"Lunar’s is on a street with several other pho joints, but this is the one you want. Why? It’s their luscious beef rib pho, which comes with two massive, meaty dinosaur bones stuck defiantly in the middle of your bowl. It’s a spectacle to behold, and especially once you see the tender meat slide into the soup the second you touch the bones. Steak and ginger pho, served with a Chinese doughnut and cilantro in place of basil, is another unique item — the steak in the soup is rolled around superfine matchsticks of ginger that gradually gingembrify the whole bowl. Don’t forget a buttery slice of housemade banana cake for dessert." - Meg van Huygen, Sue Kidd

"Lincoln District’s Pho Dragon offers all of the classics in a snug, well-lit dining room with a deli-counter-meets-pool-hall vibe. The menu also features pho with meatball and shrimp and some harder-to-find Vietnamese offerings like thinly sliced smoked veal, a salad of chicken feet, cabbage, and ginger, and spicy bun bo hue, which comes with dark, velvety hunks of congealed pork blood and generous cross-sections of hock." - Charlotte Muzzi

We went to Lunar's Pho on a cold winter's day hoping for some delicious Vietnamese food and we scored!! It was our first visit and we really only have high praise for all the dishes we tried. We ordered the Eggs Rolls ( Note: We asked for the peanut sauce to try with the Egg Rolls. Dish normally comes with a different sauce but that's how we roll some days), Meatballs Pho and the Shrimp Fried Rice. All the dishes were very flavorful and quite satisfying! To finish off our meal we ordered the Banana Cake- which was fire!!! So insanely good, I wished we'd ordered one more to take home. Great service and a very pleasant vibe inside. Overall, we loved our meals there and give them 5 enthusiastic stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yummmmmmm! I love a good viet place that isn’t just serving steak pho and summer rolls. I went on a Sunday night and you could tell that they just had a large party leave so we’re in the weeks. I saw a few people get impatient waiting, but don’t think the wait was that bad. The sugar cane egg rolls were delicious - the meat was different than I expected, but delicious. Bun Bo hue was also delicious. Rich broth, nice level of heat, all the yummy types of meat. The pho was sweeter than I’m used to, but great depth of flavor. Definitely will be back!

One of the best ways to know that you're eating scratch-made food is the broth. I ordered the wonton noodle soup, and when it arrived, I could tell by the fragrance of the herbs and spices that I was in for a treat. The broth tasted like it was crafted for hours and seasoned just perfectly. I confirmed with our server that it is a family-owned restaurant using family recipes. Delicious! The tofu salad rolls with their homemade peanut sauce delighted us, and the veggie/tofu vermicelli bowl had great flavor. Note that it had a little spicy heat to it, so tell your server if you want something a little more on the mild side. A must-visit restaurant!

Google
Delicious! And no stomach upset or msg! ☺️ I have a sensitive stomach but had no issues here despite bad ratings due to peanut allergies and undercooked egg. That’s why they don’t serve it anymore apparently. Recommend the brisket pho, fried vegetable egg rolls, chicken wings with fish sauce, and grilled chicken rice plate!

Google
The spicy wonton are to die for & The ginger beef pho is by far the top tier (knowing the health benefits when eating ginger). Im very selective where I get pho and finally I found place since my old favorite “Thuy Pho” on pacific moved 😩. Authentic broth, hand made, family friendly & original.

It was our first time here. We usually go to the Hong Kong market across the street. The atmosphere and service here was great. They have music and we got to watch Dr. Strange while we ate lol. Tonight, we ordered crab rangoon and oxtail pho. The rangoon tasted home made. So yummy! The pho was really good. This place is definitely worth checking out. We will definitely come back to try more food :)

BIG RIB FANCY PHO! Family owned joint, warm and welcoming environment. Pho broth is authentic and tastes superb. Go for the Rib Pho you won't be disappointed. Honey Walnut shrimp made fresh to order, delicious! Come support this local business and spread the word!

Best bowl of pho in Tacoma. Partner had oxtail and steak pho, tender, cooked perfectly and easy to eat. I had steak and brisket -classic and delicious. Broth was SO good. Great service. Simple and clean interior. Highly recommend!

