"Sharing a delicious pizza with your choice of toppings is only half of the fun when at Luna. While waiting for your pie, grab a basket full of games and puzzles including tic-tac-toe and Magic 8 Ball to play with at the table. End your family-fun outing with a treat, like an apple tostada or the classic chocolate chip cookie." - Brittany Britto Garley

Best pepperoni pizza in town! Pepperoni curled up like this just hits so different, so good! And also makes great leftovers too!yummy

I LOVED their pizza! They had amazing vegan options and amazing service as well

Google
Very good pizza! Surprised me. Looked more like a MOD or Blaze Pizza upon entering, but the menu was different. It was better and they used better ingredients without crowding a pizza with random things that don't belong. Certainly more authentic than a MOD or Blaze. Also the service was very good. I was concerned about bringing my kids but they were accommodating and even brought them some kiddie toys!

Super cute place. My mom kept talking about this place ever since she last visited. We recently came back to Houston and stopped by. The cashier was friendly and told us about their weekly deals. We got the large Margherita pizza and added pepperoni to it. They were generous with the toppings, which I was excited about. It looked and tasted delicious. Thanks for a great experience!

Google
First time. Great tasting pizza both the sauce and crust were perfect. So glad the sauce was not sugary like some other restaurants. I had build your own personal pizza and loved that price includes up to five toppings. I had chicken, olives, sliced tomato, red pepper, fresh basil). Choc Chip cookies were fresh and yummy. Staff attentive. Will eat here again.

If you want to feel Like you’re back in NYC, this is the place to go! As a former New Yorker, it tastes like a slice from Rays original! Service is excellent and ambiance is classic for the season Highly recommended.

Luna Pizzeria is my go-to for sharing a pie at night over a good movie. The flavors are excellent and expertly crafted to create an amazing pizza. The best part is there are many options even for the most outlandish flavor profiles. Enjoy it today!

If you like Italian pizza it would be a low rating. It is not fired wood made and the dough is ok. But, if you like American pizza it is around 4 stars. Pizza is $20 dollars, so it is a little overpriced for the price. The atmosphere is good.

Yelp
Great hospitality and plenty seating. Went on a weekend afternoon and it was quiet and peaceful inside! They did have a lot of take out orders :3 the bathrooms are clean and the drink station was always clean. There they have packaged bread sticks and the employees bring a small plate of olive oil with parm slices and other light spices. As for the pizza the crust was light and crispy and the roasted tomatoes on margarita pizza were aromatic and sweet. The pepperoni were the type that fold upwards and retain a crispy texture, its delicious with pineapple if one prefers a sweet and savory combination! I highly recommend to try this place out. I feel that the price is great for the quality. :3

Yelp
I didn't actually visit but had a pizza delivered from this place. It came on time and hot, so points for that. The pizza itself was quite good, price was fair, and all the toppings super tasty. If I were back in Houston, I would love to visit this place in person. Thanks for great pizza delivery.

Felicia R.

Yelp
Cute pizza spot with lots of options. They got a nice lunch special, and beer choices! We liked the half prosciutto and arugula/ half mushroom pizza. The large Cobb salad was perfect. Service was incredible.

Mark B.

Yelp
Man I hate dropping a 3-piece, but this place was just not it for me today. I ordered a large pie with 5 toppings for $23 - price was actually pretty damn good, all things considered. Got no qualms on that. I knew the food would be a little cold since it was delivery, and that's okay. My issue was with the quality of the dough and the ingredients. Crust had zero crunch and mad flop. Sauce was really average, and so was the cheese. Maybe I just got an off day? I also ordered tiramisu and man it was not great. I would probably give this place another shot based on price, but I wish I was more impressed. Again, maybe it was just a bad day.

