line-up of farm animals waiting to be pet and loved. For the past few years, I have been on a hunt for watermelons WITH SEEDS! No luck, until I visited today and to my delight; GIGANTIC SEEDED WATERMELONS! Put the one I purchased on the scale when I got home and this puppy clocked in just shy of 40 POUNDS! Friendly and knowledgeable staff readily available to answer any questions or help lugging a giant watermelon or squash to the car. Check it out and you'll keep coming back. Tell em "Johnny sent me!" To receive a weird face and someone saying "Who the heck is Johnny?" 10/10

Google
I love this place. Friendly, variety of so many savory and tasty treats, meats, deli, baked goods along with the homegrown produce. Plenty of parking. Exit 6 off Route 3 in NH. It's worth the drive. They have apple picking and cider doughnuts, too.

Google
So much here! Love coming to this place. Great local place to get treats, fresh veggies, so much to see here. I will come back for sure!

Google
I'm obsessed! Ive been coming from out of state a couple of times a month. They have duck eggs! My favorite! The deserts are out of this world and meat choices galore including exotic meats. The meatballs are awesome! I like trying the different frozen appetizers they make.

Google
This place has amazing varieties. I've never seen so many heirloom tomato types. Excellent indoor store comparable to Butcher Boy or McKinnons for gourmet cheeses, condiments, odds, and ends.

Google
Just an absolutely wonderful "farm stand". The freshest fruits and vegetables (often grown themselves), fresh baked breads and baked goods, flowers and vegetable plants in the growing season, the absolute freshest seafood from the folks at The Daily Haul - just an amazing collection of foods. Need a Christmas tree or pumpkin - look no further. Open year round!

Google
Lull Farm has a huge selection of apples in the fields while they're in season. The store also has a lot to choose from. The spiced peaches are just soo good. I was gifted them on Mother's Day and I'll probably be back for more. The bakery also has a lot of options and I love going there every time I'm in Hollis.

Google
What a great day spent at Lull Farm! Lots to do - Sunflowers, Pumpkin patch, apple picking, animals, and the cutest store. Today was our first time here and I think this will have to be added into our annual visit. We bought the apple cider donuts and the strawberry soda. Both were delicious! A must see in fall
google avatar

Yelp
quintessential new england farm and market. a must go to in the fall. excellent doughnuts and cider.

Yelp
This a great New England farm stand. Good prices on common vegetables and fruit. Also prepared regional specialties, bakery, cheese. Very laid back friendly staff. You may also find some surprises like BBQ jerk chicken. Everyting irie!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for ice, the young man said we have some in the back I'll get some for you. I walked the store and it was awesome. Hollis corn, farm fresh, their own cherries, ice cream, chickens (frozen), pies, whoopee pies, maple sugar/syurp just fantastic. BTW the ice was free. They have a freezer and Ice is a high profit product they should bag it so we can grab it.

Yelp
TOMATO LOVERS ALERT! There's no substitute for fresh locally grown tomatoes picked when ripe. And in New England it's a very short season. which means that most of the year the available tomatoes aren't very good. We were heading to Andres Institute of Art (An AMAZING sculpture park in the woods in Brookline, NH) and drove by this place. My instincts told me this was going to be special and they were right! I've lived by some great farm stands outside of Boston (Idylwilde and Wilson Farms) but neither has the variety- especially of tomatoes that this place has in August. There had to be 50 or 60 different kinds of fresh tomatoes! There weret least 20 kinds of Heirloom tomatoes with helpful signage describing the tastes, characteristics and uses. Loads of smaller cherry size tomatoes. There was plenty of other vegetables and fruits all reasonably priced. Some wonderful baked goods, and fresh cheeses were also tempting. And the corn we brought home was delicious. There was some delicious-looking jerk chicken on the barbecue outside. Next time! The place (like Andres above) is a real jewel!

Yelp
Guys beware if you have a big grocery. I bought variety of apples and few sauce and bagels Total came around 91 dollars and it was a tall guy who cashed us out.. When went back in car saw charge of unsulfered peaches which I never bought. It may be accidental or intentional but I went back in and this time There was a lady who immediately gave me refund saying unsulfered peaches are not in the season Just check your receipts before you leave the store

Stacy S.

Yelp
Great produce, plants and baked goods. I like that they stay open seasonally longer too.

