Lunchbox Laboratory - Review - South Lake Union - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Lunchbox Lab is not the best burger spot in town. But we like it for a couple of reasons - the school cafeteria theme makes it great for kids, and the spiked milkshakes make it great for adults with kids. And if there aren’t any children in your life, sometimes all you need after a long day at work is sitting at the bar completely alone, eating a BBQ burger with onion rings and chipotle cream cheese alongside some mac and cheese topped with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos." - Aimee Rizzo

Google
Solid burger place, with a great menu of designed burgers and an extensive build-your-own option. I had a Mac Daddy ‘Merican - it channeled the essence of its big burger chain namesake in construction and combination of toppings and sauce, but at a much higher quality level. I had tots with my burger, which was a solid choice. I rounded out the experience with a chocolate shake - also very tasty.

It was not busy when we went (5:22 pm on Monday,) there was one other human inside and three tables outside occupied (presumably also by humans.) It was 15 minutes before we saw a server and placed our order. That wasn’t a big deal, everywhere is short staffed. It was a bit frustrating that our appetizer came out at the exact same time as our entrees. The food was ok. Nothing was wrong particularly, but nothing was spectacular either. To be completely honest I prefer Red Robin’s burgers. The decor was fun, and you’re paying for the kitsch. We had an order of fried pickles, an Oreo shake, and two vegan (not kobe) burgers for $60. I’ve had amazing vegetarian / vegan burgers, these were not. Very dry, I wanted to ask for more of the sauce but no one returned to our table until it was time for the check. Again, not terrible or inedible just… ok.

Google
super expensive food with not so great taste. Never going back again. Gluten-free bun was served frozen at first. We complained about it and the server took it back to “re-heat”. The second time, it was not frozen but still icy cold. Plus the bun crumbled apart (well, it’s gluten free bun so I cant complain about that) I got alibaba burger with beef and mac daddy merican. The patty in Alibaba burger smelled really bad and gamy even though it was beef. I thought I was eating lamb kebab meat. I went there because of the groupon but it was such a rip-off. Paid $18.5 for $27 worth value of food, but they only took $24 since that’s the “pre tax” value. Nevermind they charged 3% processing fee. Also the server just stands right in front of you when you are paying, and their tip starts from 20% after tax price. I couldn’t calculate pre tax value because i didnt have the receipt so I had to tip just 20% after tax value (without groupon discount)

Our Uber driver introduced us this place and it was absolutely GOOOOD!! Everything was so fresh, the food was tasty and the side were all yummy. Besides their burger, we also ordered Cod fish burger which was even better than regular burgers they had. The brussel sprouts were sooooooooo good and I never imagined it could be that delicious. This is definitely going to be a 5-star if you like burger and regular American fast food.

Google
Delicious, funky food. This place has some cool items on the menu as well as "experiments" on their special menu. The portions were generous and the servers were polite and offered some great recommendations. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you want a unique twist to the familiar.

Google
A fun place.service was friendly and bartender had a good sense of humor. There are some really creative tastes and flavors, and seasonings on the table to add to your liking. The meals are very filling. My only problem was getting a rare burger when I asked for it to be burnt 3 times over. Lost my appetite upon that red mess.

Google
Zane was a excellent waiter and very attentive. The burgers are unique, in a very good way. The happy hour food is a tad small in terms of portion, but still a decent size. Overall, glad I stopped by, will likely come back again.

Google
The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are fun, but unfortunately the food didn’t match. I tried the Homage to Dick’s Deluxe burger and tater tots, which is a tribute to the local chain Dick’s Drive-in. The tater tots were great, but the burger was flavorless and extremely watery, which also made the bun soggy. Most of the sauce dripped out because it got watered down so there was none left to taste. I didn’t feel that it was worth the price. The staff was very friendly, so that was a plus. Hopefully the team can improve the burgers.

Yelp
Boy, is this place getting bad reviews!!! I looked throight he photos and what was open and it really was good... Now it's not amazing, it's a lunch spot... But it was such a classic taste and vibe and the food came out cooked to perfection... do you ever go to a place that doesn't know how to use their fryer with too old oil, too cool oil, and just is off... Look no further it was cooked perfect and crisp and this is essential for a good burger Side for me... They do have burger bun options for GF needs and gluten free buns sometimes aren't great, so we went with a lettuce bun, and the letuce was perfect... Look at the photo, so keto, lo carb, etc fear not!!

