⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Lumberyard – A Must-Visit Spot in Pullman! We stopped by The Lumberyard while in town for my son's recruiting visit at Washington State, and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere was welcoming, the food came out fast, and everything was delicious — exactly what we needed after a long day of meetings and campus tours. The service was top-notch, and you can tell this is a spot locals love. We’ll definitely be back on game days — this place is going to be part of our Pullman tradition! Go Cougs! 💪🐾

This is a great place to eat and watch sports. There are four different food options inside the building. I forgot to take pictures of the menus but there are other versions online. There's probably a dozen TVs in this place to watch several games at the same time as well as an outdoor patio area. I had brisket sliders and deep fried pickles. They probably give you an ounce and a half of meat per slider, and they were a little dry. Pickles were really good. Fries were really good. They lost track of my order and it wasn't until I went up and asked about it twice in a 20 minute period, did it come out. They offered to buy me a drink for the delay.

Trey at Timber inside of Lumberyard was awesome. Very helpful, answered all questions, and is an excellent cook. The buffalo cauliflower bites and chicken bacon ranch salad were both killer dishes. Thanks Trey!

The food was really good, Trey did a really good job. We got to sit outside in the sun and they allowed us to have our dog outside, but probably because it was a relaxed day during the week and no one was around. Trey even brought our dog some water.

Five stars for atmosphere, three stars for food. The place is pretty foodie, but maybe tries too hard. I had the mushroom burger which came with bacon onion jam, which was not savory, but sweet. It wasn't terrible, but not what I expected, maybe a little off-beat. The place has food truck size vendors in a communal eating Hall. Half of their vendors are not open yet, which is a shame. The food is reasonably priced. Mostly, it will come down to the quality of the vendors. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed visiting since it is now reopened. I do miss the original benches but I understand the need for more floor space with the night club. Food from Timber was good, didn't get to try out the other places. Worth a visit to see if you like the new and improved food options.

This time we tried the salads and they are amazing and built to order. We also added an order of the sweet potatoes fries...OMG...light and air and NOT greasy!!! So good!! We were there Saturday night about 7pm and it wasnt overly crowded or noisy. Nice dinner night!

It's maybe the most accessible restaurant in Pullman which is great. There is at least one table designated as accessible, the dining area floors are even with no steps. The areas with original timber flooring are not perfectly smooth, but they're safe. The dining area has a spacious feel, and aside from the area around the bar, there are few permanent barriers. Because you order from numerous kiosks placed around the dining area, there's no squeeze to get in front of the restaurant from which you're ordering, or lines. Kiosks are placed at about counter level, and easy to use. We ate at noon on a Thursday and it was not terribly busy. The wait for food was 20 minutes and our orders came at separate times. Drinks are self serve, which we didn't realize. The drink fountain is located on the other side of the bar, in a relatively small space. It's elevated at a typical level, and may not be accessible to those in traditional wheelchairs. Cups are reusable, with straight straws & no lid. The accessible table is located near an ordering kiosk which creates some concern regarding space. That said, long tables with bench seating means DIY accessible seating is as simple as parking where you want to be. I did not notice whether or not there's an elevator to the Top Shelf loft space seating area. The food was alright. The portions were generous, and 27.00 bought lunch, drinks, & leftovers for 2. The variety of foods available, entertainment, child play area, and accessibility make it a really fantastic option for just about anyone.

Cool environment for visiting families with kids since there's a little playground, and an arcade type of spot, but 2 of the food stands we had were super mediocre and horrible. I posted separate reviews for them since they have their own. Drinks at the bar were cheap and strong so that was a plus.

I just can't comprehend why it's so bad here every time. Why does food take so long when there's nobody ordering? No idea. Why do they constantly mess up orders when there isn't enough people to confuse orders about? No idea. Literally everytime I go I just never had a good experience food wise. I am pretty positive the workers are high or hung over or something along those lines. Decided to get sushi, took about 30 minutes for two roles when only one person besides me ordered. How? I could not tell you: genuinely doesn't make sense to me. I want to return but I don't see the point of supporting such messy businesses that clearly don't care enough.

super fun vibe. love the set up, nice staff and service. food tasted great and was efficiently made considering the small service. really loved interacting with the people behind the counter

Timber's burgers came out of the freezer and then overcooked. And it took a long time.

