Went for the Wednesday all you can eat special. Started off great with a large plate but the plates after that were smaller and it look longer and longer to receive more which doesn’t lend itself to feeling very “all you can eat” especially with an hour a half limit.. I will say their food is good and the expresso martini was great. Wouldn’t return for the all you can eat but I would to try other foods. Our waiter was very kind and helpful as well.

Chill vibes, chill but professional and attentive staff. Even the bartenders on top of their game welcoming you as you walk in. Tends to be quieter and less busy during the day, as the evening sets in and the locals stroll in ready for the delicious drinks that the bartender whips up. The food is more than amazing, and its delivered to your table with such care. My favorite apps are the empanadas and the crab cakes, and my favorite entree is the Branzino with pesto mash 🤗🤤😮‍💨 you will it be disappointed. Every time I go I bring someone different with me and the reaction is the same…just delicious food, yummy drinks and excellent service.

I finally made it here for the mussels and I wasn’t very impressed. The taste was off in the white wine sauce and the PEI mussels were small. We also got the spicy rigatoni and not pictured were meatballs. The pasta and meatballs were good. The bartender did a good job with cocktails but service is slow. I don’t know if I would return but if I did maybe just drinks.

Awesome vibe! I went for brunch on a Saturday and the restaurant have live jazz that was really beautiful. For my lunch I got the expreso burrito. Omg! It’s delicious, the combo of savory and sweet is amazing, and my favorite drink is the st. Germain and juice with juice, such a refreshing drink with a touch of sweetness

We are big fans of this place! We’ve been four times now, usually around dinner time. The food is delicious and the service is super friendly, much more warm and personal than you’d expect. We’ve gotten the Detroit style pizza, meatballs, calamari, bruschetta, pasta (gnocchi), and Malbec to drink. All were noteworthy, excellent. The specials for the pizza and happy hour when we’ve gotten the meatballs especially make this place a no brainer to repeat visit. Their meatballs are especially good. We find that restaurants often over-salt their meatballs and we prefer our own homemade. But these are some of the best meatballs we’ve had out. The marinara sauce is also fantastic. Considering who their next door neighbor is, they are bold to highlight their pizza special. But I’m so glad they do. It’s pizza, but a completely different style than anything else offered in the neighborhood and a really nice choice. We look forward to our next, and each visit.

Google
Been to Luna quite a few times and I think it's a solid restaurant, with a few standout dishes, warm atmosphere, and friendly service. Been a few times for dinner and once for brunch. Their pizza is delicious, and such a good deal when it's on special for $10, but their espresso short rib (both the entree and the brunch burrito) is really what keeps bringing me back. It's honestly amazing. Their espresso martinis are also wonderful! Every time I've come, we've had truly great service and it's such a cute atmosphere whether you are there with friends/family or with a date. We've never had to worry about making a reservation (although usually, I just come with a party of 2). They also run a lot of weekday specials and happy hours where you can get some great deals!

Google
Came here for a small post wedding meal. Everything was excellent until the check came out. The restaurant up-charges if you don’t pay cash without notice. They also included an automatic gratuity. We were stuck paying a $20 credit card fee and they did not provide any flexibility or resolution.

Google
This place is a hidden gem. Delicious food, incredibly attentive service. My bestie and I enjoyed the bottomless mimosas for 28$while the boys had wine and cocktails. Super chill spot.

Yelp
Service was great. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the drinks were too.

Yelp
Great spot for a drink and a plate of pasta! Vibe: SUPER CUTE inside and outside. The patio was perfect for enjoying the warm weather and was covered just incase it rained. The inside was even cuter!! Lots of lights, vines and a moon projected on the wall. I felt like I was in nature and very welcomed. Service: it was also very good! Very attentive and was opened to our questions. Food and drinks: AMAZING espresso martinis. Mic drop. I could have 3 of those. For food, we got a side of sourdough that came with a tomato dipping sauce (so yum and nice surprise), the crispy Brussels (in the sides), meatballs (appetizer), the cacio e Pepe and the cavatelli with pesto and chorizo. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the Brussels were SO FRICKEN GOOD. The meatballs were also so moist and full of flavor...especially with their super umami tomato sauce. The cacio e Pepe was my favorite, very creamy and decadent without being too heavy. The cavatelli is where I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. The pasta was cooked well, but the dish was lacking some salt. However, when we added parm cheese, it was perfect. Also, we were slightly disappointed that it was shaved chorizo and not pieces. Maybe they can update the name so it doesn't mislead people. Would come back to try other pastas soon!!!

