The sandwiches here are seriously delicious, fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. The service was absolutely top-notch too. I was served by the owner herself, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth coming back to! And I hope she’ll open one location in Europe in the future :)

I can’t believe I only just discovered this place. I’ve walked by a bunch but totally missed they were a sandwich spot (and I’m obsessed with sandwiches 🫣!) First, I will echo everyone else in that they are SO nice inside and also will patiently walk you through any questions you have on the menu. Second, the ratios are great and they are packed with ingredients and flavor. My first time there we split three sandwiches, the Bacon Boy and Mama Mia were my favorites, Butt Kickin chicken wasn’t my cup of team, more of a chicken salad purist, but it was super flavorful and I can see why it is popular. I ordered the Gobbler + bacon via Dash Dash and it was also incredible- I love that they put mayo on both sides of the bread. I love their mission to give back and I cannot wait to continue working my way through the menu!

I’ve been coming to Lunch Heroes every week - that’s how good it is! Hands down the best sandwiches in town. The owners Sam and Claire are so sweet and treat us like family. We come in with dogs and they always give us turkey/cheese treats for the pups🥰 First time I’ve ever had Dutch Crunch Bread (they make it in-house) and I loveeee it. The bread is soft inside but crunchy on the outside. I always get the Mama Mia (Italian sub) but I wanna try the breakfast sandwich, looks really good. Overall, 10000/10. I rave about this place to all my friends and family.

I visited for the first time today after stumbling upon this spot by chance—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. Was flavored with a lightly spiced honey sauce which was divine, and they gave me a bottle of hot sauce to make it even tastier. The 6-inch portion was surprisingly hearty and just the right size. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their sandwiches—not only for the food but also because the customer service was among the best I’ve experienced in the city.

Finally a sub spot that actually puts a lot of meat in their sandwiches! It consistently tastes fresh and great too. The bread is both soft and crunchy, and they have great topping options. Also gave a side of cheese for my dog :) owners are always so kind as well. I think if they just changed their logo they would get more foot traffic because it doesn’t look like a food spot. Anyways highly recommend!

Best Dutch crunch in Chicago. Big sandwich too - Kickin’ Chicken has a little heat but not overwhelming. Thrilled the north side has a spot making real hero sandwiches, their mission makes it all the more worth a visit

These sisters make kick *** sandwiches! They are a dynamic duo in the front of house and you can tell they take great care in their craft. The house-made bread was the icing on the cake. A new staple for a lunch drop in and will definitely be back for the breakfast sammie. Also, outdoor seating is king. Thank you for the amazing hospitality! *flavor missiles pictured below

5 stars, without a doubt! This place is a must-try! Every sandwich we’ve had has been absolutely next-level. Pictured is the Bacon Boy, my current go-to, and hands down the best BLT I’ve ever had. Even better? For every sandwich sold, they help provide healthy lunches for kids. Incredible food and a mission worth supporting.

Quality new sandwich shop in the neighborhood. The portions are large. The food is good. It is priced fairly. Some sales go to charity. I suspect people will ultimately like or dislike this place based on the bread. It's different than what you typically get on a sandwich. I liked it but didn't love it. Overall, a good addition to the hood and I will return.

My second time at Lunch Heroes, and this time I tried the Butt Kickin' Chicken Sandwich. They have an interesting blend of spices that I couldn't put my finger on, but it was good, and they give you a good portion to boot. They have a good selection of sandwiches, including a "Veggie Sandwich." I'm going to try the "Beefy Beast" next time. All the workers are very knowledgeable about the menu items; they'll get you in and out in no time. If you're near the Fullerton "L" stop, try them; you won't be disappointed.

We have been following Lunch Heroes on social media for quite some time and have been looking forward to their opening in the LP neighborhood! We tried the Mama Mia and The Gobbler and both were delicious! There is a generous amount of meat, cheese, and veggies. The bread is really unique and delicious, it is a little more baguett-ey than a sub bread that we have had previously. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie which was FULL of chocolate and super yummy - a big hit with the kiddos. We love the mission of them donating a hero to a kid in need of lunch. Service was great and ordering at the counter was easy and quick. Ambience wise, my kiddos love the mural of the "heroes". We will definitely be back!

I was VERY excited to try this sandwich shop. The owners are great people who have a mission to sell great hero's but also give back and feed children in need. I walked over with my dog today and I got the Mamma Mia. I ordered the big on and it will easily feed me for two meals. Lucky to have this place in the neighborhood now.

Ordered online. Service was quick and staff was friendly when I picked up my lunch. Highly recommend the Butt-Kickin' Chicken spicy chicken salad. I added banana peppers. So tasty! The Buffalo Ranch Uglies chips were the perfect sidekick. That bread is scrumptious. Heartier than Subway or Jimmy John's but not heavy. Yum.

Ahh! This used to be Kaathis, remember that? I had the Best Spuds and The Beefy Beef. They were very good. The staff and service is superb.

Grab a sandwich take it with you. I got three different sandwiches and I loved each one. Great flavor and they make their own bread. The service was quick and super friendly. Clare and Melissa kept us entertain why our sandwiches were being made. I'll be back for sure. Support small business come see this awesome sandwich shop in Lincoln Park.

Bread was incredibld, sandwich was incredible. Cant recommend this place enough and love the charitable contribution aspect of this business model as well!

We eat here at least once a week. Great sandwiches, friendliest people. Our favorites are the turkey and the tuna.

Currently in my car eating a 12 inch "The Hammer" and it's unbelievable. I never write reviews! At first the bread looked like the sandwich was going to fall apart but it stayed together! when I tried it with the Italian dressing it made the perfect combination. I'm not a bread or Italian dressing kind of guy but both of those items are very tasty at this establishment. I really enjoyed my sandwich and will come back. The only criticism I have is the bread could use a touch of sugar. I also think if they had a side window they could stay open late and get the drunk crowd.

One of the best subs I have ever had! So full with meat and ingredients! The space is located perfectly in Lincoln Park and they provided excellent service to accommodate my needs! I will was full on just a 6inch!

The bread here is what makes the sub. It is very very very good.. outstanding. The service was quick and everyone was so friendly!

I went to LH yesterday for dinner - the sandwich was great and the service could not have been more friendly. Highly recommended.