Yelp
w h a t d i d I t r y ? * James West Burger, subbed with vegan bean patty and no bacon: 3/5 Description: patty, cowboy seasoning, Guajillo cream cheese, onion rings, and Papa's bbq Despite the description, I didn't know this burger didn't have lettuce or tomatoes. I kind of thought that was a given. As a result, I did not enjoy my burger to its potential. It was definitely missing something fresh and crunchy to complement the other components. In addition, the burger was a bit lackluster compared to the menu photo. It was a lot smaller than I thought. I did like the texture of the vegan bean patty, however, it tasted like impossible meat rather than a true bean patty. * Cheese curds: 4/5 Description: Breaded and fried Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds with Tapatio dipping sauce. The curds were my favorite part of my meal. They were fried so the cheese had a good cheese pull. The outside was crunchy while the middle was chewy and soft. I was not a big fan of the Tapatio dipping sauce, but I appreciated the creativity. I never had this type of sauce with cheese curds. p r i c e: * James West Burger, subbed with vegan bean patty and no bacon: $16.95 s e r v i c e: 3/5 The service was alright. I came during lunch and it was not very busy. There was probably one other customer that came in. I was seated quickly. My order was taken quickly. The server never came by to check up on us. Luckily I didn't need anything. Despite what I've said, our server was very friendly. a t m o s p h e r e: 3/5 They have outdoor seating with a fire pit and outdoor warmers so it'd be a good place to eat when the weather is nice. Inside, I believe they have two floors for seating and a bar section. There are lots of windows to let in natural light. r a t i n g b r e a k d o w n 1: never ever again... 2: not very good, but at least something went right 3: average. 4: yummy, but something was lacking 5: everything was perfect! I HAVE TO GO AGAIN

Yelp
This was my second time going to this place. I was carving for some milkshakes and got their orange creamsicle as take out. It was so delicious!!! I would definitely come back and try the other flavors. I highly recommend orange creamsicle, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My son and I dropped by for lunch on September 23rd. We have been to this location several times. Our burgers and shakes were very good. They have the best shakes around and we got the Nutella shake and split it. I got the Homage to Dick's Deluxe and my son got the Classic 'MeriCAN. Both burgers were good sized, cooked perfectly and delicious! My son got the fried, which were surprisingly good since I have probably been here 20 times and only got the tots. I got the tots, they were very salty. A few negatives -- they charged extra for ranch and thousand island for our sides. That's always just a cheap move that leaves a bad taste in the mouths of customers. Especially when you are charging $17 for a burger. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, the service was just okay. Our server was nice and our food came out quickly but he never came to check on us and we had to hunt him down to get our check. Also, this location is getting a little run down. There was a rip in our booth that I am pretty sure has been there for months, as I remember sitting in another ripped booth recently.

Yelp
Nothing like some fried food after working in the garden for a few hours! A group of 10 of us came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty and we got a table right away. * SWEET & SPICY FRIED PICKLES I believe they use bread & butter pickles for the sweet aspect and the spicy part comes from the tapatio dipping sauce. I didn't find the batter too heavy but just enough to get a crisp breading. * CHEESE CURDS Nothing beats cheese curds from Wisconsin but these were okay. They didn't have the squeak that I look for. It also came with the tapatio dipping sauce. * GAVACHO'S TOTCHOS Crispy tots topped with cheese sauce, bacon, green onions, sour cream, and a ketchup concoction. Great for sharing but I wish it was less saucy - melted cheese would be better than cheese sauce and I personally could've done with less sour cream. Overall a chill place to hangout with friends although portions seemed a bit small for the price.

Yelp
Great service. Staff was friendly. And food was amazing. The totchos are flavorful and fhe spicy ketchup fives it flavor without being over powering. My daughter loved her mac and cheese. The mustard that accompanied the corn dogs was flavorful without being overly spicy. Lemon Drop was refreshing and the Kool aid rim helped it taste even better.

Yelp
Dropped by for lunch on a weekday with my teammates. The place was almost empty and dead but still the service was slow. I ordered the Mac and Caesar with fries and chicken. I couldn't eat the Mac and cheese, it was very bad. The croutons in the Caesar salad were super salty. For drinks I got the banana pie shake which was okay. I won't be going back here.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! this location is permanently closed and still accepting online orders and charging for them.

