The food was alright there, definitely more of a slow/ fast food type of eatery. Food wasn't that good honestly, best thing was the chicken fingers. But the bar has some fun drinks to try. A little pricey but can be a fun little spot to go to for some food and a drink. Plus they have a dessert place. Nothing to write home about but options are convenient. Lots room to chill in the place but the bathrooms are just for paying customers, so make sure to get your receipts cause the door code is on there.

I lived in dc for 4 years and never went to Luna(kinda offended) but glad I found it. The food was so yummy. Stir fry ramen with dumplings and boba 🧋there are a lot of options to pick from but everything under $30 so the price is really good for the quality of food. I’ll definitely be coming here more often ❤️

Went to hang out and have some bites. Sat at the bar with 2 friends. Was able to bring my food there and have plenty space Bartender was kind enough to allow us to charge our phone behind the bar. Very social and accommodating It’s not on the menu but I Asked for a mezcal deals choice cocktail and was accommodated with a mezcal sour. Also ordered a shot of Baileys. Not sure what the $2 was added on for if it was just a shot They have a cool ring swing game to play to fight for a shot My friend and I have been trying to get In touch with the owner or anyone that can help since we feel our tips were altered. I’m positive I didn’t tip over 20%, so we’re trying to get that corrected. My friend receive a notification from the bank that she tipped 40% and she knows that didn’t happen And if the $2 for a “dwink” Is a mistake/overcharge that would be nice to have corrected We have left messages on your google voice mailbox thing please contact us

Located in Chinatown near the Metro is a small food hall with a bar and several food vendors like TKK Fried Chicken, Kung Fu Tea, and District Dumplings. It's open daily. I went while on lunch break from jury duty around noon on a Monday. It wasn't busy and my food from District Dumplings came within ten minutes. The rainbow dumpling platter was tasty and surprisingly filling. There are many tables for groups and a few are near outlets to charge your phones. There's Wi-Fi throughout. The only complaint is that is smelled of cigarette smoke. With an indoor smoking ban, it caught me off guard.

We stopped by this Luna Hall in Chinatown Washington DC for teatime. It’s a cool looking place with lots of seats and different stalls selling various types of food. We ordered some Shanghai Shumai and Stir-fry Noodles at Dumpling District. We also tried their Rainbow Soup Dumplings with 6 different flavours… Pork Soup Dumpling, Crab Meat Soup Dumpling, Shrimp & Zucchini Soup Dumpling, Chicken Soup Dumpling, Mala Soup Dumpling and Black Truffle Soup Dumpling. The dumplings tasted so flavourful and yummylicious! At Kungfu Tea, we ordered two medium sized Matcha Red Bean Slush and Mangonada Slush (a spicy slush with intense flavour). Overall, it’s a nice cool place to relax and catch up while enjoying some yummy food.

Google
It's a decent place for dumplings. The rice isn't bad either. But for the most park, it's basically an old restaurant that someone put partitions up inside to make it look like different vendors. It's all the same kitchen. They have fried chicken in one "stall" and Chinese food in the other. There a poke place that seemed like No One wanted to try. There's also Boba tea available from the fried chicken place....yeah, weird. The mixed dumplings were the highlight. The chicken sandwich had a weird after taste. The seafood fried rice was flavorful and also a good portion for two people to share. I don't think I'd go back though. Just not enough variety like a real food hall would have.

So walked in went to the bar right in the front said hello to a worker was ignored. Still at the bar she walks past me 3 times she sees me but not acknowledging me or even trying to get some1 to help so I can place an order.. 4th time walking past me I ask are you working this bar her answer was no.... yes... then shrug of the shoulders as she's passing me.. she's coming back my way so I ask again you working the bar yes or no??.. not a word from her.. I'm still at this bar waiting for help and I been in this place for a good 25 minutes now.. still no help. Attached is a Pic of the lady/cunt that will not try and help... I hope she's not management because I'm definitely going to talk with the ppl who are in charge of this place before I leave