Sean C.

Yelp
Very good selection. Fresh Mozzarella is excellent with there vast amount of heirloom tomatoes and fresh herbs. The addition of a bakery in the last few years was a good idea and the fresh cooked jerk chicken is excellent. If you need help ask the staff is great but they are not going to go out of there way for normal exchanges that's southern NH not friendly but if you ask for help you will get it. It's really an amazing place and a must go to for anyone in the area. There are many good farms near but Lull is the best for selection. They are the most popular for a reason. For less crowded Brookdale is next door and smaller probably a little more affordable too decent, but Brookdale might have one or two kinds of tomatoes and Lull has about 15 different kinds so think about what you want.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh fruits and vegetables. The corn is very good also. The farm sells fruit pies that look wonderful ( made by another vendor) Unfortunately, mine came with a large insect inside the wrapper. Lull's was great about giving me a credit. The strange part is they were not surprised. This was not the first pie to have insects. I think there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Yelp
This is one of my wife's favorite places to shop. She goes here primarily in the summer and fall when all of the fruits and vegetables are out. They also sell meats, pastries, jams, jellies, and other products. Price are on the high side but so is the quality. They have apple picking in the fall. There is an old green Saab from the 1970s on display. I don't think it runs but it is cool to look at.
google avatar

Anissa Z.

Yelp
Nice farm market. Great veggies and fruits at reasonable prices. I would have liked a bigger bakery selection (ie more selection of cookies) but the breads and pies I saw looked good. Amazing local farm and farm stand carrying fruits, veggies, meats, breads, desserts, jams, cheeses, by the pound sides, soups and....real fresh cooked off the grill Jamaican jerk chicken (limited time only, usually in the summer!) Delicious ginger bread cookies. Rare and hard to find healthy drinks.

Yelp
I was very happy with Lull Farm Stand this year and every year before that with every little thing that has happened this 2020. They were on point with there hand washing stands and signs asking customers to mask up before entering the store and provideing gloves to pick up Produce. The staff as always friendly and alway has an answer to my questions. I hope to be back for the Pumpkin lighting. I hope this year. A great place to visit from spring to fall. For me. And its always good to support local farming businesses.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
They have a wide selection of produce, meat, and dairy. I do like the local fresh eggs. The meat is also local but it's frozen and (buyer beware) when it thaws it's going to leak from the heat-sealed packaging all over the inside of your fridge. That has happened to me twice. I also highly recommend you check the "best by" date on dairy - I've purchased a few things only to realize the expiration date was the date purchased. Last thing, I'm not necessarily a household name among the local populations but considered the employees to be anything but friendly or welcoming. A bit odd in that they didn't appear interested in my patronage one way or the other.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Love Lull Farm. Vegetables are always fresh and fabulous. The mixed berry pie is to die for. Cut flowers are amazing. Workers from the fields are super nice & so are the employees. The only downside can be the prices. I find it sad that prices are off the charts for fresh food but if you want the junk from the supermarket you can pay a close second. So we pay the higher. I think more people would shop at farms if the farms didn't take advantage of us. I'm lucky I can afford to but not everyone can even though they should.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Love this place! Always go there for bagels on Saturday, the strawberry milk is amazing, and the cream cheeses are my favorite. It's a litttttttle on the pricey side, but it is totally worth it.

Ruby H.

Yelp
The best farm in the Southern NH area, amazing corn, strawberries, apples and they have fresh baked good and the farm workers sell some BOMB JERK CHICKEN - WOW! GET SOME!
google avatar

Theresa K.

Yelp
Update: Still horrible employee attitudes towards the customers. No hello, no goodbye, no thank you after checkout, no eye contact. Wish I didn't like their products so much

Carolyn H.

Yelp
There needs to be a "wear a mask" to shop here sign and a person to enforce this as soon as one enters. One of the reasons we shop here. Otherwise we will go to Whole Foods as they have someone spraying carraige handles and giving masks to shoppers if they forget. We were shopping at Lull on today, 8/14/2020 and 2 - 3 adults came in with 2-3 children without masks or concerns. The virus is still a concern!!!!
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
I really want to like this place more, I do. The setup is what you would expect of a New England farm stand. The products are decent but are overpriced. However, each and every time I've been over the summer, to include today, the customer service/human interaction is poor. When you checkout it's as if you aren't the customer but rather the person providing the product to them. In other words, a genuine 'thank you' would be welcomed.
google avatar

Vanessa E.