Yelp
While the food here was average, nothing to write home about, the most annoying thing is that happened was that we were ripped off on purpose. I had ordered the impossible burger, I was told that they might be out and would a beyond burger be okay, I was completely fine. Wasn't told there was an up charge of $2 for an equally priced burger patty. I would have just ordered the beyond burger they had. Also I asked for a gluten free bun, on the menu it says $1, we were charged $2. Now I know some places charge a processing fee but usually restaurants don't or they at least state on their menu they do. This place did not mention a fee on their menu nor when taking our card. Unfortunately I didn't look at the receipt until after I was home. It's just annoying that this was done. I would only return here to be refunded.

Yelp
Order never went through, even though I paid online on THEIR website. Came in 30 mins after ordering, not a single customer but 4-5 workers. Waited 20 minutes to be helped, after I was helped they couldn't find my order. Came and asked me my order like 4 times before they started making it.... They made the order incorrectly after I waited an HOUR inside the empty restaurant after I already ordered 30 minutes before coming in. Which BYW was just a variety of appetizers...nothing substantial for about $30-40. Once I got back to my hotel and find the whole order incorrect... I immediately reached out to the customer service number they have and no one even reached back out. I would have left as soon as I got there had the money not already come out of my account before I arrived. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
One of the most horrible experiences I had in a restaurant. Tl;dr: Server lied about 21% service charge and asked for an additional tip from a group of non-American tourists and blamed it on "Seattle tax" and the Russian owners (not sure why this even had to be mentioned). We hadn't been back here since the pandemic so we were excited to eat here. We used to frequent this restaurant prior to COVID. Service was ok in the beginning. In the middle of our meal, the server suddenly seemed in a rush to bill us. We were clearly not done with our food nor did we ask for the bill, but we thought maybe his shift was ending so we decided to pay then. This is when everything started to go wrong. Note that the server knew we were from out of town because he had to check my friend's ID for an alcoholic beverage she ordered. - When we were surprised by the price of our bill (since we didn't order much), the server laughed it off and said "Oh that's Seattle tax for you." When asked how much tax is, he got all flustered and said he didn't know and was actually new to town. - While paying we clearly asked him if there were any "service charges or fees" included--Exact words. And he said no because they only charge service fees to a large groups. He even told us that: "it would make his day if we gave some tip". We paid separately by cash and credit.  - The server never asked if anyone wanted the receipts and instead just told us verbally how much each person's bill is (in retrospect, we should have asked to look at the bill first but I never keep a copy of my receipt so I didn't think much of it then.) - When the last person in our group paid by credit card, he asked for the receipt and we were surprised when we saw that there was a 21% service charge added. - When we asked the server about this, he said "Oh I don't know why it keeps appearing in all of my customers bills all day." (We asked him when we were paying if service charge was added and he lied and said no when he knew it was.) When we pointed this out to him, he then went on to say "Actually the owners here are Russian, and that money doesn't actually go to us." - We tried to ask for the manager but he claimed that "It's Sunday, and that management doesn't come on Sundays." We tried to ask help from another server but she was even more rude than our server so we just left. This happened a few weeks prior to posting this review. One of the people in our group tried to reach out to management to try to understand what happened. Was this due to 1-2 bad servers we encountered? Or was this just how the restaurant is being run now? Unfortunately, he didn't hear back from them. Suffice to say, this was quite a traumatic experience. This was not even about money. This felt like exploitation. Is it because we look young? Tourists? Racially profiled? Unfortunately due to this recent visit, we are definitely not coming back here and will be telling friends not to come here.

Yelp
Retro deco place with some creative food and drink concoctions under new ownership I hear. The team here is wonderful and works hard - thank you Calvin. The price/quality continues to be off. A burger and fries for near $20 is a bit much given that there are other spots for half that at least as good. Ali Baba was rated as 6/10, Burger of the Gods 6/10, James Banh 0/10 (sorry inedible). Fries and tots are very good. Happy hour, surprise, now ends at 5: penny-wise and pound foolish I think given that when I have been here the place is empty. I'm hopeful for a change under this new management...

Yelp
Bahn, James Bahn was pretty epic. I appreciated the option to put a bean option on any burger entree. They were pretty busy when we went in, so service was a little slow. But our waiters were charming & sitting outside on their patio with twinkle lights & fire pit was lovely so we didn't mind.