Yelp
It's been awhile I stopped by a newer DC establishment. Chinatown use to be thriving until it when downhill. So to bumped into this hall was a treat! My nephew caught it while walking to our car. He noticed they had boba tea. I decided to check it out for the sake of my nephews haha! It reminded me of Ktown located in Annandale, VA. We were happy to see something we can go to when in this part of DC! We got boba tea Kung Fu. It was pretty good. Made exactly how we ordered it. They had other vendors too that I also enjoy (from the VA location), so I'm sure it's good here too. Lots of young population which is positive marke. My only ek is the cleanliness and organization. It would be nice to maintain cleanliness every where. From bathroom to vendors. It's a city so it can get gross. Overall it's my new go to.

Yelp
Loveeee having a food hall in this area. They just opened a sushi bar at the bar counter area that is well priced ($14 for 2 rolls). I got the shrimp tempura and the spicy salmon roll. The spicy salmon was sooo good and had a nice crunch from something they added to it. The worker was extremely sweet and gave me a piece of crab salad sushi to try, like icon. The other places here are lovely as well like Kung fu Tea and the Tous Les Jours Bakery they just opened.

Yelp
AVOID AVOID AVOID. This place is absolute garbage. It has some things going for it. The locations is good and the space definitely has potential. Right now it looks thoroughly incomplete. What's unforgivable about this place is how bad it is with basic customer service points. No complimentary tap water. I've never been to a food hall without tap water. Even at the bar you can't take water to a table. Ridiculous. I wish this place was up to snuff, because if they did this right , it would be just what this area needs. However, I can't recommend this spot. It's not even close. Again, AVOID.

Yelp
A middling experience in Chinatown that was neither great nor awful. This food hall has some cute stands; however, it is quite messy and has a bad stench in the seating area. There are cleaner and nicer restaurants in the area to visit instead.

Yelp
stopped in around Noon on a Tuesday. Pretty empty. It was Very warm inside, while outside was already 90 degree something I decided to try TKK Friend Chicken. Got the 2 piece meal, with mashed potatoes and upgraded to Milk Tea with baboa The chicken & mashed potato were bland. I couldn't find salt and pepper and the restaurant stand didn't have any either Brought the food home, and probably only ate half of it Would not recommend The Milk Tea was good tho The bathroom behind the bar is marked as "out of order" but its really for the workers who kept going in and out..

Yelp
Great food hall in Chinatown with affordable food selection from several Asian vendors. Nice dark black and blue ambiance and plenty of seating. Bar has great drinks and bartender was very friendly. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Stopped in for a meal with friends on a Tuesday evening. The security guard welcomed me from the sidewalk! The space is fun and lively, lots of colors and lights. We felt like we were at the mall. We chose the armshairs and low table to recline and dine. It was pretty quiet being a weekday evening. We got scallion pancakes, the medley of soup dumplings, fried chicken and fries and a poke bowl to share. Everything was fresh, fast and ample. Two of us got cocktails which were fun and easy to drink, my friend got a beer. When we were about to close out and call it a night, the security guard swooped in and helped clean up our empty containers, what a kind guy!

Yelp
What a cool concept! I visited Luna Hall recently prior to a concert at the Capital One arena. I loved the cafeteria aspect of the hall, but also enjoyed their cool bar and plush lounge area near the front of the facility. I also dug the variety of foods available, from boba tea, to poke bowls, to noodles, to dumplings. Payment was easy and all the staff I interacted with were very pleasant. Would definitely return!

Yelp
If you don't pay attention on the say (which says Hall) you might think this place is a restaurant when looking at it from the outside. Luna Hall has a handful of food stands serving poke, Korean fried chicken, dumplings, boba tea, and cocktails (yes, there's a bar inside). I ordered the poke and honestly had low expectations for it but the portion was very generous and all ingredients were fresh!
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
Great new addition! This food hall has several different options from dumplings to fried chicken to bubble tea. I got the rainbow soup dumplings and they were delicious and filled with a lot of soup. The atmosphere is cool and there's even a bar here. You order your food at the counter, find a table to sit at, and they bring it out/call your name. It's super close to capital one too!

