Detroit’s Best Restaurant Salads | Eater Detroit

"Lunchtime Global caters to downtown’s breakfast and lunch crowds, mostly loyal customers from the First National Building and its neighbors. There’s a lengthy lineup of salads: All classic salads are $5.95, and large ones are $9.25. The loaded Cape Cod Bistro is popular, and includes not only the familiar combo of Mandarin oranges and red onions but also toasted pine nuts, Gorgonzola, and cranberries." - Monica Williams

Google
Delicious, fresh sandwich. I got the atomic turkey sandwich and it was filling. I couldn’t finish that and the soup. The soup was just good. The sandwich was for sure the star of the show. Quite a bit of seating, different snack and drink options (bottled or canned - no fountain)

loved this place, food is fresh and well served, any craving you have you will find it here.

Google
Lunchtime has the best catering for breakfast and lunch! Their quiche is always a hit and a little different than just your regular continental breakfast. It arrives hot and fresh every time. The fruit bowl is so fresh and beautiful and the pastries are always perfect. On time with great customer service - I love Lunchtime. Their soups are amazing and worth the wait in line; sandwiches at large and fresh. I love that they label the sandwiches for catering - it’s so helpful!

Google
fresh soup and salad, made daily and delicious! Very inexpensive, HUGE portions, quality ingredients, a lot to choose from, small business family, woman owned. I LOVE this place, my favorite choice for lunch dowtown.

Google
Hands down the best lunch spot Downtown Detroit!!! The line is usually pretty long but moves much faster than you'd think. This place isn't only affordable, the food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I usually go with the the soup & sandwich for like $9. So far I've had the Atomic Turkey & the Buffalo Chicken wrap, both amazing!! The soup changes daily but at least you know it's fresh, sandwiches are made fresh as well. As for the soups I've had the Seafood Lobster Bisque & the Creamy Chunky Chicken, no flaws in either. The corn bread also SLAPS & only costs $1.

Google
Service was great. Ordered a turkey Sandwich. Got home opened it and It's so messy and just nasty that I'm unable to pick it up.. it's dressing just dripping from everywhere. I'm sooooo not happy. Drove all the way downtown, found parking and now unable to eat my sandwich. It's literally fail apart as soon as I picked it up..

Google
It is really nice to have vegan options. I appreciate it and don't want to sound ungrateful, but these options were not at all tasty. The falafel was microwaved and flavorless. The beautiful crunch of real falafel followed by that unique punch in the face flavor just wasn't here. The falafel tasted like warm cardboard. The soup that was vegan has enough flavor to have me bump the stars from 1 to 2. However, the ambience and service was quite gruff and didn't feel inviting. I would not go back unless I heard they made some changes.

The deli meats are fresh and the soup is so good, I have never had anything I did not like here.

She is Absolutely Special and has a Gift in making such unique soups and sandwiches very Nice person! I have yet to try anything else but will be back to tell you how it goes! The staff are all so Nice and Greets you with a smile! Everyone must try! It's definitely Popular! Thank you Carrie!

Yelp
I just had to remind everyone how much I love Lunchtime Global. Their service and food are top notch. Carrie even took the time too answer my questions with a handwritten note, and that was so nice. They will continue to be my favorite place to order catered breakfast. The Quiche! Order The Quiche!

Yelp
Lunchtime global is one of my favorite lunchtime spots, but I lowkey have a bone to pick with them. If you order a wrap why they gonna wrap it like a blunt? Everytime I get a sandwich from them the entire wrap falls out of the bottom of the damn sandwich. & this aint no one time thing it happens everytime!!! I stay going back to the crib covered in sandwich juice & yall are just wrong for that.
google avatar

Yelp
The classic sandwich is huge! Glad I didn't get the whole sandwich. The soup bowl and sandwich combo is only 10.99. Ton of food for a good price. The Turkey Reuben is very good. Tons of Turkey. I'm not impressed with the chicken pot pie soup. Flavor was good but there's not much in it. Just a lot of thick chicken broth. Almost like cream of chicken with an extremely underwhelming amount of chicken, peas and carrots. No potatoes. I LOVE the pasta salad. Overall like this place and will go back.
google avatar

Yelp
A rotating selection of soups. All stellar and veg& GF options. Salad menu is strong as is the sandwich game. The service is fast and friendly even when dealing with monster downtown lines. I wish they were open seven days a week and later hours and that is my only critique. But we can't have it all. There is a dining area but best works as a grab and go. It is behind a revolving door and somewhat tucked back from the sidewalk but worth it If you are looking for a quick bite near the river walk.

