A group of nine of us came to this restaurant for my parents' wedding anniversary dinner, and we were delighted with our experience. Upon arrival, we were pleased to discover that a private room had been arranged for us, adding a touch of exclusivity to the occasion. I must mention that our experience may have been enhanced due to the anniversary celebration, so individual experiences may vary.
Our server, who spoke French as her first language just like us, was exceptionally attentive and friendly, further elevating our dining experience. Both she and the chef surprised us with extra appetizers and a round of drinks, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture.
For appetizers, we indulged in the house bread, beet salad, whipped feta, and Crispy marble potatoes. Each dish was a delectable delight, making it difficult to pick a favorite. However, the house bread, accompanied by syrup butter with sea salt, was irresistible and we ended up ordering a second round. The Crispy marble potatoes, a chef's gift to us, had a perfect crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy interior. The accompanying aioli sauce was simply divine.
Moving on to the entrees, our table ordered a variety of dishes including Duck, Halibut, Pork Chop, Salmon, Beef Tenderloin, Eggplant, and Cavatelli. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I personally had the Duck, which was cooked to perfection, although I wasn't particularly fond of the sweet sauce it was served with. I also had the opportunity to taste the Halibut, beef tenderloin, and Cavatelli. The Halibut was delightfully flaky, although a touch more seasoning would have elevated the flavors further. The beef tenderloin was juicy and satisfying, while the homemade pasta in the Cavatelli was a testament to the skill of the chef, especially when paired with the delightful pesto sauce.
In terms of drinks, I had the pleasure of trying both the Blackberry Basil Gimlet and the Old Cuban. Personally, I found the Old Cuban to be the standout choice as it was more smooth and refreshing.
Despite being pleasantly full by this point, we couldn't resist sampling one of the desserts. We chose the Espresso Hazelnut Torte, and it surpassed our expectations. The torte was incredibly rich and creamy, making it a must-try if you have room for dessert.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was exceptionally positive! However, it's important to note that each dining experience may differ, and our unique celebration may have contributed to our exceptional experience.
