First time walking into this bar was greeted by everyone such a great warm place to drink at the people and the employees are amazing! Especially Jeff that man deserves a raise he makes drinks like no other 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Google
This place is set up more like neighborhood bar instead of a micro brewery. It's kind of dark inside and decorated like a local neighborhood watering hole, were all the locals come to congregate. The food is limited to a few bar snacks, including some frozen pizzas. They don't have a good selection of their own beers, but they sell them for slightly less and they offer a more generous pour. So I was a little disappointed. But they do carry a very good selection of beers from other microbreweries as well as the big competitors. The atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly. The parking lot is big enough to accommodate a big crowd.

Google
Great beer and Malort selection. Divey, in a good way.

Kevin Jordan

Google
I’m still looking for a good clean west coast style IPA. They have hazy & fruity. I had the Moondance which was tolerable 🥴

Google
Everyone that works at the bar are family now. This is a spot that i will always enjoy. Make sure you tip if y'all can. Especially my boy Jeff 🙏

Nate W

Google
Cool brewery that has 7 brews on tap. They also carry other beers and liquors. Must try the Malort. With time trying it...apparently it's a Chicago thing. If you get hungry they do carry toaster oven pizza from Michael Anthony's...along with Chips and other snacks.

Justin Regnier

Google
Fantastic beer selection, craft beers from all over the world. Their own brews are great and they have a revolving selection of drafts from other brewery's. But, if cocktails are your thing, they have you covered!

Daniel Norfolk

Google
LBC has an out of this world dive vibe complete with a circa 1990s CD jukebox chock full of righteous records. The building itself has old bones with interesting stories to tell while sipping your moon juice. Their house brewed beers ain't bad either but they do have a wide selection of crafts as well. Count me in as a member of the moon patrol.

Yelp
Amazing place in Villa Park that just looks like a dive bar but it's actually a brewery. It may be a small one but they still have somewhat of a pretty good selection to choose from. Lunar has been here for a long time. Certainly there's not as much to choose from than at a bigger brewery but this has some really interesting styles and there's someone to please anyone. They don't have much food so if you're hungry you'll be eating bags of nuts and pretzels. Got here for the first time, so we checked out some of the locally made offerings and it beat expectations. It looks like a dive bar and we didn't see any brewing equipment so it made us wonder if beer is brewed offsite. That hardly would be surprising as the place seems too small to handle this. Anyway it's still good beer. We tried a few of the house beers on tap. I had the Imperial Black Ale. It's $6 a pour. This isn't quite a pint, and one reason is because most beers are pretty strong. It's an imperial black ale. This has a 9.88% ABV and is made with Belgian ale yeast. Another beer was even stronger and cost a couple bucks more. They only have a few of the house beers on tap. As for the food there's not a lot. Mostly bags of nuts and pretzels. It's $1.75 or so for a bag. The beers and nuts of course are the best combination. Come here for a beer. It also has a pretty good selection of hard stuff so that's nice. If you wish have a few plus basic snacks.

Yelp
Lunar Brewing is not just a local brewery, but it's a fun little after hours bar as well. They offer a crazy amount of beer option. That's a good thing, but it can also become overwhelming when you're trying to decide on what to drink. I don't think I've ever eaten here, so I think they more or less offer bar snacks. I've never had bad service here. Although you may have to order your drinks at the bar if you're sitting at one of the tables. The times that I actually sat at the bar, the service was obviously better. The servers know their beer menu and can hold a good conversation if it's not too busy. It's a great place to stop in and enjoy a pint with friends and play a few rounds of darts.

Yelp
Lunar Brewing Company is located in suburban Villa Park. My love and I would normally not be anywhere near Villa Park, but we tagged along with our friends for an eats-and-drinks excursion in the 'burbs earlier this summer. We stopped in for some drinks here, and there is an extensive list of beverages to choose from. The interior is plastered with all sorts of beer memorabilia and other random fun things. Check out Lunar Brewing for easygoing good times if you are in the area.

Yelp
My coworker and I decided to check out some new bars after work. Actually this was the last bar we went to so we were a little bit tired. I cannot give a full review but everything went well. The bartender directly came to us and was very pleasant. we didn't try the food. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely come again.