Cue Gordan Ramsay: IT'S RAW Would give 0 stars if I could. Slow, inefficient service, and they literally served me raw chicken. If you enjoy salmonella, though, this'll be a tasty treat.

Not your typical food hall. Shuffleboard tables and video games. We ordered grain bowls and loved them! The price is reasonable for what you get. Kinda fun place to go. They need to add more than one tablet to order from as the line can get long with only one tablet to order from. Good food options to choose from. There is a full bar to order drinks. Will definitely go back when in town.

What a great idea. Went to a place like this in Anaheim, CA so glad we have one here! A great place to enjoy a good meal with food and family. La Isla is one of my favorite restaurants in Ballard and Redmond and they did not disappoint! Food was great and staff was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Amazing dining experience here in Pullman, WA. We enjoy the easy, quick, and hassle free self order kiosks. Loving all of the food options! Burgers, pizza, grain/salad bowls, chicken, Puerto Rican food, smoothies, coffee, icecream, and a bar upstairs with plenty of seating and outdoor views. The huge game room for all ages and play area for kids is a plus! More gluten free and vegan options will be greatly appreciated. We will return here again and again.

I tried the Lumberyard shortly after it opened and wasn't impressed but they were still new and had some promise of what was to come. I came back to try them again 10 months later and they have somehow gotten worse. When I first got in around noon there was no one around so I believed it to be closed, until one of the hosts came out to offer me a menu. The hosts were very nice and very helpful. Their menu has considerably shrunk since the last time I was here so I was surprised. I ended up ordering a build your own bowl with spinach, smoked salmon, goat cheese, avocado, onions, bell peppers, cucumbers, fresh lemon, and balsamic vinaigrette. They were pretty quick getting it out to me, but the cuts of the onion and bell pepper were surprisingly big and chunky. Anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows that for salad products you make it so you can get a little of every ingredient on the fork. Not here. Here I have whole pieces of onion that make for poor flavor, and whole chunks of bell pepper making it awkward to eat. They are still on the expensive end of restaurants, and in my opinion, too expensive for the quality of product received. They have a lot of good ideas here, but just can't execute most of them it seems.

Great idea....poorly executed. It took forever to get the food, none of which was anything to rave about and half the kiosks were closed. My friend's son had a small pizza that looked like something out of a frozen food box, complete with under cooked cheese. Our food came out at different times so some of us sat there starving while the others ate, which I was glad they did so because their meals would have gotten ice cold if they waited for everyone. I also didn't like that if you have a problem with your order there didn't seem to be anyone to speak directly. I wasn't impressed and now that I have seen photos of raw chicken I won't be back.

This place is so horrendously upsetting. The salads, burgers, and pizzas are good, but the chicken is often undercooked, and La Isla is genuinely uninterested in providing the food that you order from them. Furthermore, it's entirely possible that you'll wait 45 minutes for your food, ask staff about where the food is, and get told that they didn't even have that as an order, and that they'd get started making the food as soon as they could. I've been here 6 times, and god knows why I keep coming back. Actually, I only keep coming back because this is the only place in town where I can make my own salad. I'm sitting in Lumberyard right now, half an hour after I ordered, and still waiting for my coffee. Don't come here. Also, the shuffleboard isn't level and doesn't work. Lumberyard, please retrain your staff, come up with a plan to hold vendors accountable for making sure people get their food within a reasonable window, and stop acting like service is a privilege, and not a requirement.

Food was NOT good at Tin Tan Tacos - chicken tasted like it had been boiled. Bowl restaurant was not open and there was no signage with any info. So only 3 places to choose from. Floor was SO dirty - lots of food on it and it was only noon. Bathrooms also dirty - seems "cleanish" at first glance but a closer look - yuk. I know it's a college town and likely lots of drinking, etc. esp on the weekends but no excuse for it not being cleaner. And the music was really loud to the point that it was hard to have a conversation while you ate (I totally get loud music at night during the bar scene but not at lunch with families trying to visit.)