Yelp
Generous portions and always delicious food. Like the name suggests, they're a lunchtime restaurant but I totally recommend them. The food never fails and you can always expect great service from the team. If you're visiting Detroit for a conference, game, music festival, or the Grand Prix, I suggest paying this place a visit for a good sandwich, soup, or salad.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Staff is very friendly and quick. Their chicken salad sandwich is excellent. Disappointing on their chicken noodle soup, it was heavily spiced with black pepper. I wish when preparing foods people kept in mind food allergies. Hated dumping a whole cup of soup out.

Emberly V.

Yelp
It should say you close at 3:00, since that's when you actually close. Also, Google says you close at 5:30, that should be updated too.. off to Zoup. I still love your soup

Yelp
A very good spot on the ground floor of the First National building in downtown Detroit. I have eaten there since it opened years ago, and recently had the pleasure to be able to lunch there several times over a couple of weeks. Incredible individually-prepared salads, sandwiches made with house-baked bread, and a rotating menu of homemade soups. This place has been around since the late 1990s, and for good reason. While there are the familiar basics, as the name might suggest, they serve an essentially international fare such as tahini-soaked falafel and oven-roasted turkey with creamy brie sandwiches and African peanut soup. If that's too exotic, they will always have something more familiar, such as homemade chicken noodle soup or a Reuben sandwich. I've had the Greek, Michigan, and Copenhagen salads, numerous soups, and several sandwiches and was never disappointed. Salads and sandwiches are offered in either half or whole sizes. Large salads in full size are just under $10, but are very large. Because everything is made individually, expect to wait in line if you come at peak lunch hour. They are not open for dinner (closes at 5:00 p.m.) and are closed on weekends.

Yelp
Listen: IDK WHAT KIND OF WHITCHCRAFT YALL PERFORMING OVER THESE SALADS. But this boy is bussin. This might Top the Cape salad- my previous favorite.Who made this salad? Call me. We need to talk. 100/1 would recommend!

Yelp
Good quick lunch option. The full wraps and sandwiches are huge and worth every penny.

Yelp
Amazing vegetarian and gluten free food! Great for the meat eaters too! This place is consistently good!!!

Yelp
I stopped in and got the bowl of soup and sandwich combo. The cherry chicken salad sandwich was unbelievable and the white chicken lasagna soup was also amazing. The girl working behind the counter was super friendly as well. Going back today!

Kelly B.

Yelp
I really want to give them a good review. But the consistency has been terrible. I like the bistro sandwich and sometimes it has a nice big chunk of Brie (how it should be), and sometime so little you can't taste it. It makes a BIG difference the days they go "light" :(

Yelp
Lunchtime Global is a beacon of reliable mediocrity in an endless downtown sea of corporate-friendly lunch options. The great things include a full spread of sandwich and salad options. The staff are excellent and the service is fast. There's a broad range of soup options, too, ranging from objectively delicious by any metric to "eyyo what else we got in the back to throw in this pot? also, add a bunch of salt to this and call it a special." It's a great spot for a casual lunch meeting or appointment, or a place to sit and eat, avoiding both poles of "grimy fast foody" or "precious/sterile trendy." I've been coming here for years with mixed success. It is right on the edge-- if the quality were slightly better, for example, or if the prices were slightly lower, it'd be unequivocally great.

Yelp
So simple, yet so good. I finally tried this place and initially was scared at the long line to order. The place is in a terrible location and the line literally wrapped in the hallway outside the restaurant. But the staff is quick and even a line 15-20 people deep only took a few minutes. The food is excellent. I had their cheesy tater jalapeno soup and it was absolutely delicious and creamy. I definitely don't want to know how many calories that was! I also had their atomic turkey sandwich, which is basically just a simple turkey sandwich but with some sort of creamy sriracha-based sauce, and that was great, too. There's just really nothing fancy about this place, but they do the basics so, so well. This is definitely one of the better "quick lunch" places downtown, and I'll be back to try more of their soups and sandwiches, since so many of them sounded good.