Yelp
Great experience! I was searching online for a spot that had food specials for Mondays and they have "half off pizzas on Mondays". When I arrived after work it wasn't many people so it was a more private experience. I service was awesome has the staff member was very polite and informed me of the specials and options for my pizza. I got the 9" inch personal pizza (small pizza) around $15 but half off discounted $7.50 which allows five toppings and it's more than enough fit one person. You must order your food at the front then you are provided and number to sit down and they will bring you your food. They offer wine and beer which I think was around $5.00. The ambiance was casual and they also had a few board games or jenga. I didn't have my glasses on but it's a very chilled spot. It started to get busy at 530am but the orders seemed to come out within 15 mins. The only reason they didn't get five stars was because they are lacked a few toppings for pizza like banana peppers and they don't serve spirits. Overall worth stopping by and I will be back.

Yelp
Best Pizza I've had in Houston thus far (after living here almost 3 years)!! OMG, this pizza was sooo good! I got the mushroom pizza. I added Italian sausage and the hot honey drizzle- don't sleep on the hot honey drizzle! It was such a nice addition to my pizza that I've never had before. It added a sweet spiciness to the already rich and flavorful pizza. The combination of mushrooms, ricotta cheese, spinach, Italian sausage and with the drizzle. I don't know if I was just really hungry or really in love with the pizza. I must say, the ricotta and drizzle were my favorite parts. Loved the creaminess of the ricotta! Perfect end to my Saturday. Thank you Luna Pizza!

Shurwa K.

Yelp
Honestly, this pizza was pretty damn good. The cheese needed a little bit of salt and their Parmesan was pretty good as well. Otherwise it was a great pizza. Good crust, great cheese, good amount of sauce. 7/10

Yelp
As far as pizza standards in Houston go, Luna is perfectly acceptable (#1) and a reliable option. Located in the heart of Upper Kirby, it is considered the upper echelon of pizzas in the city. I've been able to dine here a few times at this point and give it a thumbs up overall. Located in the corner spot within a string of strip mall bizes, Luna is medium to small in terms of size. It's got all the intangibles of a date night spot but I haven't seen it that full, especially on weekdays. The young staff behind the counter is usually cranking out pizzas left and right, which means the food comes out piping hot and quick. While one of the biggest pros of pizza is takeout, I think most of the food here is best enjoyed while dining in. The pizzas are cooked via a broiler, which makes for a crispier bite. One thing I really love are the crispy and curled up pepperoni and think it's an must-order. I'm not terribly fond of the sauce or cheese ratio, but it's not a complete deal breaker. I also think that anything with prosciutto and the spicy andouille sausage are fabulous additions to any pie. One of the coolest aspects of the "build your own" pizzas are the fact that the toppings are unlimited. Lastly, the chili pepper + shaved parm as additional pizza toppings is quite genius. Apart from pizza, I do enjoy their salads, particularly the arugula and fennel, as well as their house caesar. I think their sandwiches are a good option, especially the hearty meatball or the sausage and peppers. The roasted garlic tomato soup is also underrated. Be on teh lookout for their lunch specials, which include a personal pie with a mini chopped salad is only $12.50 until 4pm. The prices are good for the area and the overall makeup of the place give me plenty of reasons to be a regular customer. _________ (#1) So as long as I don't compare to to New York pizza.

Rorick M.

Yelp
Ideally, I liked the pizza. Cashier was nice & brought us a plate of condiments such as red pepper, Parmesan cheese, some little greenery that I don't know the name of. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because I think 15 dollars is too much for a 9" pizza. But it does come with up to 5 toppings which is up to you to take advantage of. Fountain drink was clean and good selection. Seating options are good. Definitely something to try.

Andrew W.

Yelp
First time ordering here! They prepare pizza fairly quickly! The large one is pretty big and it seemed like authentic one We got mushroom and margarita ones and they were both good! :) Nice try if you are around! :) A bit pricey but it's worth it for the quality! Service is good :) Come enjoy Cheers

Maria E.

