I was in town visiting Scottsdale for my birthday and my sister and I went to Luna by Giada. I mentioned in my open table reservation that it was for celebrating a birthday, and from the moment we arrived at check-in, they made sure everything was really special. Our server Natalie was awesome. We ordered a bottle of wine and since it was taking a bit to get the wine, she got us two glasses of the same wine for free and said here’s to starting off your birthday the right way! She went out of her way to make it extra special & was really nice and friendly. One of the best servers I’ve had in a really long time anywhere. The food was super good. We got the lemon spaghetti and the mushroom pizza, and I believe we added prosciutto to it. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place! when I come to Scottsdale next, it will definitely be on my list.

What an incredible evening at Luna celebrating my big 7-0! The food was fabulous and the service was spectacular from Amanda! She was so engaging and personable. She truly went above and beyond making my birthday celebration a wonderful experience! Looking forward to returning soon!

Luna by Giada offers a brunch experience that is truly unforgettable. The buffet-style brunch, priced at $95, may seem steep, but it's worth every penny. The sheer variety of dishes, from elegant pastries to savory main courses, is simply astounding. The service was phenomenal, with the staff being as courteous and attentive as ever. They were always ready to assist, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a luxurious and indulgent brunch, Luna by Giada is the place to be.

A completely ok meal! They did very little to make you forget you’re eating in a hotel restaurant in terms of ambiance and prices. The bar is *right* there at the entrance and feels like somewhere between an airport bar and a Courtyard Marriott lobby bar. Had a Rose Negroni which was great though (wine list also leaves a lot to be desired). They had terrible live music — some guy who can’t sing playing covers ranging from Johnny Cash to John Mayer while simultaneously playing hits from 2005-2010’s throughout the rest of the restaurant. The focaccia was amazing. Fritto Misto was good but too much for two people. The speciality pasta, lemon spaghetti, was perfectly executed in terms of balancing lemon and mascarpone but I’m not sure I would go out of my way for it. The filet was perfectly cooked temp wise but under salted. It was served with a raviolo with a quail egg but since it was served with the pasta dish, the quail egg wasn’t runny by the time we cut into it. The presentation was beautiful. The service was great. Probably won’t be back but it was good to check it out.

This review is based on Thanksgiving menu only This was an incredible Thanksgiving menu and top-notch service. Everyone was warm, attentive, and ensured our experience was memorable. The turkey was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes, savory stuffing, and a tangy cranberry sauce. The pasta appetizer was rich and fresh .And the dessert—a masterpiece—was almost too pretty to eat. If this service is the norm for this place, then Luna by Giada is a must-visit.

We went here for date night and we usually go to fine/classy restaurants and this place is beautiful. We’re food network fans and try to visit the celebrity chef restaurants so we were excited to try Luna. Good attentive service without being annoying; but like others have mentioned, everything is somewhat overpriced for what you get. I feel the focaccia bread starter should just be provided, certainly not worth the charging price. The Caprese salad was fantastic and the balsamic pearls were incredible.. kinda like caviar almost. Cocktails were OK, but not very strong and also a bit higher than typical even for Scottsdale. The Lemon spaghetti was unique and comes with 2 shrimps.. I added 2 more at $10 each. It was delicious and enjoyable. The lemon pizza was good too. The most memorable, unique dish was dessert soufflé. I can’t recall any other restaurant that offers this, so it was definitely worth trying and very light and delicious. This is a great place for a date or to impress clients. Everything is a premium probably just because it’s at Caesars, so be prepared when the check arrives.

Our first visit was great! We were warmly welcomed at the door, sat at a cute little table with great views of the kitchen and the patio, and the service was great! All of Melanie’s suggestions were so delicious. We chose the Lemon pizza to start—a must for sure! For dinner we had the Lemon pasta with the Maine lobster and the chef’s special, the trio, which gave us the perfect taste of everything. We ended dinner with the tiramisu and vanilla gelato. A night to remember and will definitely be back again soon! Thank you again, Melanie and the Luna wait staff!

We had Shareese, Kaitlyn, and Jose take care of us tonight and were having trouble describing what an incredible experience we had. The food was beyond expectations but the attention to detail and kindness and engagement from every single staff member really pushed the experience over the top. We definitely monopolized our servers because we loved talking to them so much. Their recommendations were all spot on and we adored every single dish and drink we had. By the end we were making plans to visit our waitress in two days for apertivos. Don’t be intimidated by the celebrity chef status- the food is comforting and familiar but of the highest quality. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have an amazing night.

Yelp
Delicious food, I didn't love the cheesecake dessert Gilbert was incredibly attentive, excellent service. Very good ambiance

Yelp
Let's start with the service, Amanda was super attentive, she is by far one of the best servers I have had the chance to interact with. Giada is very fortunate to have this young woman on her team. The Lemmon spaghetti was great, tangy and creamy. We had this dish as the chef's special with Lobster, the butter sauce was amazing according to my party! Luna ribeye was cooked to perfection, my husband was gloating about it. We had it as a special as well, the giant ravioli was good but the potatoes were great. Crab arancini was tasty and crunchy- sauce gave it the perfect balance. Fritto mixto was my favorite, again the sauce was perfect pairing. Now for the Desserts... chocolate soufflé- presentation was great, taste was yummy and warm. We added some gelato to it and that made it great! Ricotta cheesecake- the cookie on this was amazing, the texture was crunchy like it should be and the cheese has the perfect amount of ricotta so the texture of the cake isn't compromised. And lastly we also had the tiramisu- OMG the best we have had, perfect texture on all levels, perfect punches of flavors. Drinks were delicious, on the pricey side but expected in Scottsdale. We had the Isabella- was good amount of tequila, tart and semisweet and fico prugna - was on the sweeter side but didn't disappoint with its fig and thyme. The setting was warm, although it was an open concept you felt one with your party. The huge pepper shakers were a fun addition! Only gripe was the venue admin fee, what was that about?

Yelp
Best steak we have ever had. Amazing food, service, staff and the GM's are so professional. We travel over an hour to eat here and it is worth it every time. This place has the total experience. Great job folks.

