Yum!!!! Yum, double yum and triple yum! Suggestion: don’t wait until late afternoon to go as many flavours were sold out when we arrived at 5 PM. We nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream cones ( chocolate, roasted strawberry, and caramel). The staff were great and let us try many flavors. As I said, Yum! The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, including the bathroom.

Could not recommend more, homemade amazing ice cream my husband had basil that he really enjoyed I had buttermilk blackberry and they even had special dog cups

I absolutely love how much care and attention to detail this place puts into the process of making their ice cream! Their flavors are also so creative and delicious. I highly recommend you stop for a cone, creemee, or whatever!! Update 7/14 - My favorite flavors so far have been salted maple and three amigos sorbet. Patiently waiting for peanut butter to be on the scoop list:)

It's in a good location downtown. It was a beautiful day in the 70°s.Cute layout with a couple of outside. Sadly they didn't have the ice cream 🍦 I requested, perhaps they never do. I asked the young man for a suggestion, none was given. Looked like they had freshly baked brownies and pints of ice cream available. A crowd came in so I just left 🙂 People outside were enjoying the scooped ice cream 🍦 🍨.

The ice cream is simply divine! Friendly staff. The place is decorated beautifully. I highly recommend the Bon Jour which is made With Goat milk with French toast flavors and it was amazing! Just delicious. This place is perfect for all seasons. Right in the heart of Vergennes Main Street! Check them out!

Perfect ice cream. They do subtle flavors really well, like Honey/Lavender. Their basil ice cream is divine. They make their waffle cones fresh in-house, and it’s the best I’ve ever had. Been several times. Loved every flavor. Friendly staff.

Came for the creemees, stayed for the ice cream! After going on a creemee adventure all throughout Vermont, we finally made our way to Vergennes. We have tried some of the best creemees the whole state has to offer and we were curious how this place ranked. When we arrived, it had a BIG line, so we definitely knew something had to be good! The atmosphere of this place is really cute, and they have hard ice cream (which I think is their specialty), soft serve (known as creemees in Vermont), as well as coffee and baked goods - both regular and gluten-free! We tried their maple and limoncello creemee flavors, as well as the basil ice cream considering they said it was ranked “best in Vermont” - the creemees were pretty good, but the basil ice cream was excellent! In my opinion, if you come here, you should get their hard ice cream because that seems like what they’re known for. You could be adventurous and try basil (there are no secrets here, it really tastes like basil), but if that’s not your style, they have tons of other awesome flavors to choose from. I would probably skip Lulu’s creemees just because we have had better in Jericho and Jeffersonville, but I can pretty safely say this place has the best hard ice cream I’ve had so far in Vermont. This is a great place nonetheless, and totally worth your time!

The ice cream is sublime, innovative and just wonderful. BUT have you tried their Savory Sandwiches? The Breakfast Biscuit is one of the best I have had. Try that and a affogato, and it will be the highlight of your day!

This place came highly recommended by locals and DID NOT dissapoint! Go if you love ice cream and especially if you love unique flavors. The basil ice cream is just SUCH an experience. So delicious, herby, like a summer garden in a cup! I ended up going with the green tea and blackberry buttermilk ice creams and was so thrilled. Unlike most ice cream it's not disgustingly sweet, so well balanced and the flavors are just perfectly crafted. Pastries looked divine as well. An amazing summer stop near to Burlington!

This place is so cute!! First of all, we were greated with such warm welcomes from the owner and the two girls opening. They were explaining the whole baking side of things, how the ice cream is made in house (and amazing by the way). Plus, they go through SO many eggs, they literally give egg whites out for free!!! That blew my mind- I took 2 . Really clean spot, flavor options are always changing, and they have tasty drinks too!

I visit this place one a year when I visit my sister. I have fond memories of previous years but will discuss this year's visit. Lots of great flavors to choose from. I decided on the "back alley mint chip." It's called "back alley" as they used to grow their own mint in a previous location. Now they source it from local farms. Perhaps the best mint chip I've ever had. The ice cream was white with a slight green tint - what you'd expect if using fresh mint. The chocolate chips were flat square little pieces - much preferred to the type you find in cookies. 5 stars for the flavor. 5 stars for no green food coloring. Looking forward to next year.

Good location and inviting atmosphere. I love Main Street Vergennes and this place fits perfectly. GREAT SERVICE AND AMAZING FOOD AND DRINK! Maddie behind the counter was very friendly and outgoing and makes a mean double dirty chai latte, and Doug makes a great breakfast sandwich! Try the one on the homemade biscuit-WOW! Had to try some ice cream of course even though I was there at breakfast time (and during winter!) and the ol standby vanilla was amazing. One of the best I've ever had. Now I have to go back and try the rest of the flavors :)

This business used to be in Bristol, so easy to get to from Lincoln. They have moved to Vergennes, and I haven't been to that location yet. They often set up at the Bristol Farmers' Market, so I get to enjoy the flavors they bring. Their ice cream is always WONDERFUL!!