Yelp
Luna Hall is an Asian food hall that has various vendors on site - Luna Bar, Kung Fu Tea, TKK Fried Chicken, Dumpling District, and Pollo Aria - they will also have a ramen spot soon. There are bar counter seatings, a lounge area, as well as tables throughout the back. Restrooms on the main floor is usually out of order, but there are restrooms down the stairs. It seems as if it doesn't matter if you dine-in, as all your food will be automatically in to-go containers. We came here to check out their Dumpling District, and even though we noted that we would be dining in, ours came out in to-go containers; it was a little disappointing, as we thought it'd come out in the usual bamboo steamers. Limited metered and garage parking is available in the area. +various vendors on site +working restrooms located downstairs +metered street and garage parking available

Yelp
Love this concept! Boba, dumplings, chicken and more - all in one place! Couldn't decide where we wanted to get a quick bite to eat before the Wizards game and Luna popped up. Location was ideal - directly across the street from Capital one. At 4pm on a Tuesday (over Christmas break) it wasn't busy. We were able to put our dumpling order in easily and order a boba while we waited. Both were delicious and good deals for the price. Plenty of seating for groups and couples. The bar area was open but not serving. We'll be back to try more!
google avatar

Yelp
I enjoy the concept and hope it stays as I will come back! I like the concept of the food hall with different stalls with different foods / drinks in one place. I got the soup dumplings which were solid. They make it in front of you which is cool to see and they are pretty large dumplings as well so they fill you up. They have a nice broth as well. The stand also had pig ears which I was surprised by because it's a dish that I don't see too often in DC Chinese restaurants.

Yelp
Luna Hall is a cool, chill food hall in DC Chinatown that has some chains many are familiar with and brings some extra good, fast and more diverse eats to the neighborhood. Location is great, right next to metro and in the former Vapiano space (next to Walgreens and Motto hotel). TKK is a Taiwanese fried chicken chain and adjoined to it is Kung Fu Tea for that classic boba & Taiwanese fried chicken combo. The chicken is nice and crispy and you should try it spicy. Good sides like curly fries, shishito peppers, and churro sweet potato fries. Dumpling District: Try the rainbow soup dumplings to get a variety of flavors. My personal favorite is the truffle one! They also have other takeout staples like stir fry noodles. I liked the shredded chicken and hot and sour soup. Pollo Aria (Peruvian chicken): I got a chance to try them during a yelp event and it is a tasty choice too! The bar has a creative cocktail menu that includes fun-named drinks that are also great. Some examples: BTS: For sweet cocktail lovers, you'd be surprised it is gin! and it sparkles!, Soju espresso, boba shots! Tony is the best bar manager and very hospitable! He is always improving upon the menu and taking/incorporating customers' advice. There is a happy hour that has $5-6 beer and $10 cocktails. One thing to note is they do not serve water at the bar and you have to purchase a water bottle. It looks like they will add more businesses and host more events here in the future and they are expanding more throughout the DMV so definitely check it out!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. A central location that can check off multiple birds with one stone. If you just wanted to grab a drink and have something to eat whether it be dumplings to chicken this is the perfect place to meet your needs. You can have boba tea which is unbiasedly the best I've had worldwide to date. There's an overwhelming amount of options and makes you feel like you have no clue what to get. But you can do as I did and simply choose the one in the picture which is what I did. I still don't recall the name but will include pictures of it. It was with coffee, boba and some other milk base. But the shot of espresso was on the bottom. So it was unique and great. The soup dumplings are an absolute must. The chicken is huge. So if you go, have company you're willing to share with. The portions are great. Definitely get a bang for buck. The service was great, swift and irrefutable to give them top ratings. When they can continue to serve and keep it coming before you can finish it's you as the customer that can't keep up with the service which is always a good thing. Opposed to having to look for a waiter or waitress that's nowhere to be found like some places.

