Have I, SERIOUSLY, never rated Luna's?!! How is this possible?! *Rethinking everything I've been doing with my time...* Luna's is fantastic!! Family owned business by a wonderful couple who named their store after their dog, Luna! The ice cream is incredible!! So much product in the ice cream is just one good thing! Their menu changes here and there, and they're all favorites!! I haven't had a bad ice cream from Luna's! They have a Doggie Nice Cream, 25% of the proceeds go to the Humane Society, and the ice cream is one of the only ones my dog can tolerate! Double prizes!! The prices are pretty comparable to other ice cream stores, but, come on, family owned. Say less. You have to give it a try!

Incredible experience! Ice cream amazing and delightful flavors. Got lavender honey and roasted pistachio and lemon poppy seed blueberry. Leland is such a joy and has incredible people skills. Idk what yall pay him but you need to pay him more! Will come back for ice cream here! If you go here leave Leland a big tip! Sorry about the picture it was too good I couldn’t wait to eat it!

Hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The flavors matched the description! The owner had a huge smile on her face and was so kind! I left telling g my husband “I want to be her friend” Definitely one of those spots that make a neighborhood great!

Wow. SO GOOD. I’ve been meaning to try Luna’s for a while now and it certainly did not disappoint. If you’re ever in the mood for unique flavors (which are made in house) may I add..this is the place. Very kind people. Very generous portions. I had a split scoop of the nilla maple marionberry and bourbon butter pecan and my sister had the chocolate pb cookie. 10/10. Looking forward to trying their other flavors next time I’m back!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! One thing I love about this place is it's involvement in the community. They are at almost every community event possible, as well as sponsoring fundraising events. They are as wonderful as the ice cream they serve! It's also got gluten free cones, which is great for this gal!

Luna's Ice Cream on Oaks St in Portland is a fantastic little spot to check out if you're wanting a sweet treat! All made in-house, with non-dairy and vegan options available too! I took a little bite of the waffle cone on my way home, and that was a mistake cuz now I can't stop and probably won't have one for my ice cream when I get there.. At least it's really good! I guess I'll have to go back for more..! I'm definitely stoked on that. They recommended the Nilla Maple Marionberry and Apple Pie and they were totally on point! Thanks homies. I highly suggest your next dessert be there!

Luna's Ice Cream has great flavors and variety for those that are gluten free to those that are vegan. Highly recommend. Also, if you catch one of the workers, Leiland(I hope I am spelling that right), he rocks it. He is only 17 and does an amazing job, his customer service exceeds expectations and has a smile while doing it. He deserves all the praise.

We went here while visiting from out of state and loved it so much we needed to make multiple visits before leaving. Luna's excels at both regular and vegan, gluten-free ice cream. Their cookie dough doesn't have just chunks of dough in it, but entire veins of cookie dough. The vegans in my group said this was the best vegan ice cream they've ever had. Everyone who worked there was notably nice and friendly. We wished we could have met the owners to tell them how awesome their shop was. This will be a must-visit spot on any return visit to Oregon.

We love Luna's! They have an excellent selection of seasonal and regular flavors with gluten free and vegan options. Just tried the Triple Threat for the first time today and it knocked my socks off. I also live right around the corner and walk here in the daytime with my kiddo who also loves all the options. Super cool that it's family run and everyone who we've interacted with that works there has been amazing, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. If you haven't tried Luna's yet, definitely worth a visit. Just bring an extra pair of socks.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! Happened to pass by here and stopped in and grabbed some vegan gf ice cream. It was delicious and customer service was top notch!

Absolutely a hidden gem and thank god I live far enough away that I don't line up daily and empty my wallet :P Dropped by on a whim with a couple friends because we decided that we needed to get ice cream before dinner since this place closes at 8 pm. And let me tell you, this ice cream was L I F E changing and absolutely delicious. First off, a ton of their flavors sound amazing but I went with the salted caramel truffle in a waffle cone while my friends got the summer's day (strawberry & lemon curd), birthday cake, and vegan strawberry cheesecake in cups. The ice cream was insanely good and honestly, totally worth the price. The waffle cone was also quite good and I highly recommend getting a cone if you try this place; my friends loved their flavors as well and to be honest, if you have friends with lactose intolerance, dairy issues, or vegan dietary preferences, they have SIX vegan flavors as well as an option to sub oat milk into their milkshakes. The interior is small and it can get crowded; there was quite the line when we arrived, but service was friendly and efficient so it moved pretty quickly. Since this is in a strip mall type situation, parking was pretty easy~ I would totally drive out to this spot again because I cannot stress just HOW good it was. Highly recommend this spot for ice cream goodness!

Amazing flavors, they'll literally let you try every flavor. Kids working there are MUCH more polite and mature than a lot of quick food options around town. We love Luna's.