Yelp
Luna by Giada is a great choice if you're looking for an aesthetic spot in Scottsdale. Located inside a gorgeous new hotel, this place has all the vibes--chic décor, plenty of seating (both indoor & outdoor), and a menu that'll have you drooling. We weren't super hungry when we went, but we had to try the lemon pasta and lemon pizza --both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. We also sipped on a mocktail that was just as amazing! Oh, and shoutout to our server, who was seriously the best. The rest of the menu looked so good that we're already planning to come back with a bigger appetite. If you're in Scottsdale and want a fun, stylish spot with great food, definitely check out Luna by Giada!

Yelp
Visited Luna twice recently and both experiences were slightly different. One visit was a Tuesday evening which was chill, quiet and relaxing. You could actually hear each other in a conversation. While the next visit was a Friday which was busy and loud. Of the items we ordered, we liked the branzino and risotto the best. The citrus caesar was delicious. We also had the Lemon Spaghetti was good but as described, heavy on the lemon side and not my preference. The almond choclate cake was also delicious. The veranda upstairs has a pretty view! Must stop to check it out when there!

Yelp
First time here. Beautiful property . Restaurant was super busy. Greeted by Shereese with enthusiasm! I will say... she was the highlight of the entire dining experience. Started with cocktails. For $21 a drink... I would have loved to taste some liquor. Yes.. it was good... but not for the price. 3 sips.... All ice. Done. Appetizers were okay. Came out very quickly so I know that they were all premade. Again... nothing special. Presentation was very nice. Both couples ordered bottles of wine. Actually the best part of the alcohol situation. Dinners were okay. The lemon spaghetti with 2 small shrimp. It's good... but for $38 it should have more protein. The Risotto with 2 scallops... so lame. Ordered 1 extra scallop... $20 a piece... that is such a joke. Dessert was wonderful. The cookies and tiramisu were incredible. Will I return? No. Unless someone else is buying. Too many incredible restaurants in the area to visit. Best part... visiting with my cousin. Second best... our server.... She was wonderful. Food.... Meh... nothing special.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened. Some friends asked if we wanted to go and I was excited to finally give it a try. What a disappointment. I will say that the restaurant is quite beautiful, and it was very busy. It is located in the Caesars Republic hotel which is very modern and fancy. It has another restaurant on the 7th floor and a terrace on the 8th floor with a nice view of the city. The food and drinks were mostly underwhelming and overpriced. I got the Bella Luna which was recommended by our server. $21 for a drink I could have made at home. The caprese salad was not bad but $23 for a tiny salad is not worth it. My husband enjoyed his acorn squash soup and son said the filet was good. The sausage pizza was something I could get at our local pizza shop. $30 for a small pizza like that is ridiculous. I was looking forward to trying the signature dish lemon spaghetti but it came out cold and the shrimp was crunchy and undercooked. The nodi marini alla vodka also came out cold. $38 + $16 for chicken for a small dish like that is insane, and it really wasn't anything special. For dessert, the tiramisu was way too sweet and did not have an authentic taste. I still can't believe we dropped so much on a bad meal and on top of that they charged a 3.5% service fee and added 23% gratuity to our bill. Our server was ok but nothing special and we were brought cold food. Not to mention they didn't even offer us the pepper. Honestly, they are ripping people off at this restaurant. Seriously, up your game if you're going to charge people this much for food and drinks. I'm sad to say we were very disappointed by Giada's restaurant and we will not be returning it recommending it to anyone.

Yelp
The restaurant is absolutely stunning! I love the modern minimalist look but yet so cozy. The device was impeccable and my server recommended I order the lobster tail to pair with my pasta and it's was perfect. I loved the pasta so much and took my leftovers home which was still good reheated the next day. The lobster and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pasta sauce on top was so good!! The focaccia bread was great because it was overly filling! Loved coming here and can't wait to come back soon!

Larry D.

Yelp
Service was marginal at best. Received appetizers well before drinks. They took care of the initial drinks but really? Very loud atmosphere. Caprese salad was excellent. Oysters crudo was very good. Pork chop saltimbocca was delicious. Tasty. Perfectly prepared. Lemon pasta with shrimp was disappointing. Pasta seemed very undercooked. 3.5% venue admin fee tack on......

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. I highly recommend making a reservation, as seating is limited. The space has an open-concept design, allowing you to see directly into the kitchen. While the service was generally good, our bottle of wine was forgotten, and the pacing of our courses felt off. The drinks were quite expensive, with cocktails ranging from $22 to $25. Surprisingly, some were made with basic Stoli vodka, which felt underwhelming for the price. We sampled a variety of dishes, starting with the bacon-wrapped dates and the crab arancini. The arancini was outstanding--perfectly fried, with incredibly fresh crab, served alongside a flavorful spicy red sauce. For entrees, we ordered the lemon spaghetti, spicy sausage pizza, scallop risotto, and nodi marini alla vodka. Unfortunately, the pizza was a letdown--undercooked in the center and lacking flavor. However, the scallop risotto and lemon spaghetti were exceptional. Both dishes featured high-quality seafood and stood out for their unique flavors. The highlight of the meal, without question, was the tiramisu. It was one of the best I've ever had. Overall, the experience was good, but I wouldn't return due to the steep prices and the food not quite living up to them.

Adrianna S.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow. Luna was everything I was hoping it to be, plus more. It's a beautiful restaurant inside the hotel. Definitely make a reservation because they fill up. Service was incredible. Our water glasses never got below halfway before they were refilled. Everyone was so attentive. Our main server was excellent! I had questions about everything and he was super informative and so helpful. Now the food... Amazing! The Caesar salad was light with a little bit of citrus flavor. The pastas were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. You have to get the lemon spaghetti! As for dessert, we asked what they recommended. They suggested the cheesecake and it did not disappoint. It was light for a cheesecake and so delicious. Oh really good cocktails and great wine selection as well. Can't wait to go back and try their Aperitivo hour.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the rooms, drinks, bar, atmosphere and food! We went to eat on Christmas and it was truly a beautiful night. We sat in a "star" room and we absolutely loved it. Service was not our favorite. (Only thing lacking) If you work in a high end restaurant, in Scottsdale, on Christmas we are going to tip well you above the average 20%. We asked the server what he recommends and he said he was "hurting himself" by telling us the cheaper option. There were a ton of little comments regarding tips and we get it (it's Christmas, but we're also just here for a good time). So he forgot our utensils, my drink and double charged us for an appetizer but the manager gave us a free dessert so that was great The busser was phenomenal and took care of us! He is 5 stars alone. You have to come try out all the amazing appetizers, food, and dessert! We sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks after and the service was phenomenal. We will be back and request dinner at the bar :) Thanks for an amazing Christmas!