Well 5th times a charm I can't bite my tongue no more! First off gloves! Does anyone wear gloves anymore, I have not had a burger to the simple fact that there's so much cross contamination that I don't want to get sick! An I've mentioned it several times to the person in charge an it's the same excuse every time! This one really gets me. I go in last night a little after 9 An was told they are on holiday hours. They are open till 9 till next week. I show up tonight at 8:40 An was told that the Jenny's chicken was closed, but I could eat anywhere else! I said ok thanks an Walked out! Apparently people don't want to make money an Sell food anymore! Don't think I'll attempt that again! It may be a while. Great place. Came prior to the public opening and came again to the public opening. Great service! Go to the upstairs bar. You'll find Zahlen, Meagan, and Allison who will give you great drinks with awesome attitude. This could easily become the go to place in Pullman.

I have tried this place three times now. I like the concept, and each time I have been, it is busy. The space is open, warm and it is obvious a lot of detail went into the Lumberyard. Items are brought out to you. Staff check on you to see if you need anything. So far, I have tried different burgers at Grand Ave, and they have been very tasty. For this most recent visit, I ordered the plain burger and added cheese. It was perfectly cooked (no pink), and had lettuce, tomato and sweet pickles. There are plenty of condiment options, including A-1, which made me happy. I added onion rings instead of waffle fries this time, and I was quite impressed with the large onion rings! Here are things to consider: * Take your time ordering at the kiosk for items you add or items you don't want. Make sure you read and check your order before paying. * If you're with a large group, note you may have to split up to different kiosks to get orders in so items come out around the same time. You may have to wait in line at the kiosk to order. * If you are with a large group, and you order from different vendors, your food may come out at different times. Burgers tend to take a bit of time. * If you're in a hurry at lunch or dinner, plan ahead and hit it before busy times. There is a great website available with food offerings and prices so you can research before arriving. * This is a place that is good for families. If you don't want to be around kids, find a table away from the play area. Food prices are comparable to other places in the area; $11-$12 for a burger. Add-ons range from .75 - $2.00. Drinks are $2.50. Pizza, grain bowls, Puerto Rican specialities and fried chicken dishes are also available, so the variety is definitely great.

Came for the ice cream and fried chicken but sadly wasn't open yet. Had the steak sandwich and chips instead. Cooked exactly as requested, pretty good! Would be better with fries. Will be back to try the other food options. Staff was helpful and attentive, probably too attentive, stepped away to refill my drink and they were already trying to clear away my lunch!

First time here and first weekend open. Overall first impression is great. Decor is pleasing, employees are kind and the food was excellent! I love the upstairs bar area and game room as well as good service. If I had to put any negative it would be parking which is hard to combat due to local but also the first two picks for me as far as food goes were sold out already. It was only noon on a Saturday. I'd say they need a little more planning on how to stock goods but like I said what I did have was excellent.

I like the variety, but it a bit expensive. My kids love to go here because of the indoor play area. I'm willing to pay a little extra for the quality of food and how much my kids like to play here. We eat here about twice a month.

Fun little spot with a variety of eateries to choose from. The mushroom burger with bacon jam was delicious and the coleslaw was to die for!

This place looks amazing and is such a terrific idea! However, the food is awful. There were plenty of choices, and it all looked interesting, but I'm positive they're not serving fresh food. It was either bland and tasteless or entirely too salty. It looked and tasted old. Hot sandwich were cold on the inside--a sure sign of reheating. We came in a party of 8 on a Friday night and 6/8 really disliked their food.

I dunno, I have mixed feelings about this place, what I want it to be vs what it is now. It didn't seem well organized, they just expect the customer to know where to go and what to do, definitely missing signage. Food was not very good. Chicken was bland, in cheap grease, and did I say bland (except for the grease flavor). I did get cornbread and butter. The bread was cold, but not as frozen as the butter. What am I supposed to do with cold bread and frozen butter, you know thats not going to melt, Sharon! Lots of staff Yay!! But they seem to stand around boo!!

I like the concept of the Foodhall. They have a game section, pool tables upstairs, and the food hall is pretty spacious. I think this would be a great place to go once the weather gets warmer. Food is okay and reasonably priced, but those sweet potato fries are amazing! I'd come back to try a little bit of everything with a group of friends.