Yelp
There is only one dish I order regularly from Lunars- but probably important to note that I am extremely picky about restaurant food. I bristle at the thought of ordering out what I tend to make better or more frugally at home. That said, I've had a lot of pho. Phenomenal pho and mediocre pho. Cold or hangover, even bad pho can get the job done. But Lunars Steak and Ginger (Hanoi) pho is TRULY elite pho. After finding this, I dont bother with anything else. The broth is absolutely perfect as is- and doesn't need any tinkering, although I always do about halfway through my broth (force of habit, I guess, but really it's NOT necessary). This dish is pure genius, skill, and love. I'd heard a rumor that the owner had once done a bubble tea thing - and if that ever happened again, I'd be first in line. If youre looking for a perfect pho, the Hanoi is it: look no further.

Yelp
Great spot, perfect for the cold weather and amazing flavor from both the pho and rangoons already a favorite gem of ours very chill vibe and friendly staff we went on a Friday night, around 5pm able to get seats immediately

Bobby O.

Yelp
2nd time in here. We have only had the Bahn Mi but they are super delicious. Service has always been great. Restaurant is clean and well lit. Hidden little gem in the Lincoln District

Yelp
So ordered take out here and was the first time ordering their fish sauce wings. I took a bite out of these wings and the meat on the wings turned into some sort of grainy mess. I spat it out immediately and looked around to see what it could of been. I thought it may have been me accidentally biting into the bone, but no. After further investigation, I noticed slits all over the wings as shown in the photo... smh, why would anyone do this. Especially if you are deep frying these wings, this causes the wings to over cook tremendously. It was a horrendous texture in my mouth. Now that I'm staring at these wings longer, it looks more and more disgusting. Giving 2 stars cause I don't know what the other food is like. And shouldn't judge a pho restaurant just for its horrible wings. Please business owner if you read this. Tell your chef to never do that to your wings. The wings are already small enough. 10-15 minutes without those slits in the deep fryer will cook them through and through. Also got a pho, decent. But could use more broth especially for a large. It comes in a tiny medium sized plastic container. Other places has the taller containers for large. Don't skimp your customers out on that either. Because with this giant beef bone, the soup doesn't even cover half the bowl with soup. Probably will never come back, but hope you guys read this criticism and fix it instead of taking it as an insult.

Yelp
Guys HIDDEN GEN when I say this place is amazing it's so dang good!!!! I don't know why I waited years to try pho but if it's your first time you will love this place . Food is great and the waitress was super kind . Ambiance is cozy

Reynu S.

Yelp
This was a very cozy place with tasty food! The chicken pho was a bit lackluster. Felt like flavors didn't have enough time to fully develop. But with some heavy lifting from the lime, toppings and dipping sauces, it was a cozy and comforting meal. My mom experienced a similar issue with the vegetarian pho, but she was excited that a place served it to begin with, so she was happy to be able to try their take on a vegetarian broth. Overall, it was a nice experience but not super special. I might go back once more if I lived in the area.

Yelp
A cute, little place that serves the usual Vietnamese food such as pho, bahn mi, vermicelli bowls, chicken wings and appetizers. We went for an early dinner on Sunday and enjoyed the food and the good service. The lady was working alone handling all of the tables herself. Our food came out all at the same time and it was delicious! We ordered some bahn mi to go for later in the evening too. They are located on a Main Street and there is street parking available. The prices were a little higher than other places, but we were happy with the food and dining experience.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
We ordered the spring roll- i opted for no pork, just shrimp and no beef sprouts (if any). Super delicious. They had crispy onions in there which elevated it for me. The rolls were medium sized but perfectly wrapped. The flavor of the dipping sauce was super yummy! This is my #1 go to when I am going to order from here. Unlike other places, the spring rolls from here taste fresh and clean. 2. My husband ordered the ginger and beef pho and the broth was super clean and yummy! He has har tried before and vowed he will never eat it again but surprisingly he gave it a chance here and it did not disappoint! 3. I also had the shaken beef vermicelli bowl. The beef was too spicy for my liking and i would recommend to request for the spice level to a low when ordering. The dressing was not bad but i definitely would prefer the yummy peanut sauce than the fish sauce marinade it came with it. All in all, food was delicious and it is definitely on our top 3 pho go to place around here.

