Tex-Mex Chain Lupe Tortilla’s First DFW Location Opens In Irving | Eater Dallas

"This new Irving outpost at 3131 Regent Boulevard is a branch of a Houston Tex‑Mex chain featuring colorful interiors and a relaxed patio with Adirondack chairs by a fountain. The extensive 60-item menu spotlights sizzling platters of beef and chicken fajitas and classic Tex‑Mex staples—tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and burritos—while also offering dedicated sections for seafood, carne asada, chicken and vegetarian plates; house-made flour and corn tortillas are available. Having officially joined the area's crowded queso scene, the restaurant rounds out meals with frozen margaritas and Mexican beer and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My group stopped in for a quick lunch after passing by several times and wow. It was and early lunch but service was exceptional. Extremely attentive. Polite. They offered a sample of the fajita beef as first timers the food was great and delicious. Even the lunch menu portions were huge. It was a pleasant surprise around so many mediocre overpriced casual sit down restaurants. The staff and manager came by often to check on us. And the tortillas are as good as someone’s abuelitas lol. Great food!

This place does not let me down absolutely love it. Everything i have tried has been phenomenal but the steak fajitas and table side guac are a must. Great food, great atmosphere 👌 tell me what you think.

I have zero complaints about this place. The hostess asked if it was our first time there. Since it was, we were given a complimentary steak to try. The foos was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was spectacular.

First time trying, Lupe tortilla in the DFW area, and it did not disappoint. I had tried it in Houston several times. Food was good and portions are big. Chips and salsa are also very good , so overall it was a good experience. Prices are average parent $15-$20 per plate) and their fajitas are a bit more expensive but worth it. Our server was a trainer and he was awesome.

My wife and I hit a LOT of TexMex restaurants. If we're in the mood for the fajita combo of beef, chicken & shrimp, there is NOTHING BETTER! Get both of the dipping sauces they offer, they are the best to drizzle over the meat!

Fantastic TexMex. The salsa has a nice kick. The enchiladas are great. Love their tortillas. I had the shrimp enchiladas. The cheese they use on those is amazing. Mmmmmm. We had great service. They were fairly quick. They got everything on our group's order right. The sopapillas came with many topping choices, like chocolate, honey and strawberry. Those were a hit. It's a nice place. It did get a bit loud, but everyone was having a great time. I hadn't been there in ages, but I'm glad we gave them another try. We'll be back to try brunch.

Excellent all around!!! Excellent happy hour and the margaritas and food were fantastic. I have no complaints about my experience here. The salsas were to die for. The service was top notch. Everything was clean. I highly recommend this place! Update 3.20: Came back for a second time and couple weeks later and it was insanely good. The charro bean salsa stuff is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Outstanding food. Outstanding drinks. Outstanding service at the bar. Moving to Dallas 3 weeks ago, this will be my go to for mexican cuisine.

Everything was fine. The margarita wasn't strong at all and just felt like a mix. The shrimp campechana was very good and flour tortillas so good and fresh feeling. It isn't necessarily drawing me back quickly, but I'd go and try other things if I went with others.