Yelp
3.5 Stars Casual, Retro/laboratory decorated diner-like spot with super fun drinks (boozy milkshakes!) and burgers. Food/Shakes are solid but a tad overpriced for the quality in my opinion. Tried the boozy Elvis milkshake ($10.95), Bison Burger ($15.95) with bacon brussels (+$3). Also got a draft mango cart ($7). The milkshake was thick, creamy, and sweet, and I could barely taste the booze. Very peanut buttery banana-y. I like my burgers pink and this one was done medium well. Nice thick patty though! Brussel sprouts were yummy, although swimming in oil. Staff was super nice and the food came quickly even though they looked swamped with to-go orders.

Yelp
Very mid burger, nothing too special about it, but tater tots were fresh and fantastic! Super crunchy tots!!!

Yelp
Second visit. Second review. Food was spot on! I got a great recommendation from Javier, the bartender. He was fun to talk to and gave the perfect recommendation for me. Try the bison burger with tots and spicy ketchup! Beyond delicious!! The music was great but then Javier offered me to pick what I wanted to watch on TV. So, friendly staff; great food; and a good beer selection. In one way I wish I had enough room for a milkshake!!

Yelp
Checked out the local lunchbox on the way to Seattle. Bartender John T offered some great selections of beer they had and it did not disappoint. Happy the server had great knowledge and recommendations for the the food and local WA beers. Happy with the service and would recommend anyone coming in the SLU area to stop by.

Yelp
The "Smoker" was so tasty, and there were so many choices on the menu that all looked so good. I will be going back again soon!
google avatar

Aja H.

Yelp
The food was very, very good! All of the burgers were cooked to perfection and very juicy. The toppings were just enough. The garlic fries had a hint of garlic that was not overpowering. The onion rings were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The buns were soft and had the right bread to burger ratio. The inside had great social distancing and our server was friendly. The reason for the star dock is because after being seated, we had to flag our server down after a lengthy wait of just sitting there. Also, we requested ranch and had to get up to find our server for it. All in all, if we were to visit Seattle again, we'd be back!

Yelp
I got the ferrero rocher milkshake and my husband went with a peanut butter one. I never ate here (he did but I didn't) and the shake is super good! At least mine was. XD I love ferrero rocher, its my favorite chocolate brand and the shake tasted exactly like one AND it comes with one ball on top! :) Can't wait to try eating her some day! The shakes are stoner approved! :D

Yelp
Ordered for pickup- quickly made and traveled well. Sweet potato fries thin and crispy. Burger tasted delicious and was easy to eat (when taking a bite all the stuff didn't immediately fall out). Like the combination of flavors especially the sauce/cheese/onions. Milkshake was good too- all the mix-in Reese's bits stuck at the bottom. I didn't get to sit there but want to go back and maybe even hang out on the cute patio outside that had string lights and fire pit.
google avatar

Erica Z.

Yelp
This place is more of a 3.5 imo. I got a Groupon ($18 for $27 credit toward food/drinks). But because the two appetizers we ordered were on the more expensive side (I think $8/13), we ended up having to pay $~20 dollars after the Groupon. The smoker burger 7.8/10 Brussel sprouts 3/10 kinda mushy, average flavor Chicken wings - not crispy enough, I don't like tasting the fatty skin; wish it came with more celery/carrots I'd suggest sticking to burgers if you come here!
google avatar

Saira S.

Yelp
The place is decorated cutely with Christmas and retro themes and the staff is very nice, but the burgers were so bland the the tater tots and fries were so salty I felt like I was gonna get a heart attack :/

Amanda S.

Yelp
I ordered some fried assa drumsticks, and they came in small quantities for the price I paid and to make up for it, they came raw, I was disappointed with that.

