I love the staff/educators here, especially Laura. She is super knowledgeable about all their products, and goes above and beyond to help customers. I swung by today to see if I could exchange some shorts that I loved, but started wearing unexpectedly. Unfortunately, that pair of shorts I was looking for is being discontinued, but she said that I could come back anytime and would help figure out what newer model shorts would match the closest. I’ll definitely be back at this location.

I stopped by today because I have a pair of lulus that are fraying at the seam and the young lady that helped me was not helpful at all, and was actually very condescending. She was asking me a bunch of questions, including what kind of work outs I did in my pants. I actually DON'T work out in my Lululemons and I take good care of them. I got a bad pair and instead of offering solutions, she was eluding to the possibility that I may have ruined them myself. I left more upset than when I came on. Now I have a defective pair of lulus and a bad experience at the store.

I am exceptionally disappointed in the (lack of) customer service I received. I purchased a pair of pants for more than $130 and brought them home, excited to wear them. They were a bit too long, so I brought them back to the store asking to return them. I guess I must have stepped or sat in dirt when wearing them because the associate (with some sass) immediately dismissed me and said he could only take things that he could sell. He then scribbled down the number for "Guest Education" (which is a very condescending name for customer service, if you ask me) and turned his back to me. I left the store, called the number, and waited on hold for an hour. After finally getting through, I asked what my options were. The agent said I could either take them to the store to get them hemmed or sell them back to the store at a discount (a program that this store participates in). I wish the associate had simply mentioned those options instead of having me call a hotline. I returned to the store again and left the pants to get hemmed, which were scheduled to be done in a week. After a week and a half, I stopped by at open, but the hours had recently been pushed back, with a temporary sign displayed on the door. I left and came back a third time, and the pants were sitting in the locker but had still not been hemmed. Now, I am leaving for the holidays in a week but was told they would still not be done by my departure--I will need to pick them up after New Year's. I expected better service for a pair of pants that I spent $130 on. It'll have been two months and more than five hours wasted on the phone or traveling to/from the store before I'll have been able to wear them for the first time.

Went there to exchange a gift and fell head over heels for this store. First, the store is inviting and well laid out. Not cluttered and disorganized. I found items neatly folded and easily accessible. The store was also clean and well stocked with no “holes”. I hate that. But above all the staff was incredible. Dylan helped me and if you don’t know about the products just speak to him or one of the other friendly associates and it will all make sense. Just saving water on washing your shirts alone goes a long way. They’ll explain when you get there. I truly enjoyed my experience at Lululemon. It’s real customer service based retail and it’s been missing from most other retailers for a while now. Glad to see Lululemon bringing it back! And as Arnold would say, “I’ll be back!”

Typically service is quick and efficient. During the dressing room it took forever for me to get changes in size, and recommendations. Hardly anyone checked in, unless I popped my head out of the door. Even so, after being seen, it took a while for someone to come by. Additionally, it was quite insulting to then listen to two workers continue to help a customer literally try on every item in the store, offering suggestions, and such. And later see them treat another customer with extra attention as well... pausing and offering different styles. I do have darker skin compared to the other customers in the dressing room and can’t help but wonder if that’s why I didn’t get the same level of service. How disappointing...race or not...still poor service since I witnessed that they are capable of offering efficiency and attention.

Super nice and friendly staff. I went in one day and tried on like 8 pairs of leggings and didn't buy anything. Never felt pressured. The next time I came in the girl who helped me out remembered me. She also went out of her way to try and find me a pair of some sale pants in my size from a different store to ship me. Yeah you pay a lot for their clothes but they're worth it!

I went in this morning as the store opened with my crying baby looking for a new set to do Pilates in. The woman who helped me so was so nice and asked me some questions to figure out what I needed. She was super quick and efficient and I was out in under five minutes, which was helpful since my baby was crying! I didn't try anything on in store and relied on her expertise to get me the right sizes - everything fits perfectly and looks so good. Thank you so much for helping me in a stressful situation!