Yelp
My local fav! Craft beer, good prices, cool bartenders, fun but minimalist ambiance. It's like Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Too bad Ted Danson isn't there.

John L.

Yelp
Small and quiet, this is a gold mine for something a little bit different. Good beer and a fun place to try! Breweries could take a page from here.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying, this is more of a dive bar atmosphere rather than a typical brewing company vibe. While they do make their own brews, they are only available to go in a growler, no cans or bottles for purchase. With that being said, I enjoyed the Kosmic Kolsch on tap. Their patio is nice and shady, and despite being in a parking lot, still feels more secluded. Music selection was good, and the guys working were nice, I believe one of them was the owner possibly. I did end up having to run next door to grab cash from the ATM, since it's a $10 minimum on cards, and I was just stopping for one quick drink. Luckily there is a bank next door and a TCF Bank in the Jewel across the street. Workers were masked and masks and hand sanitizer were available.

Yelp
Lunar is a long time favorite! If you're looking for a friendly, knowledgeable staff, a huge selection of beers, and a Cheers-like atmosphere, you're home. The home brews are delicious and you're encouraged to try them out. If that's not your thing, the long list of drafts, bottles and cans should have something, or else the full service bar will. The bartenders will make suggestions and are very cool with requests. It's a little divey but that's part of its charm! I feel so comfortable and relaxed there, even when I've been alone, waiting on friends to join me. EXCELLENT COVID precautions. I feel very safe visiting. The owners have told my husband that they just want everyone to be safe and healthy, and they definitely back that statement up with their actions. In better times, they also offer entertainment, from bands to open mics to trivia and comedy. It's always a good time at Lunar!

Yelp
Lunar Brewing Co is definitely a dive but it's chill and I'm down with the atmosphere. I went in the late afternoon on a weekday so it was understandably pretty empty. The bar did have a decent amount of people seated around having some brews. When I went, they had 6 beers on tap including a blueberry witbier. Witbiers are my jam, fruitiness makes me happy, put them together and I'm as pleased as a peach. Peaches get really happy, in case you're unsure. I like the atmosphere at Lunar Brewing, their beer isn't half bad, overall it's a good time.

Yelp
Lunar beats any other "pub" or bar in Villapark. Great beer selections, dark and good for a friend convo. Never went packed, roomy, with darts. Go here after dinner at More brewing. My favorite in VP.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool bar to hang out in. It's dimly lit, decorated with strings of lights and tons of signs on the walls. They have a great beer selection from all over the country and the world. There are tons of beer to choose from on their menu. There is also a good selection on tap. The bartenders are usually very friendly and helpful. My last visit, I tried the Total Eclipse Stout $6 and it was delicious! It was thick and had oatmeal and caramel flavoring. Looking at the snack menu, I saw that they offer Michael Anthonys (located down the road) pizzas here. There is both an electronic and old school dart board towards the back on the bar. Just ask for the darts from the bartender. For those Golden Tee fans, there is one here. Also, a couple of big screen TV's inside. 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday - Thursday 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday - Saturday

Yelp
Gotta go when the Neil is on. Triple Belgium beer. I also love the Imperial blackberry and Christmas in the Caribbean. They sometimes have chili contest in the fall. Please support local businesses. I've been going there for 9 years and have made great friends, especially the staff past and present

Yelp
This a great neighborhood bar venue with an extensive and reasonably priced beer selection. There's a mellow low key atmosphere here, and it's quiet enough to have a nice chat with whomever you may be with, and while enjoying some very nice brews. No food here, so don't expect any. There's convenient parking right at the back, and they do take credit card fyi. You order your beers at the bar as there is no table service. There were plenty of tables and seats for the size of the place, though some of them are a bit away from the bar. I enjoyed on this evening: - Moondance IPA - Raspberry cream ale - Dark Horse Brewing Crooked Tree American IPA (Marshall, MI) The first two are brewed by Lunar and are amongst their signature offerings. My colleague and drinking pal had: - Kosmic Kolsch - Raspberry cream ale - Boulevard Brewing Tank 7 farmhouse ale (Kansas City) We enjoyed 'em all. I personally preferred the two IPA's I had over the raspberry cream ale, which was a little on the sweet side, but it was a nice to try anyway. Will try hard to make it back here someday, though it's not in the most convenient location for me.