Yelp
I had the branding and the whole meal was DELICIOUS. The food also came out in a timely manner. Great experience all around!

Yelp
This place is consistently good! The interior is nice and they have a cool outdoor eating area. Sometimes they have a musician playing outside. The food is great. The pastas are flavorful and filling. The octopus is one of my favorite items on the menu the cocktails are consistently good as well!

Yelp
Luna is a delightful gem in Jersey City! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special date night. I tried their happy hour meatballs that were $12 and the truffle fries that were $8 and both were super good. The staff is friendly and Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We were on our way back from an event we attended in Jersey, and as we were heading back to New York, we decided to grab something to eat before crossing over. Everywhere we stopped had a pretty long wait, but then we found Luna--and there was no wait at all. We were wearing hats and were asked to remove them in order to be seated in the dining area, which wasn't a big deal to us, so we took them off. The place is small and cute downstairs. It looked like there was an upstairs area too, but we didn't check it out. After we were seated, the waiter came by, handed us menus, and took our drink orders. We got some waters and a beer. After that, it became a little difficult to get the waiter's attention whenever we needed something. Eventually, he came back to take our order. We both went with the double cheeseburgers--one with no onion. The prices were reasonable and seemed fair for the type of food and the nice atmosphere. All the tables were taken, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. When our food came out, it looked delicious. The person who brought it over--I think he was the manager--said, "Here are the double cheeseburgers, no onion." I asked, "Do both have no onion?" and he said yes. I let him know that only one was supposed to be without onion. He quickly corrected the mistake and even asked if I'd like the onions grilled. He took it back and returned with the fixed order. We started eating, and wow--the burgers were juicy and really delicious. As I was eating, I ran out of beer and was almost out of water--same with my friend. It took a while to flag down the waiter to get refills and to ask for ketchup (there's none on the tables). It was also a bit of a wait to get the check and close out--we had to keep trying to get the waiter's attention. Overall, though, we really enjoyed this little spot and would definitely come back if we're in the area again. We left full and satisfied.

Yelp
Went here with a friend after the Water Lantern Festival. Here are my thoughts... Atmosphere - sat in outdoor seating area, comfy seats Decor: fresh white flowers lining the wooden outdoor area, with ambient table lighting Music: none outside Food: Mussels (the white wine sauce was lacking flavor, the bread was the best thing about it), Penne Vodka (needed more salt and a dash of pepper), Rigatoni Zingara (same issue with Penne Vodka) Drinks: wine- standard Chianti; we also asked for water and it was served in a plastic cup which we thought was a bit odd Service - super friendly, attentive Good for - quick bite None of the food really stood out as amazing. Felt like each dish was missing something. We had to ask for all the spices we could in order to doctor our meals. All in all it was just okay.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Luna to celebrate my birthday which is at the end of November. The restaurant itself is very cute, with little touches of the moon as the name would imply, but at this time they had decorated for the holidays which really amped up the vibes! I am a sucker for some good holiday lighting and decor. The experience didn't stop at the decor, the food was great. We shared a beef empanada appetizer. The beef was seasoned really well so the empanada could have definitely been eaten on its own, but the accompanying sauce took it to the next level! We had a few choices for dinner that we couldn't decide on so we decided to order two of them and split them, this way we could try a bit of each. My husband ordered the New York Steak which was phenomenal. The menu states it is rubbed in a "hot and sweet" seasoning blend, and it really packed a punch of flavor! I enjoyed it very much and it was my favorite taste of the night, reminiscent of a Korean bbq sweet heat but different. No steak sauce needed, even for my husband who is notorious for asking for steak sauce even at the finest steakhouses. I was skeptical about the diced potato peppers and onions that it came with but they were delicious as well and complimented the steak. My order was the Rigatoni Zingara, they accommodated me by omitting the olives and this was a unique and flavorful pasta. I love that the pasta was fresh, a treat that isn't as common as it should be, and the sauce wasn't overly creamy so you could really enjoy all the flavors put into the dish. We had a great night and our stomachs were pleasantly full. Our waitress and the hostess were very friendly and attentive. We do not get date night often without our kiddo so we appreciated this home run!