Cameo L.

Yelp
This place was some of the best Italian I have ever had! Our server was amazing she was so attentive and made sure that my meal was as dairy free as possible. She was one of the best servers I have ever had and I believe her name is Amanda? Everything was jammed pack full of flavor. I had the rigatoni pasta and the citrus Caesar salad. The hint of citrus in their food was the perfect balance of acid and tang. The Caesar salad was the best at this balance. For my pasta I ordered scallops and they were so tender and cooked perfectly and went great with the rigatoni. The restaurant was a bit loud so hard to have conversations across our large table. However the decor and design of the restaurant was very modern and pretty. Needless to say we rolled out of there as we were so full. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

Nicole B.

Yelp
Hands down, so impressed. This restaurant was better than I could've imagined. I HIGHLY recommend doing family style and just sharing a bunch of appetizers as well as entrees with your fam. The food is heavenly and you just wouldn't expect such interesting pairings, but they work. What we tried & loved: Brussel sprouts, focaccia, branzino, lemon spaghetti, chicken piccata, and gelato! Service was amazing. We made reservations ahead of time because this was a surprise for my mum's birthday. I really enjoyed how classy all of the staff would treat us and how nice the inside of the restaurant was. I only wish I came during a time that Giada was actually visiting (lol)!

Mary Ann P.

Yelp
Every thing about this place is so beautiful from the decor to the presentation of the food and drinks We came for happy hour and ended up eating our entire meal in the lounge area because the vibe and music were so happening. Service is on point and so friendly We tried several different dishes and everything was so delicious. The pizza is outstanding and the pasta dishes shouldn't be missed I loved the vegetarian bolognese.

Mitchi R.

Yelp
Luna by Giada was a fantastic experience! The service was exceptional--truly top-notch. Despite being casually dressed (I wore shorts and a long sweatshirt that covered them), I felt completely welcomed and at ease. The staff treated us as if we were dressed formally, even though most other diners, particularly the couples on date nights, were dressed elegantly. My group was carbo-loading for a half marathon the next day, but since I wasn't running, our server recommended I try the branzino instead of the salmon I originally had in mind. I'd never had branzino before, and it was incredible! The pan-fried fish was accompanied by pomegranates, grilled endive, and a celery root-vanilla purée that was so delicious I wished for more. The restaurant's ambiance was beautiful, and I was particularly drawn to the private dining room. It seemed perfect for hosting an intimate dinner party for up to 14 people, creating a setting for memorable evenings with great friends. I also sampled the lemon spaghetti, which was very flavorful, but my favorite treat was the soft, fluffy focaccia bread. Pairing it with the lemon-mascarpone butter was a delight--I could have taken a whole tub of that butter home with me! While I was dressed casually, this restaurant is certainly a great choice for special occasions. It's a lovely spot for celebrating milestones or simply enjoying a wonderful meal with people whose company you treasure.

Kelsey N.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the meal! I love lemon so I loved the lemon notes all throughout the menu. Their lemon butter for the focaccia was amazing! I also thought the lemon shrimp pasta was delicious and a good, light dish. This is a good option for a special occasion!

Meghan P.

Yelp
We had the BEST experience at Luna by Giada. I truly think our server, Melanie was excellent. She was full of suggestions and made our night really fun! We shared so many items. Don't skip out on ordering the focaccia, caprese, Ceasar salad and the bacon wrapped dates! Wow! Perfect flavor and serving size. For dinners - two of us for the lemon pasta one added lobster and one subbed shrimp for Chicken. The presentation was incredible! We shared the lemon pizza and was so flavorful and YUM. OMG the desserts ...tiramisu was so good and the cheesecake! Ask for Melanie, she was the BEST!

Abigail W.

Yelp
After dinner my friend and I swung over here for a birthday dessert. Not knowing what we were walking into, sat at the bar and got a menu. Friend got a glass of wine and we picked two things- the tiramisu and the limoncello Soufflé. I'd eat 1,000 of those soufflés if I could. It was incredible. Literally made my night. Don't get me wrong, the tiramisu was delicious too, but the soufflé stole the show. The bar was pleasant to sit at, I think there was one other guy there, the dining room to the back of us looked packed. But the bartender.. he was coming off as arrogant. I'm not sure why, thought he was cool at first but nope, both my friend and I noticed his attitude. When asked if they had a mocktail list he laughed at me and said No. Honestly thought he was joking at first and he just stared and then walked away. Ok, not a big deal, I'll just have a water. Minus him, great time here.

Michael W.

Yelp
I'm over the luna for Luna. I'm not really a Giada fan, but I am a fan of so good Italian eats. The four of us came to Luna and had a pizza and booze night. The ladies chose to have a beer while I shared a bottle of Duckhorn with my bro. We also got a couple of salads on the side for balance and ended the meal with dessert. It was the perfect meal. My favorite bites came from the spicy sausage pizza, the arugula salad, and the limoncello souffle. There wasn't a bad bite, though, so you can't go wrong. Come to Luna. You won't be disappointed.

Sheila M.

Yelp
What a great place! Food was great, the focaccia bread was amazing , lemon spaghetti wow is all I can say. Lobster, scallops shrimp were spot on. Service was great! The bar staff were great as well. Live music two nights in a row. Both were very good.

Thomas R.