Yelp
Detroit's best kept secret (well not for those working in downtown Detroit) for breakfast and lunch. Lunch Time Global, also referred to as LTG, is best known for their fresh sandwiches and soups. Made fresh daily, you are given several soup and salad options to choose from. They even have a salad station filled with salads that include pasta salads and cheese and hummus snack packs. They offer vegan and vegetarian options as well. There is something available for every diet. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they open early to serve breakfast. I ordered a spinach croissant that had tomato and feta cheese in it. It was the most rich, yet divine sandwich I had in a long time. I came back at least two more times to get the same sandwich. Simply delicious and well worth the price tag.

Yelp
Very surprised I'm into this place! Usually restaurants in office buildings can rely on their convenience to stay afloat but I really think this place is tasty. My opinions are limited though because I get the same thing every time - southwestern salad and soup. The greens are always fresh, though the other parts vary a bit - sometimes the crispy strips are too crunchy or the bacon is really hard, but overall, it stands up well to expectation. I like the cilnatro dressing for it, but what I really want is the jalapeno ranch, which they seem to be out of a lot. Over the month-long period during the year when I work in the building, I probably eat here three times a week. All their soups are good. I tend to go for the creamy ones and have yet to be disappointed. Spicy soups are actually spicy, which I love, but a potato jalapeno stands out in my memory as one that was aaaalmost too spicy for me. Almost. The line gets really long during lunch and usually goes out the door, but it moves surprisingly fast. Just overall a really reliable lunch for under ten dollars.
google avatar

Shanel S.

Yelp
A go-to lunchtime spot for myself and what seems like the majority of professionals in the Downtown Detroit area. Don't be threatened by any long lines because they move through it fairly quickly. Plus, it gives you time to look at their large variety of soups while you wait. As other reviews have mentioned, they have quite the selection of soups. Anywhere from a spicy chicken chili, to a unique chicken noodle, Parmesan chicken, spinach and artichoke dip, tomato and the list goes on and on...and we're still just talking about soup! They also have rotating hot bar items, cold pasta salads, fruit, cheese and cracker trays and a short list of sandwiches on homemade breads. The deals will also reel you in if the food options haven't. For a bowl of soup, whole sandwich and a drink...you're paying less than $10. Shooooot, I'll take that with a brownie please!
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
Walk past this place at lunchtime on any given weekday and the line is always out the door. I hopped in the line one day and I found out why! Fresh? Check! Good? Check! Fast? Check! Around a dozen varieties of homemade soup each day including vegan options. While I like many of them, my very favorite choice is the chicken and wild rice. It's jus so savory and rich. You can get a cup, bowl or even a quart of your fave. And then there are the fresh made sandwiches and salads. You. And get a combo made up of any tie soup, salad or sandwiches as well. And if you're feeling extra hungry let's talk about the home cooked daily entree special that usually includes a meat dish, pasta, rice or potatoes, and veggies. Yummy! Finally there's the cold case with a variety of cold pasta salads, hummus and cheeses. They even have grab and go snacks like chips and sweets. And you can take out or eat in. So, next time you pass by the First National Building at lunchtime and you see a line winding out the door onto Congress St, hop in line and find out why so many people think Lunchtime is a local fave.

Yelp
Have been here a couple of times and if you do not get here early, you are going to wait. The couple things I have gotten here I was not very impressed. Both times the bread has not been very fresh, and it seems to take forever to get through the line. Because it has been busy, the staff seems frustrated.
google avatar

Ginger A.

Yelp
Great value. Food was good and price was right. Soup was a bit off in taste but sandwich was amazing. Staff were friendly. Long line at lunch but it went fast.
google avatar