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Huge food fall in located in Chinatown DC. I tried food from the TKK fried chicken and Dumpling District. The chicken from TKK was okay. Unfortunately I ordered the 3 piece meal and they only gave me two pieces. And the wait was a little long. You are also not allowed to pick what kind of meat you prefer. The Dumplings a pork shumai from Dumpling District was pretty good and authentic. A little pricey, but portions were generous. Like most food halls, there are several places to choose from. The main floor is pretty spacious, and their is lower level seating as well.

Yelp
Luna Hall opened sometime in May or June, and according to my friend (who's been at least seven times now), it's still in the soft opening stage. We were able to talk to Tony (the bartender at Luna Hall) while we were waiting for our food, who was really nice and shared some plans he had about Luna Hall -- very cool! The food hall is a cool concept and the interior is super chill and clean, with lots of tables and seating. Currently, there is a bar and four food & drink vendors available: Dumpling District, TKK Fried Chicken, Kung Fu Tea and Pollo Aria. I believe there's poke and ramen stalls opening in the near future. Overall, neat idea and glad to see more real Asian restaurants and food halls open up in Chinatown. Excited to see how Luna Hall will develop.

Yelp
Good service and plenty of seating. Got a strawberry henny which was delicious. The hall had interesting food options and it's close to the metro and capital one.

Yelp
Make sure to make a pit stop at Luna Hall DC while you're in the Chinatown area of Washington, DC. It's an ideal spot for spending quality time with friends and family or taking a break from exploring the city. Very spacious with a comfortable seating area. Luna Hall offers a delectable and diverse culinary experience, along with a wide range of beverage choices, including refreshing bubble teas and alcoholic drinks - a definite win! Personally, I can't get enough of the scrumptious soup dumplings and Hong Kong shumai from Dumpling District, but Peruvian chicken from Pollo Aria was amazing too! :)
google avatar

Kristy S.

Yelp
Cool spot but all the stalls serve the same thing. Your order at the counter and wait for them to call you up. We ordered dumplings and fried chicken. It was underwhelming and the food took awhile.
google avatar

Yelp
Soup dumplings are good! Must try! Service was calm in busy times! Spacious and good for happy hour and conversations!

lauren c.

Yelp
The food orders just take way too long, even when there is no one there. They need to fix that.
google avatar

Gail B.

Yelp
Luna Hall has a few restaurants inside. The seating area is fun. You can order from one of the restaurants and find a seat.
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
I think this is a great-looking food hall and a great addition to Chinatown, as it adds on to the limited Asian flavors that currently exists. In a way, I see Luna Hall as helping Chinatown retain whatever is left of any Asian heritage. That said, everything in this food hall is an Asian business, except for the Peruvian chicken stall - which unfortunately for me as a South American, was by far the least memorable stall, food-wise, for me. The best stall here has to definitely be the one serving soup dumplings. It's worth it! I would come back again for drinks (yes, there's a bar), to chat things up with friends, and for the soup dumplings if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Gaurish T.

Yelp
Some of the best dumplings I've had in DC so far. Ordered through DoorDash and was surprised by how good the quality of the food was. I have a feeling this place will get a lot more popular in the future when word gets out. 5/5 highly recommend

Pat R.

Yelp
Totally sketchy! Nothing like online pictures. Took one look & left. Wouldn't even order beer in a bottle! If I could give no stars I would.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Great soup dumplings, boba tea, ambience, and friendly service! The soup dumplings come as a sampler of 6 different flavors: classic pork, pork and shrimp, truffle pork (very strong truffle flavor!), chicken (least impressive), zucchini and shrimp, and mapo pork (unique and delicious!). I had the classic milk black tea (30% sugar, less ice) with oat milk and red beans (trying something new other than boba pearls), and it was good (but boba pearls are definitely better than red beans, although red beans are much healthier and have protein!). Very nice service.
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
I would give this place a 3.5-4 star rating. The service was good and I loved how there was a variety of different spots to choose from. I was starving from not having any food all day, so I decided on a poke bowl from one stall and some boba from the stall next door. The poke bowl was pretty good. Overall, I think it is a decent spot to grab a quick bite and a good spot for a variety of asian food to choose from.
google avatar

Dave N.