Yelp
Beside being charge for a birthday cake being shared by me and my wife don't except anything complementary from LUNA wait the waitress came back and remove the charge to late I had to ask why are you charging me for a birthday cake for two Julian came to the table and show his appreciation to come to the restaurant

Yelp
Came as part of a food tour, and loved the pasta! This is a small business in downtown Jersey City serving delicious pastas - the meatballs and the bolognese were my favorites. I was also pleasantly surprised that they had holiday cocktails and the cocktails were strong! Very cute and service was good.

Yelp
Everything was great! I got the new pear ravioli which was so good. A great blend of sweet and savory. My fiancé got the seafood fettuccini which he enjoyed as well. We also split the arancini and coconut shrimp for appetizers and they were both unique and delicious.

Yelp
Luna has it all - Classy brunch, boozy brunch, tasty italian dinner, happy hour, mussel deals, you name it. The decor is great, seems to be an old bank vault in the back, lots of floral decor, lights, etc. Even a top section with tables for two, very cute. Sausage Egg n Cheese - WOW. The picture on the website's menu made me unsure about ordering this one, but definitely do not regret ordering (the menu's picture doesn't do it justice)! This is a sausage egg and cheese sandwich, where the sandwich bread is french toast, served with syrup and potatoes. The sausage (from dark pines I believe) is flavorful and delicious. They do NOT skimp out on cheese - You get a really nice cheese pull! Definitely a great dish if you want a little bit of everything for your brunch dish - Eat with a fork and knife!! Espresso Martini - The hype is real here; Definitely the best espresso martini I've had around here. The hint of vanilla really adds to it!

Yelp
First time in New Jersey and didn't know what to expect, this place hands down is fantastic. Made a reservation at 9:30 pm and didn't realize they closed at 10 pm, they were so friendly and kind and very professional and welcoming even though we kept them past closing. The food was amazing I had the gnocchi and when I tell you the price is too low for the quality!! And the experience was 10/10 I loved the decorations and the music was peaceful but enjoyable. Over all if I come back to Jersey I will be taking a stop by here again (this time before they close)

Yelp
Sat at the bar with my friend to catch up with each other. Love the chill vibes here and the espressos were up to par! Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
The restaurant was decorated very nice inside. The service was great. The food was amazing. We were asked if we wanted bread but didn't know we were going to be charged $4.50 for it, which we saw on the bill. But it was a lovely, relaxing evening.!

Yelp
Brought my wife there last weekend for a special dinner. I just saw this place online and decided to celebrate something special there with my wife. I did an early reservation and it was prompt. The service was attentive and accommodating during a whole stay there. The restaurant was amazing and well-built establishment. Wonderful interior setting and it gives an intimate vibe too. Nice decor and lively too. Excellent menu with pretty decent options. The food was super cool and very appetizing. The lobster ravioli and Braised short rib was 10/10 for me. It was pleasant flavor and good texture in every bite. My wife like the pasta so much and so creamy, noodless has good texture too. We enjoyed our night there so much. The coctail drinks were pretty amazing too.

Tried it for the first time last night and it was very delicious. I ordered the Cacio E Pepe and Truffle Fries, my top go to orders when I go to an Italian restaurant. Servers were friendly and food tasted fresh. I will def be back for happy hour w friends next time

Yelp
Luna is a solid Italian restaurant in Jersey City. The restaurant is clean and has a beautiful indoor and outdoor setup. Inside, you will find string lights and a view of the moon while you eat. It's the perfect spot for a date night or get together with friends. I loved this special added touch of the moon! The food is fresh and the wait staff is quite accommodating. I enjoyed my pappardelle pasta with shrimp and vegetables. If you're in the Jersey City area, check this Italian spot out!