Yelp
We visit the Phoenix/Scottsdale area once a month so we've been meaning to visit this place. My wife is big on famous chef's and we make it a point to visit our favorite chef's restaurants to see if they live up to the hype as well as supporting their business. The restaurant is located inside of the Ceasars Republic hotel near the fashion square mall. The ambiance is very posh with a lot of patrons dressed up as well as casual. Before we opened the door, we got the vibe of sophistication and style by walking past a Ferrari parked on the sidewalk. One of many exotic rides in the small parking lot where we utilized the valet option. We made reservations and found ourselves waiting an extra 10-25 minutes to be seated along with a few other couples with the same problem. We were all patient and just enjoyed the sleek and modern scenery while others killed time at the bar feet away. The hosts were nice and professional. We couldn't help but notice the tiny black dresses/skirts that most of the young women were wearing, to no complaints to anyone present. Once it was ready, the host/manager Kenny walked us to our table while giving us a rundown of the hotel and other attractions that it holds. Kenny also gave us the rundown on the open kitchen and the history of the building and restaurant. He was very professional and a great introduction to the experience. Kinda reminded me of cousin Richie from the bear show, super chill yet on top of his game. We checked out the menu and knew we had plenty of options to choose from. Always a good sign when you don't have to force a choice with uncertainty. We got a half dozen oysters, fried calamari and shrimp with an order of facoccia bread. All were fresh and tasty. The shrimp outshined calamari but that's the only thing I'd mention. For entrees, I got the branzino that came with endives and celery puree. It was magical with the perfect skin texture. My love interest ordered the Filet, medium rare that comes with a quail egg and she added a few scallops to go with it. The Filet was ideal and the scallops were just as good, coming from somebody that helped myself to 2 of the 4 lol. For dessert, we got the souffle with hazelnut topping and the lemon cheesecake. The cheesecake hit the spot while the souffle was a mind trick where it looked like a cake yet tasted like scrambled eggs. I won't take any points away because, that's pretty normal for souffle and I can't blame anybody but us for expecting different. The hazelnut sauce was good enough to break even in taste. Everything about the food lived up to our high expectations and the service was second to none. Our waitress Natalie was very attentive and friendly. She never made us feel that she was in a rush but she was still zooming around handling her rounds along with everybody working here. The system they have in this business is flawless and efficient. I even have to add that the entire restaurant was FULL of beautiful people. From the waitresses, hosts, servers etc. You'd think there was a strict policy and screening in order to work here where no exceptions are made lol. All in all, I really like this place and you won't even break the bank eating here. I'd come every month if there weren't other restaurants owned byfood network celebs in town, but I'll definitely be back! The game ball goes to Natalie, Kenny and the youngster Juan for the best customer service!!

Sake C.

Yelp
Good ambiance and great service. The signature lemon spaghetti is great. Food is overpriced for the amount you're getting.

Elicia N.

Yelp
Beautiful spot, great bar setup. Seven upstairs had beautiful views but I ended up scooting back to the lobby bar as there were more people there at 5:30 in a Friday. The grapefruit juice was so fresh! I ordered the Oyster Crudo and Signature Lemon Spaghetti, subbed scallops for shrimp. So delish and no upcharge which was delightful. Just decadent, and the crispy capers, the best part! My bartenders Lexy and Dava were lovely, attentive and so sweet. Everyone was truly great!

Yelp
Moon in Italian is "Luna" therefore it makes perfect sense to be Moonstruck with Luna by Giada! How can one not be mesmerized by amazingly prepared food, terrific service all in a beautiful surrounding. Fly me to the Luna now! Cheesy I know. But wait till you order the fantastic dishes offered with grade "A" top notch ingredients...all prepared in an open kitchen. (please refrain from placing your nose on the glass divider) After trying to cajole and was finally able to drag in Joyce W to try Luna, we have pinky sworn (very solemn in our book) to come back over and over again. I KNEW SHE WOULD LOVE IT! ...thats for joycie to read. Service was like a well orchestrated symphony, ever present, without being obtrusive. Difficult to accomplish. I must make mention here of how impressive manager Kenny G (thats right!) was overlooking the staff Jay (tremendous!) and Damian (cool!) ensuring diners are well taken care of and all is in order. Elegant simplicity accomplished. Here's the skinny on the PHAT (pretty hot and tempting) incredible edibles we ordered: Spoiler Alert! Everything was Magnifico! *Branzino was well prepared, flakey, not overcooked yet with a crusty skin and imo 5*stars *Lemon Spaghetti cooked al dente, firm to the bite, with a fragrant essence of lemon. Plus we ordered extra Jumbo Shrimp. This was a WoW effect on the entire table! *Bistecca alla Florentina Porterhouse is a hefty seasoned porterhouse perfectly charred outside temperature appropriate inside (to your liking) with a sauce to die for! Our visit with Princess Joyce was much more serenely superb! On to the PIZZA'S we enjoyed in order of preference: *Lemon Pizza- GET THIS! What a delight as 3 different cheeses are present. Clearly everyone's favorite in our group! *Sausage Pizza came in a close second place but still outrageously good! "Thatsa Spicy meatball!" is what I always exclaim although Miss Joyce says NO Italian says that jon! *Classic Margherita Pizza- one of the best ever had and I've been to Paris!...Texas :( *Mortadella Bianca- it was ok but not a favorite as other pizza's on the table won the race! Note: Apparently this pizza will be 86'd off the menu. *Citrus Caesars salad- oddly different, wonderfully delicious. *Arugula salad- fried pancetta with "rocket" arugula greens and comes with two blankets of parmigiano cheese that everyone fought over. Next time I want my own blanket! ***DESSERTS NOT TO BE MISSED*** *Limoncello soufflé- wiggles (like my belly) when you move it and maintains its form! You've entered the Twinkle Zone! Blueberry sauce that screams good accompanied by Lemon Biscotti. Use up all the sauce or I'm coming to get your leftover! *Mascarpone Brownie Cheesecake- Al Capone approved! See Photo! Order Ahead! SELLS OUT! Whew I need a drink! Did someone say drink? A Wine List that will rival an "E" Ticket at Disneyland! Plus excellent beers and marvelous cocktails galore that will...well you know. Cheers to all! **Valet Parking available **Self Parking available as well As Always, Thank You For Reading! Enjoy life while staying safe!