With dynamic flavors on the menu and amazing photos of ice cream, we walked in thinking Luna's would sweep us off our feet. The two guys working were nice, friendly, and accommodating. There was no one in line so we took some time trying some flavors. When we got our cones, the ice cream wasn't as creamy as I would prefer and had gone to ice crystals. Still, the marionberry nilla wafer flavor I chose tasted the most of marionberry I've tried yet in Portland. We got two pints for Thanksgiving, so hoping if we leave those out for a bit we will be greeted with the creaminess we desire. The waffle cones here were also lacking in flavor, were thin and one note. The serving size was ample for the price though. Maybe its a seasonal thing, cold outside and humid so coolers should adapt. Who knows, but something in the process is effecting the texture of the product in a negative way. Still, the place was clean, inviting, and we'll come back again and try another flavor maybe in Summertime.

Food: ice cream please! They have a variety of classic and chic flavors. We ordered a kids cone of Cookies & Cream & I ordered Drum Stick. Drum Stick is exactly what you would get if it was the drum stick- it's mixed & you can choose a cone or dish. It's creamy & smooth- will leave you with wanting more! Service- 5 STARS! The patience the owners have for the long line of customers- yet they still delivered. Super friendly, super sweet & just all around wholesome- welcome to our community! Ambiance- it's a cute & simple shop! The decor is chic & welcoming with all the colors they have inside. Their little shop is cute & makes you want to come back! They also offer VEGAN options! They're sanitizing is on top- as I noticed the owner change his gloves each customer! I'd recommend & return

I brought my daughters here after a doctor's appointment, first time coming here. The ice cream selection was both what you'd expect as well as some very creative options. We were greeted by the friendly gentleman behind the counter. The store is fairly simplistic with some artwork on the walls and 7 or 8 small tables. My daughters both ordered the birthday cake ice cream on a cone and I had the salted caramel truffle. The ice cream was great!! For children's scoops, they are big. Everyone was happy and we'll definitely be back.

Although there was a line of people waiting less than 1 hour before closing the line moved quickly with 2 people working. Great customer service and patience with allowing me to sample as many vegan flavors as I wanted. I definitely recommend trying this place out and I will be back.

It was a hot day and the youngest asked if we could get ice cream. We found this cute little shop. There is ample parking, and several two person tables inside. Ice cream is clearly labeled for dietary restrictions, great for people who have these restrictions but also makes me concerned about the resulting flavor. But I had nothing to fear. The scoops are generous and you can get them in a cup, cone, or even a gluten free cone. As a purist I had vanilla bean with chocolate syrup. Excellent ice cream, creamy and rich. The cookie dough ice cream had great ice cream but the cookie dough was dry and crumbly. The fruit ice creams were sweet and fruity and creamy like ice cream should be. The staff were friendly, up-beat, and helpful. They answered all of our questions and allowed us try a flavor when we weren't sure. We would definitely return.

Great family owned business with great service and great ice cream. I love that they have unconventional flavors like Lavender or Lemon Poppyseed. More seating options would be nice.

It smelled like some chemical that the organic shops like Salt & Straw or Cloud City don't. The location was a bare, corner-type strip mall with minimal outdoor seating. That said, do any of the ice cream shops really have charming outdoor seating? Why don't ice cream stores locate next to parks or gardens? You always want to take the cone and walk around. Anyway, it may have just been coincidence, but my husband had unusual digestive trouble the next day. Maybe he's just discovering a dairy sensitivity. We won't go back.

When you walk in the first thing you smell is the sense of vanilla and waffle cones...Mmmmm!!!! then you have the most caring woman explain to you the menu and that you have vegan options and you even have options for your four-legged fur babies!! She will then give you the option to try whatever you'd like with metal spoons because they're eco-friendly and they care about our planet...FYI my favorite choice was salted caramel truffle... This little shop was truly amazing. You definitely need to give them some business because everybody loves ice cream.

The GOOD STUFF: Awesome ice cream spot for high quality amazing ice cream. A lot of unique flavors, great service with a neighborhood feel, and the inside is clean and open. Get hand stuffed pints to go, or stay for generous sized scoops. All around fun! Ideas for improvement: It can get busy during peak times. The inside, while clean and open, is bare bones with limited visual intrigue & limited furniture. Invite rotating artists to hang a few works? And.... It would be awesome if there were more seating options, both inside AND outside - like the little tables with umbrellas similar to the Starbucks ones at the other end of the parking lot. It would also be nice if there were more trash cans and self service options for sticky drips and "problem cones" that need a bowl for example. Also more regular table wiping would be appreciated since there's so few tables to begin with.

An ice cream shop near me? This could be dangerous. We popped in during their opening week. The line went quick. The owners were scooping and chatting us up. You could tell they take pride in their shop. I got the pistachio ice cream and it was so creamy and delicious. The apple pie was amazing as well. There are a couple of tables to sit and enjoy your treats. Can't wait to try the other flavors.