Ava Y.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 5 years and the food has continued to get more expensive and of a lesser quality. Their prices in store don't match the prices they list online which is odd since they update their website daily. I give them chance after chance because they're convenient to my office but they can never get my order right and half the time they drown the $9.00 salads in dressing so they're not edible.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times... Used to be a lunch-time regular. However, my reviews are across the board - sometimes five stars and sometimes one - so a 3 it is. 5-star occasions: Food selections are great. Everyone loves the African Peanut Soup. Soups all the way. 1-star occasions (two of them): Coworkers and I got food poisoning. Happened twice... This place is a gamble!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
If you work downtown in Detroit and you don't know about Lunchtime Global - then you better educate yourself. It's nothing fancy, but it is lunchtime staples done extraordinarily well. Soups, salads, and sandwiches. Doesn't sound all that exciting, but they do each one of these amazingly! I would eat lunch here everyday if it wasn't economically unwise! The lines are typically pretty long during peak lunch hours, but don't turn around and walk the other way. They cruise through these lines with focused professionalism. Even though they are moving quickly they also are very friendly and helpful. Take a friend to lunch here - you both won't regret it!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I am a soup fanatic and I'm yet to have one I am not a fan of. You can also check their website for their daily soup specials to avoid having to look through the long list when you are in line. My favorites are the Creamy Tomato Basil and Cream of Mushroom soup. You can also ask for a sample of soup if you are unsure. Always hot and quick to be served. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the service being hit or miss! Some days the employees look miserable, and you almost feel like a pain when they are taking your order. Also have had a couple of instances when the employee that is handing out the soup has too many, and has given me the wrong order, so be mindful of that! Dropping my review from 4 to 3. The past few times I have gone the soups have been way over seasoned (salt, pepper, etc...) and hard to eat.
google avatar

Tanya T.

Yelp
This place USED to be good about 5 years ago and has steadily gone down hill. Just spend close to $9 on a soup and salad combo that were basically inedible. The soup (broccoli cheese) was more like a thick sauce, I felt like I was eating scoops of cheese sauce with huge chunks of broccoli that were still crunchy. The salad, a Caesar, was extremely soggy. It was like they mixed it with water instead of dressing. Extremely disappointing and a waste of money. They need to work on their quality ASAP, and also some of their employees who sloppily put together the food. There are plenty of new places opening up that blow them out of the water.
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
One of my coworkers turned me on to this place when I started a new job nearby. The food is fantastic. I really enjoy all of their sandwich specials. They also have a great selection of soups. I had one dud but the rest have been outstanding. The only down side of this place is that the line at prime lunch time can be excessively long. In fact, at times I have bailed out and headed to Subway next door because I didn't have time to wait. If they could figure out a way to move people through more quickly, it would definitely be a 5 star.
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
Long line. Quick service. I'm new to working Downtown. So I headed here with a co-worker. When we arrived o my word was the line long. Holy smokes. I thought it would take forever to get service. I was wrong. The time that I spent in line, ordering my meal and paying was probably a total of ten minutes. Which I was very happy with. There was limited contact with the staff. What interaction I did have with them was lovely. All were quick workers and got you what you wanted in a short time. None of them were rude by any means. I ordered a Turkey Rueben with no cheese. The sand which was so thick! Sadly, when I unwrapped my sandwich the bread was soggy due to the amount of thousand island dressing. I also couldn't really taste the coleslaw, but I knew it was there. Overall it was a good sandwich. I'll probably explore the menu more though next time I come in.

Yelp
For the first two weeks after I started working in downtown Detroit I was actually scared that I would starve to death. Or be forced to go to Jimmy John's every day... forever. I couldn't figure out how there could be so many office buildings, with so many people, and no options at all for lunch. I mean, where were those people eating? Or were they all packing lunchboxes like industrious sixth graders? It just didn't make any sense. Then I found Lunchtime Global (which is literally not very easy to do-- it's around the corner from where it should be and generally covered by scaffolding). It has since become a three day per week destination. LG has a selection of fresh, made-to-order salads and sandwiches. It also has daily specials, generally including a quiche and a panini. Occasionally the special is Keith's standout chicken meatloaf. Those days are very good for me. But what is better than good are the soups. LG offers a half-dozen varieties per day, with a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and meaty. They range from your standby favorites (butternut squash) to your new favorites (african peanut) to the downright adventurous (polish dill pickle) . And I would venture to say that all of the soups are handmade, though nobody's ever said it to my face. My only advice (for you, not them)--- get here before 1:30 pm for lunch, because once the soups are gone, they are gone for real. And, while I rarely comment on staff (since people don't go to a bad restaurant for good service), I will here. They are awesome to the last. And nice as can be.
google avatar

Lynn H.