John S.

Yelp
cool hipster bar. craft beer and fun place to chill. Old school jukebox inside that works. Selection of beer is top notch and they have a pretty good pizza too.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood dive bar. We visited late in the afternoon on a Saturday & the place was pretty quiet...just a handful of folks sitting at the bar. There were 6 of us and we sat around one of their side tables. We ordered our drinks at the bar and went up there whenever we wanted to order another round so I have no idea how their service is when things are busy. They have a large beer selection & their own house beers we tried were quite good. There is a little stage at the back so I'm assuming they have live music on occasion. The bathroom was clean and they have a big parking lot next to the building, both additional pluses.

Yelp
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Pump the brakes! My last review of Lunar (2010) is obviously outdated. Since 2010 I have frequented Lunar on varoius occasions and it's one of my favorite local breweries now. Raspberry Cream Ale is my favorite of their brews. It's seasonal so get it while you can! They also always have gumball head. Lunar is where I had Lindemans Framboise (Raspberry) Lambic for the first time and it's where we fell in love. Ha! I love that Charlie, the owner, is always sitting at the bar, throwing a few back and mingling with the customers. Nothing says WELCOME, like the owner kicking it back. I'm way overdue for a visit.

Kevin C.

Yelp
This is one of the last standing genuine dive bars left. The staff is friendly. It's clean but rustic. Would highly recommend

Yelp
Lunar is a neighborhood dive with upscale offerings that my friend Celeste S. turned me on to. I love it because I have never had a problem finding a seat at the bar and very rarely am I left with an empty glass in front of me. Bartenders (and brothers) Paul and Carl rock my socks. Both of them are great at giving good conversation and suggestions when you want to try something new or are looking for a brew similar to another you like. I think I've only ever been let down by a beverage there once, and they were quick to offer up something in its place. Perhaps what I like most about Lunar is that they are a full bar on top of being a brewery. Breweries, cocktail lounges and wine bars are cool and all, but having a wide selection of sips means there's a little something for everyone. It sounds like they get exceptionally busy on the weekend, but I typically pop in occasionally on a Tuesday and can't complain. They also have Malört ... Is that a pro or a con? I'm undecided.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
My favorite bar! Always a great time with great beers, great friends, and a shot of Malort with Chuck! LOVE THE NEIL ARMSTRONG.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
This is a bona fide dive that just happens to make beer as well as feature high end guest craft beer. Aside from its meek appearance, I knew it was a dive when the "steak guy" came in soliciting meat (NOT a euphemism). There's also a jukebox that still plays CDs. You don't realize how much of a throwback that is until you see one. Most bars upgraded to TouchTunes, or play satellite radio off some electronic device created from the same Asian suffering. You'll also find the patrons are seemingly NASCAR eccentric townies. Unfortunately, I can't wax poetically about their house made beers. They lack body, flavor, and often times don't taste fresh. I've tried the majority they have on tap and thought they were "meh". The silver lining is the quality of rotating guest beers from breweries like Firestone Walker, Clown Shoes, Founders, etc. I don't mind the divey atmosphere, and certainly don't mind the good beer offerings. Though it can be pretty dull, Lunar Brewing is okay in my world.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is pretty awesome! To me Lunar is where great local brews meet fantastic local music. Came here with my Mister for the CD release party of our friend's band, Mind's Hideaway. I had the Mango Lunar brew because they said their Rasberry and cream brew is only served in the summer which was a bummer, but I must admit that the Mango didn't disappoint at all. It was very good indeed. They also have a very extensive list of other beers as well like Lagunitas IP Fukin' A; beers from the ska brewing company, and many more I won't bore you with here. It's kind of like Quencher's for the surburban folk if that puts it into better perspective. Plus, you can take home a growler of your favorite brew, if you so choose. So, come on over and listen to some good music along with your favorite beer, but eat first because their food menu is lacking.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
My favorite bar in the area. The staff and owners are all very helpful in helping you choose from their large selection and will let you try before you commit to a full pint of something. They often have bands but luckily they keep the volume to a point where you can still converse if you aren't right on the stage. We've been there until closing many times and I'm sure this will not change. I love Lunar!
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
After 12 years of living in Chicago, I had to move out of state before I discovered this place. A friend had us meet him there and I was a bit skeptical at first but was not disappointed. This place feels like a dive bar but has damn tasty beer! Lunar has a few of their beers on tap and an impressive guest list along with guest bottles. I always like to drink the in-house options when I'm at a local brewery. They are also unique in that they serve liquor/cocktails. The Imperial Blackberry Cream Ale and the Kosmic Kolsch are two of my favorites but I would definitely try whatever they have on tap. It's nice and dark in here but still a great place and unpretentious place to hang out.
google avatar

Thomas S.