Yelp
This is my favorite farm to visit in the autumn. I have been coming here for years! The apple orchard is small but usually reliable for some good good picking. Some other orchards in the New England area can be massive and overwhelming, so this is a nice alternative! The shop has some beautiful produce and baked goods. The candy section is pretty amazing too. Behind the shop/farm is a little area where you can visit the cows/goats/rabbits - I always look forward to saying hello to them!
google avatar

Cary S.

Yelp
Love this store, but won't return until the pandemic is over -- kitchen staff could be seen either not wearing masks or masks not completely covering nose and mouth -- very, very bad.
google avatar

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Holy lord and sweet swaddlin baby Jesus in the manger, have you tried the jerk chicken they serve on weekends? Have you seen the light as I have and found Jesus through jerk chicken? No? For the love of god, get some. Autumn is jerk chicken time. Forget the apple picking (though it's some of the best I've ever found), or the local produce and products (that instantly make you feel like a better person when you buy them), or the fact that this farm stand is truly the gateway to autumn (though they're open year round, and they'll still make you their maple frosted apple cider donuts if you order ahead) - this time of year, it's all about that jerk chicken. Though I wish they actually sold the amazing sauce they serve with it. That would literally make the world a better place. Can I get an amen? And some pumpkins with a bundle of corn stalks for my front porch? Thanks.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
5 stars for the selection and quality of produce, but 1 star for the level of service! We frequently get rude service by the cashier and they don't seem to care too much about the experience of the customer. All of the produce is fresh and delicious, but their service leaves us wanting more!
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Great sample in Hollis. Always a beautiful place in any season with more food options. The local produce is the best and they bring in out of season produce that is always good. Fruit picking -- apples, cherries, berries, pumpkins -- is a great excuse to get outdoors.
google avatar

Lee V.

Yelp
Wonderful farm with good variety, prices, and customer service. I have always been happy with the selection. The store has a nice layout and is organized and tidy. During the current COVID-19 landscape, they are doing an amazing job meeting customer demand while staying safe. I recently utilized their curbside order pickup option which was wonderful. I love being able to buy my produce here and support the local community.

Yelp
Lull Farm has a Jamaican/4-20 friendly theme. It's a Jamaica Plain of its own. Their variety of heirloom tomatoes is spectacular; they also have the strangely tasting "husk tomatoes" (YMMV) They carry sodas made in New Hampshire; one can get a brilliantly green lemon-lime along with maple cream that's essentially carbonated maple syrup (good for ice cream floats) In the summer, this place is vibrant and active. Their takeout menu is sizable&the pasta salads looked excellent. One Love, mon.
google avatar

Tricia B.

Yelp
I always look forward to a trip to Lull Farm. All year I go to buy their home made preserves or pick up all different varieties of fruit and veg. We especially love the fall. It is hard to find unpasteurized apple cider near me. Once you mess with cider it is more like apple juice, but Lull's is perfect. You can even watch it be made if you're lucky. Christmas trees in the winter are always beautiful and last much longer than others we bought in the past. Over all I have found the staff friendly and the prices reasonable. If you want cheap buy from a grocery store and support the farms in South America, buy here and support local farms and businesses. Better for the neighborhood, the environment, and one's health.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! On a trip from Florida we got to Apple pick the biggest apples I've ever seen! They were so beautiful the morning of our flight we went picking again and made so many pies when we got home! I also put together baskets in pics for my nieces :) I wished I lived up there I would shop everyday! The produce fresh of coarse was beautiful and so many varieties of everything! I brought home many little pumpkins too! I couldn't resist!! :)

James R.

Yelp
I bought an arrangement of roses here for Valentine's Day and they were beautiful, so for Mother's Day, I called to order another arrangement ahead of time. The guy who answered the phone said something like, "Oh, um, you can try but we're kind of between florists right now." What is that supposed to mean? Are they selling floral arrangements or not? I asked for clarification and he said he couldn't take an order for flowers over the phone and cryptically said I had to send a note to "the email." When I asked for the email address be provided it, but the whole interaction had a flavor of, "Good luck getting flowers from us." When I sent an email to order the flowers, no one ever responded, not even to confirm that they couldn't fill the order. When I sent a follow-up email to express my disappointment and cancel the order (because by then we were getting too close to Mother's Day and I couldn't wait any longer), no one responded to that email either. Where is the business ethic?