Yelp
Lunchtime Global offers more unique sandwich and soup options than you can shake a stick at! If you're a carnivore, go for the Jive Turkey sandwich. It is mouthwateringly delicious with melt-in-your-mouth smoked turkey, romaine, tomato, and mucky duck mustard. Are you a vegetarian? Then go for the Sweet Potato & Red Pepper sandwich. YUM! But if that doesn't appeal, perhaps falafel will. An eclectic variety of soups are offered, from dill pickle to Tuscan chickpea, to African peanut, they are all tempting. A 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup only sets you back $7.25, which is a great price because the 1/2 sandwich here equals a full sandwich anywhere else. Oh - and their salads are fresh and good, too. Try it; you'll like it!

Yelp
This place is a Quicken Loans hive when it comes to lunch. There is always a line out the door. Always. No exceptions (if you've gone at a time where there hasn't been a lice, please hit me up with the time you went because I don't believe you). The food offering is actually delicious. I'm not the biggest "sandwich" type of girl, but that sweet potato sandwich. YOU GUYS. So good. And spicy. I also ordered a Caesar salad. It was mediocre at best, but definitely wasn't bad. Check out their rotating soup selection. I hate soup, but I was almost tempted to try some of their offerings, which is saying something. I'm hitting this place with 3 stars for two big upsets. This place is way over priced for the amount of food you get. I got a half of a sandwich and a salad... and let's just say, I'm lucky it was payday. The quality is there, but it's definitely not the cheapest option. Also, the first time I went there, I didn't know how to order and the works got frustrated with me. The place was buzzing and it was very hard to hear, and it was easy to tell I was getting on the worker's nerves. Sorry bro, post better direction. Will I go there again? Of course. It's a stones throw away from my office. Will I make sure to know exactly what I want before going in? Absolutely.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
I love everything about this place! The food is FRESH. Sandwiches and salads made right before your eyes. Lines out the door move quickly. Somewhat overpriced but I don't even care. My favorites are the white chicken chili and Asian no chicken noodle soup. Favorite sandwich is the Tony Sacco. Favorite salad is the Copenhagen!!!!!!!! I would come here every day if I could.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I've been a customer for years, never really had much to complain about. The past two times I've been to LTG, my sandwiches took a ridiculously long time to make, which was a little annoying. But then yesterday, I stood there waiting for my order for about 7 minutes even after my friends had already got and paid for their orders. I got back to my office and opened the sandwich, and it was so poorly wrapped and slimy and disgusting that I am still nauseous thinking about it. The whole experience completely ruined my day.
google avatar

Becca B.

Yelp
Popular place for soups. I really like that they are homemade ams there are different soups daily. Overall, the ones I've had are decent or very good. My main issue is that quite a few times, the soups are over salted or over peppered, which is widely agreed upon in my office.
google avatar

Joe N.

Yelp
Went for lunch to a get a quick bowl of soup. Lunchtime Global usually has a line up in front of the restaurant. While the line is long, if you order soups you can get by quickly. There are a lot of choices for soups and sandwiches. I had the Korean BBQ soup, it tasted great and the price was just right. I would recommend them and return back to try out the different daily soups!
google avatar

Charlene A.

Yelp
The food is always good and the service is quick. They do need to do something about the drink cooler. The drinks are never very cold.

Yelp
Catering to Downtown Detroit's breakfast and lunch hour crowds, Lunchtime Global (located in Campus Martius' First National Building) offers a wide variety of sandwiches, daily specials and amazing soups for the most discriminating of tastes. Lunchtime Global may be one of those hidden little gems that you'd normally wander right past. And truth be told, had I not started my new job in the First National Building, I'd probably have written this little bistro off as "just another sandwich shop." This spot always has an interesting quiche of the day, great homemade bagels and some really interesting and quick sandwich options. When I'm not being the carnivore I normally am, I opt for a half sandwich and soup combo. Usually, I go with the Kingpin (Fresh buffalo mozzarella, roasted red peppers, red onions, tomato slices and basil pesto on Panini) or the The Jerk (Jamaican-style chicken breast, with tomato, red onions, romaine lettuce and garlic herb mayonnaise). This place also has a great selection of daily soups (usually four) that always includes a vegan and and a gluten free option. My favorites are the Thai Peanut and the Black Bean. They also make a pretty mean Boston Clam Chowder. Prices are reasonable, the staff is really quick, good with substitutions and you can even call your order in ahead of time. If you're not up for one of the menu items they have a great Ala Cart bar with everything from yogurt parfaits to ready made salads and chips. Quick, quality food for the businessman or woman on the go. Keep it up Lunchtime Global. You've got plenty of fans in Campus Martius!