I enjoyed my ice cream cone from Luna's on one of Portland's recent warm afternoons. The counter staff were helpful and nice. Other customers appeared to be a mix of families and other locals which contributed to a nice neighborhood feel. The ice cream was very good, but I did not find it quite as yummy and creamy as some of the other Portland ice cream options. I recommend this spot if you are in the neighborhood and craving a dose of quality ice cream.

Wow! Just tried this place for the first time via delivery. Both the Nila Malple Marion Berry and Lemon Poppyseed Blueberry were outstanding. A visit is in order.

I found out about this place from two Facebook groups -- one is a Portland vegan group and the other is my neighborhood page. Both had raved about how amazing Luna is and so I have been really, really excited to go! We took some out-of-town visitors and we all agreed this was some of the best ice cream we've ever had. Their portions were generous and more than reasonably priced, the staff was SO nice and friendly, and I loved how they had multiple, creative vegan options. The shop was clean with a few tables inside and outside, although I wish they had heavier-duty paper napkins because I made a mess! It's also really cool how you can make your own ice cream sandwiches! I'm definitely coming back!

The ice cream was so good! They have 6 yummy DF/GF flavors, including one that is sugar free too. There is no comparison to this ice cream and Baskin Robbins. The flavors are rich, natural, and only a few, unique. The staff were very patient with our kiddos and had a sense of humor. There is seating both indoors and out.

This place is our new favorite ice cream shop in the Portland area! Amazing selection and menu of top notch, quality ice cream. This will be our family treat place when in the Mikwaukie area. Friendly service too, and parking! In my opinion this place beats the more well-known Portland area ice cream shops hands down. Get yourself a scoop or two. Must try!!

Delicious and what a nice family and business. Been here a few times. Always have to have the mocha chip, it's so yummy! The chips they use are the perfect size and the mocha is so rich and creamy. I got the Nila Marionberry yesterday and it was amazing too. Her ice cream is silky smooth and so flavorful. I think next time I will get a cookie sandwich or a cupcake. My friend took the cupcake home and said it was delicious.

Newly opened in mid-August of 2023, a husband and wife duo who make everything in house! Truly delicious ice cream! The service is great, they are patient and friendly, and encourage you to try it all. I don't live nearby but I definitely see myself driving out of the way to come back with friends and family. I would easily say this is going to be a strong rival for all other Portland ice cream shops.

Great flavors, their strawberry lemon curd is tart and refreshing on a warm fall day. Tried their seasonal pumpkin flavor and it was great, loved the chunks of monkey bread in it. Unfortunately all the ice creams we tried seemed to have been over churned, the pumpkin was crumbling and icy compared to the smooth textures from previous visits. Hopefully just an off day because their flavors are just the best and staff is always very friendly.

Dropped in for a snack. Ordered the NILLA MAPLE MARIONBERRY (Maple + Marionberry Jam Swirl + Mini Nilla Wafers) in a cup and CHOCOLATE STRACIATELLA (Milk Chocolate Ice Cream + Gobs Of Dark Chocolate Hard Shell) double scoop in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Perfectly balanced innovative ice cream flavors. Hardest part is deciding. Chocolate straciatella is sooo rich and delicious, it requires a glass of milk or friend to share with.

I finally got around to trying this new ice cream place. It was the best ice cream experience I have ever had. First, the service is top notch. Second, the quality of ice cream is fantastic and so tasty. I was so impressed, I went twice in one day, bringing two different groups of kids. They all loved it!

Luna's Ice Cream in Milwaukie is an absolute gem! Their diverse array of flavors is a dream come true for any ice cream lover. I had their Cookies and Cream milkshake. Creamy, rich, and bursting with cookie goodness - it's pure indulgence in a cup. My kiddo demolished a chocolate ice cream in a cone, he's a fan too. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make Luna's a 5-star ice cream haven!

The amount of fun flavors here makes this place of the hook! On a 91 degree day, there was a long line, but the huge scoop of Apple Pie A La Mode was amazing! Great ribbons of Biscoff cookie type graham cracker swirl! Also try Hunny Bunny, which is carrot cake with cream cheese swirl. A generous big scoop for $5 or get a double scoop for 7! And try a home made waffle cone dipped in chocolate and you are SO good to go! They also have vegan flavors like Rum Raisin worth a go!

Best ice-cream EVER! They also have pup cups that support the humane society! The owners have hearts of gold and are bringing such a slice of joy to the community. Great service and everything is made in house from scratch. Vegan and gluten free friendly, too. The ice-cream cupcakes are so tasty, too!!

I'm so excited to have an ice-cream shop in town that offers vegan ice cream! This shop is cute, clean and cheerful. The service was friendly and kind. A portion of their proceeds for their doggie "nice cream" goes to local animal shelters. I will support any place that has vegan offerings and benefits animals. The vegan ice-cream was also delicious! Glad to have you in the hood Luna's!

This ice cream is legit. It tasted homemade and fresh. They had a good variety of interesting flavors and were happy to let us taste. The scoops were generous. This is my new go-to for ice cream.
