Very nice place, good communication during leasing, I moved my daughter in for 2 years for school. I highly recommend

Lived here for 2.5 years and recently moved out because I've left the city, definitely the best experience I had living in the great Boston area. The staffs are friendly and very responsible, they always send out emails and updates to notify residents if any facilities are under maintenance or they need to enter my room to inspect fire alarm and such. Hallways, gym, elevators and parking garage are cleaned regularly, I have never encountered bad smell even in the trash room. Also maintenance team responds very quickly, if I put in a request first day night and they will show up in the morning and fix the problem. Except for one time, my blinder was broken and I need to wait for a week since they have to order a new one which is completely understandable. Great job Lumiere and I highly recommend this community!

I used to live here 3 years ago. I received a bank check of a month rent when I left, which was expired a long time ago. When I asked a staff for re-issuing the check by e-mail, she responded quickly and kindly. Their service was really nice when I was living there, and it still is.

I absolutely love this apartment! We had the best 3 years in here. 1. No location is better than this: mystic river, medford dog park, wegmans, petco, Starbucks (in station landing), and further assembly row. I had everything I need in walking distance. 2. A free parking in the garage for each apartment. I don't see this deal anywhere around here. For a period of time we had two cars, and the extra parking is only $100. (other places are ~$200). 3. Maintenance is on spot! Any issue I had, the maintenance guys were there the same day or the next day the latest. They are also on call on the weekends. 4. In 3 years (end of 2019-end of 2022), our rent stayed the same! When inflation is a thing, you heard people complaining about rent goes up, not here! Every time I renew my lease, it's always the same amount! 5. They are extremely dog friendly! It was rare for an apartment to accept German Shepherd, they absolutely don't discriminate what breed your pet is. There are dog treats in the lobby, poop bags and trash cans all around the building. 6. Amenities are fantastic, pool, gym, grill, etc., There was a Christmas they had a gift wrapping station for the tenant for free, with all the supplies! 7. The move-out process was a breeze! Dropped the key and got my deposit back within a week. The list goes on, these are just the ones on top of my head. I was so sad to leave this apartment, but homeownership calls. Until today, whenever I drive by here, I still feel like home and miss this place. I genuinely wish all the staff well and recommend this place to anyone. - A super grateful previous tenant.

Diana and Diana were both fantastic helping me with the move in. They were able to help With all the requests I had and worked with me based on my schedule. The unit itself is very nice, I recommend Lumiere in Medford MA

Google
Lumière office staff is great. But, the place seems to be losing some of its standards. Garbage shoot often broken, smell of garbage permeates the place frequently enough. Patio light broken for almost a full year with no repair. A few weeks ago, some resident evidently dropped bits of trash along the corridor and couldn't be bothered to pick it up. Feels like the place needs a good deep cleaning, and residents who can respect the common spaces.

Yelp
The building is nice and they have a pool and nice common areas. However, they treat residents very poorly here. There are thousands of very specific rules and the building managers act like dictators. You cannot decorate for holidays and can't have certain things on your porch. You're only allowed to have white curtains and can't put anything on your door (like a wreath or something). We put a deposit down on an apartment and the leasing office woman gave it away. They do not care about their residents and just want people to come in and out as fast as possible.

Yelp
Awesome building and awesome staff in the few months I've been living here. The building is pretty new (2014 iirc?) and our unit is well laid out. For in-unit W/D, a balcony, pool, grills, gym and a covered parking spot, this place is a great value once you factor all of those monthly costs in. It is significantly less walkable than my previous apartment in Cambridge -- you have to drive pretty much anywhere, including the "nearby" T stop that's about a mile away. It'd be tough to live here without a car (hence the free parking) but I knew that going in so no big deal. Being on the Mystic River means there's a cool park right across the street that extends along the water from the nearby middle school all the way to Station's Landing, about a 3 mile loop. Pretty awesome perk I didn't really consider before moving in. They're also renovating the shopping area across the street and are adding a massive grocery store (Wegman's) and a few other retail shops, which is super convenient. One thing I was concerned about from reading reviews of other similar "luxury" buildings in the area is that cheap construction leads to paper thin walls where you can hear (and sometimes smell) everything that's going on with your neighbors. Not so at Lumiere. I believe they told me the walls between units are concrete. We never have noise from neighbors, and I work from home so I can attest that's true 24/7. There are occasionally some younger kids that run around and make noise in the halls for a few minutes, but nothing that would drive a sane person crazy. The staff is pretty great, from the front office to the maintenance crew to the lifeguards they bring in. Everyone is helpful, says hi and is easy to chat with if you have the time. If you're looking for a diverse community in a modern building and are used to driving most places already, you'll love it here.

