"If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if sourdough pies were fired up in a Neapolitan pizza oven, first off, let’s be friends. Second, that’s exactly what Lupo is doing. The inferno inside the dome creates those leopard spots we know and love, but with a chewier texture and tang produced by the power of fermentation. If you’re a purist, it’s easy to enjoy their margherita topped with globs of Samish Bay mozzarella, or the cacio e pepe pie with plenty of cracked black pepper and the option to add pancetta. (Please exercise this option.) And even though Lupo only serves one type of pasta—a cream-splashed, tomato-sauced rigatoni with sausage—it's one of the greatest bowls of pasta in Seattle. Their homemade ice cream in flavors like salty chocolate chip or custardy vanilla is the best in town, and the perfect end to a meal here." - aimee rizzo

"Pizza chased with ice cream has been a sacred birthday meal since the dawn of Chuck E. Cheese. At Lupo, you can experience this same joyful ritual, but with a dimly lit ambiance and char-bubbled pies fit for grown adults (without any ball pits). Start with delicious white bean toasts topped with crisped pancetta bits and olives, followed by garlicky cavatelli tossed in chili oil, wood-roasted vegetables, and tangy sourdough pizzas. If all you do is ensure that the cacio e pepe and burrata soppressata pies hit the table, you’ve done your job as the guest of honor. And for dessert, you can get scoops of housemade ice cream with flavors ranging from brown sugar pine to rum-spiked carrot cake." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

"It's an indelible fact of life that hot and cheesy dinners can only be followed by cold and creamy desserts. And out of the many pizza spots in Seattle that serve ice cream, Lupo does it best. Flavors rotate, but you can expect licks like a deeply salt- and nut-forward pistachio, custardy vanilla that’s precisely the shade of Irish butter, and cocoa accented with razor-thin shavings of dark chocolate." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

Google
Fantastic restaurant, group had meatball app, Caesar salad, halibut and scallops perfectly cooked and tasty, ID wagyu striploin rich and delicious, organic pan seared chicken perfectly seared, Bolognese scrumptious, Carbonara savory delicious, Ragu de fungi rich and excellent mushrooms, everything was phenomenal. Nicely decorated and the bar is beautiful antique wood, the entrance is on the side off 5th street. Strongly recommend.

A group of 6 co-workers had dinner at Lupo and we couldn’t have been happier. The food and service were fantastic. Try the clams and octopus as an appetizer. The filet mignon was cooked expertly. We were served by Olevia who made excellent recommendations and took great care of us. We will certainly be back soon.

Google
Loved the lighting, menu & wine list. We went for Valentines Day & are so glad we made reservations. The BEST thing we had on the menu was the veal meatballs over polenta, do yourself a favor and order that for sure! Only reason not giving 5 stars is the wild boar lasagna was cold inside. The Italian wedding cake was so-so.

Slumdog Gump

Google
Nice variety on the menu and prices are very fair. Good wines by the glass. We ordered a few dishes and shared, everything was great. Staff was very nice and got great service. Very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Fine dinning! We Had a great expierence at II Naso. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and was greeted by name. They seated us in a nice corner booth with a view of the mountains. Modern folk music played in the background setting a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. We started off with the Antipasto which was wonderful with various meats and cheeses with grapes and tossed arugula. Our main dishes were Rainbow Trout special and Filet Mignon. Both very delicious. The fire roasted/grilled asparagus and gorgonzola butter was the icing on the cake! It was easy to make a reservation right on their website.

Google
I don’t typically leave reviews but sadly I’ve had a better food service at lower class chain restaurants... Over an hour wait for the main course and 35 minutes for an appetizer. I understand with “fine dining” longer waits are expected. The lack of communication from our server was very unimpressive. Based on the reviews I expected better. The octopus was the only thing worth ordering again.

Great place, lovely service and good food. They offer 1/2 portions of pasta that you need to ask for so that you can enjoy more dishes.

Google
We love Il Naso. Great food in a cozy atmosphere. Tonight we shared the special lamb lollipops, followed by a delicious ribeye. They also have a wonderful wine list. If you're lucky, you'll get a table in the bar with life music to enjoy.