Yelp
If we have been Yelp friends for while, you would know that one of the things I hate the most in this world is for my arch-nemesis, Jon H., to be right. On top of that, he has been going off, non-stop about how disappointed he was over my man, Bobby Flay's, restaurant. So when I tell ya I came into Luna by Giada, Giada De Laurentiis being Jon's honey-babe, just waiting to hate on this place, you best believe it. I will now sit here and say that I'm not even a fan; I'm an air conditioner! The four of us ordered two beers (Huss Blonde Ale and The Shop Crispy --- Yay to Arizona drafts), a bottle of Duckhorn wine, the Arugula Salad, The Citrus Caesar Salad, all four pizza offerings, Limoncello Souffle, and the Mascarpone Brownie Cheesecake. Arugula Salad (Crispy Pancetta, Candied Lemons & Parmigiano Reggiano): This has pancetta. What else do you need? You can't go wrong with a peppery arugula salad. Citrus Caesar Salad (Citrus Caesar Dressing, Parmigiano Reggiano, Focaccia Croutons & Crispy Capers): Had I been wearing a skirt, this salad would have made it flip. This is the salad that I would order for myself and eat it with a side of fries. Flavorful, cheesy, and oh so good. That subtle brightness of the citrus is oh so pleasing. Signature Margherita (Roasted Campari Tomatoes, Basil & Mozzarella): I judge a pizza place by their margherita. It's a simple and classic combination and if you can do this right, you know the rest will be amazing. This was perfection. The sauce had a pleasant sweetness that you just can't compare. Lemon Pizza (Mozzarella, Garlic Creme Sauce & Caciocavallo Cheese): My favorite of the four pizzas easily. I love a good pucker and this pizza is all about balance. Cheese on cheese on cheese, garlic, cream, lemon... these are all my favorite things on a perfectly charred crust. My mouth has turned into a waterfall just typing this out. Mortadella Bianca (Parmigiano Reggiano, Shaved Mortadella & Pistachio): We learned that they will be taking this off the menu soon for a mushroom pizza. Sad. Jon H. was going on and on about how he had a hankering for some Oscar Mayer bologna after eating this. ;D I kid. If I were to be honest, out of the four pizzas, this one shined the dullest. I was expecting it to be the winner as another pizzeria in town does a similar pizza with pistachio, parmesan, and red onions and it's one of my favorites. The Mortadella Bianca wasn't bad. Girl was just got lost in a star-studded pizza family. Spicy Sausage (Roasted Peppers, Scamorza & Oregano): Now that's a spicy meatball! (Jon H.: No one Italian really says that, Joyce!) It's not really spicy for a walking chili pepper like me but I like a bite. If something bites me, Imma bite back! This was my second favorite slice of the night. Limoncello Souffle (Blueberry Anglaise & Candied Lemon Biscotti): Get your camera out and be prepared to record. What my girl Giada and I lack in height (short girls unite), this souffle makes up for. Is this a skyscraper!? The taller the souffle, the closer to God. Great flavors and good balance. A dessert that's light and not too sweet? It's my kinda dessert. Mascarpone Brownie Cheesecake (Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Brownie, Espresso Caramel & Mascarpone Whipped Cream): We were told this cheesecake gets sold out nearly every night and I can see why. As a big cheesecake fan, this hit all the right notes. Speaking of notes... Every time a gentleman in a sharp suit walked by, the sensual notes of a saxophone permeated the air. I later found out that Kenny G is their manager. KENNY G! Don't believe me? Ask the staff! Tell them Jon H. said so! ;D The food was spectacular and the staff was amazing. A big shout out to Jay and Damian for the amazing service.

Yelp
The restaurant gets a 4 but the server a 5! Restaurant is beautiful, a little noisy, but the overall atmosphere is great. Like being in Las Vegas as a nice hotel restaurant but you are actually in Arizona. There are many food and beverage choices and lots of lemon dishes. The main reason for the four stars is that it took over an hr from being seated to being given entrees. The kitchen got quite backed up after some cooking staff were sent home. Our server did apologize and made sure we were well taken care off. The lemon spaghetti was quite interesting but not piping hot. The shrimp was well cooked. The pizza on the other hand was quite warm and fresh out of the oven. And the tiramisu was a perfect way to end the night! Would highly recommend this place and am definitely open to returning for a nice celebration for locals or visitors!

Yelp
Everything we had was absolutely fantastic! Service was incredible, Jay was amazing! Start to finish, so good!

Yelp
We enjoyed our first visit to Luna and were in great hands all evening. Jay provided the highest level of service including descriptions of all our meals, recommended pairings and was attentive throughout. The food was divine and we tried many new things like the lemon spaghetti and corn and sausage side. We will be back!

Yelp
I was really looking forward to dining at Luna by Giada in the new Caesar Republic Hotel in Scottsdale for a birthday celebration. Despite everyone having their meal choices ready, our evening got off to a rocky start. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:15 pm reservation, but we weren't seated until 7:40 pm, which was disappointing. Standing around a cramped bar waiting for a table made us feel uncomfortable, especially with people passing by. When we were finally seated at a small table meant for four, they tried to squeeze in six adults, which was not ideal. As our waiter came around, he noticed our discomfort and we requested a larger table, which thankfully became available. We quickly moved to the bigger table and placed our orders. For the appetizers, the Focaccia bread with pesto sauce was warm, crispy, and delicious. The Lemon Pizza was good, with a semi-sweet cheese similar to Brie and a fresh lemon touch. The Caesar Salad with toasted croutons and lemon dressing was decent. For the main course, the Lemon Pasta with shrimp was disappointing as the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, and the pasta was mushy instead of al dente. However, the Scallops with Risotto were very enjoyable. Regarding the service, it was subpar as our waitress would often disappear, making it difficult for us to get her attention when needed, such as for water. The highlight of the meal was the Tiramisu, which was excellent and the one thing I would consider going back for. However, considering the prices of $70-$90 for pasta, the quality should have been outstanding across the board, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. Additionally, be wary of the 3.5% tax added to the bill as a hotel fee, which you can request to have removed. Unfortunately, Luna by Giada fell short of our expectations and I don't plan on returning.

Yelp
We love this restaurant and now our friends do, too. Elegant, fabulous food and wonderful service from Melanie.

Yelp
I wish I had taken photos! I am not sure I understand the people complaining about price. Check the menu before you go, it is a high end meal. The service was excellent, and waitress was great! Drinks were great, and had plenty of alcohol in them. Started with the crab aracini, salad, lemon spaghetti with two extra shrimp, the pork chop, and tiramisu! The best meal I have had. I cannot say enough, it was as excellent and we would definitely come back and will!