I stopped by the store to return two pairs of sweatpants that I had ordered online. Easy enough I thought. However, the salesperson that was supposed to be helping me was very combative, insisting that the email that I was providing was not coming up in their system and then insisting that I needed to have the shipping receipt with me. When I asked if they could ask someone else for help, they lost their temper and began acting rudely. Fortunately, another customer, who said she was also an employee, simply showed them where to find the bar codes they were looking for and ... simple, done. The rest of the transaction, the salesperson was curt and smirking. For a simple return, I can't believe I had to put up with such disrespectful behavior from what Lululemon calls their "Educators" Loyal customer lost.

I popped into this location bc it's literally 5 minutes from my school. I can spend a lot of money in here lol It's so organized, the staff is super helpful, and they have tons of options and sizes. I live in Lululemon probably like most of you. The Align material is unmatched. There is a huge wall in front of the fitting rooms with instructions of how to care for your Lulu stuff. Omg- I never paid attention. So, I'm going to share it because also a lot of you probably didn't read it like me lol So you wash them separately, don't dry with cotton, and the Align is not meant to use for yoga. Oops. Following these suggestions will help your Lulu last longer! Also, you can get your stuff hemmed and they can ship or send to you. You just have to drop it off in store. The location is amongst other shops and the neighborhood is really cute.

Out of all the Lululemon stores in the bay the Berkeley location has the worst customer service. I took my husband's jacket for zipper repair and they said they don't do zipper repair. Since I've had bad experiences in this store, I took it to Lululemon in Corte Madera, what a difference!! They took the jacket in for repair and even offer me the option to get a new one. I don't understand how the customer service can be so different from one store to another one. The Berkeley store sales person lied to me! Lululemon has zipper repair services! Dont lie to people of you dont know!! I think the whole staff needs training at this location!

Picked up my alteration and my brand new white pants had many stains on it. The manager, Harry came by and was so rude, dismissive and condescending. He finally changed it to a new shorts but now i have to wait again for the alternation to come back. I think if you pay +$100 for a stretchy pants, it should come with a courteous service especially after waiting 3 weeks for the alteration, which by the way, no one notified me that it was ready

I have been a loyal customer of Lululemon for over 8 years but I have to say, their level of customer service has really gone down and is extremely inconsistent. On valentines day I went to the Corte Madera store with my husband and we had wonderful service. I liked one of the items I purchased there so much that I even I went online after and purchased more of the item- the shipping even came quickly... these are good experiences however, I went to the Berkeley store yesterday at about 5:15 pm. I came with two of my best friends and none of us were greeted or asked if we needed help. The reps were just talking among each other but I did hear them greet other customers and ask if they needed any type of help. I don't know if this was a we just don't care about customers thing or if it was a size at thing with us not being the super slim consumers who typically fit the mold of shoppers here, but it definitely felt unwelcoming. When I go to purchase, the girl checking me out is not friendly at all. She doesn't even say hi or did you find everything okay, she legit rings out my purchase and says do you need a bag. Even the way she asked if I needed a bag sounded rude- I thought I may have just heard her wrong but when I left the store my friend even mentioned how rude she was when she asked me about a bag. I said yes please, she doesn't respond then asks me again if I needed a bag to which I say yes to. The only time she was mildly helpful was when I picked up a sale mask and said oh I will buy this too and her answer was umm you know that has to be worn around the back of the head right? I didn't so I thanked her for bringing that to my attention but that was the only service I really got. I spent $400 bucks there and was surprised when she hands me my belongings stuffed and slightly overflowing from their smaller bag. Can someone tell me why you would do that? Are you getting personally charged to give the bags out?! It was utterly ridiculous and just another show of bad customer service. When people spend their hard earned money they aren't looking to have it stuffed (not even folded) into a bag that's too small, that's something you expect at a discount chain and for the amount Lululemon charges, the level of customer service should be 10 times better. I would not recommend coming to this store. It always flummoxes me when you experience representatives who have no customer service, why are you working here then and lululemon why are you allowing it. Do better.

I bought a Mist Over Windbreaker online, within a month after buying it, I only worn once. Then realized both arms started to have lots of pilings along the stitches, I contacted online, that I have been told I could try to return or exchange it in store. After I traveled all the way to the Berkeley store, the salesperson agreed to help me to exchange one with the same style but different color, after chosen the one I was going to swap, the store manager stopped her by saying it can only be repaired. So I had to come back and contact online for the refund. The in-store policy is only depended on the manager's thinking at that moment, which is inconsistent with their online policy.