Yelp
LUPO is rebranding from the previous name iL naso. We visited LUPO with few of our friends and we enjoyed it. Olivia did a remarkable job explaining and providing a wonderful service to our table. The ambiance is always cool and inviting. The food was enjoyed by all of us in particular the pasta was perfectly cooked. The wine list is also vast and quite nice. Enjoy!

Yelp
I was craving Italian when we arrived in Sun Valley. I saw the previous reviews on Yelp and asked the front desk person at Limelight Hotel for suggestions as well. Lupo came up again and we made our reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted and sat. The food options were a bit scarce but I guess I expected more from the menu. We ordered the charcuterie board, two beet & arugula salads, two sun dried tomato & pesto with chicken pasta dishes. We were offered focaccia and olive oil to start our meal. This is only a beer & wine joint so my hubby was stuck with soda since he drinks neither beer nor wine. The bread was fabulous. The charcuterie was good, there were no crostinis on the board but the server provided more bread which made up for it. Salads were ok, a little over-dressed and really sparse on the beets. The pastas were great but a bit too saucy and thick. In any case, we enjoyed our dinners but at $188 for the meal, we expected a tad bit more. Our server was great and accommodated where she could.

Yelp
We had the best dining experience at Lupo. A delightful meal with impeccable service and a warm inviting ambiance. It could not have been more enjoyable. Keep doing what you're doing Lupo! Thank you, we will return soon!

Tami K.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening with our dear friends. We had a most refreshing salad similar to a caprese but with cucumbers and pistachios. I had the spaghetti with clam sauce and my husband had the Bolognese. They were both delicious. Our server, Oelivia, was delightful. If you are looking for that special evening, this is place to go.

Charlotte B.

Yelp
First time I've been in since the change in ownership. I believe I understand the head chef took over the business. I have loved this place for years! Not sure I love the new ambiance. I really enjoyed the previous dark and romantic style. Food was good, but heavy. Not what I remembered. We will go again, thinking maybe the slowness of shoulder season had the kitchen at less than 100%.

M G.

Yelp
Don't want to overdo it, but we may have had the best dining experience last night in recent memory! All six of us raved about the food and the wine choices were excellent. The waitress and the service were perfect. And, the restaurant is somehow configured so that it can be busy and yet we could have comfortable conversation. What a treat! Thanks Lupo!

Erin J.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. The only good thing about my experience was the free bread they give. The Caesar salad was pretty good too, I guess; it's pretty big. I got a pasta that was a special and there was literally no sauce to it at all. NONE! When I asked the server kindly, if she could bring me more, she said she'd be right back with some. She came back ten minutes later and said "sorry, the cooks are busy and I don't want to bother them". Seriously?! So i guess asking for that was just too much. So lame. If you can't get something done, then don't tell your customers you can. I definitely will never go back to this place.

Scott J.

Yelp
I've lived here for almost 2 decades, have rediscovered this restaurant all over again It is quite delicious and I highly recommend it.

Kathie Morton B.

Yelp
I have been meaning to post this for awhile and am finally getting around to it. My family and friends spent a week in Sun Valley around the 4th of July. One of the highlights of our trip was dining at Il Naso. All of us loved our food and our waiter Jimmy was excellent! We will be asking for him next time. I highly recommend Il Naso for your next trip.

Bryce L.

Yelp
My wife and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary in Ketchum for the night. The restaurant got us seated quickly and had two drinks waiting for us! What a nice touch. We were seated in the best section that gave an amazing ambiance. Our waiter, Evan's recommendations were spot-on, and his friendly demeanor made the dining experience memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding food and top-notch service, especially with Evan at your service.

Clara S.

Yelp
A nice dinner spoiled by rude staff. Locals who will go never again.nothing to add. there are too many really good restaurants in town.

Chris J.

Yelp
The service was fine. The food was mediocre at best and the portions very small for the price. Had the special Butternut Squash Ravioli. The appearance of the restaurant was unkept and dirty (windows and dust). When we arrived on a slow Sunday the restaurant was mostly empty. We were told that we could sit at the bar or take a high top because they had reservations for all the empty tables. When we left, the restaurant was still mostly empty.