Yelp
I have lived in this Lumiere Luxury Apartment in Medford, MA over 3 years. It's the BEST apartment that I've truly loved and enjoyed living there. Not only the building looks classy; they clean all the hall ways, the elevators, and the windows/doors daily. I love the high ceiling in my apartment, and the beautiful patio which I have enjoyed eating my dinners in hot summer days looking over the river and the Prudential Building. The overall landscape is very classy, and the location is unbeatable. There are a couple of walking/running trails next to the river, the new Wegmen's grocery store is also a huge plus for people without cars. I was very upset when I had to leave for personal health issues. I believe that the Best feature of Lumiere Medford is their Management and the Maintenance team, i.e. from Ms. Julie, Ms, Erica, Carlos, and Mark to the cleaning staff all sincerely want to do a good job whenever you need help. In 3 years, they have changed my light bulbs a few times, installed extra grab bar in the bathroom, etc. I never have to ask twice for any requests. I am very impressed by their dedication and high standard which many other apartment don't really care. The management team takes any request seriously, and has made my stay so very pleasant. Thank you! I also like to drive into a clean garage daily. The office will make special effort to ensure your requests get done properly. The management team also introduced me to a local garden community, and some authentic regional restaurants, etc. I can always count on Lumiere team to get things done properly while most of my friends don't have such luxury in their places. Lumiere is located in front of the Mystic River Reservoir; next to the new Wegmen's grocery store, and other sports stores. The geese and ducks always show up by the river, the luxury lounge has a huge sports TV, full kitchen, gym, and the pool table, etc. ; then the outside has swimming pools, the grills, extra fancy resort setting for outdoor parties. The management always throws a real fancy summer picnic party with the best meats and catering; and this is not a cheap pot luck. Ms. Julie and Ms. Erica actually knocked my door and remind us to join them. Carlos is another outstanding person who always maintains his cool regardless how much work he had to do. I don't think many apartments staff have such good attitude or discipline. I strongly recommend people who like a real safe relaxing place to live should consider Lumiere. Lumiere is a very beautiful, luxury, clean, and very classy apartment. I miss the place and the management team who have been extremely kind to me and my family during my stay. Thank you very much.

Yelp
I wanted to add a quick update now that I've been living here for 6 months: Again- the staff and maintenance personnel are great! Very happy, helpful, and they will work with you. I'm sure there can be customer service frustrations at times based on random experiences and personality types, but we have never had anything but helpful interactions. We have had some issues with our hot water heater, and cold showers aren't fun for anyone, but whenever I called in the problem they were very prompt with responding, taking a look and/or fixing it. While I don't like having on going issues or problems, I feel safe and confident that the staff will respond quickly day or night if something is not right with our apartment. It took a couple of tries to figure out our hot water heater issues, and we weren't the only ones having them, but the maintenance team was always very responsive whenever I reported a problem. We haven't had one in awhile, so it looks like whatever it was should be fixed! Finally, the garage parking is HUGE when it's snowy/icey/single-digit temps! No warming up the car, shoveling it out, scraping the windshield, getting frostbite bringing groceries in, or slipping and sliding over to your car.... It is an insanely fabulous perk to have during winters in Boston!

Yelp
Lumiere claims to be pet friendly and they do charge pet rent for dogs ($50/monthly for under 50lbs, $100/monthly for over 50lbs). There is no area provided by building to walk dogs. A recent email sent to all residents stated "We would like to take this moment to remind everyone of Lumiere's pet policy and community rules as we have noticed and observed multiple pet violations. All pet owners must walk their pet on a leash outdoors 25 ft. away from the Lumiere sidewalk to urinate and/or defecate. No pets are allowed to use the interior/exterior common areas as a bathroom. Please do not allow your dog to use the bathroom on the green grass and landscape of Lumiere. It is toxic to the lawn and causes discoloration to the grass. All dogs must be on a leash in the hallways, common areas and around the community. If your pet has accidents please carry your pet through the hallways to avoid." No where in our original lease (or pet addendum) was the '25-foot rule' stated (the building mgmt tends to make changes that fit the building mgmt's needs). Calling the building "pet-friendly" is nothing more than checking a check-box for advertising purposes. Not providing an area to walk dogs is not only misleading, it's unsafe given the area that this building is located. On many occasions while walking my dog across the street, I have seen dirty syringes (have even seen on building property along sidewalk as well), large amounts of broken glass, and various other items. Instead of taking time to focus on keeping the grass green, the building mgmt should focus on securing the building and providing a safe environment for residents. Or maybe focus on all the smoking that occurs on the property given the fact that this is a smoke-free environment (walk around the property and look at how many cigarette butts are always all over the ground).

