2 Days in Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion

"In the Saint-Pierre district, aperitifs and tapas come with a cellar of over 1,300 wines from Bordeaux and beyond; Lim, the sommelier, guides with weekly selections by the glass and wines of the month, and there’s even an annex on the opposite side of the street—a grocery store and cellar specializing in Burgundy wines." - The MICHELIN Guide

Very nice restaurant with tables on a small quiet square with green trees. Service was very careful and warm. We had the possibility of tasting wines before choosing. Food was good but not exceptional. Actually, a risotto with black rice was too much cooked. Selection of wines is great. Overall can be recommended.

Great wine, staff were really friendly. I find it amazing that they do their own wine, one person in the kitchen, open plan, small menu. The black pudding and chickpea starter was fantastic, mushroom pie was also good, just a hit and miss with the pollock as the side was on a separate plate (even though they were one dish), the side was better than the fish itself. Would visit again!

We had a great night and a wonderful dinner. The sausage and the Paris Brest was quite stunning. Come here also for the wine list. It didn't disappoint us. A lot of references and good price too.

Everything was amazing, from the duck pate and chickpea spring roll to the cote de boeuf and tuna. The wine selection is incredible and everyone is incredibly helpful and fun. It’s a great place to get dinner in Bordeaux!!!

Traditional fare and an amazing wine list. In an unpretentious service. Recommend!

First of all the location is terrible. You have to leave the city centre,it’s approximately 30 minutes walk from the centre. We went to the restaurant for lunch. When we arrived there were two staff and one them was inside the kitchen. The other one was dealing with the shelves and there was a very loud music in the place. She didn’t notice us and we had to talk loudly because of the music .She yelled at us .We just tried to explain that we would like to eat lunch. She kept going on behaving rudely .She even didn’t show us a table. We went out and sat at a table. She looked at us in a weird mood and we asked for the menu. She came with the menus thanks god she didn’t throw them to our heads. She gave us a lecture about being kind but she was the one who was supposed to be kind.In the end we gave up and left the place without eating in fact we felt unsafe about the service.

So far so good, but we open two bottles of Volnay were both in a good condition.