Went today to buy some items. During my visit, I noticed that the clothes are very dusty. I did not buy anything but felt uncomfortable with the concept of paying premium prices for clothes that are dusty. Recommendation: Replace those items that are on display.

In person service is actually not bad at this location. Young, nice, helpful people. NEVER order anything online from the store tho! Lulu lemon needs to get their shit together as a company to put it nicely. I ordered tights that were in stock online but not in store from a floor associate. The nicely lady had it delivered to my house but TWO MONTHS LATER and it still hasn't got here. I've called, sent emails, used their chat bot and although someone supposably contacted fed ex to get this resolved, it STILL hasn't arrived. $100 down the drain pretty much. Company needs to do better! if it's not in store don't bother buying! Save urself the headache.

This was my second time visiting this store and I have to say that I have been impressed with all the knowledge and great customer service. I came here a few days after they opened their doors during the pandemic. I had to wait in line as they only let a certain amount of people in at the store. Everyone wore masks and everything seemed very sanitized as they wiped down door handles and everything after leaving the fitting rooms. I was told my favorite pants were being discontinued so they were able to educate me on what to get next, which was the Invigorate pants. This location will be on my list to shop at but I heard the items at this location go quickly.

I've come here a few times for the complimentary hemming service and haven't been disappointed yet. Shoutout to my boy Sean (Shaun? Shawn?) for pinning my pants to the perfect length. He's a real one. The only downside is the turnaround time (~5 days). I dropped off a pair of pants on Thursday that were ready on Tuesday. That same Tuesday, I dropped off another pair and had to wait until Sunday. My pants came back perfect both times though, so I'll take that over a botched hem job!

This Lululemon Athletica used to be the one located on College Avenue; I was surprised to learn they relocated to Berkeley's Fourth Street neighborhood in 2017. Lululemon Athletica was in the news when they were robbed in July 2018; they were amongst many Lululemon Athletica stores robbed up and down California. Since then, Lululemon Athletica have security posted outside the doors since the robberies along with video cameras in place. This Lululemon Athletica store's space is much smaller than the College Avenue location. One can see the clothes and accessories in sight upon entering the store. I do believe management has been reading the Yelp! reviews as the educators have been very attentive and interacting with customers. My interactions with the educators have always been pleasant and professional. They are knowledgeable about the products in the store. Though the few times I have been in the store, I still see either a stray used coffee cup or a non-Lululemon Athletica water bottle around the store. I was looking at my 2015 Yelp! review--it has been a while since I stepped foot at this Lululemon Athletica branch for workout and street casual gear. This past October, Lululemon Athletica released a limited edition collection called, "Principal Dancer." It is their collaboration with England's Royal Ballet principal dancer, Francesca Hayward. An acquaintance of mine (both a dancer and a model) was modeling the clothes on their website. I quite like what I saw in this limited edition collection; I acquired a few pieces of the collection from here. Much to my delight, there are still free alterations, though they will not do alterations that will change the overall look. I know of a customer (at another location) who wanted the back of a top closed up a tad as they felt too exposed; unfortunately her request was unable to be fulfilled because the top was made to be open that way. I recently acquired a jacket and had them shorten the sleeves a bit that did not alter the jacket's overall structure. And I can still roll them up a bit if I wish as it is that type of a jacket. This Lululemon Athletica store's space may be smaller, there is still room to move around to look at the clothes and accessories. I know I will be back as I will be in the area when the opportunity arises--believe me there will be plenty! SYOY! Cheers and Ciao!

I love LuLu Lemon so whenever I need a pick-me-up or a reward I will be sure to stop by. Their store is conveniently located right at the corner of a busy intersection tucked amongst a number of smaller eateries and stores. Parking is quite tough especially on the weekends. It is also easily accessible by the AC Transit Bus system. I love the vibrant colors and patterns of their clothing. The quality matches the more pricier cost of the clothing which I'm happy to pay because their clothes look and feel great! And it is also very durable. Note: their sizes run small AND their clothing is rarely on sale except for during their Canadian Boxing Day Holidays.