Yelp
We had dinner here for Valentine's night and it did not disappoint. I've been lucky enough to eat at a few celebrity chef restaurants before, but this evening may have risen to the top! The food was absolutely incredible- I had the Agnolotti and can honestly say I've never eaten anything quite like it before. It was phenomenal!! It was a very busy evening obvi, but our server Kaitlyn made us feel like the only ones she was taking care of. I strongly recommend this place for a special night out!

Yelp
Truly a 5-Star Dining Experience! Our server, Shereese, was honestly what made the dinner so memorable. Without a doubt, she is the best server you will ever encounter anywhere! (Seriously! It was so remarkable that my husband, who dines at numerous restaurants worldwide, was absolutely blown away.) Not only is she impeccably professional with honest recommendations and a deep knowledge of every detail of the menu, but she also possesses a genuinely poised and clever personality. She checked on us so many times and always at the perfect moments (even though the restaurant was packed). Her phrasing was so refined, like when she said, "I feel like I'm stealing your plate, but it looks as if you are finished," instead of asking, "Are you finished?" or when she said, "I won't hold you hostage; I'll get you the check," always in such a refreshing yet respectful manner. She just exuded joy & positivity. The BUGATTI FOCCIA bread board is a must; I think anyone will tell you that! The focaccia bread is served with a special creamy butter, fresh pesto, and a balsamic & olive oil mix--it was an extraordinary start. Shereese suggested spreading a touch of the creamy butter on the bread before dipping it into one of the other dishes, and that truly elevated the experience. I can see why Giada's olive oil and balsamic vinegar are famous, because the pesto and the "balsamic & oil" dips were both on a whole different level. I'm planning to return with my friends and make a meal of that and the Caprese Salad! The CAPRESE SALAD was phenomenal--an absolute must-try. Instead of mere mozzarella, it featured creamy stracciatella cheese, and the bite-sized wedges of multicolored tomatoes were incredibly fresh. An amazing balsamic and pesto drizzle surrounded it, with balsamic molecular gastronomy pearls literally bursting with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I had Giada's SIGNATURE LEMON SPAGHETTI, which was perfectly twisted in a creamy mascarpone cheese lemon sauce, with crispy capers (which I absolutely loved), and two shrimp. As Shereese placed it before me, she said, "Chef Giada recommends tipping the pasta over into the sauce." My little tip is to have some freshly ground pepper added (from their cool 3-foot-high pepper grinders). My husband had the SCALLOP RISOTTO. The risotto was perfectly cooked and delicious, with peas, asparagus, Maryland crab, and topped with two scallops. Both dishes were generously sized and filling. They offered several unique cocktails, many made with gin. I opted for "The Moderno," which included Smoke Wagon small batch bourbon, Giffard orgeat syrup, lemon juice, Bigallet China China liqueur, with a splash of Super Tuscan wine floating on top. Personally, I would have preferred more fruit-forward options that weren't as strong, so given the cocktail price of $21, I will order a soft drink next time. However, if you enjoy creative, well-crafted, strong cocktails made with premium spirits, you will find excellent options here. For dessert, Shereese brought us their famous round cheesecake-on-brownie, beautifully decorated and garnished. It was so incredible that we ate as much as we could at the restaurant and the rest at home. Paul, the general manager, was incredibly personable and came over to wish us a happy anniversary after we received the check. He ensured that we enjoyed everything and that the dessert was comped, which Shereese had already taken care of. They obviously informed the valet when we were ready to leave, because our car was waiting at the door, and one of the (all very special) valets said, "We appreciate you." Everything (and everyone) was exceptional, but requesting Shereese as your server is a must. We will definitely return!

Yelp
I grew up watching Giada, so I was eager for Luna. We waited an hour despite having reservations. The risotto and scallops were good, but the meal didn't shine. The oyster crudo was fresh, and tiramisu were decent; they comped the dessert for our wait. Staff was kind, and the decor down to the lighting was beautiful. I'd skip dinner but might try lunch?

Yelp
Seated right away and very comfortable setting. Our waitress- Melanie was outstanding. She was on point and when asked question about 2 different dishes she explained them both and help with making the decision. That right there is gold. I would recommend here over & over. Luna's wise choice on her. Food was delicious. From Lemon Pizza, Lemon Spaghetti sauce was to die for. Chicken Picatta & lemon sauce was so good. Brussels sprouts best ever tasted. Then dessert all sweet treats that anyone would want seconds on. Well done Luna's .

Yelp
This restaurant has been on my list for awhile after going to her establishment in Vegas on the strip! So when I found out they were opening another restaurant in Scottsdale I was excited! As I knew this newish restaurant would be popular I booked a seat for four several month in advance with my preferences! The restaurant is located within a hotel near the Scottsdale mall perimeter. It's a little hidden but any map app will direct you to the restaurant. The hotel restaurant has valet parking but a covered lot across the way exists too. Self parking is free and very convenient. The restaurant opens at 5pm. We booked our seating for 6pm so part of our party enjoyed cocktails at the super modern bar upon entrance. As we just got in for reservations, we checked in with desk outside of restaurant. The check in process was a bit awkward as we had to wait for about ten minutes to be seated. We just stood awkwardly not knowing what we were supposed to do after checking in. Finally we were greeted and taken to our table. The rest of our party at the bar were shown to our table as well! We were promptly greeted at our table by the staff. We were introduced to their cocktails and wine menus. The restaurant, as you would expected has a lengthy wine menu and speciality cocktails. Shortly after our waitress provided us a wealth of information on each of the courses and some of her favorites! All sounded lovely! We started with some fresh focaccia with dipping sauces. A bit small for four people so if you are a big bread eater you might need two. We then tried the dates. There were five decent size dates which were very good in flavoring. The next course was salad: I started with a traditional Cesar. Salad had a lot of Parmesan and croutons. I usually skip croutons but these were very fresh and yummy. Only miss was lack of anchovy taste. As for dinner, I had the lemon spaghetti as this is their signature item on the menu! Unfortunately the entree was not spot on as the two shrimp provided with the dish were overcooked thus dry! Too bad as they were good size shrimp. The other person in our group had the same issue with their shrimp. The best entree of the group was the steak which was cooked perfectly. Our other friend had pizza and it was nothing special and it was dry. Another miss. For dessert we sampled two desserts off the menu: lemon soufflé and a chocolate cheesecake like dessert. Both were good but not great! So as for we had highs and lows! For this price should be perfect: especially as it's Giada's restaurant. Service was good! One of our favorite servers was Jose and his big pepper grinder! Thanks Jose for posing for me with the grinder! As for atmosphere: restaurant is super modern. A place to be seen! On a Saturday night, as you would expect, the restaurant was packed! Make sure you dress to impressed.