Yelp
This place brews some amazing Brews, IPA's, Stouts, Ale's. The do small batch brewing, so their beers are always fresh. My favorite is the Raspberry Cream Ale........or maybe it's their IPA, it's really hard to pick just one as they are all excellent. They also have a large number of "Guest Taps" that enable you to sample beer from all over the country. In the Cans and bottle department they have at least 70 different beer to challenge your taste buds. On week days it's quiet and cozy and on the weekends there is a nice crowd to get lost in or meet new people, I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I was working out of Illinois today and had a few hours to kill before my flight left out of O'Hare. A quick search for breweries near the airport lead me to Lunar. Boy am I glad! Beer: they not only serve excellent house brews, but they've got a tap and bottle list that reads like a best-of article for local and imported nectar. My favorite was the porter, a world class example. The white IPA and the barleywine were also fantastic. Food: no kitchen, but Pops Italian beef delivers... And is awesome! Ambiance: great, fun, and knowledgeable staff (Paul?) and a real local neighborhood feel will make this my regular stop any time I come back to the Windy City! Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the best bars in the Chicago suburbs. The beer menu is elite and so are the guest taps. You will be able to have hard to find beers that other places simply won't have. For example a Duvel Triple Hop. Hard to find a bar that has that. Excellent bar tenders and Atmosphere. Plus they brew this beer Called "Neil Armstrong ale" that is one of the best beers in existence. Always recommend this place.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
I came here for the first time on Halloween with two friends (regulars), so my experience is probably not representative of the typical time you'll have at Lunar. The owner will probably not be wearing a Don King wig, your beer most likely won't be served by the cast of "The Big Lebowski," and your fellow tipplers probably aren't going to be a tap-dancing zombie, slutty Dorothy (we're not in Kansas anymore...), Boy George and Prince. I was still able to see beyond the costumes and the cobwebs to discern that Lunar is a friendly little local place with an easygoing vibe, which does not translate into "rathole" as is often the case with local, easygoing bars. Clean, well-lit, seemingly lots of regulars (my friends among them). A band played classic rock and oldies covers for part of the time we were there, but it wasn't so overwhelmingly loud that you couldn't talk if you were further from the stage, so that was a plus. Lunar brews 6 of their own microbrews, and then offers a variety of other beverages, including ciders and beers on tap and in bottles. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the raspberry cream ale, which I enjoyed; the raspberry "nose" became more prominent as the drink got closer to room temp. Lunar is far from me, but I would certainly return with my friends. If you're looking for a casual vibe and a good drink in the west suburbs, shoot for the moon.

Yelp
Its a old time old man bar! It's a hipster hangout paradise! It's a live music bar! It's a craft beer bar! it's just a local neighborhood hangout! Whatever it is to you- you need to love that the owners didn't tear out the old bar and its charm to make something slick and fake. great place to whittle away a weekend afternoon with good friends and everyone should experience it. But not all at once, that would ruin the charm
google avatar

Ali S.

Yelp
I enjoy coming to this low-key brewery. They always have a huge variety of beers on tap and bottles, and of course, their home-brews are just as good. LunaR does serve food (not many choices to choose from) and they accept delivery of any other food chain / restaurant to their bar. There are several high-tops to sit at and there are 2 dart boards to play around with. There is also a decent size stage for bands, etc. to perform on. I personally host a monthly drink n' draw at LunaR and all 20ish people fit just fine around the stage for the models to pose on. It's rather dark inside, which is fine by me. The parking lot is small, so if you can't find any curbside parking, I would recommend parking at the bank's parking lot literally 20 feet away. I have never been to LunaR during the weekend, usually during the week, so I'm not sure if it gets packed. The crowd that comes here is extremely diverse, which I'm fan of. Put this brewery on your list of to-do's! Good for family or friend gatherings for sure.
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Gem. Great comfortable dive bar feel and atmosphere. Good draft beer on tap, including their own.

