Shiller Lavy Rent Hikes Shut Down Mile End Patisserie | Eater Montreal

"Described in the piece as a "fancy yoga mom destination," Lululemon is cited as one of the major international retailers now occupying buildings on St-Viateur that were purchased by Shiller Lavy." - Tim Forster

Former Chez Boris in Mile End to Become Vegan Chain Copper Branch | Eater Montreal

"On St-Viateur Street I note a Lululemon location (the Vancouver activewear chain) that opened recently; I view it as the most obvious example of chains moving into Mile End and contributing to rising rents and gentrification." - Tim Forster

Landlords With Gentrifier History Are Behind Le Cagibi’s Rent Hike | Eater Montreal

"Housed at 268 St‑Viateur, a Lululemon store opened on the strip; Kornbluth and Brandon Shiller owned that building before Shiller Lavy took over, making it one of several high-profile arrivals linked to these ownership groups." - Tim Forster

I typically don’t leave reviews for clothing stores, as I usually focus on food-related establishments. However, it’s interesting to note the negative reviews about customer service, because we had the opposite experience. All three workers we encountered were exceptionally helpful and patient, even though our stroller left the floor muddy due to the dirt from the rain. They were very understanding about it. We visited from the US, but if we lived closer, we would definitely come here more often.

Small shop with limited stock but they do usually have the basics in multiple colours/sizes. I love the service here; the employees are nice and helpful but not overbearing. Also, lighting isn't glaringly bright, the music isn't overwhelmingly loud, the floor isn't crowded. This is a safe choice for people with stimuli sensitivities or social anxiety.

Mike was one of the friendliest positive vibe people I've asked for help in a store.

Very bad/sad customer experience. I went with my Aligns that I received as a gift in May 2023. They are coming apart at the seams. I've had pants from Lulu last for several years (not Aligns). They said they longer do repairs in store and that there is nothing they can do. Literally NOTHING. I asked a couple of times if they were sure there was really nothing they could do and they stood by that answer. I was really disappointed in the level of customer service for the price paid. I never went to Lulu for customer service before and was expecting a lot more. They didn't even offer a small discount on a future purchase. Nothing to make you leave the store happy. I don't abuse my clothing so if you want $120 pants that last you a little over a year buy the Lulu Aligns.

Like the other reviews stated TERRIBLE! Sophie the store manager is absolutely horrible, she is rude and clearly profiles client when they come in. I have reported her to the customer service and hope they will handle this ASAP

Was served by an incredible person named Ioanna. She really helped me chose quality items that matched well and was exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to go back and get more! Thank you for the most exceptional service.

As an active person who wears these clothes both in and out of the gym, I love coming in, browsing, and always leaving satisfied with my purchase. This brand has been my go-to for as long as I can remember, and it never disappoints. The quality is superb, the styles are understated yet stylish, and the clothes easily withstand my frequent sweaty workouts and washes. The staff is impressive—helpful, friendly, yet never overbearing. Loyal customer.

Google
Really rude staff. I asked a question about the sweat collective because I had been a member since 2009 as a Pilates instructor and I had asked details about the program and the girl working at the changing cabins was extremely condescending. The cashier was not any more helpful and was rude when they couldn’t find my email in the system, which is extremely odd because I made a purchase at Lululemon in Paris recently and never had any issues. Ca ne donne pas envie de continuer à acheter cette marque. Will not going back to this store. A éviter.

Yelp
So glad to have a location in the neighbourhood, so I don't have to trek downtown or to Westmount. Most important thing to say is that it's a dog friendly location! I usually bring my small dog with me every time I visit and the girls at the store love saying hi! The employees are always very friendly and helpful, no high pressure sales techniques. Just good vibes! Though they have less stock than the other locations in Montreal, I still love this location as it feels more chill.

Yelp
I don't shop at Lululemon, in fact I've never stepped foot into a store, but when I heard they were opening one near my house I was super curious. The guy who greeted me at the door let me know that they are focusing on running clothes and accessories mainly, but they also have lots of yoga mats and other various workout things. They also had some free bagels to welcome us to the store. You can tell they are trying to be friendly and welcoming because not everyone liked the idea of a Lululemon store in the Mile End. The store is really nice. Well lit, clean, enough room to try stuff on and browse. They have lockers available for rental in case you want to go for a run and don't know where to put your stuff. They also have special sneakers and caps created by other partners that they are selling in store. Lululemon also has tons of activities that they post on their Facebook page (yoga lessons/organized runs). They are all free and welcome to all. I did't browse for very long because I didn't need to buy anything but I like knowing that there's a sport shop so close in case I do ever need to buy something and don't feel like schlepping all the way downtown to get leggings or a sports bra. I know they have insane prices though so this would be a splurge if I decide to buy anything.

Yelp
Location: Mile End, a.k.a hipster central. I always walk when I'm in the area so I'm not sure if Mont-Royal is the closest subway (about 10-minute walk from there), but you can take the 55 up St. Laurent. Street parking is available but limited, and you need to pay. The place: This shop is smaller than the former St. Denis location, and pretty bare bones. I don't really see the point of it because they stock next to nothing and you will end up having to go downtown to their Ste. Catherine store if you want any semblance of selection. I'm still trying to figure out why they closed the St. Denis store - the location was great, there was more foot traffic and the selection was good. They also don't have proper fitting rooms which is annoying since curtains rarely close all the way and I don't fancy giving strangers a sneak peak of my arse when I'm trying clothes on. The goods: See above. Not enough selection so for me, a waste of time. You're better off at the downtown store or Westmount location. Price point: Expensive - as with all Lululemon clothing. That said, the quality of Lululemon's clothing has declined in the last couple of years but the prices haven't. Service: OK.

Yelp
This was my first time at this location. I had terrible service with one employee that made me feel horribly about myself. But then I got amazing service with the employee at the till. The store is smaller than most locations. I don't recommend this place.

Yelp
I love Lululemon, but I don't really get the point of this store location. I came in looking for technical running shirts. Very limited selection of clothes. The sales staff just told me to purchase online. (uh, then why have the store?) Having said that, I do like the Saint Catherine store a lot more.