Yelp
So I never had ox tail pho before and they had it on special... absolutely amazing! Especially their pickled jalepeno OMG! Amazing! Service was great and pushy at all! I love how the theme of the places followed through with its name lunar!

Kerry J.

Yelp
Went in this afternoon and was not disappointed with the spicy noodle soup. It had a few items I've never tried before congealed blood, banana flower, and pig feet. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the blood, I gotta be honest it's super light, smooth like texture and reminds me of a hard boiled egg slightly. But that's cause I have nothing to compare it to. The balance of the broth was phenomenal, fresh sprouts and herbs! Pig feet wasn't my favorite as it's got an oily flavor I don't care for, but I can see why people can enjoy it! The banana flowers definitely added a variety of texture and flavor to the overall bite and is incredibly enjoyable. My partner had the ox tail and steak pho and she loved the ox tail. Service was nice and quick, and super friendly and Helped Answer a few questions I had. Highly recommend going out of your comfort zone here and giving it a try. We will be back for some more for sure!

Yelp
Ordered their grilled pork banh mi, which was very flavorful. I just wished that there was less fat in the meat overall. About 30% of the pork was fat, which I had to take out. Otherwise, service and atmosphere were great!

Plum E.

Yelp
Best pho I've had in Washington - my boyfriend and I loved it. Very friendly service as well, will be back.

Chuck S.

Yelp
Wow. Superb pho is not easy to find. So look no further. Probably the best pho I've had. The broth was simply delicious. Complex flavors all paired perfectly together. Rich. I had the Special Pho that has all the meat choices. Yum yum. The service was very friendly and fun. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall. It's not about the ambience. Is all about that broth and it is exceptional.

Minu D.

Yelp
We've been having Vietnamese food for 15+ years now from the best places, and the Banh mi we had here was one of the best. We ordered chicken pho and it was nice too. The ambiance was good. We were welcomed warmly by who I think is the owner was and an elderly lady. They both were nice. Since the food is so good, the place is busy. I'd suggest to order ahead for pickup or go ahead of time. Our whole family including kids liked the food. We'll definitely visit this place again next time we're here.

Severa M.

Yelp
Came Upon this spot on Yelp and decided to check it out due to the high rating. came in ,place wasn't packed. Seems to have only 1 server. She seated us gave us menus and took our drink order we ordered Water and my husband also ordered a coke. We ordered an Appetizer and 2 #12s after waiting almost 10mins . we got our appetizer and after that we waited 30 mins or more before asking about our Pho, we noticed a couple that came in 10 mins after us get their 2 appetizer's and their pho... after inquiring about our meal i was told that there was a mix up and that couple had received our meal by accident. which was fine but i think the server should have informed us instead of letting us feel like we've been forgotten. after getting our meal we didn't want to ask for anything else because we didn't know how long it would take to get anything. The server tried to make it right by comping our appetizer. The pho was good but i'm not sure we'll come back due to the service.

Misha W.

Yelp
The best pho and the gal (host) is really sweet and a hard worker! Get the Ginger Steak Pho and thank me later! It comes with 2 Chinese fried donuts for dipping (yum)...it's not that big inside , so I wouldn't suggest bringing. Big party!

Michael C.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED this place, the pho was amazing with their own home made broth. The guy who served us was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Loved the cozy vibe too. Prices were super cheap too. Will definitely be back again many times.

Ted M.

Yelp
Food was a 10/10 had the egg rolls, steak n brisket pho and chicken wings (didn't really like the wings) but everything else was a 10/10 and the Thai milk tea was amazing Service was very great too

Susan R.

Yelp
Somewhere between spring and summer is "my face is allergic to the world day". That day is today Looking for a nice spot in my town to support a local Pho place, I found Lunar Pho on Yelp. Altho I was originally thinking of chicken pho. I ordered the beef and ginger pho, which was phenomenal! I had a hot tea and water. They bring the water in a bottle, so that's unusual yet not a bad thing. The true standout of my visit today is not the food, not the ambiance, yet both of those are awesome. The real gem is the server, Priscilla, who is efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and unflappable! She had the whole restaurant that she was waiting on, handing off to-go orders as they came in, answering the phone, and greeting every person that walked in! My pho dish comes with a Chinese donut, which she described as kinda like a churro, only no sugar on the outside. I wanted to try it yet I'm allergic to wheat. She was able to confirm that it wouldn't be in my best interest as there is wheat in the donut. I appreciate her due diligence. Phenomenal service, excellent food and clean restaurant, I'll be back!!