100% hands down, my favorite Maple Creemee on our annual Maple Creemee Crawl. The mocha maple was to die for. This is legit the best spot in cutie pie Vergennes. They have super kind staff, it's clean as a whistle and the loo is clean too. Take my word for it, this place rocks. The basil gelato was pretty darn good too.

We crossed over to Vermont from Fort Ticonderoga side. This was just a quick pit stop. Lu-Lu is a very cute nice friendly place. The people attending us where so busy but still keep smiling and made us a great snack. I loved the place. Please go and say hello. Oh ya, GREAT ICE CREAM

On my way north, stopped in Vergennes to walk my dog. Love this quaint town filled with little shops. Saw the cafe for a bathroom opportunity and noticed they served local ice cream. Cafe is clean and open. They sell their ice cream in their fridge, small and big sizes also. I tried couple of flavors, but settled on basil and Lavender/vanilla. Both flavors had very subtle flavors. I will say it's very sweet and rich. I don't like when it's that sweet, but others might. In the bathroom, I read this place won recognitions. I would try if you love decadent sweet ice cream!

Creative and Delicious Some of the tastiest ice cream you'll ever have. Lots of creative flavors and some good old stand by's. Simply terrific!

We read the reviews and made this a destination stop on our way to Burlington. We had the Maple Creemee (soft serve) and Teenage Dream (scoop). The soft serve was very rich and lusciously smooth and creamy. The scoop was delicious - just a little bit icy. The only real complaint was that our cake cones were not crackling fresh - couldn't tell if they were stale or if the humidity had gotten to them. Well worth skipping lunch for.

Excellent coffee and pastries. We didn't try the ice cream, but saw many customers coming it and asking for it. The staff was amazingly welcoming and attentive.

We stopped here on a Friday evening and had a great experience all around. The people at the counter were super patient when it came to letting us try a bunch of flavors and were equally patient as we were being indecisive. Not only was he service great, but the flavors were so interesting and different, from basil to curried peanut. Every single ice cream we tried was excellent, but we settled on getting three scoops - a coffee one (for the other half), Basil, and maple. I only wish we lived closer so we could try more of their unique flavors.

Delicious! Fabulous ice cream, with some very interesting flavors (Basil ice cream anyone?) and of course all the classics. On Main Street in Vergennes, definitely a great stop!

I tried the basil ice cream while on vacation and I absolutely loved it. I wish we had one closer to home. It made my trip all the more memorable.

Delicious magical combo of strawberry shortcake sorbet, chocolate cake, and vanilla bean ice cream decorated to perfection. Laura and the staff was helpful in matching flavor profiles, decorations and even delivery. Always a treat.

We waiting in line here multiple times over the 4th weekend here!.. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!! Everything here is awesome and the people are friendly.

The chocolate ice cream was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten and I don't even like chocolate ice cream. And the strawberry sorbet tasted like actual strawberries :') AMAZING. I'll be returning often.

Easily one of the top 3 ice cream shops in VT, hands down. Whenever we have visitors in the Middlebury area, I always always always recommend a visit to Lulu. For the ice cream purists, finding a flavor is a little difficult, especially when choosing from more "exotic" flavors like basil or curried peanut butter. My favorites flavors are easily Panther Pride (mascarpone, black currant, graham cracker--this thing actually tastes like cheesecake), and the peppermint-type ones. Definitely stop in if you're in the area, but be sure to taste the flavors before committing to $3.50 for a small!

Awesome ice cream! And the pastries looked amazing. Pop tart - yessss. The maple creemie was indeed epic and the classic scoop of chocolate and scoop of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles looked like it belonged in a good magazine and of course was delicious and rich. Yum!

My double scoop of blueberry buttermilk and mimosa (orange rind and champagne) ice cream was superb. Each flavor was rich and subtle. I especially loved the mimosa. The list of available flavors wasn't long when I visited mid-afternoon. Some flavors were crossed out, so I guess they had sold out. It looks as if the store rotates the flavors it offers.

Stopped by Lulu's after dinner for an evening snack and although most of the best flavors of the day were gone, I still had the best coffee ice cream of my life! It's a small, cute place and they make the ice cream on site which means the freshest it could ever be. Can't wait to go back and try the basil or cardamom next time when I'm in VT and will be sure to play some of the board games too.

This is one of my absolute faaavorite ice cream places in the world! The flavors are sooo weird and always sooo good. Both the salted caramel and the watermelon cucumber sorbet are PERFECT! If you're a salt lover, the former is amazingly satisfying. If you need to be refreshed... Try the latter! Everything is homemade so it's super fresh and the flavors are original. It's refreshing to see places like this that offer lighter styles of delicious ice creams. They even have vegan options! Pretty cool. I'll be back every chance I get...

Most AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My family and I visited Lu Lu Ice Cream on September 1st and 2nd, 2021. We absolutely loved the ambiance, vibe, staff and the whole experience! This place was a treasure- New York style vibe in a small town! The Tuscan orange olive cake, almond crossiant, and cafe latte were my favorite! Would recommend Lu Lu Ice Cream to anyone passing! We will surely be back!!

Amazing ice cream and sorbet and the cookies were delicious too. Nice portions and pure flavors make this place a must-stop. Prices were reasonable too.