Yelp
End Of An Era My spouse and I have been coming to Lunchbox Lab for over 10 years, so we've seen it through highs and lows -- I'm trying to take an objective approach to this. TL;DR - We won't be coming back anymore. - Higher prices (expected b/c COVID). - Skeleton crew (expected b/c COVID) - it takes a while to get seated and get your food. - Food quality nowhere close to its heyday - I wish I'd just paid and left without eating. - The waiting staff are clearly trying, but even with their efforts, I did not enjoy the experience. More details For a while Lunchbox Lab kept the quality bar high even if the prices were higher and it took an order of magnitude longer to get seated. At one point in 2021, the time between arrival and getting the food was so long that we stopped going as frequently as before, but at least the food hit the sweet spot... we understood the situation, and accepted the reality. Today's order - 2x Burgers -- they both looked as if they'd had a heavy weight on top of them, so the bread was smashed -- the height of the burger was likely half of what it used to be. I ordered mine medium, and I got a well-done... I think. The bun was dry on the inside, and soggy in the outside bottom. - Tots -- salty. - Onion rings -- not sure if these had been fried multiple times before, but while the flavor of some bits was good, more than half was a glut of batter with some remains of onion. - Shake -- liked it! - Appetizer -- buffalo chicken rollups. These looked like they had been taken out of the freezer, dropped in the fryer, and then thrown into a plate. The bottom was crusty and crumbly. Our server was kind and friendly. You can tell she was clearly trying and had tons to deal with. Even with everything going in, she was still efficient and professional. At the end, our server asked how was the food. We mentioned that it was different from what it used to be. After a disappointing meal today, we've decided to keep the good memories of the place, and not return in the future. Many places do a great burger... Lunchbox had their own identity and ideas executed fairly well. Without a quality burger, Lunchbox might as well close for good since that's their core business. On the way out, I noticed a couple of tables that were yet to be bused -- all had remains of food... something I don't recall ever seeing on my way out.

Linda B.

Yelp
Food was decent, nothing special. However, they charge you more then the menu says. Two 13.99 salads, and soda water and ice tea and small shake was $52! Should have been around $40. Place was dead on a Friday night. It is Labor Day weekend, though.

Yelp
I love this place but hate that I cannot eat inside due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. Part of the experience is looking at all the cool old school metal lunchboxes, interacting with the staff and fellow patrons, etc. I miss all that. We were in Downtown Seattle yesterday and needed a burger fix for takeout for dinner and a lot of places we checked on were closed due to the pandemic or their sites were not clear whether we could order from them or not. We even drove by 8OZ Burger in Capitol Hill and found them boarded up. An earlier call to their phone had a recording which made it sound like they were open for orders. We have had great food from Lunchbox Laboratory before and this one was also delish. We've been to the Bellevue and Redmond Town Center locations but this was our first time ordering from the South Lake Union location. I love the outside elevated firepit they have. There's even coathooks on the lower outside of it! For our food, we ordered the following: The CODFather (fish sandwich, with bacon added!) Cluck Norris (Chicken sandwich) Faux Real - Veggie burger (2) Burgers of the Gods BYO Burger with a Beyond Vegan Patty Each item came with your choice of fries or tots and for an additional price you can upgrade to a "Premium" side like a Caesar Salad or other. My wife upgraded to the Bacon Brussels Sprouts ($3 extra) in place of fries. Sadly when we got home we found they had not included the Bacon Brussels in the order but had an order of fries instead (although they still charged us the $3 premium for the Sprouts). For the Cluck Norris sandwich we'd asked for bacon. The bacon didn't get on the sandwich but we got charged for it. Our bill came to over $125 (including tip) for 6 sandwiches with fries, or tots and no drinks so we don't obviously order out a lot other than pizza, etc. so I was disapointed about these errors and omissions mentioned above. I had to downgrade this review to a 3 star due to those aforementioned issues. Overall, we love the food at this place and the interior decorations. I will return to Lunchbox Lab in the future as soon as we can eat inside the restaurant.

Yelp
I am a occasionally a hard woman to please at times I was to create my own magical plate of goodness but the server here made sure I got what I wanted. Let me start off saying the beef here is kobe beef. Hella good! I ordered the classic 'merican' burger which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions (I excluded that), cheese and a housemade thousand island sauce. s/o to the waiter for making sure it came out exactly how I wanted it. I wanted to try their smoked sauce so I asked if they could add that onto my top bun... Listen, the explosion of sauce magic that transpired at the table was a phenomenal experience for me. I ate the whole burger. You can pick fries or tots as your side. I picked tots (my fav) and upgraded them to their version of tator got nachos. What a meal. Everything was hella good!

Yelp
If you're looking for the lunchbox lab experience for dinner on a Tuesday evening, it's pretty chill! Came here craving some all American food in. This is definitely what the lunchbox lab provides. I ordered just a cheeseburger with some cheese curds. I do like how you can sub multiple different types of sides with your burger. Also ordered a shake which was pretty expensive around seven or eight dollars. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the orange Creamsicle shake which is a pretty original flavor. Burger was OK but not amazing but it definitely satisfied that craving . All in all I would say, it's a great stop if you want something quick and fast with minimal crowds for some American food but it's definitely not the best.