Agnes P.

Yelp
First time eating here. We ordered the beef rib pho and honey walnut shrimp. The food was good and service was excellent!! I would definitely come back for their beef rib pho and try other items on the menu.

Lilly K.

Yelp
The service is good, they are nice. In terms of food, I came with the whole family and ordered oxtail and steak pho, steak and brisket pho and spicy noodle soup. The oxtail meat was tough and the soup tasted sweet, non savory, missing a lot of flavor as it tasted like watered down pho with sugar, idk maybe it need to be cooked for longer time to achieve that rich beef bone flavor.

Dennis P.

Yelp
When I moved to Tacoma I was looking for a good Pho replace to replace my locations. I think Lunar's Pho is going to be it! I've always loved a Pho Tai Bo Vien. This place offers a Pho Tai and. Pho Bo Vien, but they'll mash them together for you if you ask. They've done this for me a few times now and every time I've found their food to be absolutely amazing. It is soul satisfyingly good! My wife always buys the Beef Short Ribs as she isn't a big Pho lover. She says the rib portions here are extra generous, providing an ample amount of meat. The meat is tender, juicy, and most of all flavorful. The fried egg is so good, my son always steals it. This also have a rotating list of specials on their menu at the front. We've had some amazing fish sauce chicken wings and today we had a delicious casava cake. Please give this place a shot!

Paris T.

Yelp
I went on a lunch date here with my husband and we felt instantly welcomed upon walking in. We ordered: Meatball Pho and Banh Mi Bo Nuong and the food came out in a timely manner. The overall ambiance of this place is very comfortable/homey. Our server was excellent and attentive. The menu had a nice selection too. Highly recommend!

Project Pat H.

Yelp
Aye y'all I had to check this crib out. Y'all ready know, I'm on the search for the best Bahn Mi in tacoma. So I'll keep it straight. This is a high contender, and definitely a Bahn Mi I would recommend to friends, however it does not claim the top spot. With that said, the prices are competitive, the folks are friendly, the food keeps it trill. 5 stars y'all.

J T.

Yelp
Taste of nostalgia. Except better Fried chicken with fish sauce was very homemade. Chicken from Costco package was fried then lather over with sweet peppered thick fish sauce. Something I've done at home. Delicious Combo rice dish was excellent! Fried eggs over fluffy rice, fresh crisp veggies and pork grilled to be tender and smoky. Service friendly and fast Homely dining ambiance

Bernie B.

Yelp
Ordered the P8 Meatball Pho. I'm new to Tacoma and this was the third Pho place we tried and I gotta say it was delicious. The ambiance is pretty cool and relaxing but what really made it a special experience was our waitress Diana. She made us feel comfortable, made great suggestions, and always checked on us making sure we were okay. I highly recommend Lunar Pho on S 38th St. thank you Lunar Pho and THANK YOU DIANA!

Brenna L.

Yelp
Love the food and the service! Staff is always very friendly and food always comes quick. We usually get their brisket pho and meatball pho and split the chicken bahn mi. One of my favorite pho restaurants I've been to in Tacoma,

Jay C.

Yelp
Everything has gotten up in price that it's scary to eat out these days. But at the same time, grocery stores are going up as well to where it's about to same just to eat out. With that being said, two dishes was almost $40, but it was worth it. Our server was very nice and polite. The pho broth was tasty. Although an inch disappointed because the noodles were over cooked just a little bit. The spare ribs were a decent portion and had great flavor. Added on an egg cake and shredded pork skin to accompany the rice and ribs plate. I will definitely visit this place again. Give it a try, you'd be happy with the flavor.

Gigi M.

