Wow!!! What a place, the food was absolutely outstanding, the mocktails are lovely and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the staff are all very well turned out, smart uniforms brilliant service all around. I highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area, on a Sunday they have a lovely market to walk around outside before or after you go for your reservation. And not forgetting the lovely shops and showrooms they have around there. Perfect location 👌 and the decor is so fun!

We visited Lunar to celebrate mine and my husbands birthday in early January and had a fantastic lunch. We were very impressed in the style and background of Lunar for the different rooms with a particular interest in Darwin’s book and the enjoyment it held. Fantastic cocktails, fantastic food and incredibly attentive service. There was a good range of non-alcoholic cocktails and wines which was greatly appreciated. We are very keen to come back soon.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were absolutely top-class, warm, and attentive. We were even treated to an introductory talk about the impressive history of Lunar, which made the visit even more special. The place itself is stunning — the décor beautifully compliments its story and adds to the atmosphere. The food was simply beautiful — full of flavour and presented to perfection, truly 5-star quality. We will definitely be back!

We visited for Burns night. The food was excellent, staff very polite and efficient. There was a bag pipe guy who was very good and excellent reading about Robert Burns poetry.

I was in need of a special venue for my partner s birthday. In searching Google I found this Restaurant, I read all their awards and reviews, but despite how good they ere , nothing prepared me the the unbelievable and truly amazing experience. I have many food intolerances and dietary issues. I rang the restaurant it was engaged. Then 5 mins later Lewis rang me back. ( already impressed). After discussing my needs I was reasured, and i booked our reservation. Then 2 days prior I emailed and I asked for special treats for my partner. Cocktail on arrival. Wine already opened and breathing. We got the best table. There was a birthday card ready. The staff greated us so warmly, we felt like royalty. Everything was perfect. On sitting down I noticed the cloth napkins, already quality. Then the Crystal wine glasses. The quality of these were outstanding. Each crystal glasses was over £200 to buy and we had them at our table. Then the plates... only best Wedgewood China. OMG I was extactic. We were blown away. Such quality. Then the Zoe mattress d, came to talk me through my dietary options... I was completely at ease and felt safe in the food choices and ingredients were not only safe for me to eat, but there was a great choice. I did not feel like the awkward guest. Nothing was too much trouble, the chef enjoyed the challenge and when the food came out. The presentation was amazing, the wedgewood plates complimented the food. The taste... well im salivating again just seeing our photos. The food really is second to none. It really is amongst the best we have ever had. The restaurant is divided into seperate spaces. Plenty of space for events, wedding venues or quieter areas for mothers day. A private and luxury entertainment s room is just luxury and tucked away. A romantic meal... any and every occasion can be celebrated here. The attention to detail in decor, matches the details in the food, the plate, the glasses, the service. Its a must on your destination cards. Thank you so much Lunar. It is no wonder this restaurant and chef have rescieved the recognition and awards that the hotel industry have given. Lunch at Lunar with two girlfriends yesterday and it was such a lovely atmosphere. Gorgeous food, great cocktails, and really attentive service. We didn't realise until the end of our visit, but it's an art gallery too!

A gem in a lovely setting. Very nice traditional British pub / bistro food, done in-house from fresh ingredients, at affordable prices, in an arty venue, served on fine Wedgwood tableware. Our server Yasir shall be commended for his friendliness and attention to detail, too! Would highly recommend.

A special mention goes to our server, Sam, who took excellent care of us from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive—Sam made our visit even more enjoyable. Lunar strikes that perfect balance between fine dining and relaxed charm. We’re already looking forward to coming back—this place is a gem in every sense.