Yelp
Luna is a delicious experience! Food is awesome! Service is awesome! And the complete Ambiance is amazing! A sweet experience!

Yelp
Not a bad spot. Service was great. Easy to get a table. Food wasn't bad. Pappardelle was very good. Mountain and sea pasta was just Marsala sauce with shrimp. Meatballs were okay. This place was overall good.

Yelp
I got takeout from here, and everything was delicious. Most importantly, they were able to make everything in our order gluten-free, which was important for our party. The Bolognese was extremely delicious. My only caveat is that it is quite expensive for pasta - each entree ended up being close to $30+
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
This place is absolutely beautiful inside with great vibes. It has both a cozy and intimate vibe to it. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well. I've been here a few times and each time sat at the bar when it was relatively empty. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. I've tried the short ribs, rigatoni and pear salad. All of which were pretty good. The short ribs were amazing but the gnocchi with it was average. The salad and pasta pictured below were good.

Yelp
Went to sit at the bar, there were a few seats open we were able to get in no problem, the ambience is great. They had the basketball games on for March madness and the food is a nine out of 10.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner with our daughter last week at Luna. We had parked at the PATH station to go into the city and were on our way back. I had the branzino, which was expertly cooked and they happily subbed some veggies for the potatoes to accommodate my allergies. The location is very convenient, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Been quite awhile since I visited this establishment and suggested stopping here with a friend on a Saturday evening. We got a table outside and the atmosphere of this place is still quite cute. I have ordered the mussels here before and they were outstanding..this time they were MEH. My friend and I both ordered pastas that were decent in portion but again MEH in flavor. I honestly was so confused about what happened here because we only enjoyed our meals after asking for salt and better to add some flavor. Our waitress was great but I wont be back here again.

Yelp
I recently went to Luna Restaurant because a friend recommended it, and we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. As we arrived, I overheard (in Spanish) what I believe was the manager telling the hostess to send us to the bar just because she didn't like how we were dressed--this was said before we even asked for a table. I speak Spanish, so I understood everything that was said. When we asked the hostess, she politely tried to convince us to sit at the bar. We agreed, mostly because she was very kind and we understood she was just following instructions. However, I couldn't help but feel discriminated against. It felt really unfair, especially since we saw plenty of open tables in the dining area. We came with good intentions and were looking forward to a nice meal, but this left a bad impression. I truly hope Luna takes this kind of behavior seriously and ensures that all guests are treated with respect, regardless of appearance. A manager should know better than to judge guests like that.
google avatar

Pete I.

Yelp
My wife and I dropped the kids off at Grandma and Grandpa's house and took the afternoon to ourselves. We found Lunas on Yelp and it did not disappoint! Great ambiance and amazing food. The bartenders were phenomenal mixologists. The meatballs were fall apart tender and the Shrimp polenta was a rich, smooth and silky delight!
google avatar

A'Yanna E.

Yelp
Not only did they have good service door to table, awesome live jazz music, but excellent food too! I haven't had meatballs this good anywhere. I also haven't had coconut shrimp this well done. Our food was amazing, our experience was amazing, the ambiance and crowd here were great. I couldn't have stumbled upon a better place last minute for an out of town guest. I definitely need to return! Go, enjoy!!!

Yelp
Luna is such a beautiful restaurant! The inside is intimate, fun, aesthetically pleasing and very romantic. My wife and I come here for date night when we're in JC and we are never disappointed. The braised ribs are Devine, the octopus is absolutely delicious; cooked to perfection and plated beautifully! The drinks are addicting, we can never order just one and the service is always on point no matter how busy the place seems to be. Coming here in the middle of the day is a great option for those who don't like loud noises or crowded spaces. If you're looking for fun vibes, great drinks and a good time, coming here for an evening date would be your option!

