"More Feast of the Seven Fishes can be found at Lungomare in Jack London Square. Scallop and clam risotto, cioppino, and more can be found on the special holiday menu. The prix fixe menu is $65 per person with optional $85 wine pairings, with some a la carte dishes available." - Ellen Fort

"Seven years ago, Oakland was still fairly early on in its rise to becoming one of the buzziest food destinations in the entire country, and the Jack London Square neighborhood was largely seen as a culinary non-entity. When restaurateur Chris Pastena’s seafood-oriented Italian spot on the Jack London waterfront, Lungomare, opened in 2013, it helped pave the way for a new wave of better, more ambitious restaurants in the area. But last week, Berkeleyside Nosh reports, the restaurant closed its doors for good." - Luke Tsai

Enjoyed sitting by the harbor for a nice meal! Hostess was very nice and the menu on Sunday has nice brunch options along with pizza and pasta. Good food but service and cooking was so slow. Waitress didn't bring bread for our long wait till we asked. But over we enjoyed the meal

This is one of my favorite spots to go on the weekend. I love the ambience! The entire layout of this restaurant is wonderful. There's outside seating along the water and inside there's larger tables with plenty of room so your not bumping into your neighbor. I always sit on the patio facing the walkway so I can people watch. They have a real cozy couch to relax on with a gas heated table to keep you warm. Very romantic. The menu isn't large but they have plenty to choose from. I always get the flat bread pizza! One of my favs! They also have a pretty good wine list! Cocktails seem to be their specialty! The service is phenomenal! Never a rude employee! Everyone always has a smile on their face! I've never had to wait to long for service. They constantly check on you. I definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if your going on a romantic date!

Great place to relax, catch up with family, eat, drink, and celebrate special occasions like birthday anniversary etc. We had the prime rib, pork chop, fish, salads, pastas, red and white wine, many beers on tap, great dessert selection, and most of all great service and lots of laughs. Oakland’s city tap water was delicious and refreshing too. There’s an outdoor patio I’d recommend if the weather is nice. You won’t see the sunset directly from here though as it’s on the other side of the building but the entertainment usually live music or dj from surrounding Jack London Square will keep you dancing. This restaurant is directly connected to the waterfront hotel (now with Hyatt) so you can go straight to your room using the inside corridors. Instead of valet parking nearby why not take the Amtrak train which stops one block away. Or better yet the ferry from Alameda or San Francisco which drops you off even closer. We will be back here for sure.

The food is good. Drinks are okay. Amazing views inside and outside with heated patio next to Jack London Courtyard. Beautiful space to watch the live music, dancing, taco trucks and art wares for sale! Very Oakland or Oaklandish! I will say tho on 1st weekends it's a madhouse there as far as service outside. They do have live music or dj's check the website for dates and times.

Stopped in for a quick bite before taking tge ferry to the city. The service was outstanding, the prosciutto plate was fantastic, sand my craft cocktail was the perfect balance of sweet and smokey. The view on the patio was amazing!

I gave Lungomare 1 star because the waiter was wonderful. This goes down as one of my worst meals. Why? You could not even see the pasta it was so small and the white wine seafood sauce, bland!. All the food was cold, flavorless and frankly, I would be hardpressed to believe an experienced chef created this menu. We had to send the goose back for fish becsuse try as we might we could not get a bite of the rubbery, tough meat down without choking. I am accustomed to fine dining in Miami, NYC, NJ, SF and even Europe. so I can be very forgiving. This meal was unforgiveable, especially at the prices. I would not give them a second chance unless it was free.

We had dinner here for Oakland Restaurant Week. The food and service were great! We ordered extra antipasti in addition to the ORW menu.

Phenomenal Food and Amazing Staff. Menu seems to always be evolving with seasonal local ingredients, yet it has enough standard favorites to provide consistency. Certainly a slightly refreshed take on some timeless Italian delicacies... it's a good value all the time, but be sure to check out the special Sunday Dinner with Bottomless Wine. Yum, just yum.