John S.

Yelp
The only reason it doesn't get a GREAT is because it is an old-school bar, and I have to be honest that I KNOW some people won't be happy with that. Besides, if everyone showed up, I wouldn't have a place to sit. No loud music, no dancing (unless you really want to), and it's not flashy. It's a neighborhood place, with a fair amount of regulars. There's a genuine wood bar, and refrigerators that are somewhat antiques. The bartenders are good people, and one of them is a beer genius. He keeps the place stocked with the finest outside beverages. Inside, the brew master is hard working and knows how to keep up the quality of the pub's custom offerings. Grab a Moondance IPA, kick back, and pick up on the buzz of what's going on in town. Talking, drinking and relaxing are all gratefully supported. They even do reservations for gatherings, and other special events. Just ask the man in charge.
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
Went recently for a vent session with a girlfriend. My Rasberry beer wasn't on tap but a blackberry beer was and it was awesome!!!! God, I love this place.
google avatar

Alec N.

Yelp
Staff was very nice. Cool to see a brewing company invite guest brews for enjoyment of anyone who could walk through the door. But the beer was not that out of the ordinary. I had the Stone Delicious IPA and it did not taste any different then any other generic liquor store IPA I've had. This place is also a little pricey and the older crowd was not incredibly friendly. I would not expect to voluntarily find myself back at this bar but encourage others to give it a try.
google avatar

Meg r.

Yelp
So wonderful! Great music and the Imperial Blackberry beer was so delicious! I only wish I grabbed a growler before leaving. It's true, no food, but across the street is a place you can order a pizza and walk across and grad it to go. Nice to find a bar 25 out of the city that actually has a GREAT beer selection. I will be there again and again.
google avatar

Cyn P.

Yelp
I've been here a few times with friends... it's local to me and the prices are fair. The bar keeps are pretty friendly and describe the brews patiently and offer recommendations to fit taste preferences. Very nice assortment of crafted beers as well as locally brewed. ***Lunar brewing has a new sign hanging above the front door with large black letters. I do kind of miss the very faded sign with the moon overhead but it made finding the small place a little challenging.*** Congrats on the new signage!
google avatar

Richard C.

Yelp
If your looking for that old corner bar look no further. Lunar brewing has been around a long time the staff is great the people are friendly. They have live entertainment on the weekends from blues to jazz to rock . They have brewed there own beer since it opened there are to many to list I'm sure if you go you will find one that pleases you and the prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Excellent selection of bottled and draft beers, as well as a selection of several house-made taps. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and helpful. Great time for a novice beer person willing to explore something new or a experienced beer connoisseur venturing out. In the couple of times I have visited, I have tried some great new porters and stouts and have quite awhile before I even get close trying them all. It's more of a neighborhood dive type place, like one would expect closer to the city. Clientele is very mixed, and is open and friendly to newcomers.
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
This place has changed hands and I had a chance to check it out with some friends recently. They don't have the same variety of house-brewed beers that they used to (which was a big draw for me) and the beloved foozeball game was nowhere to be seen. Despite the changes they were still packed with a good mix of hipsters and locals. It was still an ok experience but just not the same Lunar experience I remembered.
google avatar

Nate L.

Yelp
A dive bar with flavor! Came here after sending some lead down range, it was Friday night and place was semi-full with a lot of regulars in their respective groups. For being a dive bar, this place has a massive beer selections (including their own). Their raspberry ale was pretty good from what my lady friend told me and their stout was also good. Pretty cool place. I'm sure I will be visiting this place often, since I'm only a block or so away.

Jack H.

Yelp
Almost Perfect The guest selection of beers is mighty. Nice variety of snacks and you can order in from the area restaurants. Charlie-the owner is swell, Chuck-the beer orderer keeps the top notch beer selection rotating, some say Carl is the best bartender of all time, and ooooo that sweet Mark Bailey. Jon makes the local craft zing. Even the friendly neighbors are first rate!
google avatar

Rich C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places. The staff is very friendly and give detailed descriptions of the beer they serve. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Spencer L.