Yelp
We got a reservation for 6 adults and 1 child on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was very cute inside with 2 floors of seating. We ordered calamari and burrata for appetizers- polished those off since they were so good. Everyone enjoyed what they had for their entrees. I personally had the Mountain and Sea (also devoured it because it was so good). My husband had the cacio e pepe which he also enjoyed. Our server(s) were great as well. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Beautiful spot to have dinner, with twinkling lights and live jazz on Tuesday nights. They have various deals every day, including happy hour at the bar from 4-6pm on weekdays. I got the cacio w pepe which I wasn't too crazy about, but it wasn't bad. It was served lukewarm and I prefer my dishes a little hotter, but the pepper flavor was very robust! Filled me up enough, and service was very friendly. The menu certainly has something for everyone! I would come back here just for the live jazz and drinks!

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience at Luna this past weekend. Our server, Joyce was friendly and attentive . We started with meatballs and Arancini, both delish. I had the Branzino and my wife ordered the chicken Francese. Again, both delicious and the CF was enough for left overs the next day. I enjoyed several Old Smokey's while my wife enjoyed a couple of tasty margaritas. For dessert, we devoured a chocolate lava cake. We loved the decorative touches and the mood of the restaurant. Wish I took pictures!

Yelp
The aesthetics/decor/lights were pretty nice. The pappardelle tasted delicious with its deep flavors. There was an abundance of meat, but I got jipped with the amount of pasta. Not worth $28. I always have leftovers no matter how hungry I am, but I ate all of this dish. The sourdough bread (appetizer) came with a marinara sauce that was a pleasant surprise. It had a good consistency (not too watery) with a balance of the other ingredients. Disappointing part was how the waitress said it'd be 6 pieces (for the 6 of us and the only reason why we even ordered it), but only four pieces came out. The service was subpar. Because gratuity was included for parties of 6 or more, felt like she took advantage of that. Parking options were either street parking or nearby lots ($13 for 2 hrs). Random note: the bathrooms were located in a very odd space (by the front of the restaurant/right by the bar) which disrupted the functionality/flow, but not a deal breaker.

Deshawn L.

Yelp
I popped in here for a quick bite. We had the Brussels sprouts, ravioli, and calamari and we were pretty happy with all the dishes. Good flavor, good portions. The server was fantastic, very nice and attentive. The drinks were ok, but I did not try any signature drinks so perhaps my own fault for going rouge.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
Really nice place to have a date night. Food and service was amazing! Another plus is that the menu shows you exactly how the food looks so you aren't left guessing.
google avatar

Basma N.

Yelp
To be honest, I was concerned about coming here after reading the reviews. A lot of people said the service was poor and the food was bland. But I was pleasantly surprised! Is it the best restaurant in Jersey City? No. But the food was tasty and the service was excellent. I really loved the restaurant ambiance. It's three floors and we sat on the top floor. The lighting and decor is really calming. The music is quite loud though so if you want to converse it's not the best place. I personally didn't mind the music because it was good music and I was dancing in my chair the whole time. We started off with drinks I had the Northern Lights with gin. It was really strong but delicious. It had a nice basil and lemon flavor. They also make a mocktail version of this drink. We ordered the coconut shrimp to start, it was decent. The sauce that was drizzled on it was really good. But the actual shrimp was just okay. It was crispy but I think it lacked flavor. For our mains we ordered the churrasco which was skirt steak and truffle fries with a chimichurri dip and the fettuccine with grilled chicken. The mains were really good! They didn't ask how we wanted the steak cooked. My husband generally likes medium well and this was probably medium rare, so it was a little chewy. I personally would order it medium rare so I liked it. The fries were nice and crispy although I didn't get a truffle flavor. The fettuccine was delicious, the pasta was cooked al dente and the grilled chicken was amazing. I would absolutely order it again. As for the service, it was excellent. Our waiter, Karen was quick to take our orders, she was attentive and would ask if we wanted more water, more food, etc. and the food came out really quickly, despite being a busy Friday evening.

Richard H.