Yelp
How it took Chinatown this long to get a food hall is beyond me, but Luna Hall fills that void of... Asian food in Chinatown.... Maybe food hall is a little generous since right now there's only 4 options, and two of them are Kung Fu Tea and their affiliate chicken place lol. I love the dumpling place and there's Peruvian chicken that I haven't tried. Looks like a ramen place is in the works, but as of now isn't ready. Decor's pretty sweet - there's a bar, and plenty of couch seat seating. Lighting is super chic and is always a good time with friends. The only downside I will say is that that the trash cans are small. Normally wouldn't care but it's super weird that the lip of the cap is smaller than the dumpling containers - literally gotta Hulk out and crush the plastic before it can fit inside. At this point I'm only hoping it grows bigger and better. Luna Hall's a good vibe chat and now one of my go-tos for post work lunch!
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
The soup dumplings here were so tasty! Service was commensurate to it being a food hall. There is a bar and different kinds of seating from tables and chairs to comfier lounge chairs.
google avatar

Jenette S.

Yelp
Not at all what I though it would be like. We came for a graduation dinner and there were quite a few of us. It was a super cute spot but more lounge area than tables to accommodate the family. We had little kids sitting in lounge seats because all the tables were taken on a sunday night. Only half of the food stalls were open. Luckily the bar was open and we had the cutest sweetest server/bartender. Lots of fun things to drink at the bar and the food was sub par.
google avatar

Edward R.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying Luna Hall. But when I attended with my family for lunch on a Wednesday, I was really disappointed. Multiple storefronts were closed, and the food itself was mediocre. For one, the Cucumber Salad with Garlic was grossly under salted and none of us could taste a hint of garlic. It was basically soggy cucumber. The xiao lum bao was OK but not enough to make up for the closed options and the other poor food. I won't be returning, especially when other Asian foodhalls -- like The Block -- are so much better.
google avatar

Sherise K.

Yelp
Review for the dumpling shop in front... AMAZING. That chili peanut sauce is everything. The place itself is brand new, it's still in the process of opening other food shops. Definitely planning to visit.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this area later at night (at least for DC), looking for a quick snack after attending an event. To my surprise, the KFT and fried chicken place happened to be one of the few establishments still open. Unbeknownst to me and a group of friends, they were right about to close, but the staff was so incredible and really went above and beyond. The service was exceptional, and I cannot praise it enough. Although I was originally seeking a specific drink that I had enjoyed at a KFT back home, they, unfortunately, didn't have it at this location. However, the cashier was so helpful and provided me with a fantastic alternative recommendation. Having previously worked in the service industry, I understand the challenges of accommodating a large group near closing time, and I sincerely appreciate the staff's patience and kindness. The food hall was relatively empty when we arrived, and its interior was aesthetically pleasing. The decor was on the modern side and offered a variety of different seating options. The attentive staff seemed to anticipate our needs almost instinctively. I will definitely return to this place, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quick bite. Moreover, the prices are remarkably reasonable, especially considering the value offered, making it one of the more affordable options in DC.
google avatar

Cindee P.

Yelp
My family and I came to DC for a graduation. There were 30 of us so all the restaurants in town wouldn't seat us as a group unless we booked it like a special event, so we found Luna Hall. It was a great relaxing atmosphere with several food options. They even had boba and a full bar!! The bathrooms were on the lower level and seemed a bit sketch, but they worked. It was like going down to a dark alley.
google avatar

Angie N.

Yelp
I love seeing an Asian food hall in a popular area in DC! The soup dumplings here are definitely the star of the food hall. There's a great variety of flavors that you're sure to like. I really enjoyed getting the mix n match and found all dumplings to be really fresh and flavorful! You can't go wrong with all the food selections here though. Service is really great and you can tell that the employees work hard to ensure everyone has a positive experience. An overall great environment to try new foods!
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Some places aren't open yet like ramen, poke ninja as of 12/9/23. Cool place to hang and the bar has the games on. TKK was more of a fried chicken place. Was hoping it was KoreanFC.