Yelp
Went there for the first time and loved the divey atmosphere, which is much different from most breweries you go to nowadays. I only had time for one beer, their farmhouse cow, and it was delicious. $10 minimum for credit card, so I had to go next door to the bank, but other than that I'm definitely going back in the future.
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
Lunar brews their own beer, but if that's not good enough for you, there's a long list of draft, bottles, and cans, AND a full bar for you too. I stuck with Lunar's brews to start. Their "Ginger Ale" and Raspberry Cream Ale are outstanding! My friend said Lunar has been in this spot for many years, so this isn't just another craft beer bar popping up during this craze. Lunar is OG! The interior is dive-esque; it's dark, the tables and chairs are basic, there's a dart board, and the bathroom is decorated in candy pink 1950s tile. But it is comfortable, inviting, and there is enough seating for medium-sized groups. Lunar does have a bar menu, so I was surprised that they allow you to bring food in from other establishments. They gave my friend a stack of menus for local businesses that deliver food. They do accept credit & debit cards, but you need a $10 minimum, which isn't hard to do.
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
I think I found my new favorite place to 'drank in the burbs. Lunar Brewing has something for everyone. Not only do they have their own beer on draft, they also have beer from other breweries and a full bar. If you're hungry, they'll be kind enough to give you a menu (or 50) of places that deliver. I also found out later in the night that they do sell pizza too. On a weekday night, there were a handful of other people in here. Mostly little groups of people, but a few people at the bar also. There's a few games along the back wall, but I didn't get to inspect them too closely. If you're coming to Lunar, I recommend trying their beers. I tried the ginger and raspberry ones. I really liked both of them, but the raspberry was my favorite. Everyone in our party had a great time drinking and chilling. I know I'll be back soon.

Danielle S.

Yelp
Lunar is like "Cheers." You feel like everybody knows your nae when you walk in. Not only do they brew their own beers, but they have other beers on draft as well as a full bar. They don't give tours of the brewery. The first thing we noticed was the fact that we felt like we went back in time when we walked in. The bar is worn, with the stain rubbed off from the many elbows that have leaned against it over time. There is an old jukebox with some (now) classic hits. I love it! I wasn't a huge fan of their original brews. They need a little more variety. But the bartenders are super friendly, and it was a great place to hang out. They have live music on certain nights, and it is decently priced. I would come back!
google avatar

Coq R.

Yelp
Lunar Brewing Company!!! Ok, they make their own delicious in house brews and have a ton of others on tap. It's a great spot to kick back and just hang, unless there is a band, if there is a band it's gunna be loud as hell!! They made a "Cherriots of The Gods" over the summer that was by far the best beer I have ever tasted that showcased the perfect essence of tart cherries I have ever tasted!! It was not just delicious and tasted light but I believe it was packing nearly 9% abv. Their offerings run the full gamut of expected brews and some of their in house action will really surprise you. Two words Neil Armstrong!!! Give this place a shot! I love it's within walking distance to my pad!!

Yelp
This is a great combination of brewery meets dive bar! The beer is great and the atmosphere and people are welcoming. America needs more place like this. Back in the day they were everywhere and now they are dying out. Stop by and have a Lunar beer or cocktail and talk to some locals, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Looks like your typical dive bar from its appearance, but it actually is its own craft brewery, and features a very extensive draft and can/bottle selection, moreso than I usually see. I tried their moondance IPA and polaris porter. They were good but not great. I'd go back just to try their bottle selection. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty low key and quiet. Has its own parking lot too

Yelp
Lunar is a Stellar bar that's very near the heart of scenic Downtown VP. Okay, now, if you know me or anything about downtown Villa Park, you're probably thinking about how funny I am with my clever astrological pun and the facetious nature of the description of "downtown" Villa Park. Moving on... This is one of my fave bars in VP and they've certainly earned the title of best beer selection in town. They have lots of craft brews that you can get on tap and or in bottle, and they brew some of their own beer. It's dimly lit, and despite looking a little (okay, a lot) dilapidated, the chances of you getting shanked here are highly unlikely... which is something the neighboring bars can't boast. I'd gladly give Lunar 5 stars if I weren't so lazy and if they didn't make me walk an eighth of a block to get from the parking lot to their door.