Yelp
I first moved here in March (2015), unit 126 to be exact, the weather conditions were cold and my roomy I were excited to move into a brand new (luxury) apartment complex. I was grateful having the master bedroom and I instantly noticed is was colder than the rest of the unit, including my roommates bedroom (did i mention my walk-in closet was like a meat locker). After contacting managment and bringing it to their attention, maintenance did all they could do regarding this matter, but nothing was ever resolved and my room was unbearably cold for normal living conditions, mind you, I'm the type that's never cold. I even brought it to their attention that perhaps the issue was because of the exact location of the bedroom seeing it was an outide wall (abutting the underpass) and they made every excuse like I was crazy. I then asked Robin the Lumiere office manager if there was another unit available and if there was any compensation for the inconveinence seeing we had just settled in and now we needed to pick up and do it all over again............ It was like a flip of a switch, her attitude changed like I wasn't worthy or her time, she tried everything in her power not to accommodate us moving into another unit and making me feel like I was stuck there until I could'nt take it anymore and demanded to relocate into another unit!!! I desperatley move into a $375.00 (without any compensation from management) unit upgrade seeing that the complex was filling up rather fast and my relationship with the staff/managment suddenly dwindled. UPDATE ON UNIT 126: I've became friendly with many nice people in this complex and ironically 2 of them lived in unit 126, UNFORTUNATELY that had a pipe burst during the past cold nights and their entire unit was soaked and had to be relocated to a hotel nearby. :( Aftyer living her for almost a year to date and being a good paying tenant, I was notified by Stella (an office employee at Lumiere) that my scheuled payments on the Lumiere website was in jeapordy bc the online payment policy had a 3 strike rule and I had just committed my 2nd bc I accidently made a double payment, Really now??? Who gets punished for sending extra money these days........ smh She then started to give me an attitude during our phone conversation and I called her out on it, shortly after she said if I kepted up she was going to hang up on me, I said, "you're going to hang up because I'm trying to rectify the issue of double payment and you're threatening me with losing that online payment privilege", she then hung-the phone up in my face......so professional smh! FINAL NOTE: I just got and non-renewal letter (lease) from a constable today and the hostility continues!!!

Yelp
The units and building are beautiful and no problems there. Residents are great as well. Be careful when leasing here for the following because we were told different things when we moved in. 1- Apparently there are no guest passes for parking overnight. We were told that there was parking for guests overnight when we moved in. Rent is very high here and there are many spaces in the garage not in use. A suggestion is as there are spots available now they could be used temporarily. The excuse I received was insurance purposes but that makes no sense when the building already takes no responsibility for the garage and anything that could be stolen. 2- Key Fobs: If these fall off your key chain because they broke off you are charged for a new one. You are also charged for the better quality fobs that came in. These should be free as the office has noticed there was need for a better quality fob. The day I went to get a new fob because mine broke off, other residents were in the office with the same issue. The person that lives with me also had a broken fob. A resident that was in the office with me that day had their old fob card bolted down to not fall off and get charged if it went missing. This is unacceptable. We spend enough here to have better courtesy for things like this. 3- There are break ins in the garage and stolen belongings. For example: bikes that are locked. Management will take no responsibility of your things being stolen, so what is the point of a garage. There are no cameras either. There was a community event a couple weeks ago to bring awareness around safety in the community. I find it very fake. Management acts as if they care but then when confronted about are we going to make changes here for safety, the answer was no send an email. If you are going to support an event like this at least support it yourself. Police have been coming around stating to watch your things and said when they spoke to the building they did not get anywhere with future changes. Also the office told me it was our fault for the break ins because residents leave doors open. I am a good tenant and shut open doors. That is not a reason to penalize us and exactly the reason there needs to be security. With over 100 residents you can't expect perfect tenants. Bottom line is rent is too high here for the lack of effort to provide good service to tenants and safety is neglected. Going to the office and discussing is a waste of time. Very disappointed!

Yelp
As a homeowner for over 15 years me and my husband decided that we wanted to downsize and live maintenance free so we sold our home and came upon LUMIERE luxury apartments in Medford, Ma. We are both from Medford all our lives and really wanted to stay here. Well, it has been the best decision of our lives. The management team and staff at LUMIERE are outstanding. They made our move stress free and welcoming. The interior and exterior are kept immaculate and beautiful. If your looking to live happily and have high standards as I do, I highly recommend coming by Lumiere and experience living brilliantly.