Yelp
Ordered octopus and short rib for delivery. Both dishes were terrible! The octopus pieces were tough and the whole dish tastes of char. Washed the sauce off the octopus and potatoes appetizer, threw out the cherry tomatoes and added my own balsamic glaze, unfortunately did not remove the char flavoring! The short rib itself was fine, the tomato marinara sauce it was in instead of the red wine sauce listed for the dish was unpleasant and the gnocchi were undercooked with some weird flavoring so I threw out the gnocchi and the marinara sauce too!

Yelp
Loved the ambience of this place on a weekend after work, to hang out and catch up with friends by the bar or a nice evening dinner! The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the location; we had reservations which were attended to as we arrived. The service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable on their menu items, which is important and surprisingly not always honored. Thank you for a great experience!

Yelp
Came for dinner tonight with a friend. It's JC restaurant week so wanted to check out a new restaurant. Made reservations on Yelp so that was super convenient. They have a deal for $30 any appetizer and any pasta. Meatballs- basic. Eggplant rollatini-our favorite item! So good but it's also hard to go wrong with Italian eggplant dishes. Ravioli- different..it was hard and tasted a little over cooked because the chicken is actually inside the ravioli. I wish they left it as just like cheesy soft ravioli with chicken on the side. But the sauce was good. Golden boy- really delicious vodka cocktail with vacation vibes. My friend got the Northern lights drink with vodka and she also really liked it. Disclaimer: drinks aren't as pretty in real life as they look in their photos... But they both tasted really good. I love that their QR code menu has photos of literally every dish they have. And the vibe of the restaurant is super cute. The flickering Christmas lights kind of got annoying towards the end though. Prices are kind of expensive. The apps are all around $12, the pastas start at $20. Single serve portions too, definitely didn't have any left overs. I guess Grove street rates right. Recommend? Sure why not Return? They had a lot of appetizers that sounded good, might want to check some new ones out some time!

Yelp
We held our wedding rehearsal dinner Thursday, September 19th. It was a great success with the food the service and a large part to Julian the manager and his team. From the beginning when we went to visit the restaurant and see the establishment we were welcomed and knew this was the place for us to hold our celebration dinner. The food was plentiful and delicious. They were accommodating to all of our requests to include people with allergies and children meals. The separate room was private and ideal for our 30+ guests. The food and drink service was coordinated with our evening schedule of speeches and a lot of picture taking . The head of the wait staff Tanim was excellent as was the rest of the team. They were cordial and responsive to our needs. Thank you for helping us start off a wonderful wedding celebration weekend for our daughter!

Yelp
I'll start by saying that it's really hard to recover from a bad first impression. We were sat in the "dining" room which is upstairs from the nice bar images that you see uploaded. After being seated and a minute passes, the hostess returns to our table to tell me that they don't allow hats so I'll need to take it off. Now I could understand if this was a fancy Michelin star restaurant (which I've gone to with a hat on btw) but this dining room looks like an Outback Steakhouse. Furthermore, I look around me and people are wearing sweatpants, sneakers, and several BEANIES. Bruh... I'm not seeing the logic. I don't mind taking my hat off but this ain't the place to have this rule, and it doesn't even seem like a rule apparently... No self awareness. The food is average to even a bit below average. Pasta was overcooked, and I kid you not...the flavors were identical to frozen pastas I've had from Target. I don't see the hype. I hate when an Italian place can't even cook pasta correctly. Like I could overcook pasta myself, thank you. I wanted to check this place out because I was tired of mediocre Italian food in Hoboken, but after this experience I'm thinking maybe I didn't have it so bad! Would not go back.

Yelp
Super packed but very cute decorations for Christmas! Burrata cheese I didn't think had much flavor, but I can counter that with the delicious bread basket and marinara sauce! I had the chicken francaise and the noodles served were so thin they were falling apart. It also was not very lemony. They did accommodate my having to push my reservation out by 15 minutes and appreciate that! I just wish the food was as delicious as I had amped myself up for.