Yelp
Our server was amazing! The food is out of this world. Dessert was to die for. Melanie made our night. Incredible experience! Thank you!

Yelp
My husband and I had a spontaneous date night on a recent Saturday and decided to go meet another couple for dinner / drinks at Luna by Giada... I'd been in once before for a hard hat tour before the restaurant opened, so I was prepared for the beautiful ambiance, chic decor, fun vibe, etc... but seeing it in action proved even better than I expected. The service was attentive and friendly (thanks to our waiter, Paul, and many staff members who refilled our drinks, stopped by to check on how we were enjoying the food, etc... ) I enjoyed one of their speciality cocktails, a Caesar Salad with Shrimp, a taste of steak, and some shared sides of broccolini and asparagus. We skipped dessert and headed up to the 7th floor bar for an after dinner drink and people watching... it was quite entertaining! I cannot speak to the bill as our friends picked up the tab, but I'm sure it was extremely pricey. All in all, this place is worth a visit. I'm sure it will continue to attract a high end business crowd in addition to locals looking for a quality meal.

Yelp
Loved it! Visited this restaurant while in town for a quick vacation. The atmosphere is very nice, the service was excellent, and the food was great. My favorite dish was the Branzino. Their signature lemon pasta was good, but the sauce was a little too heavy for my liking, and it needs more lemon. The salads were good. Wine selection was solid with many Italian wines by the glass. This is definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
We're visiting Arizona for my sons hockey tournament and we wanted Italian food after their game, quick Yelp search for top spot and Luna by Giada came up.. great choice for food , ambiance was incredible and food was amazing. Most important the staff , Logan the manager and tucker our waiter weee fantastic. Michael , the owner , personally thanked us for the visit!! Great quality , authentic Italian food. Their pizza and pasta was unique and amazing. This is a must try place , every time I come back to Arizona I will for sure be back here .. thank you Michael and team for amazing experience for 12+ people !!

Yelp
With a heavily anticipated opening comes high expectations. While the food was good it was not great or next level and to me the ambiance fell short. The restaurant should have been a standalone and not attached to the lobby bar as it is a "celebrity" restaurant. I was expecting to walk away with rave reviews about it the food and service with all the build up to the opening. I would still dine again but would not be my first choice. With lots of other fine dining in the area the food and service need to be top notch.

Yelp
Holy service and amazing food! I can't say enough about this place! It is glitz and glamour- all the pretty people were there! This restaurant is on the lower bottom level of the Ceasers Scottsdale & the whole place is a show stopper!! I enjoyed the salmon, so savory and YUM! We all walked away happy, full and with a doggy box!

Yelp
Food is excellent, everything is delicious from appetizers to main dishes. I will come back just for the food. However the wait & service is way too slow... We had a reservation but we didn't get seated until 1hr later. Finally we got our seat, we got our menu but no one to take our order till another 30-40mins. Our waitress is too busy chatting with other customers. My disappointed face was noticed by one waiter walking past me and he stopped and finally got our order in. Once the order was submitted, the food came really fast. Kitchen has plenty of workers, food is delicious. I just wish the wait time and service can match up with that.

Yelp
I made a reservation online a few weeks in advance for Saturday evening dinner as a late bday surprise for my sister. Booking was easy and quick. The day finally came and we arrived at the establishment right on time for our reservation. We luckily found a parking spot right away as we saw many cars circling the lot for a spot. Valet was also available. We walked in and we were both quickly greeted by the host. She was very soft spoken and told us it would be a few minutes for our table so we stood to the side. Once ready, she came over to get us and walked us to our table. It was very loud inside so it was hard to hear her. She showed us the merch wall and told us those items were available for purchase. She then walked us over to one of the tables inside but then decided to take us outside onto the patio. We sat down, she gave us our menus, and she let us know our server would be right out. While looking over the menu, another person came by and filled up our glasses with water. He was on his A game as he kept us refilled the whole night. Our server came over a few minutes later and gave us the 411. She gave us a few minutes and we proceeded to order. We ordered: CAPRESE SALAD - Heirloom Tomatoes, Stracciatella Cheese, Basil & Balsamic Pearls / $23 LEMON PIZZA - Mozzarella, Garlic Crème Sauce & Caciocavallo Cheese $28 ROASTED BROCCOLINI - Parmigiano Reggiano, Roasted Garlic Oil, Lemon Zest / $17 LIMOCELLO SOUFFLE: Blueberry anglaise & candied lemon biscotti / $14 LA ESTRADA COCKTAIL: Stoli cucumber vodka, belle de brillet, re'al kiwi puree, lemon juice, club soda / $21 The salad came out right away and we were quickly disappointed as we took our first bites. All the tomatoes had a different consistency. Some were very mushy, some were ripe, some tasted funky, and some of them tasted old. The cheese they were sitting on was more of like a yogurt and the whole combination was a big no for us - we did not finish it.... Next was the pizza and broccolini. The pizza was a pass for me but a hit for my sister. She really liked that it was both sweet and salty. I thought the crust was pretty good as it was baked perfectly. The broccolini was a side that we both agreed on that was very delicious!!! They were flavorful, crunchy, and super tasty! I would order that over and over again!! I had La Estrada drink and it too was a pass... It tasted very watered down and had no flavor. Definitely not worth the $21 price point. The Limocello Soufflé was pretty good as it was served to us warm topped with a pink sauce and they added a cute Happy Birthday chocolate on top. Service was ok. Not sure if our server would forget we were seated outside or whatever but we did a lot of sitting around waiting for her to come by. The patio area was quiet as it was just us two and another party of two eating outside. Views are great, the food was meh. Not sure I'd be back. Grand total: $145 with tip