Yelp
I enjoyed the pizza here (take-out). The menu was straightforward with a few tasty signature pizza options plus the ability to make your own. I love that they have a personal pizza size -- that makes it so much easier. The mushroom pizza was yummy -- nice blend of mushrooms (wish it was more but mushrooms are expensive) and the whipped ricotta was delicious (and I'm not even a huge fan of ricotta). Also, the roasted garlic tomato soup was pretty tasty. My one note is to be careful with the vegetarian pizzas. There was a small piece of sausage that somehow ended up mixed in with my mushrooms. I had my fiancé try it to confirm (in case I was losing my mind, haha). I didn't mind (omnivore) but I can see how that would be a huge problem for vegetarians/Muslims/anyone who doesn't eat pork. I also wish they offered online ordering. The website told us to call for carry-out. Not a huge deal except it was pretty loud and the employee almost got our order wrong (we caught it).

Jennifer V.

Yelp
I'm probably just dumb but I didn't realize they offered a build your own personal pizza for the same price as their signature pizzas until now? I'm not sure if it was like this before. The pizzas have gone up to $12 though! They were very generous with their toppings (I got 10) and my pizza was delicious this time!! I ate only half and was full!

Jessica B.

Yelp
After months of having Luna Pizzeria on my radar I finally got to check it out! I stopped in on a Sunday night & was surprised to find the place completely empty (aside from the employees of course). I didn't let that discourage me and decided to still dine in. The person who took my order was helpful and nice, the food came out quickly and everything was delicious! We decided on a ceasar salad, the sausage & peppers pizza and a plain cheese pizza. The salad was huge, we shared it and still couldn't finish it.

Aryani N.

Yelp
I love Luna! The crispy pepperoni.... The cheese only, the one with arugula and Prosciutto! Thank goodness for spell check because I wouldn't have been able to spell prosciutto on my own! Whew need a glass of wine! Oh right! So I call in the order, pick it up in 15-20 min and pair with a glass of wine. On my own I can finish half the personal size. Great for sharing for two people. I wonder if they can add garlic to the pizza. Great spot! Dine in or out!

Evelynn M.

Yelp
This is a great pizza place if you're looking for somewhere laid back. I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating available. I can't think of any faults aside from the pizza being insanely greasy... but I don't think that can be avoided when making a tasty, cheese-heavy pepperoni pizza. I definitely want to come back when I am in the area again!

Diana C.

Yelp
Luna Pizzeria is a great example of higher end pizza, with bougey toppings (looking at you, prosciutto and whipped ricotta) for a relatively reasonable price. For 4 adults and 2 toddlers, we ordered two large pizzas. If you order the speciality pizzas, you can do half/half, which means you get to try more flavors! For one half, we did the mushroom pizza, which comes with 4 different shrooms, spinach and whipped ricotta. This was definitely one of my favorites. I wished they put a little more mushroom on the pie, but regardless, the pizza was extremely flavorful and the whipped ricotta's creaminess really shines through. For the other half, we ordered the sausage, red peppers and red onion pizza. This was my absolutely favorite. With flavorful sausage bites combined with the onion and peppers, every bite left me satisfied. You can never go wrong with build your own. The plethora of unlimited toppings makes this pizza potentially well worth it. Overall, not the best pizza in town, but if you're in the area and craving pizza, this place is solid.

Araceli R.

Yelp
The pizza is TOP NOTCH! We were driving around and just stumbled into this gem. I cannot wait to go back and try more items.

Shenique B.

Yelp
Ordered a large Build Your Own pizza ($23), via Uber Eats. Since I was allowed up to 5 toppings, I chose mushrooms, pepperoni, and andouille sausage. When the pizza arrived, there was ONLY pepperoni!! The pizza tasted good but I was very disappointed in the lack of Quality Control/Inspection!

