"If you’re a craft beer enthusiast, then chances are you’ve engaged in multiple lively debates about Hazy IPAs. Chances are you either love them, or think they’re the worst thing ever and want to tell them to go back to New England where they belong. For the Hazy IPA does not inspire indifference. If you’re on the love side of the equation, then you’ll want to check out the newest rendition from Surly, which you can find at LuLu’s Public House." - Terry Horstman

2024: Lulu's Public House's Deep-Fried Ranch Dressing was a surprising delight! The creamy ranch filling was perfectly seasoned and the panko crust added a satisfying crunch. Dipping it in the hot honey sauce took it to another level. While it might sound strange, it was definitely worth trying for something unique and delicious! 2023: Lulu's Public House scored big with their Cheesecake Curds at this year's Minnesota State Fair. Forget ordinary cheese curds – these were nuggets of cheesecake batter, deep-fried to a golden crisp, and coated in powdered sugar. The result? A warm, gooey cheesecake center surrounded by a satisfying crunch. The real highlight was the strawberry sauce for dipping. It added a burst of fresh flavor that perfectly balanced the richness of the cheesecake. Lines were long for this unique treat, but for good reason.

Fun spot at the Minnesota State Fair. The line is super long but worth it. Fun place where water steams fron the balcony.

A great food spot at the Minnesota state fair with a good beer selection too. The fried Mac and cheese was good and the southern chicken sandwich was one of the best fair foods a tried this year. Also lost of shopping nearby which is nice.

Had a Schells sour beer with raspberry and the fried cheese curds. Highly recommend both. Lulus is a staple for me at the fair. Always a great atmosphere and food/drinks!

The tot dog was a highlight of my 2022 Minnesota State Fair experience. It was my family’s first time at the fair and we all loved the savory treat. The lines seemed longer going up to the main window of the building, and slightly shorter on the sides. Wait times are average for state fair food vendors. Open air seating on the upper level provides a nice view of the amphitheater and market. Several picnic tables and benches are available around as well. Has breakfast options, and frozen adult beverages.

Last year my favorite thing at the fair was the tot dog, this year it was really bad. The batter was super thin, didn't even cover the entire hotdog so half was exposed, and all the batter fell off after taking one bite since it was so poorly done. There was also no cheese sauce because they were out, but staff wasn't telling people when they ordered it and only after we got it and asked. The southern chicken biscuit sandwich was also super dry and bland, maybe they were also out of the cheese spread for that and weren't telling people? I'll update my review next year when we give it another shot, we're hoping it was just a fluke night there!

Very fun stop at the MN State Fair. The beer selection is excellent, and the food is good. I love the sausage juicy LuLu and my son loves the mac n cheese balls. The bang bang chicken is also good. Plus, there is music right next door and they have a patio above the restaurant!

Great spot at the Fair, but beware they sneak in a higher than typical credit card fee at the register, and if you arent paying attention to the tiny screen at the point of sale, you wont notice.
