LUPE

A great mexican experience! The quality of product is very good, with a nicely curated presentation. Quantities are a a bit small so we ordered four dishes for two, our favorite was the tacos de cochinita. The service was kind and fast, they brought nachos and water just when we arrived (not charged), something you rarely find in NL :) Place is small but with a good terrace, feels cozy and homemade. I recommend having the full experience with margarita and mezcal, both super good. It’s pricey but also special

Mixed feelings sadly! We had dinner at Lupe, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and service. Everyone was welcoming, the place warm and cozy, and I instantly felt like home (we could order and chat in Spanish too!) They have multiple vegan and veggie options, which is super nice and the reason we came here. The drinks, frijoles, enchilada, and dessert were quite nice! 💕 The quesadilla, salad, and tacos felt underwhelming to me. Not bad, just very simple flavours. But I think my biggest problems were portion size and price. I left quite hungry, and had to eat some more food when I got home. I would have easily spent 55€+ per person to feel full 😞 I don’t mind splurging in restaurants from time to time, but for plant-based street food to have this price it would have to be either a lot bigger or more elaborate (the 14€ mini quesadilla was disappointing). I’d love to come back again, cause the vibes were amazing, people so sweet, and I’d like to try more items. But I would prioritise going to Bacalar or Madre if I had to choose 💔

Lupe was delicious. I had high expectations, and it definitely met them. I’m not Mexican, I’m from Colombia, but I love tacos. These are on my radar so far – a really good place. The margaritas were also tasty, and the service was excellent.

Great service and good vibes. Raw tuna and sea bass tacos are super fresh, juicy and flavorful. Nachos are also good. Margaritas are okay. Too sweet and don’t taste alcohol. The beef tacos are also okay ish, especially compared with the fish tacos.

Even though it’s a late discovery, I’m glad that I visited this place in the beginning of the year and now I can safely say that it’s one of the best in the city. True Mexican food not just tacos but with everything! Everything tastes incredibly delicious! Keep going back! Addicted!

Finally a place that serves authentic delicious Mexican food! I’m so happy I found this spot, this will definitely be my go to place for Mexican food. I loved the beef taco and the margarita was generous and tasty.

Always a dream to come to LUPE! Even being gluten free they accomodate the full menu and even have gf chocolate cake!! Food is just amazing!

If you want authentic Mexican food, Lupe is the best restaurant in Ámsterdam. The first time I ate there, I tried the enchiladas de Mole and always returned to try a new dish. I doubt every dish is full of flavour and prepared with lots of love. I always come back, and everything they prepare in the kitchen is fantastic. As a Latina, the attention and care of Pedro and Juan make me feel close to home, making this restaurant even more special. The owners and the staff always make it a must-visit in Amsterdam because of their kindness, good service and fantastic atmosphere, especially when you get homesick. Lupe will always be one of my favourite places in Amsterdam.