Yelp
I'm not sure if I just picked the wrong day to try this place out but this is the worst pho I've ever had. I love pho and eat it probably 3-4x per month. I try different places all the time and figured I'd give this place a try after reading reviews. Bad choice. I picked up my pho right around 1pm. I got chicken pho to go. Got home and was sooo excited to dig in. The portions are very small compared to other places but I wasn't too worried about that. I took a huge sip and instantly gagged. It was sooooooo salty !!! Ew. I really mixed up all the noodles and toppings and took another sip and still overwhelmingly salty. I poured half the broth out and poured fresh water in it to dilute it. I take another sip and still so salty. I add more water until it was finally drinkable. I'm assuming they used boiled chicken thighs bc the chicken was gray. It had an odd taste to it. Can't really pinpoint the flavor. The guy working was super friendly! Made a couple jokes and just very welcoming. Overall, I don't think I'll be back to this place for pho.

Elizabeth V.

Yelp
A delicious pho on the first rainy day of the year. I had the steak/brisket pho. The protein was not the star of this dish, however. The highlight is the broth. Man sakes alive, is this stuff good! Rich and savory, the soup has a lively kick of heat that stays on your tongue in the most delightful way. The service is friendly and unassuming, which is just what one wants when a bowl of pho, a good book, and a table for one is on the menu.

Jes S.

Yelp
The best pho in Tacoma. The BEST PHO IN TACOMA. 10/10. The best Thai tea I have ever tasted. Service was perfect, kind, friendly, not annoying...just super calm and chill. 90's hits playing in the background while it's just a calm ambiance. It was truly incredible. I don't understand how this place doesn't have a line out the door every weekend. Came here on a Friday at 6:30pm and there was only one couple in there. This was just mind blowing delicious.

Pearl L.

Yelp
As we first entered into the restaurant, we saw that they had several tables taken and that was a great sign especially on a drizzling rainy day. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly by our waitress, Priscilla. We saw that on one of their walls was a white board with an array limited specials menu which offered a great variety of appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts that weren't listed on their regular menu. We grabbed a mung bean milk tea and crab ragoon from their limited menu while grabbing spring rolls with pork and shrimp, combination Pho and Phnom Penh Noodle Soup (regular). Their menu wasn't too big and had similar classics that you would find elsewhere. They also offered condiments on their tables such as shrimp paste, chili oil, and jalapenos which I thought was really considerate as I love bringing heat to my food and Sriracha or sambal is not enough for me. In addition, none of the bottles or spoons were sticky or looked like they are well-maintained. The interior is absolutely adorable as it isn't a large space like many other Pho restaurants, however it is quaint, brightly lit, and organized in cozy manner. The lights that hang from the ceiling invoke a romantic vibe as the colors of the walls are easy on the eyes. The bathroom is also very clean, they have a very good dryer that I have never seen in all my years of traveling and they even had way to keep the bathroom smelling nice but not overwhelming. Overall the space is clean and Priscilla was very quick and efficient in clearing off tables, sanitizing and setting up the tables once customers leave the restaurant. First, I love that they have one size as the portion sizes for all their food and drink offerings were reasonable! Also if presentation is a plus for you, the employees nails presentation with their plating and glassware. Everything came to us in such a photogenetic poisitioning. Another bonus is that they divide beansprouts, jalapenos, and other toppings for your noodles with each order rather than having a small plate of toppings. The amount of toppings were generous and they were very fresh, which was a great sign as not only our their toppings fresh but their food as well. The broths for both of our soups were spot on, not teetering in either too salty or sweet, as well as not leaving our throats parched for water due to the excessive amount of salt or MSG. The shrimp and pork fresh rolls were wrapped perfectly having a great crunch texture with an assortment of flavors from what you would expect, as well as their creamy and tangy peanut sauce. The mung bean milk tea was absolutely refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweetness, it was difficult to not just want to drink the whole thing before the meal. The crab ragoon was shaped like a puff pastry but I personally prefer this style over the traditional as it is less messy and oil. They were packed with flavor and paired well with the sweet chili sauce. I took my noodle soup home as I got full and it still tasted just as good as it did in the restaurant! Priscilla stopped by to speak with us to check in on how the food was and even had some casual, professional talk about our life. Not at all imposing and just being an absolute gem to speak with. She also remembers customers and orders, which I think shows her commitment and passion for her work and her family business. I have been to several Vietnamese Pho restaurants throughout Washington and Lunar Pho truly represents what the ideal perfect restaurant is with their superb service, food and drinks, and ambiance. I'm excited to come back again to sample their other choices. There is a reason why they are a five star restaurant on Yelp and you should drop in to see why!

Ricky R.