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
One of the only places in Houston where the NY style pizza is done right. The large is $20 for literally any toppings you want and includes specialty pizzas that they have. The pepperoni curls up on the edges like pepperoni should. The pies are a little bit on the oily side but it only adds to the deliciousness of the experience - after all, is anyone rolling up to a pizza joint looking for the picture of health? (the correct answer is no) They also offer personal sized pizzas for $12 each. There's no upcharges for half and half or additions/subtractions. If you're looking for a specialty pizza with bit of spice - I highly recommend the Spicy Andouille as it's got a bit of a kick from the fresh jalapenos as well as delicious sausage. The wait once you order is not atrocious - something like 10 minutes. And there's plenty of tabletop games to keep you occupied. Parking is also relatively easy as this establishment is part of a large strip. If you want delivery I believe you have to go through third party apps like UberEats and Doordash. Calling ahead may not always be successful - I've had a couple occasions on which they were too busy to answer the phone. Service is extremely nice. They always offer you water while you wait and are amiable.

Bebe C.

Yelp
Good NY pizza, nice stone oven baked look and taste Easy access, and good friendly service Would come again

Sarah M.

Yelp
I love their pizza & salads. Fresh, nice portions & you get the quality you pay for. Caesar salad is amazing!

Jane B.

Yelp
This has been on my list of places to try for a couple of years actually. The service was super SUPER friendly & helpful in suggestions. You can customize all you want - no big deal! The basil is totally fresh & the parm is too. We had a 1/2 and 1/2 creation and the Cesar salad. The salad in particular was really good -not drowning & not to dry. The crust is a cross between hand tossed and flat crispy crust, I would say. We came late afternoon and my niece and I actually spent a couple hours there eating pizza having sodas and playing games. Now there's only a couple of kid friendly games - be warned. (Even if it looks like it might be ok for kids, avoid an ooops moment like I had & check it out first, just sayin'). There are several adult card games, so all in all it was a good experience.

Bradley L.

Yelp
Pizza ordered and delivered through Slice. They also use door dash and Uber eats. A fantastic deal of $20 for a large with all the toppings you'd like. I'll definitely go again. It was good at home but has to be much better in house

Nevaeh M.

Yelp
The pizza was amazing would definitely recommend the margarita pizza. Service was good loved the games available I do wish they had a few cocktails but hey a beer every now and then is prolly good for you.

Denalyn P.

Yelp
The best pizza I've tried here in Texas! 10/10 The service was amazing, the cashier was friendly & gave us suggestions to our liking. Family friendly, they have games all over the establishment so you can play and hang out with your loved ones. We ordered the spicy andouille and added pepperoni on top as well as ricotta cheese. We also (not pictured) ordered the Luna Caesar salad, one of the best Caesar salads we've had in a while! All in all, 10/10 would recommend & would come back!

Ondrea T.

Yelp
This place is small in terms of seating but clean and well kept. The large pizzas are big enough to feed 2 adults with about a slice left over. We had a pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. While I wasn't a fan of the sweet Italian sausage, the rest of the pizza was delicious. Good pizza, great atmosphere and cold beer...what more can you ask for?

Keith S.

Yelp
Hey Pkasters! First let me say my stars are only this low because folks said it was the closest thing to NY pizza. They set this spot up for too high of expectations. The pizza was good and they don't charge for extra toppings which is dope. But not close to NYC. It is a cool neighborhood grab and go spot and the people are cool. So check them out and tell them PK sent you.

Jose L.

Yelp
First but certainly not the last time I visit Luna Pizzeria. Pizza is freshly made, and you can choose whichever listed toppings you want at no additional charge. Cashier was friendly and recommended options and shared their wine special of the day. If you love pizza and ability to customize pizza however you want without the extra cost, be sure to drop by. We went in late September and I appreciated that they had already decorated for Halloween.

Fred S.

Yelp
So let me start with amazing service. Customer friendly over and beyond. They have a wonderful pizza. The original New York style crust was cooked to a crisp and fluffy edge. The gluten free cauliflower crust came in a 12" which was shareable. (This is a rare option). Sauce was wonderful and they have a great selection of toppings including prosciutto. When we were leaving that was the moment when I realized the gem of this place. They have table games. This place could not only be a great pizza shop. But for the relaxing game with dinner. That a bonus. So invite your friends get a pie or 4. And have a relaxing and fun evening. Yes that have individual sizes and huge salads as well. Sorry I don't have pictures but we ate it all.