Yelp
Food was meh, charged 3.5% fee without telling me was shady. Charged us $2.5 for replacing impossible patty to beyond patty because they ran out of impossible patty.

Yelp
Came here after work with some co-workers and thought it was ok. Covid-19 service needs improvement. It was hard to get help from servers after you sit down as they disappear and doesn't come back until we were done. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. We got the Alibaba burger and tots, the funyun chicharonnes and the bacon brussel sprouts. Brussel sprouts was too oily for my taste. Chicharonnes was good and light. Burger was also good. The tots was the best part though. Maybe I'll wait when they have happy hour again to come back or just do take out next time.

Benjamin B.

Yelp
I received no condiments on the side & the strips were vent thin and crispy so it was needed. The hamburger I ordered was BYO burger but it had descriptions like the other burgers did. It did have a super fancy picture and that's what caught my eye and I wanted to experiment. Yet the burger didn't even tell me what BYO means so I thought I'd test it and it didn't work out. I'm now assuming it's "build your own" but that may seem regular for everyone but for people who are out of town it's not Norma, or people who don't live near cities. I still recommend, I took my food to go, it look like a nice place to hangout. Was empty because it was pretty early around 5:58 when I ordered my phone. Hopefully next time the chicken strips are better and condiments are received or offered on the side at least.

Yelp
This was our first time trying lunchbox lab and it did not disappoint. I love the create your own burger concept. I am vegetarian so I was able to choose between an impossible or beyond patty. There are extensive topping and sauce choices. Both my fiancé and I loved the grilled onions and thought that they made the burger. Highly recommend that with the mayo aioli. I'd skip the fries and go with the tator tots here. They were really good!!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday with my sisters. Service was great and food was decent. The inside is cute. I ordered tear jerker which was good! That was Probably the best burger we got. My sister got the Alibaba burger and she wasnt a fan of it. She ordered a beef patty but I'm pretty sure she got the lamb patty instead so be careful when you order. Otherwise everything else was decent. I probably wouldn't go back since there wasn't anything too special, but service was great.

Yelp
super expensive food with not so great taste. Never going back again. Gluten-free bun was served frozen at first. We complained about it and the server took it back to "re-heat". The second time, it was not frozen but still icy cold. Plus the bun crumbled apart (well, it's gluten free bun so I cant complain about that) I got alibaba burger with beef and mac daddy merican. The patty in Alibaba burger smelled really bad and gamy even though it was beef. I thought I was eating lamb kebab meat. I went there because of the groupon but it was such a rip-off. Paid $18.5 for $27 worth value of food, but they only took $24 since that's the "pre tax" value. Nevermind they charged 3% processing fee. Also the server just stands right in front of you when you are paying, and their tip starts from 20% after tax price. I couldn't calculate pre tax value because i didnt have the receipt so I had to tip just 20% after tax value (without groupon discount)

Yelp
Food and milkshake were good but I found plastic in my burger. Don't think I'll order here again.

Yelp
Rude staff- ordered take out got two burgers w fries and cheese curds w drinks. They tried to give us the food w out the drinks we paid for since they were out of the lemonade. I had to ask for a replacement of similar price. On top of that i asked for some ketchup and was told he put some in already. I asked for more and he got aggravated and said "I already did". Come to find out I got 2 packets of ketchup. Also one napkin. Thanks for the great service .

Yelp
Doesn't open on time, sub par food and service. Sad. Want them to do better as I have great service pre-Covid

