Lupita's Ice Cream

Took a small group to get them a cool treat. We stood there for a few minutes without any acknowledgement. 3 employees not one greeted or acknowledged my group. No menu o price list posted. Not very good customer service.

The last time I went here was nearly 5 years ago with my father and brother. I came back today and they're still as good as they were back then. And I can tell you for certain that they make an outstanding mangonada. Absolutely one of the best Mexican ice cream places in the Atlanta area.

I had been wanting to try an authentic mangonada. I found this place and decided to give it a try. When I walked in, there was a sour smell but it’s an ice cream place so maybe that’s where it came from. It took a couple minutes for someone to my order but no biggy. The woman tried to be kind. I don’t think they’re used to seeing highly melanated people in their establishment. What I’m most disappointed about was the how the mangonada was made and the quality. The base was some type of sugary mango sorbet. It wasn’t good at all. I expected it to be made with fresh, blended mangoes 😞. Some of the mango pieces were so mushy I spit them out. Other pieces still has mango skin on them. I ended up picking through it for good mango pieces and pouring most of it out. Maybe I’ll try a something else from there but I’m honestly not pressed for it especially after that smell… the mangonada gets no stars.

Delicious treats and friendly environment. I ordered pecan milkshake and scoop of pecan ice cream 🍨. I didn’t realize this 💎was , here and has been opened for nine years!!

Yummy and unqiue flavors. One of the cashiers heard my friends and I exploring flavors ans fixed us a cup to taste which was very sweet. Apparently tajin is good on everything including sorbet. The tamirand slush was delightful.

Always good service and always good ice cream at reasonable prices.

I love their snacks and ice-cream. They have lots of great things.

Got to love Lupita's ice cream for the fresh fruit do they provide you and the ice cream and desserts that us Mexicans love since were Mexicans there's only one correct way to eat fresh fruit as the picture below

If you're looking for quality Mexican ice cream, look no further. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this gem a few months ago. It's a family run business, and I see the same faces every time I go. They have a large selection of ice creams (both water-based and dairy-based), paletas, and other Hispanic treats. I love getting the mango-chamoyada. It has the best ratio in the Atlanta area. It starts with fresh mango, chamoy, tamarind bits, and chili pepper followed by a few scoops of mango ice cream then another layer of fresh mango, chamoy, tamarind bits, and chili pepper and finished off with a tamarind straw. It's the BOMB. Their other items don't disappoint either. They have paletas which are popsicles made of very fresh ingredients, similar to King of Pops offerings. My friends always get the elote in a cup, and fruit-based items.

This is really good I got the rainbow cup . It's nere a barber shop. But I really recommend you guys to go !!

I absolutely love this place, I do wish they were more consistent with their hours but I think I've gotten the hang of it. Don't go anywhere around 12, I've gone numerous time and it's always close. When I go around 3pm, they are open, it is a small business and I've only seen the owner when I go there so she may need a bit of help. Wherever I go I go for the chamoyadas, they are so tangy and delicious. My boyfriend likes their strawberry cheesecake ice cream and recommends that one for newbies.

I found a rose in the concrete! I mean where else on the south side of ATLANTA are you going to find your favorite Mexican treats?! This little spot reminds me of living in Los Angeles Lupitas could easy be in Lincoln heights. When you stop by make sure you get yourself a coctel de fruita and chocolate banana!

This is the spot whenever I need a true Mexican treat! Love that everything is fixed fresh to order! They will also modify the different items to your taste. The owner is super sweet and always a pleasure to interact with. Wish I had some pics of the Mangonada or Pina Loca, so amazing!

Love this place and the fresh fruit and tamarind candies for toppings. My teenagers and toddlers loved it too, and they are sometimes hard to please. Very friendly staff, willing to explain the menu in detail, to someone who does not speak or read enough Spanish to understand it.

I discovered Lupita's when I dropped off a pair of shoes at the nearby shoe repair shop. When I entered the small storefront, she very welcoming and cheerful. She offers a wide range of Mexican desserts as well other snacks. I ordered a mangonada and it was made perfectly. I've been back at least three times since my first visit 2 months ago. I definitely recommend Lupita's for great Mexican desserts.

Their hours are 12:00PM-8:30PM yet I've been on two separate occasions during these hours and they were closed with no explanation

Awesome! I had the frozen banana! With jimmies. Husband had a slushy that was approved!! The only problem is that it's sporadically open.

This was a great find! Nice clean shop with different ice cream selections. I had a homemade coconut popsicle. Yum!!

I am here for a tasty treat and it's 1:09 p.m. Nobody is home . Lights off. My sister is in rehabilitation downtown and lives this place. WS trying to bring her some deliciousness but, they aren't open. Thanks fir letting us both down today. Ghetto businesses behaviors

You have to try the banana pudding and pistachio ice cream! These flavors are amazing. Can't wait to go back!