I stopped by on this particular day to return a jacket I received with gift receipt in hand. The shorter Asian gentleman is the employee who helped me. He said since my return was originally purchased with a credit card I was unable to return but only exchange for another item at the store. I was not even offered a gift card. This was odd to me so I called another Lululemon location and they mentioned to me this was not their policy. I can only assume that the lazy nature of the employees here is what stopped this particular person from fully taking care of me.

I received the most beautiful kindness and impeccable customer service at this location this past Sunday evening! I walked in right before close and was greeted by Allie. She helped me find what I was looking for, and worked out the exchange I needed with a smile on her face! She made me feel valued and appreciated. I walked out of this store feeling even better than I did walking in. Shopping at lululemon stores all over several different states, I've received a wide range of experiences, and this by far was my best experience yet. I will definitely be returning to this store for my shopping needs next time I'm in the area! Thank you Allie, and the rest of the team at this store!

I like Lulu's product - a bit overpriced, but otherwise good quality stuff. However, I had an EXTREMELY unpleasant experience last week. I returned two brand new leggings and forgot about the receipt. Previously, I signed up for the Lulu's membership thing with my email because the store associate said it could help them to locate my purchase even if I don't have the receipt. With that in mind, I asked the store associate to help me with the returns. She insisted on seeing a credit card statement - hmm, okay. Most stores can do returns with the credit card you purchased the items with, but okay, I took her words that 'their store is unable to locate any purchases that way, and that they had a lot of stolen credit card issues so they HAVE TO see the card statement. Okay, I thought, since I am not a credit card thief, I don't mind (although at that point I am already feeling quite upset). When the store associate finished my return, I asked for a copy of the receipt of my return. She refused and told me since I didn't give her the purchase receipt, she couldn't give me the return receipt. Confused and upset, I left the store. Today, I found out that they CHARGED instead of REFUNDED my credit card. At this point, I am very, very frustrated and I suspect that this store associate is doing it INTENTIONALLY to cheat off customer's money. Will call the store first thing in the morning - if the problem is not solved, I will seek legal help for this.

Been wanting a pair of these pants forever but never had the time or energy to go on and try on a pair. I went to try on some at the Pleasanton stone ridge location and was turned off by the snobby service. The hubby bought me a pair for Xmas and unfortunately wasn't the right size or fit. With the limited return policy, I made the effort to go return it right away after Xmas at the SF Westfield location as we were in the area but did not want to bother with trying on pants & dealing with the long lines after Xmas. I received store credit and while in Berkeley we ran across a lululemon store. I hate trying on clothes + it was a cold rainy day, but hubby talked me into it. So in I went, feeling fat and bloated from just having ate lunch, I began trying on some pants. The women that helped me was nice and patient. I ended up trying several dif styles and sizes and finally found a pair I felt comfortable in that fit really well. As you know, purchasing a pair is quite an investment so I wanted to make sure I really liked them. It just needed to be hemmed a bit. She got my measurement and took my info down, I went to the front and rung it up thinking I would have to pay extra for shipping but was pleasantly surprised. They told me it would take about 3 days and they were right! I also loved that they used FedEx and I was receiving email notifications updating me on when I would receive my package, including when it arrived. Great customer service is so hard to come by and I'm happy to say after 3 trips to 3 dif stores, I've finally found my first (and def not last) pair of lululemons!

Parked in the pay lot across the street. Went inside Lululemon. Immediately greeted by a uniformed security guard. Is that supposed to make me feel secure? Found a very nice shirt. $88. Wait, $88? Super friendly and helpful staff. Had to notice that it seemed like just about everyone working there and even shopping there were impossibly thin. Made me wonder right away if anything in this store would actually fit me.

