The 38 Best Restaurants in La Paz, Bolivia | Eater

"Tucked away on a residential street in Sopocachi, this vegan cafe is only open for lunch, when the kitchen offers a rotating handful of well-seasoned main dishes. The team specializes in “veganizing” national dishes (which tend to be heavy on meat) using seitan, soy, mushrooms, chickpeas, lentils, and other legumes. If it’s available, be sure to order the vegan take on pique macho, a dish that typically features stewed beef, chorizo, hard-boiled egg, tomato, and onion on a bed of fries; the version at Lupito uses seitan for beef, spiced vegan chorizo, and flax in place of eggs. The vegan anticucho with oyster mushrooms is another great option. Grab a cookie on your way out for the perfect afternoon snack." - Valeria Dorado

Vegan dishes that were full of flavour, fresh and delicious! They have a full menu (soup + main + small dessert) that at a great price. Have already been twice during our stay (despite not being vegan ourselves) and will probably return again! Dishes vary and include vegan interpretation of traditional Bolivian dishes (like falso conejo) as well as burgers and burrito bowls!

Very good menu of the day. I got the buddha bowl which was a lot of food for a very fair price

The menu of the day had two options. I chose the homemade burger with hand cut fries and fried plátanos. The meal also came with soup and a little dessert. All together 28 bols. The buns, pesto sauce, and the patties were homemade and great quality. They also had apple pie and two big cookies. The apple pie (generous portion) was 8 bols, and was absolutely delicious!

Great vegan food, very fresh and tasty. I ordered the meal of the day with mexican nachos, rice, beans and seitan. The meal of the day comes with a soup and one desert for 23 Bolivianos. The staff is very friendly and polite. I will definitely go back there.

An amazing experience! The staff is really friendly and the food is great. Also the prices are unbeatable with 25 BOB for a menu with a soup, a main dish and a dessert. Best restaurant we found so far in South America!

Very cheap and good vegan restaurant in La Paz. The menu costs 23bs and was composed of a quinoa soup with vegetables, stuffed zucchini and a coconut cream. Additionally, we ordered a fresh juice for 7bs (or 14bs for a bottle). Everything was tasty. However, the service was a bit too fast and it would be nicer to get the food very warm. It was a lot but I would definitely go to this place again.