Yelp
As you can see, this is my third review of Lull. It's a different expierence everytime I go. Lately it's been a positve one, so I'll give them three stars. The bakery is amazing. I also love the produce selection. It is expensive and not everything is grown on site. Some produce is outsourced. That being said, I'm willing to pay for good, fresh food. They are my families go to honey and cider place. Farms are expensive because it costs a lot to run a farm. I just wish that the employees were consistently friendly, so that the expense was justified.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
First off, I am a huge fan of this farm stand. I shop there weekly. However I Just picked up some of your bakery goods this evening. One of the items was a cannoli. I would guess that is had been in the case for more than a day. The shell was more like the base of a week old pie. Very disappointed. You need to up your game or don't bother.
google avatar

Stacey D.

Yelp
People who are complaining because they expect to pay the same prices at Lull Farm that they pay at Super Wal-Mart should just stick to their local big box stores. Lull is an amazing little farm carrying a wide variety of fruits and veg that I've either never seen in my local supermarket or have not found as fresh and delicious. We make stopping at Lull our first step on grocery day. Kohlrabi, garlic scapes, FRESH delicious tomatoes, colorful potatoes... Just a smattering of my must-haves. This year we planted a small garden and our plants from Lull THRIVED! And we do believe it was the plants, because our neighbor shared the garden with us and her sad little plants barely produced any fruit. Lull is a wonderful gem out in Hollis, support our local farmers and pop in soon!
google avatar

Mantis T.

Yelp
Yo what are all these dillholes on here complaining about? The line is too long? Pineapples are too expensive? Do everyone else on here who likes this place a favor and go shop at Wal-Mart. Lull Farm is dope (pun intended) and the people that work there are nice. They're an institution and a family name in Hollis/Southern New Hampshire. They've got great product, including some of the best unpasteurized apple cider anywhere. There's bulk dry goods, cool local stuff and great produce. WAAH WAAH WAAH is all I see from some of these Yelpers. Get a grip and stop complaining about non-issues. Lull's just expanded to create a bakery, but they already had 3 types of cider donuts...THREE. There's also bunnies and goats and all sorts of stuff...so yeah it's the bomb.com. Yelpers who don't like this place can bite it.
google avatar

Lana A.

Yelp
Overpriced -- $21 for a peck size bag of apples??? You've got to be kidding me! If my husband hadn't been the one checking out I would have demanded a reweigh! It's too bad Lull's has such good heirloom tomatoes (currently $3 a pound,) including varieties that are hard to find elsewhere. I'll certainly miss those. And when will these farm stands learn that people want vegetables that have been grown BY THE LOCAL FARMERS? Why do they import so much other stuff when we'd be happier getting our lemons and pineapples at a regular grocery store for a much lower price? Personally, I'm tired of asking which veggies have been locally grown only to find out that very few are. Lull Farms is especially guilty of this.

Yelp
I have been a frequent shopper of the location in Milford, very nice and friendly staff..always! I seldom go to the one in Hollis, today has changed that to NEVER. I am not sure I will go to the one in Milford again either if the owner's opinion of customer service is what I encountered today. I won't go into a lot of detail, no one wants to read a mile ling review. They were busy, the line was long and the girl at the register was new, as I would rudely find out later, she was slow. When another employee came over to help her she refused the help. We went to an other register we thought was open but were not sure. When we asked the cashiers response was "No I just like to stand behind the counter." I made a comment about the other cashier being slow, he told me she was new and needed to learn just like he did. As a person that as worked in the food industry for over 20 years I would never say either of those things to a customer. When I called to speak to management about this, I was told by her that she knew what situation I was talking about and that she had heard part of the conversation. She then proceeded to me that what I said about the girl being slow was rude. Apparently, at this location the customer is wrong and the employees are right.