Joan K.

Yelp
First time. Great tasting pizza both the sauce and crust were perfect. So glad the sauce was not sugary like some other restaurants. I had personal pizza and loved that price includes up to five toppings. Choc Chip cookies were fresh and yummy. Staff attentive. Will eat here again.

Melodi D.

Yelp
Really good spot for pizza in Montrose/Upper Kirby. You can either order one of their pizzas or make your own--can't go wrong with either option. The atmosphere of the place is also great: it's pretty trendy and casual, with lots of board/card games out for you to use. Definitely recommend.

Diem P.

Yelp
Great pizzas, the best arugula fennel salad and tiramisu! Great service! Super casual atmosphere but nothing casual about the food...everything we ate seems a bit elevated! Mushroom pizza had 4 kinds of mushrooms (baby portobello, shitake, & oyster), spinach, rosemary and whipped ricotta...with added extra Italian sausage, it becomes PERFECTION! I also highly recommend the spicy andouille.... So good! Arugula fennel salad was the perfect accompaniment to offset the heaviness of the pizzas. There is a good selection of bottled and canned beers (no draft!) and wines. And don't forget tiramisu for dessert!! Great staff - friendly and helpful! Will be back!

Tanveer S.

Yelp
Good pizza for a quiet family night. They also have a Pac-Man game by the entrance for the kids. Service was quick and effortless

Daniel R.

Yelp
Walking in you get the fast casual vibe. Order at the front and sit down. The vibe seems very chill and there seemed to be plenty of seating. I got the pizza to go. Boxes are sturdy and it was all warm when I got home. The pizza was ok. The toppings are all very high quality but the overall pizza taste fell kind of flat. The dough was a bit rubbery/chewy and there was no real crust just very thin. There could've been more sauce too. Overall it was an ok pizza.

Sofía G.

Yelp
Luna is one of my favorite pizzas. The margherita is delicious. Big chunks of melted mozzarella and flavorful sauce, perfect thin crust. If you add pepperoni you would absolutely die for it. Pair it with the chopped salad, chef's kiss! It's a good informal place to grab a bite or just take it to go. I have no complains about service, they are quick and super nice, taking orders and also bringing your food out!

Kiersten A.

Yelp
We Visited this cute spot for some pizza because we had it once before abs it was delicious! It was empty when we got here so we went right to the counter to order- 1 large pepperoni pizza, a chicken Parmesan sandwich (to go) and a bowl of Tomato soup (appetizer). The soup was good and the portion size was good too. The sandwich came out so i just boxed it myself no biggie but when we finally tasted it the chicken patty was burned and it seemed to be a cafeteria style frozen patty like the ones you got in high school, it was underwhelming. Now the pizza was tasty, my only issue was that it's extremely greasy. I remember this place being so good the first time so I'm hoping it was just a bad day. The have a pac man machine & other games you can play while sitting which I think is a great idea. And the lemonade is delicious!

Becca O.

Yelp
Went to Luna to try out their gluten free pizza, they have two crusts; I ordered the ancient grain but they have a cauliflower crust available if you prefer. I liked that the build your own option came with unlimited toppings!! The gluten free crust was good, but my personal preference is a less baked crust (on me for not requesting), the one I received was a bit too done for my liking but no change in rating as it's my personal preference. The mushroom pizza on regular crust is a thin crust that smelled great! Wish I could have tried it but my brother said it's his favorite from Luna. Hats off to the homemade ranch sides which were great and decent in size as well! Definitely recommend!

Yana A.

Yelp
This is my go to pizza place for take out. I highly recommend the pepperoni pizza with extra basil and fresh tomatoes. The crust is nice and crunchy and you get tons of toppings.

Mabel L.

Yelp
Good ambiance and a lot of games to play. The pizzas were decent size and a lot of content.

Ritodhi C.