My daughter goes to WSU and after moving her in this past weekend, we visited the Lumberyard. I am in the shopping center business and I am always interested in trying new concepts. I also have the utmost admiration for entrepreneurs. I gave the Foodhall 5 stars not because it is perfect, but because our food was excellent and I admire the uniqueness of this business. It is important to understand the way it works before you go. There are numerous choices from various "restaurants" that are visible to the seating area. There is make your own pizza, a build your own grain bowl/salad, a burger section, a full bar, and more. Unlike a traditional food court where you order and pay for your food at each individual "restaurant", at the Lumberyard, you order from one of 4 kiosks using its touch screen technology. If you have ever utilized the kiosk at Panera Bread, it is a very similar ordering system. The food is brought to your table which is nice because you don't have to stand in line and wait for it to be prepared. We ordered grain bowls that were extremely tasty with bountiful portions. Atmosphere is great. Big wide open space with high ceilings. Need to be careful about getting behind someone who is using the kiosk for the first time. Because the kiosks are spread out throughout the restaurant you cold get screwed if you get behind people who do not know how to order. That could really disrupt the experience. They really should put the kiosks together and create one line that then goes to the first available kiosk. I wish them much success as I really want to see this concept succeed. It was truly gutsy for the owners to start this business and it deserves to succeed.

Food sucks and takes forever. I try to be optimistic but there are a lot better places in Pullman to go to. Also the whole food truck atmosphere is cool but only some places are open at certain times so you get excited but it's not open

Initial saw that they launched last week so decided to check it out. Initially the place is so inviting the decor is on point, and we were able to catch the SEC championship game with no one blocking our view. There are some kinks to this place, I really enjoyed the food it's very delicious and makes you want to order more however, it TOOK SO LONG to get to us; at least 45min-1hr. Idk if it was because it was a rush hour but I almost got full on my soda. The ordering system could be improved on because it was not easy to navigate through the menu. The price for what you get is on the more expensive side but I would like to think with time their prices will eventually balance out.

This is a lovely addition to Pullman. Family friendly in many ways with food options, play area and...there is even a family bathroom with a short toilet for kids! What a cute extra touch! Food is excellent and gives some more options to Pullman's choices - thank you for having the salad and grain bowls! We needed that! I still need to try all of the other choices but so far I am impressed and super Pullman proud of the family and everybody that made this happen.

Poor service and small portions for too much money. $11 is the cheapest burger option and it gets you next to nothing. A small burger with 12 chips is what I got. The bartender was incompetent and took several minutes to pour me one beer when I was the only one in line. Love the atmosphere and the cool new approach to a mini food court...but honestly the food is lacking. We've tried the chicken place, the burgers, and the Puerto Rican place, and only the burger has been good. Will keep trying in hope that it only gets better, but so far, the food has been a bit disappointing.

New favorite spot in Pullman. Wide variety of food to choose from. Every spot was very good. The pizza though... absolute best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had.

The only thing that bothers me when I visit are the screaming kids in the play area. Otherwise, the place is a great place to chill. Can't wait for warmer weather.

We were their last weekend for the "soft" opening. First for the Thanksgiving dinner prepared by the Pullman famous, Dough Rae Me, that was truly delectable! We went back and enjoyed a good sized, real beef cheeseburger and homemade chips. The staff in the upstairs bar, Megan and Allison were super friendly and funny. Finally, we tried out the shuffleboard table, 10 person video game (great way to meet townies) and the giant Jenga set. Creative decor, great music, and the football game was playing-- couldn't have been better! We'll see you soon!

Decided to check it out last night after hearing really good reviews. The atmosphere was great, as was the fun games and positive attitudes from the employees. I ordered the steak with chimicurri from the burger style booth. I selected "medium rare" for the meat temperature, and it came out 40 minutes later at rare-blue rare, the flavor was there though. The drinks at the Top Shelf/bar portion of the establishment were great and the bartenders were helpful in deciding which cocktail to select. Overall, a pretty good experience despite the wait for a undercooked steak. Will be back after more food options become available.

I gave the establishment three tries to get it right and, sadly, the third time was the worst. I ordered a steak sandwich and my son ordered a burger and the steak sandwich was delivered 15 minutes ahead of the burger. It was ridiculous. My overall review is the serving labor are extra cost that, without, would lower overhead costs. They have to get the vendors to up their game, too, especially in terms of output/volume... or the model is (imo) a bust. Humbleburger here I come...