Yelp
After a year and many repeat visits this is for sure our spot. We have tried a few different foods, but for my money I cannot stop getting the Pork Bahn Mi and chicken wings. Thats my order and even when I want to try something else I am likely ordering that. We are likey visiting this place once a month and some times once a week. If we get sick we grab a giant bowl of pho to help get rid of those colds. If we are in a hurry hard to beat. Need a quick snack how about a bahn mi to go. I highly recommend and have yet to have a single compliant or issue. Plus the family running the spot or so nice and friendly.

Emma F.

Yelp
Never going back. Food was okay tasting until I found a bandaid in my pho. Thought I was eating a rough piece of meat, turns out it was someone's bloody bandaid! Server came to me and said "no one in the back has any wounds on their hands, so I'm not sure how it got in there"... just comped my pho and not the whole meal. So disgusting.

Marie J.

Yelp
Here we go. Parking: 1. Street Parking. 2. "Around back...Parking" (per sign on door) Interior & Staff: 1. Small but NICE and NEAT. 2. Quiet. (At least when we went) 3. Staff/wait person very friendly. Personable. Now: Tha' Pho. I ordered the Oxtail & Steak Pho. My Sister--the Steak & Tendon Pho. I'm focusing on mine however. I ordered this based on tha' fact I LOVE Oxtail yet never had 'Ox Pho'. I also ordered because of a photo featuring a bowl of it. 1. Nice size bowl but apparently-- one () size. 2. $18.21 for tha' Ox bowl and $14 (and change) for my sisters. Overpriced (on mine) but-- I'll get ta' that in a sec. 3. Decent prices on menu as a whole. Pros: 1. This place has got to have THE BEST PHO BROTH...I've EVER Tasted. FACTS annnnnd....PERIOD!!!!! I mean this stuff here is 'brown, flavorful, rich...liquid GOLD'! While you literally can smell the 'anise', tha' flavor of it is well-balanced. Anise is strong and can seriously ruin a Pho. But this BROTH...this stuff is APEX!!! DO YOU....HEAR ME!!!! 2. Whoever on here said Lunars broth was 'ew'--is a STRAIGHT, Hot MESS LIAR!!! No Sir. No Ma'am--that honorable award would unmistakably go to: 'I PHO' @ 7801 Bridgeport in Lakewood. Watery. Flavorless MESS. You are outside yo' mind and MUST be a competitor. I don't see on their 'worst' day--this being 'ew'. YET...I digress. 3. They give the proper...NO--tha' RIGHT ratio of noodles! Not too much & not scarce. Perfect! 4. Beauuuuutiful Basil with perfect green & perky leaves & fresh, crunchy bean sprouts. DOWN Hill Cons: 1. Not enough meat. Not nearrrrrly enough meat. 2. Tha' steak was scarrrrrcely there BUT... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tha' Con that KILLED a STAR!! Like...like...murdered it!!!!!: **3. Oxtail was scarce. Flavorless. Sawed-thin cut, 'aged' (and I'm being gentle wit that word 'aged') and worse--it was tougher than a Bronx New Yorker's attitude!!! I do mean Coach Purse leather...TOUGH! Don't chu' go in here wit no damn dentures and order this. You go be heated and trying to fish them suckas outta that bowl. Be warned. 4. This bowl didn't look nuuuuuhhhhhthin' like tha' fresh lookin' Ox & Steak bowl that's was full of meaty goodness in tha' photos in yelp. I got GANKED yall!!!! I kinna felt like that Porky tha' Pig Cartoon from when I was wayyyyyy back before I knew what an 'Ox and a tail' was. Where that cute lil' 'piece of bacon wit legs' bought a beeeeauuuutiful house and when he gave his dollas' to tha' man--tha' man jumped into his truck & sped off. When he did--that BEAUTIFUL HOUSE...was really a picture which was tied to tha' truck and behind tha' picture --was a janky @?$, Rusty &@! SHED!!!! Ole' Porky was pigggitty...pigggitty...Pissed!!! And so was I. So... Tha' nice gentleman did come over and asked us how we liked the Pho. This is what I told him: "Oh...that broth was straight Fire. I could drank that by itself. (I couldn't reiterate that enough. I wanted him to feel the LOVE that I felt in my heart--for that bowl of liquid goodness.) But look here: Get a dang pressure cooker, heck--get uh 'Insta-Pot' and fix them Oxtails RIGHT because they too dang tough and too small. And you already lackin' in meat period!" He thought tha' pressure cooker was an good suggestion. Poor fella tried to tell me that the reason they don't cook Oxtails too long--is because they may 'crumble' during cooking. Awwww....you 'precious' you (I'm thinking) but I let him know... "Oxtails bones won't 'crumble' if you pull em' out early and remove tha' meat in chunks & proceed wit tha' bones. Wit that being said my fellow Yelpers: This place has ALL tha' potential of me baking cakes and THAT...I CAN DO and I does it DEFINITELY well. A good PHO MUST have a BOMB broth and THIS place--definitely nails it in that category. It is for THAT reason alone that I will DEFinitely return and I highly, HIGHLY...recommend Lunars Pho to everyone. I look at it this way. I don't mind paying extra for meat that's just me SO--if that Pho broth is on point, I'm so...SO down wit them. DOWN I say!!!! I just won't deal wit the 'Oxtails with a case of Arthritis' ever again UNLESS they let me sample first so... Y'all fix that now. Git in tha' kitchen an...an...an FIX THAT! Quick!!!! But I'll holla!....An...an Sooooon.