Yelp
Luna is a local chain with three locations in the Houston area. They have six signature pizzas, but you can throw together your own with unlimited toppings. Though it's naturally at a higher price point than the Pizza Huts and Dominos of the world ($12 for personal and $20 for large), they have an impressive selection of premium additions including pepperoncini, whipped ricotta, and andouille sausage. We were lazy and went with the signature Mushroom and Prosciutto & Arugula. There was great flavor here, but I wish there was more ricotta - I would recommend heating it up (if cold) and smearing the ricotta over the slice so you don't get all of it in one overwhelming bite. The Margarita was decent as well. The crust isn't quite thin or thick, though it tends toward the former and is a bit floppy. I appreciate that the pies aren't super greasy and that they use fresh ingredients. Compared to the usual take-out pizza, Luna is a step above, even if it's not the most gourmet or earth-shattering thing ever. With this context in mind, I'll bump the 3.5/5 up to a 4/5.

HeBass H.

Yelp
This place is amazing the atmosphere always great the food is great We love their mushroom pizza. And fennel arugula salad

Kelly P.

Yelp
Very yummy pizza that came out hot! It was right by the Color Factory and so convenient. The two kids I was watching are super small and picky eaters and they both snarfed more food than I have ever seen them eat!

Timothy P.

Yelp
Delicious food and super cool vibes here. Not only was the pizza delicious, the service for newcomers was great. There are tons of games that you can play with your friends or date night and have a great time. Whole pizza cost about $30 and was able to go up to 5 toppings. Can even split it half and half. Definitely will come back again here soon.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
We do like pizza big time. So, the Luna Pizzeria has a variety of pizzas, and the staff makes an effort to be friendly. However, this time, our server was dreadful. We asked for two glasses of water. He carried them, filled the glass, and made a face. Omg!!! Has something gone wrong? Additionally, he neglected to bring our follow-up orders. For the food: What can I say, the pizza's crust was cooked to perfection. Crispy without burning. However, our pizza had very little marinara sauce, which left it tasting quite bland. This dish would be perfect if there was additional marina sauce and a sprinkle of pesto on top. The proprietors were gracious and cleaned up after patrons.

Ashley M.

Yelp
highly recommend! Really like this place. Everything we ate here was very tasty. The staff is very friendly, pleasant and always pours water. The atmosphere is also nice. I like that there is an open kitchen

Roma B.

Yelp
Ordered the large pepperoni pizza, had heard great things about Luna so was excited to try their pizza, however we were disappointed with the pizza. The pizza was very tough, chewy and overly oily. The pepperoni did not taste fresh.

Shannon D.

Yelp
Great counter service! The woman working the counter always makes excellent suggestions. The Chop Salad is the BEST! And the pizza is delish! Tho' I wish they would change up Slice of the Day from Pepperoni to something else!

kaner a.

Yelp
Literally best pizza I've ever had and I've had a lot in many different cities. So cheesy and flavorful, the toppings are good quality, pepperoni is so fire

Rob H.

Yelp
Love this place. Set in a "Cafe Style" setting, this place reminds me of my favorite NY Pizza Cafe where I used to Live in Maryland. They definitely use freah, quality ingredients, made mostly from scratch, and the pizza is, "Outstanding", just like that chewy, doughy, slight crispy crust with a delicate, strategic amount of seasonings and garlic in the sauce, finished with a real Mozzarella cheese. It really reminds me 100% of my fave back at home. The waitress was very, very nice, we didn't have a complete conversation, but she definitely did her job by making me feel welcomed and was attentive when needed(Daytime,11:30am, Oct 12th). I am actually going back in 10 minutes afyer I type this review, seriously! Thank you. LUNA PIZZARIA !!

Jason Z.

Yelp
Decent pizza in a good location! Located in the plaza next to Fat Bao / Kirby. Parking is readily available. We got two large pizzas with half n half and some Caesar salads. Taste is solid. The pepperoni and the arugula were probably the best tasting options. The crust is somewhat of a New York thin crust style and the sauce is good. Pricing is $18 for a large (one or two people portion) and they also have personal sized pizzas.