I liked the pernil sandwich but I still don't understand why I paid $10 for a very flat sandwich with 3 tostones?

They have a great casual atmosphere and ability to handle a lot of people. You have 3-4 restaurants to choose from but order at one place. Burgers, entrees, make your own bowls, kids menu. Great drunk selection and craft brews, cider, and wines all on tap. Homemade biscuits, soup and salad dressing topped off the meal. Excellent, fresh and tasty food. Great beverage selection. Live music Friday nights. Will definitely have to come back. Separate full bar upstairs. Shuffleboard, and large screen TV's. Friendly and fast service too. Wish I had one of these in my town!!!

The atmosphere was wonderful. It's a great place for families and friends to meet. The food is good. I just wish you did not have to sit on benches or medal stools. They're not good for the arthritic bodies! There is an upstairs that has comfy chairs however no elevator. That part is a bummer

Well I had been there twice when they just opened I was excited for the Spanish Caribbean food but was little bit simple portions was okay I'll try again soon I hope the taste is better

Unique concept I was very excited to try it out. Very confusing to navigate. No one there to explain how to order. You have to order food from an order station and go to a restaurant station to order a beverage. Some of the restaurants were not on the menu like the ice cream or coffee. Two to Three different transactions for one meal, odd. Food was just ok. With some refinement could be a hit.

I've been here now three times and each experience actually got worse. The first time I went was their second open weekend. Good was good but only had two options to order from. Had La Isla and it was made properly but too much money for mostly rice and beans and three tostones. Made a comment to manager about no one wearing gloves and they cross contaminated. Second time only half employees had gloves and the two that didn't made an excuse for not having them. Chicken was dry like it was leftover. Third time again ordered the same pollo from la isla. Got two tostones that were mashed, no salt in the food (which it should be). One employee who had been the one who didn't wore gloves before had them but then cleaned a floor and then touched food after with same gloves on! Were promised a gift certificate which never came. Not going back.

Went back to give it another shot. Food was good but still it still came out whenever it wanted. My wife and I got ours at about the same time, one friend's came out 10 minutes later, the next came 20 minutes later. 3 of us ordered from the same food place, the 4th from the burger joint. Sitting and letting your food get cold while you wait for the last person to get their food just kinda sucks. We all used the same table number. There is 0 table service so I'm not sure what the tip option is for when you pay for your food...the sever seemed a bit taken aback when I asked for ketchup.

Food is always fantastic and the staff is usually extremely helpful and friendly. I love the atmosphere and uniqueness of the Lumberyard.

Decent food. Food is overpriced, especially sides. $1.50 for mozzarella sticks with literally cold pizza sauce as the marinara. Like literally the pizza sauce. Asked for no tomatoes in burger, got tomatoes. Decent place overall, would come again

My boyfriend and I ended up going here and ordering two small personal pizzas. It took a little over an hour and 30 minutes to get them. It was also kinda crappy that you had to order and PAY first without knowing how the service was going to turn out. Once our food came out we just took it to go. I give it a one star because at least the pizza was decent, but not worth the wait.

The food was great. I had the Cubans from the La Isla container. It was very good. The atmosphere of the place was also great. It had a great vibe. There are definitely some startup issues. We had to purchase drinks separate from the food. Our food all came to us at different times, and some of the servers were not sure what they had in hand when the delivered the food. There were some glitches in the technical side, we could not order a pizza, for example. Overall this is a nice place. I will be back here again and will review it again.

I like the concept but the food varies a great deal in preparation and taste depending on the cook. Its also not great for groups as different items will be served at wildly fifferent times even from the same stall. Also rarely get the actual sides you order. They seem to just give you whetever is standard no matter what you paid for.

This experience was terrible. The hush puppies were burnt solid hockey pucks. The chicken strips would have been cheaper to purchase from a freezer section at a grocery store and probably would taste better. In short, it was a waste of money; I will never return

I love this place! The burgers are really good and my favorite thing is the pizza with cauliflower pizza. I was upset they didn't have fries but OH MY GOSH the chips are SO good. Definitely a good place to to!