Yelp
OK, so it is more expensive than the grocery store most of the time, but it is worth it. I mean, I love Market Basket, but they don't have mesculin mix with edible flowers. Everything here is fresh and beautiful. It is worth it to me to have the experience of leaving the city and seeing the bounty of the seasons. In the fall there is apple picking and pumpkin choosing. Some days you can watch the cider press in action. In the spring and summer there is blueberry picking, strawberry picking, and flower choosing. They have a huge field of all different kinds of sunflowers for your viewing pleasure. The tomatoes are a real treat. Ya, they are more expensive than the grocery store, but they have about two dozen varieties, none of which were bred to live on a shelf longer or coated with wax to prevent rotting like the ones in the grocery store. Inside the shop they have VT and NH made cheese and meats, too. When you walk out into the apple trees you are on a slope. When you go all the way to the back you are rewarded with a beautiful view that includes verdant trees, fruitful fields and a white church steeple in the distance. As farmer Dave says; Eat your View! Not only is this stuff better, it is better for the environment, and that helps you enjoy it even more.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
I've heard many good things about this farm from neighbors and friends. I like how this place is big, well organized, tidy, and has a lot of variety. The pumpkins and gourds are outside, in the front of the market. They sell their locally grown produce (apples, berries, pomegranates, potatoes, beets, corn, eggplant, butternut squash, peas, etc), salad mixes, meats, bottled Apple Cider, mulled cider mixes and more. In the bakery section, you'll find cream puffs, chocolate eclair, fruit tarts, tiramisu, apple cider donuts, and a variety of rolls and loafs of bread. They also sell my neighbor's Camp Mix, jams, salad dressings, small plants and skin care products. The prices are reasonable. They also have really good New England Clam Chowder!
google avatar

Adam W.

Yelp
Check out the animals out back! Our son loves seeing the cows, bunnies, goats, sheep and chickens! We get our fresh veggies here while they are open. Awesome product grown locally in most cases. We get our corn, tomatoes (Farmer Dave grows A TON of different varieties of heirloom) as well as a number of other veggies here! All great products!

Yelp
I have been coming to Lull Farm for as long as I can remember- there are photos of me prancing around the apple orchard as a three-year-old and picking out tons of candy in the farm store as a seven-year-old. Now at 24, I come here at my own will and bring my friends, too. It is always such a treat to be able to step into this place, whether out of necessity or just for fun. In the fall, the place is filled with excited apple-pickers, pumpkins and gourds of orange, white, red, yellow, and green, a sea of mums, the scent of fresh cider donuts, a fresh, bountiful harvest and jolly murmur. Around thanksgiving through christmas they are taking orders for fresh baked pies and decorated wreaths. In the spring and summer you can expect bright blooms, strawberry vines and blueberry bushes. Maybe even a barbecue every now and then where they sell jamaican jerk chicken fresh off the grill! Year-round, this is one of my favorite markets for fresh eggs, dairy, local cheeses, produce and lots of local goods like honey, jams, sauces, soaps, dog treats, and chocolate. A great spot for gifts! Now that I live almost two hours away, these things have become even more of a treat and I make sure to take home with me as much as I can when I am privileged enough for a visit. The farm hands and staff are some of the loveliest people there are, always up to offer smiles and jokes or a hand for the door. I don't mean to wax poetic, but between the willow trees that nest beside the parking area and the humble magic that floats around the entire farm, I just can't help it. This place is quintessentially New England and very near and dear to my heart! It is beautiful and busy, and quiet and calm, and absolutely deserving of a visit.
google avatar

Tracy J.

Yelp
Adorable farm stand. In addition to fresh fruit and veggies they sell this balsamic vinegar that is divine. You can buy the glass bottle and refill. Vinegar is thick and dense in flavor. Great selection of pumpkins in fall.
google avatar

Sandy H.

Yelp
Lull Farm is VERY expensive, but handy to have in town. Their heirloom tomatoes are fabulous -- get 'em while you can! Also try their own squashes and potatoes -- all in-season, of course. Oh, and the corn is irresistible. Their "fresh" flower bouquets are expensive, but nice. When the flowers begin to wilt, though, the prices do not drop accordingly, so beware!
google avatar

Stacey K.