Having grown up around Bristol I was honestly a little apprehensive when Lu Lu's came to existence a few years back. I was a pretty dedicated patron of the town Cremmee Stand but I can honestly say after multiple experiences Lu Lu's provides, by far, the best ice cream in town. The shop itself is cute and quaint and provides a small space for eat in with some additional tables outside. The ice cream is homemade (starting on site this year for the first time). The flavors are diverse and change frequently. I've had curried ice cream, whiskey ice cram, bourbon ice cream and simple favorites like cookies and cream and cookie dough. Each one is as good as the last. The flavors are always extremely present and are never lost in the cold temperature. The ice cream is extremely smooth and creamy in a way that has you coming back for more and more. It's worth every penny for a scoop at Lu Lu's.

We've been to Lulu's twice during our summer visit to VT even though the store is 30 minute drive. I now realize that I've never had authentic homemade ice cream before going to Lulu's. I thought I had, but now that I've tasted how fresh and flavorful their ice cream is, I keep wanting to make the 30 minute drive back to Bristol for ice cream! The flavors are interesting and change often. But even if you just decide to get a basic flavor, like chocolate, it will be the BEST chocolate you've ever had. They are very nice and helpful about tasting the flavors too. This store is definitely definitely worth the trip. Its different from all the rest.

LuLu is the real deal. Made with fresh local cream and inventive flavors this ice cream is beyond delicious. Case in point, I was in Vermont for about 48 hours and went ... twice. It's a smallish store with space both inside and out to sit and enjoy your cone or cup. On warm days there can be a line, but waiting and anticipating the deliciousness is all part of the fun. If you are anywhere near Bristol, I encourage you to stop in!

This is one of the most unique ice creams I've ever had, and I live in NYC. On our road-trip, we stopped by here after dinner. It was a pleasant surprise. The young woman servicing us was so friendly and relatable. She gave us some samples of amazing flavors like sweet corn, maple bourbon, and basil. They change their flavors everyday! I decided on the lemon-lavender. Really interesting tastes on a great cone. Only $3.50. Located right next to the Bobcat cafe.

Our second road trip of the summer, Lu Lu's was at the top of my most go - to list for Bristol, VT. Wonderfully smooth and creamy ice cream. I got salted caramel, it was simple but flavorful. 3.50 for a single scoop that for once I actually finished, it was the perfect size (for me) so that none went to waste. Good service and despite a line, it went quickly. If you are willing to spend more than average for some high quality ice cream, definitely check out Lu Lu's!

Flavorful icecream but smallest serving on the planet! And at their price point. Whoa Lu Lu ! Hope to see a more proportionate serving vs cost. Also help was cold and didn't know much about flavors. Also made it very clear about tipping! AWKWARD

Not much to say other than the Homemade Ice Cream is crazy amazing and there are new flavors every week and that is great. some unusual flavors and always fun to try all kinds of different flavors

Was so excited for this business to come to Vergennes and visited last night. The staff was friendly and the renovated space is beautiful. They offer a high quality product with creative flavors. I also love that the have a non-dairy sorbet that is really good. We ordered 3 cones, 2 salted caramel and one strawberry sorbet. The servings were very small, even though we paid extra for the 2 scoops ($14.00). While the ice cream flavors were good, the paper wrapped cones had a chemical flavor and we couldn't eat them. Maybe they should consider a different cone and serve bigger scoops.

Outstanding. The quality of the ingredients really shines through. Lemon curd was my favorite, and combining lemon and dairy is a difficult thing to get right!

I went to lu lu for the first time today and was absolutely amazed by it! The woman working was so helpful and let me try flavors and the ice cream was some of the best!

Phenomenal flavors and friendly service! I had Maple Bourbon ice cream, which was absolutely yummy. The pistachio was natural and also excellent!

This is some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The maple was subtle and not overly sweet, the curried peanut was smooth and spicy, and the chocolate sorbet was decadent. The portion size was bigger than expected, I wish I'd split a single scoop.

Went to Lulu with my wife. I was impressed with their effort to provide unique ice cream flavors but not impressed with the ice cream itself. Not favorable enough and too icy. Was quite disappointed. Lulu does not even rank in the top 5 ice cream stores I frequent (I live in Bristol but also have a home in Boston). I prefer the Bristol Creemee stand and store-bought Ben and Jerry's to Lulu. Cannot recommend..although the prices were not bad (3.50/4.50 for 1 vs. 2 scoops). Maybe we visited after a freeze/thaw/refreeze of inventory? Regardless, I was not particularly impressed with the curried peanut or bourbon flavored ice cream. Quite a disappointment for both my wife and I based on the positive reviews I had read. I guess Lulu is worth trying at least once.. I've done the "experiment" and I won't be returning.

Only had the sorbet. It was deeee-licious but a bit pricey. It was more than three dollars for a very small amount. Service was very friendly though. I won't be back with those prices.

Just had the chocolate sorbet and it was devine. Finn was an absolute delight and helped us through our first Vermont ice cream experience. He was so enthusiastic and super knowledgable about all the flavors. Would definitely recommend!
