I participated in Lumiere’s individual research program, and the whole experience was extremely smooth and positive. From the early coordination with the program staff before meetings began to all the communication with my mentor after the program started, everything felt very well organized. My mentor responded to emails promptly and guided me through every stage, whether it was weekly progress submissions or final revisions. I learned a lot from him, especially about research writing skills I had been unsure about. Lumiere also provides writing coaches, and students can feel free to reach out to them anytime. Overall, both the mentors and the program staff were very responsible and supportive. It was a significant and valuable experience for me.

My experience with the Lumiere Research Scholar Program has been truly transformative. The fantastic training I received at Lumiere directly contributed to my own study life. As we could choose our own research topic and question, we can deeply dicover what we are really curious at and that could build foundation for our future study. The experience at Lumiere gave me the toolkit and guidance necessary to navigate the entire research process, from initial concept to final manuscript. Also, as we have private 1v1 mentor, all the meetings and HWs are designed for ourselves. I believe this is very helpful!