Yelp
I really like this restaurant- the spices on the grilled chicken are wonderful and full of flavor. The staff is warm and friendly; they make you feel appreciated.

Yelp
Ordered online, literally took over an hour to "prepare meal". Never got a status update. Eventually cancelled order

Yelp
We discovered this place by chance. My son and I were headed home, hungry and looking for a quick take out place. As I drove, I asked my son to Yelp a place nearby and Yelpers showed us the way. We ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl. Wow, seriously wow is all I have to say...the food is so good and the owners are super nice. This is my new favorite place. It's the best food I've had in a really long time.

Yelp
I've had well over a thousand bowls of pho in my lifetime. I can say that the pho I just experienced at Lunar's Pho is easily the best I've had in decades. The bowl was so fragrant, it took me back to being a kid having pho for the first time at a small pho restaurant in the Tacoma Hilltop. And dare I say it was even better than my mom's home cooked pho (sorry, mom). And the service was top notch. Very friendly and attentive. I live an hour away but I will definitely be coming back again.

Yelp
Went because my usual bun bo hue spot was closed and this place was nearby and had good reviews. Customer service was great and fast. The price made me cringe but i gave it a try anyway. The appearance and veggies it came with looked so promising. The sliced vietnamese ham loaf was the best i ever had, it must've been homemade bc i never tasted one this good at any restaurant. Unfortunately, this was the only thing i liked about the bun bo hue, the broth just didn't hit the mark and my bowl was mostly broth .... Had half the amount of noodles and half the amount of meat and more expensas my usual spot. The noodles were also not fully cooked, the chopstick couldn't even grip the noodles. I want to say that maybe the day i went was a bad day but to be honest, i probably won't try it again.

Yelp
Delicious, affordable and great size portions! I went here a couple nights ago with a group of 6 family and friends and loved it. There isn't a lot of seating for larger groups so keep that in mind. It seems they mostly prefer 4 people or less. We parked in front and then saw a sign on the door noting that there is parking in the back which is nice to know. I will definitely be back. I had the pork vermicelli but also tried the pork pho and banana cake and all of them were scrumptious. Service was fast.

Yelp
Lunar's Pho is a new pho restaurant that opened on 38th not too long ago. There was a previous pho restaurant here that Steve and I were very fond of and were surprised a new one went into the space. I love pho with chicken in it. Especially during a rainy winter day but you won't see that menu option here as the meat is beef which from my understanding is the most authentic. I went with the meatball pho and is my second choice next to a bowl of chicken pho and it did not disappoint at all. It was a very good bowl of soup and I really enjoyed the broth. The vegetables were nice and fresh too! We were also given a small slice of Casava Cake which was complimentary which was a very nice touch to a very satisfying lunch on a rainy Saturday!

Yelp
My go-to pho, hands down. Everything about this place is top quality! From the moment you walk in, the gentleman at the front always greets us, sits us & gets us going right away. The broth is always so good & are never stingy with the meat hahaha