Yelp
This one was hard to rate as I wanted to give one dish 4 stars, one dish 5 stars, 5 stars for the ambiance, 5 stars for the service, and 2 or less stars for a couple dishes. So let's say 3 stars was the average. I had the James Bahn with regular fries, my wife had the Mac & Caesar (half mac and cheese and half caesar salad), and my brother-in-law had the fish and regular fries. We also had a couple of Rainier beers while waiting for our take-out order. For the limited time we were there, while waiting for our order, the staff were on point. As an example, while we were looking at menus at the entrance, 3 different staff came up to see if we needed a table and then provided directions on where to place our take-out order. The ambiance was laid back, with very cool decorations (e.g., lunchboxes), and ample floor space so tables weren't cramped together. I sampled each dish so here's my feedback from worst to first: Mac and Cheese: This was one of the worst mac and cheeses I've ever eaten. Absolutely NO flavor whatsoever and the pasta was a tad overcooked (too soft). It was pretty surprising as there was ample cheese coating each piece of pasta but the cheese simply lacked any taste. Fish: Okay at best. Again, not too much flavor and the batter was a bit soggy (more than what should have been caused by the short walk home). The dipping sauce failed to rescue the fish either. Dogsticks: These were pretty damn good. I'm 99% certain that these were costco hot dogs cut in to smaller pieces and dipped in batter. Hahaha. Or smaller versions of the costco hot dogs. But either way, they were delicious and the batter was amazing. Did not need to use any dipping sauces for these. James Bahn: PERFECTION. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BURGER. I wouldn't change anything about it. The bun was perfect, the meat was amazing, the diced/pickled veggies were out of this world, and the chilli mayo was crack. I would eat one of these each day if I could. The fries were also pretty tasty.

Yelp
A great place to stop by when you're visiting Green Lake. Love the created names they have for their menus! I tried the Bahn, James Bahn which is great if you're not feeling for a heavy burger. I also tried the homage to Dick's Deluxe which you really can't go wrong! Lastly, the Mac Daddy 'meriCAN was my fav just cause I love my big macs! The shakes were really yummy too because how can you go wrong with a shake? The cinnamon toast crunk is a boozy milkshake but its so good and tastes exactly like the cereal. Also the Boston cream donut was great if you're having a sugar craving. Overall, staff was super friendly, but the menu prices were a little on the high end.

Yelp
Burger bar in SLU, near I-5. Pretty spacious with some more seating on a loft level. Went there for weekday lunch with my team at work and it wasn't that busy. For food, we got the fried pickles to start. The batter was too thick and chewy for my tastes. I prefer thinner and more crispy batter. For main course, I got the mushroom burger with garlic fries. The burger was big, and tasted pretty good. The burger patty had good flavor and wasn't dry, the bun held up well. The garlic fries were solid. However, the burger + fries $17 before tax and tip, which is a bit pricey. Good burger, but tad overpriced.

Yelp
Went to Lunchbox on a Saturday late afternoon. We were seated immediately. We ordered some burgers and the mini corn dogs. I got the mushroom Swiss burger. The burger and corn dogs were amazing. I must say, the best burger and corn dog's I've had. By far. My only complaint is I used a Groupon and they didn't take off as much as they were supposed to gif the Groupon, so I have to complain to Groupon. But delicious food, and great service.

Yelp
Wondered why this place was so empty on a Saturday night and figured out why after going. Food was very bland and overpriced. All burgers were over $15 and disappointing. They also charge a 3.5% merchant processing fee which is not listed on the menu and extremely shady. Service was pretty good which is the only reason giving two stars. All of the good reviews are from years ago. The new reviews are all very poor and I agree.

Yelp
Great spot! Went multiple times for the Oreo and banana cream shakes. We preferred it over the other shake places in the area. Tried out a few other shakes on their menu but those were the go to's that I'd recommend. The Mr. Rib sandwich on their experiment menu was great! Very tasty, service was always solid, and nice place with outdoor seating. They have happy hours so keep an eye on those.

Yelp
Our server was very attentive. Our food also came pretty quickly and it was amazing! The burger was slightly overcooked however I'm also a fan of a very rare burger so I tend to always think burgers are overcooked. I had the tots as a side and they were perfect. I would DEFINITELY come back!

Yelp
There really are not enough words to describe how much I loved this place! The employees were all fantastic! Our greeter, Zae, was warm and friendly, our waitress, Madi, had excellent recommendations for drinks and shakes. This is not your typical restaurant, not a typical burger joint, this place is special! We ordered the chicharrones to start - omg so delicious! Hubby had a root beer barrel alcoholic drink and a milk shake. We split a cheese burger with tots. The food was seriously amazing. We liked it so much we ordered it as our Uber eats dinner the next night. Seriously wish you guys would open a Vegas location. This would be a weekly spot for us!

Yelp
Vibe is really cool. Atmosphere is that of a hip hamburger joint. The burgers are highly recommended. However for me the Dicks classic burger was the same as a Red Robin tavern burger but almost 3x more expensive . I was there for lunch and the waiter was not great to say the least. I would go again just for atmosphere/ music. Just wouldn't have such high expectations on the burger