I absolutely ADORE the lululemon skinny groove yoga pants! They typically sell for above $95+ but this particular store doesn't always carry them so I buy them online whenever they go on sale for ~ $70. I get them hemmed here and the staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming whenever I go in to shop around. I had a pair of pants that saw some brutal cotton pilling, and I went in to ask for suggestions on what to do. The girl at the counter told me to avoid washing the pants with other cotton clothing, don't use fabric softener, and that Target sells these pilling extractors which work super well. My friend has also had a few items hemmed too short before, and the store has done a great job of living up to their full refund policy when they make a mistake. Great quality, I'm sure to be back soon for my third pair :)

Don't go to this Berkeley location if you want to return anything with a gift receipt. They will only allow exchanges, no store credit. Different policy then all other stores I've visited and others that I called just to verify. Also online chatted with customer support as well as looked up lulu's published return policy with gift receipt and its different than this store. Mgr said all other stores are doing this incorrectly. Luckily other stores aren't like this but just having to drive to another store is a pain. Just to be clear everyone was courteous but their return policy should be consistent with everyone else. Lulu corporate needs to have a talk and set them straight.

My favorite Lululemon by far. The staff is courteous, funny, and helpful. And the best part? You won't feel judged here! I'm loving the bright and sunny new location at Fourth Street (with way better parking as a perk,) but I'm only giving 4 stars because I feel that the selection went down compared to their old store on College in Elmwood.

After that fat piece of Doughnut, I felt like the Michelin-man with my daughter going to the Lululemon store. A completely different approach for me with my daughter as oppose to going to a Lululemon Store by myself. With my daughter with me, I try the best to my ability to compose myself. But with all these "HOT" women in those tight yoga pants, it's really difficult for me not panting like a dog. This corner Lululemon location is a much smaller location than the San Francisco locations. Also smaller than the Burlingame, Palo Alto, Corte Madera and Santana Row stores. I actually make use of my visit to this Lululemon. Besides not picking up any of the female associates, I purchased two $50.00 gift cards for my two friends, who's birthdays are coming up. The associates were very friendly and assisted my needs. I can also use a lot more... you know what I mean, YOGA QUEEN! =P

Once you get into the store, the staff are great, and offer great service. However, be prepared to stand in line outside of the store before going inside because of COVID. There is street parking, however it is a hassle to find a park depending on the time of day you visit this location. Something noticeably different about this location... security is elevated to a higher level, there is an armed Berkeley policeman stationed at the entrance of the store. It's a little concerning to know that there is an actual need to have police presence.

Namaste I entered on a beautiful rainy day. Oddly, this is not an oxymoron. Perhaps everyone in the store was happy today. Despite the rain I was happy today. I wanted to get outside and run but back to the review... I entered Lululemon with a basic knowledge of the store, its product line and a hankering to return to hatha yoga as well as start Bikram. For good or ill, I had a strong desire to do it whilst looking extremely cute. I felt like I was shopping with friends. I shared my goals, favorite colors and desire for wicking garments. They practiced Nordstrom paradigm of customer service. Came here to buy a gift for someone today. Had a great experience! I got the help I needed without the pressure to buy (or the weird looks like "um are you really supposed to be in this store cuz you don't look like you do yoga"). LOVED that they put your purchases in these fabulous "recycled" bags that you can use again. The gift card went into a little "recycled" wallet with zipper. And, yes, I do yoga. Picked me up a new mat. EXCITED! Great customer service at this location. Woohoo!

Lululemon is a FAVORITE of mine and I have to say that this location has the best customer service. Every time that I go in everyone is inviting and helpful. They have a great selection and are all knowledgeable of what's new and in stores. They really try to make you feel at home by calling you by your name and it does make me feel good and different than my average shopping experience. The manager Jill is amazing! They really have a great team spirit when you go in. I always look forward to stopping by to grab something new and fun to workout in.

I went in right before closing since I accidentally went to their old location and the guy working there was super nice. Lol, he didnt care that I was a late customer ( at least he didn't show it) and told me to take my time. Smaller than the Walnut Creek location but it's new, super clean and well organized. Great customer service.

Don't go to this store if you want to return anything, even if you have a receipt! They would not accept packaged, *unopened* underwear that was purchased for full price and i had the receipt! I contacted online lulu and was told that unopened underwear is returnable!! But each store can make up their own return policy as they are encouraged to be "entrepreneurial". I consider an inconsistent return policy to be bad customer service! Never going to this location again. Walnut Creek is very nice about returns.