Yelp
We love going to Lull. Yes, prices may be a bit more expensive, but, we don't mind. We'll pay a little bit more for freshly made bread & fresh, local, produce. We've never encountered a rude employee and have found them to be pleasant and helpful. I read one review from 2013 where a woman was complaining about an employee being new and too slow and she felt that she was right for complaining about this employee. I've got news for you. Yes, sometimes the customer is wrong. We all have to start somewhere and I think that you are the rude one for not being patient and letting the poor girl wait on you to further her training. As said in other posts, If you don't like the prices and don't like to know where your food is coming from, please quietly make your way to one of the chain stores and buy your food there.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Best place around for local grown produce. Even after their renovations they are still a true Farm stand, selling farm fresh produce. They aren't trying to "give you the experience of a small family farm" they ARE a small family farm. Regarding their pricing ... if you purchase their own produce it's very reasonably priced. Their fresh corn is the best around. It's worth the daily drive out there as they variety never disappoints. Farmer Dave is usually around and always willing to talk to you about the produce and ways to use it in your cooking. I've also noticed the same workers there summer after summer. And they are always friendly and helpful, even going into the greenhouse to get me plants that were not yet put out for sale. We do our weekly produce shopping here nearly year round, and are happy to pay the extra price for out of season or non-local produce in order to keep this gem of a resource around.

Yelp
Well, as the other reviews have mentioned, Lull Farm is definitely overpriced. Has been that way for a long time, but there was something to be said for the unusual products and the whole experience. They have renovated and certainly expanded and spruced up the market, but the costs are certainly and directly being passed on to the consumer. Given the already high costs, it just now seems like things are now ridiculously way overpriced. One can do better buying local at the store or hitting up farmers markets in season. One other thing that I've noticed - the proliferation of some sort of hemp product around every other corner. As you may have heard, the owner was arrested last summer ('08) for growing a whole bunch of the wacky weed on his back porch. The hemp stuff (which wasn't around in that kind of quantity before) just comes off as preachy and annoying.
google avatar

Yelp
This farmstand / grocery is a great source for natural and local foods. However, not everything is local. But the distantly grown produce is selected for the shop, and is generally good. The baked goods come from local bakeries (like Crosby's in Nashua) and is mostly fresh. The organic "natural" 20 grain breads are there. However they have food that normal people like as well. The key to what makes Lull a good stop is in the fall. Apple picking is a great time. Their pumpkins are a bit pricy, but the photo op potential of the barn, shop, and general grounds balance it all out. THE CIDER... It is some kind of blend of different apples that are so well balanaced they should create an award somewhere just for it to win. It's only drawback is distance from the general population. But a great weekend jaunt if the mood strikes.

Yelp
I love this place. A New England Gem with a Hippie Jamaican Vibe. I'm totally addicted to the fresh OJ. A true New England experience! They do a beautiful pumpkin carving exhibit every halloween. And lots of pumpkins. Apple picking is great... the kids love it. Can order fresh farm raised never frozen chickens/turkey too. Worth the price for fresh local produce. Love the local corn, peaches and tomatoes too. I support FARMER DAVE!

Pat C.

Yelp
As a frequent customer of Lull Farm in Hollis, my experiences with both the staff and Farmer Dave have always been pleasant. I was shocked to read a review posted that placed blame on Lull Farm AT ALL after I myself, witnessed the behavior of the two year old child mentioned in another review. It was only AFTER her son had damaged some of the baked goods and broken a jar (that the mother walked away from) that I saw Farmer Dave speak to this woman. Responsible parents would not leave their child unattended in a grocery store, why would she do it at Lull Farm? Lull Farm has fresh produce, an amazing cheese selection and fantastic bread fresh from their bakery. I will most certainly be returning!!

Yelp
Excellent cider donuts and grocery. Large selection of fresh apples and baked goods. Picturesque siting for a photo.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible produce. They always find the best, no matter what the season. Lots of interesting preserves, fresh baked breads, range-fed beef, fresh chickens and ducks. My favorites are the garlic stuffed olives and the 2-year aged Colby cheese. They've got gourmet cheeses, too. In the summer, you can walk around back and see the animals; my kids just love this. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. And, oh, the heritage tomatoes... simply heavenly with some light salt. If I could afford it, I'd buy all my food there. Everything is beyond delicious. Superb!

Yelp
On the fence about this place. 1.5 lbs of tomatoes weighed in the produce section came to 2.5 lbs at the checkout counter. Something's wrong, don't know which. Pricey enough without the scales being off. $4 a half pint of berries at Lull's, $3 a half pint at Kimball's. Kimball's PYO, $3 a full pint.