Yelp
I went to Luna for my birthday dinner and the food was amazing. The service was excellent and also loved the laid back vibe. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This spot is nice! The parking? Yep, that ruined lol. Please be ready to either Uber or pay the public parking space because parking could be a giant pain in your eyeball! My friend and I had reservations, we so wanted to try their homemade pasta, everything on the menu looks phenomenal! I just wish their second floor on the back didn't look like a dungeon lol, they have a nice balcony space with flowers and I'm all about the decor and sitting in nice areas :), I mean come on! Anyway, we ordered some apple gin drinks and my gosh were they amazing!!! So fresh, so delicious, I could easily get drunk on one since I'm tiny bit so worth it. We started with fries with mushroom sauce, followed teriyaki and Buffalo wings (AMAZING). Then we continued to order pasta and I'm glad I did, it has been a while since I had pasta and this was the BEST way to break the ice. We finished strong with a oreo mousse cake which was the best choice we've made! Next time I'd like to sit in the second floor balcony, I need a nice picture with all the food that I most likely with crush!

Yelp
Drinks were flavorful and strong. Cacio e pepe was weirdly watery, bland, and overcooked. Rigatoni was also soft, definitely not al dente. Lava cake didn't have lava in the middle but instead had chocolate poured around it? Finally, the service was poor, but then the server deliberately "guided" (watched) us through paying our check so we had to give a 20% tip and so he could give himself 5 stars. He provided virtually no service, and we had to wave him down whenever we needed anything. We were also a little annoyed that after we sat down, the hostess told us no hats were allowed even though we saw three people adjacent to us wearing beanies. It's not that fancy a place to warrant an aggressive "no hat" rule. Overall disappointing, do not come here expecting good pasta.

Yelp
Came on a weekday evening- it was not very busy and was able to get the table quickly. To be honest I loved the food and the vibe of the place. We ordered Arancini( 5/5 ) ; penne vodka( 4/5 ) ; oreo mouse cake ( 5/5 ) Service is pretty good and the vibe of the olace is great.. loved the ambience- it is a cute date spot.

Yelp
Was my first time at Lunas. Ehhhhh .... I hate writing these lukewarm reviews but think this spot needs to hear. I wanted to like it because I heard good things but found it hard at every turn. Was quickly seated at the bar and had some friendly banter with the guy looking to put the NBA game on. Thank you to him! Had a beard and even came back to follow up after he finally changed the channel. Solid customer service. Star for him. Once he was gone, it went down hill. It took roughly 15 minutes for the female bartender to pay me any attention. There were six other ppl at the bar and I wasn't even acknowledged with a head nod or water until I pretty much leaned over the bar. Once I finally flagged her down, she poured me a glass of wine. After a few minutes of watching the game, I was finally able to order food. The food came about 15 mins later and I again had to flag the bartender down for some utensils and a water. She seemed new so I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I understand labor is experiencing some challenges right now so I only write this in hopes of Lunas making the necessary training/coaching corrections. Parking in the area can be tough but it's about a 5 min walk from the Grove St. Path Station. Very convenient for those who don't drive or live in the area. The scarpetta fries were good! Def app size. Didn't get any other food. I may or may not be back. Bars in this area are plentiful and I think I'd rather go somewhere else with better service.

Yelp
Such a great place for groups! I came here with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday and I have to say the way they sectioned us off from the rest of the restaurant was great - we were seated on the second floor and had a nice view of the front of the resturant. The drink menu is quite extensive and they have fun options to choose from. My favorite has to be the St. Germaine n' Juice which comes with an apple top and a metal straw. If you've read my other reviews you'll know that the only pasta I really eat is Penne Vodka and I have to say their sauce is 9/10 very good!

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience here overall. Our server was very friendly and the food was decent. We got bread for a starter, which was the highlight of the meal (seriously, the bread is amazing). I tried a fresh apple juice and gin cocktail, which was also really tasty and refreshing. The pasta, unfortunately, was my least favorite part of the meal. They were out of the particular pasta for one dish our table ordered, so it got served just with penne. I got the cacio e Pepe which was so overdone and mushy it reminded me of microwaved ramen noodles. Despite that, the overall experience at Luna was nice and I'd definitely give it another try.