What else can I say about lululemon athletica, the world's most comfy yoga and/or sports attire? REALLY! I like how the Berkeley locale has a DJ that plays music and the staff are helpful and friendly. I especially like the workout clothes with the "metallic" fibre like texture that is supposed to be anti-smell and i actually tried it to see if it works. I worked out and really sweat so much with the shirt on, and left it in the hamper for a week, even though it was soaking wet from my sweat. Because the material was quick drying and had that special metallic property, after a week, I took it out and smelled it and it really only smelled like cloth. I was so surprised thinking it would smell gross! I bought more after that! Clothes are so soft and comfy and stylish. It is very pricey, but to me, I'm worth it. I love how they give FREE alterations/hemming for the life of the pants you buy! They even have run days and yoga practice days. I've been lucky and NEVER, EVER have problems finding carparking, even though it is on College Ave. in Berkeley. I've been buying this stuff for years, and will continue! One downside, however, is often they are OUT OF STOCK as things move quickly! You can go online, though.... I think selection here has been better than in the SF store on Grant Street.

Located on the corner of Ashby/College, this store is easily accessible by the 51B, or you can try and find street parking (I recommend going through the residential areas to find parking, or there is a small lot where you can enter from college onto Russell). It's a lot smaller than other Lululemon's in the bay area. Customer service could use some work here -- I've walked in without a greeting (I don't need one, but sometimes I'm in a rush and want some help asap). I've had issues returning brand new things with receipts (there should not be an issue there).. and sometimes they are super pushy about returning things. They will always try and convince you to do an exchange instead. The inventory here is also really small -- it seems like there are so many more women things than men things! Sales items are also all L+ or strange items. I absolutely love Lululemon but I don't think this store is a good representation of the brand and it's products.

Warning: if you're a woman of color, expect crappy service. I did not appreciate being snubbed by the sales person today. I was clearly there, waiting patiently to pick up my altered pants. When she finally finished with the two women she was chatting with, she immediately turned her back and helped two other women who arrived AFTER me. I was visibly annoyed by the whole thing. Note: Greeting me with meaningless compliments does not make up for the FACT that you snubbed me in the first place. Get it right, folks! Normally, I'd let it go. However, this encounter was related to another rude incident before. During my visit last week (to drop off the pants), I explained that they were older, but that someone at another store explained that I could still have the complimentary hemming. Hence, why I came in (Berkeley is closer to me than Gilroy). When I brought my marked pants to the front, the cashier felt she needed to announce how old the pants were (even after I pointed this out). Was this necessary?! It makes me sad because this used to be my favorite Lulu store. Sorry kids, I won't be coming back:/

Came in very excited in hopes to leave with small, light-grey running shorts. I wasn't greeted at all. They don't even carry most men's shorts in small here. Took my business to the Nike Clearance Store and bought something equivalent for only $6. This review isn't to make their employees greet EVERY single time someone walks in- I just want to let them know that a customer is a customer- regardless of age and color.

Came here on a Monday, and the store wasn't too busy. Was greeted by two workers at the store. I explored the store. It was a little small. I wasn't asked if I needed any help by any of the store associates, which I expected being a first time shopper in the store. The women who greeting each other were chatting amongst themselves, which I don't think is good customer service. I kept walking around and eventually found things I was looking for. The woman at the fitting room was very helpful and helped size me and grab other sizes for the clothing I picked out. The fitting room was very large and had many mirrors (also toys in a box)? I tried on some of the yoga pants and they were non-see through. They were nice but for $81 I want too sold on them. The fitting around the crotch/butt area wasn't right for me but at least you can get them tailored. I ended up buying sweat pants instead which were very pricey but I really liked them. I definitely would not have stopped by this store/purchased anything if I didn't have a gift card. Maybe if i wasn't on a student budget I would stop by here!

As often as I made walking to Lulu on my lunch break a daily routine, I am surprised that I have not reviewed this location! I love the girls here...they are always conscious of my limited time and they always know exactly what I'm looking for! Although the inventory here is limited in comparison to other stores, they still get the new releases and they ALWAYS have a good selection of markdowns! By far, this is the BEST store because of their stellar customer service.

Updating my previous negative review. The staff is different, and they are great! When Christmas shopping, they opened the doors back up after they were already closed and helped me find the right gift. Brought my puppy in today, and they were very sweet and accommodating. Great shopping experience and great staff.