Devon W.

Yelp
The food is fine. They've got plenty of options for all dietary restrictions. However, every time I come here the employees are screaming at each other and fighting. One time an employee was standing outside screaming to the security guard about how "fucking dumb" customers are because they don't understand the app ordering process (while there was a line out the door). I turned around and left because she was making such a scene and was so rude. Not a place I want having my business. It's a very uncomfortable experience and honestly, completely unprofessional. If this place wasn't at the corner of my office, I would not come here. Subway is across the hall and that's where I'll be getting my lunch today.
google avatar

Adam J.

Yelp
Delicious soups and sandwiches. They always have half a dozen great soups to pick from; a few rotate and a few are always up there. Great prices. Fast service. The panini are tasty but they aren't made to order, so might be kind of lukewarm by the time you get one. I don't mind; it means the flavors are nicely melded and the dressing/grease is soaked into the bread! An easy walk for anyone working in the area around Campus Martius and the Ren Cen.

Remy R.

Yelp
The young lady was trying to multi-task and got my order completely incorrect and when I informed her of this she got an attitude. The food is great but the service is less than desirable.
google avatar

Rhonda L.

Yelp
I love this place ! Great soup for every taste : Vegetarian. Gluten free. Low fat. They have great soup for all My favorites African peanut and chicken pot pie

Luke H.

Yelp
I'll start by stating I've only ever gotten the soup. The soup is incredibly tasty with fresh ingredients; however, it is so salty. I usually have to drink two glasses of water with one bowl of soup. If they simply lowered the amount of salt they put in the soup, it would be some of the best I've had.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
I wish I could comment on all the amazing sandwiches, but since this pregnant lady isn't eating lunch meat, I sadly haven't experienced LTG to the fullest yet. However, I did try their daily special of pasta and veggies with chicken, which was really good. They also have a nice breakfast spread in the morning, including pastries, Naked Juice, fruits, yogurt, etc. I look forward to trying it out more thoroughly :)
google avatar

Ben C.

Yelp
This is soup heaven! Always a plentiful amount of soups to chose from. The turkey reuben is outstanding too. There is usually a bit of a wait, but it moves quickly.
google avatar

Sommer B.

Yelp
This place is amazing and a great option for everyone. Personally I love their vegan soups, had the tofu coconut curry and I wish I had gotten the bowl instead of the cup. This soup is amazing!

Angelica S.

Yelp
Lunchtime global is my favorite lunch spot during the work week! I've been going almost every day for over a year now. Tons of gluten-free options (GF soups, GF bread, sides/cold case items clearly labeled with ingredients). Staff is SO friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and delicious! Prices are extremely competitive. Even when the line is out the door, you can expect to be served within minutes - they really keep it moving!
google avatar

Dawn K.

Yelp
For the most part the food is delicious and the soups are as well. I do have to say that at times when I order the soup it is lacking the meat, for example today I ordered the "greek chicken stew", there is literally not one piece of chicken to be found. That will happen with their chili on occasion as well, no beef in their beef chili. If you are going to have soups that state that there is meat in them, there should actually be some. Not sure if this is their way to cut cost but it's dissatisfying to say the least when you are expecting something that you paid for and it's not there.
google avatar

Ted S.

Yelp
LTG is THE soup place in downtown Detroit: bargain prices, and fast, efficient service, so even if you see a line out the door, which is normal, it moves quickly, and the wait is never long. Ask for the frequent diner card cuz you will be back, often. The spicy are options are really spicy (picante), too hot for some but I love it. The only thing I would change is that some of the soups have too much starch (rice or potatoes) in them for my liking.

Yelp
I would eat here everyday if I could. Their soups are amazing and they change out the menu daily with different items. My favorite is the chicken lemon rice and I always get a turkey #2 as well. The woman at the cash register is very sweet. There is usually a long line, but they move through it quickly!