Yelp
My friends and I love to try new food spots. Luna is located near, or in, Chinatown. We actually discovered this place by accident a couple of weeks ago while eating at an establishment that we were disappointed in. But this past Friday, we decided to go back and check them out. Since they're a food hall, they have a couple of food choices. Those choices are TKK Fried Chicken, Kung Fu Tea, Dumpling District, Pollo Aria, and a Ramen called Yasubee. We decided on TKK for our entree and Dumpling District as our appetizer. We had the chicken dumplings and they were quite good. Seasoned well and very flavorful. After that, we had the fried chicken. The chicken was good, but I'll say that Popeyes is better. I think it's a little better than KFC. He'll, the biscuits are KFC-esque. LOL!  We got the 6 piece family meal with two sides, which were mashed potatoes with beef gravy and cheese curly fries. After the meal, we decided to get some drinks from Kung Fu Tea. My friend had the Fruity Furry (I think that's the name) and I had the Oreo Slush. My drink was pretty delicious, but my friend said her drink was a little too sweet for her liking. All in all, I enjoyed Luna. Next time, I'm going to try Pollo Aria and Yasubee. The cons about this spot is it's mostly street parking. There is a parking garage about a block and a half away if you don't mind walking
google avatar

Miranda S.

Yelp
Went here for lunch & got boba and mala soup dumplings! Everything was delicious and I will certainly be back again. I want to come back during their later hours because the front lobby by the bar was very cool and had a strong city lounge vibe. Their space is also great for larger groups of people. This food hall includes a variety of places to order from, including a boba place, a ramen place, a Peruvian place, and a dumpling place. There are plenty of choices for food!
google avatar

Vivian C.

Yelp
Excellent new food hall! Great variety of food options: soup dumplings, Taiwanese fried chicken, Peruvian chicken and sides, and yummy vegetarian options (dumplings, Shanghai shumai, sides). The bar has amazing and creative drinks including BOBA SHOTS Don't sleep on Luna Hall!
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
The rainbow dumplings did not disappoint. I came early so there wasn't a wait, came out hot and fast. Plenty of seating and they were nice!

Olga G.

Yelp
Yassss please for the soup dumplings!!! So yummy!!!! My girl loved it, too. Next time we are back in town- we will be visiting!

Maddy _.

Yelp
My go-to. My fav food is their Truffle Soup Dumplings. The customer service is really great and the manager is really great and understanding. I love how accessible it is to the metro, and that it's in Chinatown!! The vibes are always great and I highly recommend a visit when you are in town!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
I'm still thinking about these dumplings! I visited here when they were doing a soft launch and can already tell this will be a special place! It's a fun place to grab a drink with friends or experiment with some different restaurants. Plenty of seating and great service.

Rory M.

Yelp
Luna Hall is one of my go to spots in DC. The customer service is fantastic. The staff is super friendly! There's delicious food right in the hall too which is incredibly convenient. The vibe is just super cool with the lighting and everything too. I highly recommend!

Caroline L.

Yelp
Luna Hall has been on my outings rotation for over a year now and I can't recommend it enough people who haven't been yet! Every time I go, I have an amazing time! Between the food, the drinks, the music, and especially the people that work there, the vibe is unmatched in the DC bar realm. the nicest bartender, the nicest bouncer. They are so creative with their drinks too, and I'm obsessed with their soup dumplings. Definitely pay a visit ASAP!

Yelp
Excited to see this new Asian food hall in Chinatown! Sleek, stylish, and modern with a lot of food options and plenty of seating. I enjoyed the soup dumplings, bubble tea, and Peruvian chicken. I'll be back to try TKK Fried Chicken, ramen, and poke bowls.

Madeline P.

Yelp
Tony the bartender was great! Stopped to check it out and stayed for the vibes. Drinks are creative at the bar and they have a variety of food too! The boba shot was great as well. They have a Gongcha, dumplings, and fried chicken!! Definitely worth a pop by.