Yelp
For my 65th birthday on Christmas Day, I decided to shake things up. After two years of excellent celebrations at Mastro's, I was excited to try Giada De Laurentiis's latest venture, Luna by Giada in Scottsdale. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations in almost every way. We arrived at 7PM, valet parking our car to avoid being late. Valet charges were $12 for restaurant guests or $40 for hotel guests. My valet experience at the end of the evening added another layer of frustration--but more on that later. The hotel housing Luna is undeniably impressive, with its striking architecture and luxurious proximity to Scottsdale Fashion Square. My family and I had fasted all day, eager for a memorable meal. After checking in, we were told there would be a 10-minute wait and that we'd be texted when our table was ready. We headed to the bar and ordered three cocktails while waiting ($75 with tip). From my vantage point to the restaurant, I noticed a large, empty eight-seat table, presumably reserved. We asked the bartender about the menu options and she recommended several items that sounded delicious. Her favorite was the Tripolini. She also mentioned the Lemon Pizza, Rigatoni, and the Petite Filet. I received a text message at 7:26 that our table was ready. A very nice young lady walked us into the restaurant and as we passed the wine wall she stopped to give us a very tacky tour of the entrance to the restaurant, she told us how many wine bottles they had on the wine wall and then she turned to the opposite wall, which was adorned with Giada Merchandise our hostess indicated we could order these items online. She stopped us again to talk about the pizza oven and how hot it gets and then she sat us down at the same empty table that I saw from the bar when we arrived at 7PM. Now I'm being seated 31 minutes late, I've been given a tour I didn't want, Giada's team tried to sell me pasta on a shelf, which in retrospect I should have bought and gone home and cooked for everybody, it would have been better than what we ordered. So now I'm hangry and irritated on my birthday. Our waitress came to the table at 7:47 and offered us either sparkling water or bottled still water, no option for tap water. We chose still water (I did not know it was $10 a bottle). At 8:00 she took our wine and food order. This is a full hour past our reservation!!! We ordered for the table 2 Sicilian Focaccia with lemon-mascarpone butter, basil pesto and olive oil. This was the best thing on the menu and I highly recommend you lather this in the lemon butter it's delicious. I also ordered the lemon pizza for the table and as Dave Portnoy would say, it's a 5.2. We also ordered the Crab Arancini and were told there were five per order, when they brought it out there were only 4 on the plate, my daughter pointed out there was suppose to be five so they took the plate back to the kitchen and returned with five. Everyone seemed to like this dish as well but one of the Arancini was cold, I believe it was the one they added to the plate because it was the only one with no parmesan shavings on it. Three of us ordered the signature dish, Lemon Spaghetti with sauteed shrimp, mascarpone cheese, basil and crispy capers ($39), It was luke warm and the jumbo shrimp was overcooked on all three orders. I ordered the Caesar salad and there was way too much parmesan cheese on it, very dry. My son-in-law ordered the Agnolotti ($41) and my daughter ordered the Bucatini Alla Nerano ($38) these were similarly underwhelming. Protein add-ons came with excessive surcharges of $9 to $20 and market price for lobster--making the already high prices feel even more unreasonable. I have not been to Olive Garden for 30 years but the food was very similar in quality and there were no unlimited salad and breadsticks. Our waitress frequently calling me "friend" and addressing my wife and daughters as "My Lady" or "My Ladies." Her enthusiasm felt misplaced and disconnected from the upscale ambiance Luna aspires to achieve. We joked that her former employer was possibly Medieval Times. With three drinks, one bottle of wine and a tip, the bill exceeded $700--steep for what felt like a glorified chain restaurant experience. The manager came to our table near the end of our meal and asked if everything was ok and I didn't want to make a bad evening any worse so I kept my mouth shut. Lastly, the valet. Upon retrieving my car, I was told the fee was $26, despite the posted $12 rate for Luna guests. When I pointed this out, the valet conceded, saying, "Oh yeah, $12 plus a tip." This blatant attempt to overcharge ended the evening on a sour note. Giada should stick to the food network not restaurants! Overall, Luna by Giada was a massive letdown. Between the lackluster food, overpriced menu, subpar service, and money hungry valet, this was a birthday dinner to forget. With so many incredible dining options nearby (Maple and Ash), I recommend skipping Luna.

Katie A.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Luna and booked my reservation 2 months in advance. The cocktails were fantastic and the spicy sausage pizza was the best thing we had. For the price you pay (...honestly it's just because Giada's name is on the restaurant), the quality is not great. I would have had a much better meal for half the price at Pomo or North. The agnolotti is incredibly small, the tripolini lacks flavor (and to add a tiny chicken breast it's an additional $16), and the pork chop ($66) is very plain with minimal sauce making it quite dry. For $30+ pastas, no entrees less than $50, and $21 cocktails, I was expecting to be wowed but that was unfortunately far from true.

Yelp
I never expected to post an average review for the new Luna Restaurant by Giada in Scottsdale, AZ but unfortunately that was exactly our experience at Luna. The best part of our dining experience was our server and her assistants. Our server was very attentive and pleasant and our drinks and food were brought promptly. The bar staff were also fast and friendly. The restaurant is decorated lovely but unfortunately it was so loud, my husband and I couldn't hear each other talk without speaking very loudly, almost shouting. We understand restaurants are loud but this was over the top. Maybe some sound cushions would help. - The bacon wrapped dates were nice but the bacon was soggy and sauce overly sweet. - The sausage pizza crust was crispy on the outside but dough soggy in the middle. The flavor was good. - The scallop risotto was gummy and the scallops were cooked but could have been seared longer. I'm going to chalk this up to being a fairly new restaurant with opening bugs that will eventually be worked out. We will wait a few months and would like to give it another try.

Yelp
What an amazing dining experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was top level at the bar and with our server Melanie. The drinks and food were one thing better than the next. Definitely recommend the lemon pizza, sounds weird - tastes phenomenal. I would highly recommend Luna as one of my favorite AZ restaurants. Super cute for a special night out or birthday dinner.