Shawn L.

Yelp
What a great referral, we were headed to Sun Valley for our anniversary. Year 12 FYI "Silk" Atmosphere was very relaxing, staff and servers were professional and responsive. Clams were succulent, perfect mix, who'da thought? clams in Sun Valley and fresh. Charcuterie was very nice perfect balance. Entrees were Fungai Linguini and a special Lobster Ravoli both excellent and perfectly presented. You really made our anniversary dinner special. I just wish we had something in Seattle that equaled this. Oh and the prices were much better than Seattle as well. Can't wait to come back. Thank you!

Nettifer W.

Yelp
Nope not good at all. The veggie lasagna was no sauce whatsoever. Dry and gross. The noodles weren't anything special. I basically picked it apart and age the veggies. So not worth the money either. Way over priced. Hubby got pesto gnocchi and he ate it only because he couldn't believe the price for such crap! He didn't want to be wasteful. Wouldn't eat here! So many other great places in Ketchum.

Yelp
We decided to try Il Naso on the suggestion of a local. We reserved a latish table since that was all that was available. That may have been our first mistake. We felt rushed throughout the meal - food arrived way too quickly. Kind of ruined the feeling when we walked in - the vibe of the restaurant visually is excellent. The food was pretty, but salads were overdressed and the pastas we ordered - all of us had different dishes - were over sauced. We love sauce, but there was too much on every plate, even for us. One other thing - the beet salad claimed to contain persimmon. We were surprised that persimmon was offered at all since it is out of season in mid-August. We are persimmon people, know one when we see one, and eat them regularly when they are in season. They grow where we live. When we asked the server about the persimmon she said she would ask the chef. She returned saying that the persimmon was imported and that it would not be offered come September. But what was trying to pass as persimmon was clearly apple. Not cool. My suggestion? Reserve an early table and maybe the the staff and chef will pay greater attention to detail. I realize this review does not align with the other reviews we saw, but we're telling it how we saw it.

Jannah D.

Yelp
Yikes - not good. We sadly chose this spot for an anniversary dinner and after such a disappointing meal we literally went somewhere else for an immediate second dinner. That has to be the mark of a bad choice if I've ever made one. The Ambiance - weird at best. It is so dark in there you get the feeling they are almost hiding something. There is far too much red light that the whole place feels like their attempt at romantic went wrong and landed somewhere along the lines of creepy. We are in our 30's and had to use flashlights to read the menu. The Food - mediocre at best. We returned our calamari app it was so fishy and poorly flavored. We ordered the veal to split after lost confidence in the app and it was so dry it resembled the consistency of a well-done hamburger. Their piccata sauce was more like a huge helping of capers with very little lemon or garlic flavoring - just a total miss. The Service - the only reason for a second star. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. Our glasses were never empty and they offered as much parmesan and pepper as humanly possible to add some flavor to the food. The verdict - go somewhere else, anywhere else. Certainly, avoid this spot for a special meal.

Jody P.

Yelp
Very high quality food and giant portions. Everything was delicious! Wish I'd discovered this place sooner. Will definitely be back!

Layla M.

Yelp
Some friends and I went for my birthday dinner and it was perfect! The staff were SO nice and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable beyond just the excellent food and wine. Evan made an amazing suggestion. Highly recommended!

Natasha N.

Yelp
Went for dinner last night. Susie was our waitress and she was amazing. We ordered the antipasto platter, salads and the special. Susie said the platter was huge. Long story short we didn't end up needing the salad or special and we were stuffed.

Patsy M.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of dining in this fine restaurant a few days ago and LOVED everything about it. Everything we ate was excellent! The best part was our waiter, Jim. He made the whole experience so enjoyable. He was attentive, helpful, and so much fun!! We will be going again soon!

Lisa H.

Yelp
Incredible dining experience!! The atmosphere was intimate and the food was delicious. We only tried a salad, pasta and wine but you can't go wrong with any of them. There was a backup in the kitchen and the waiter, Matt, offered us more bread and a free salad while we waited. The salad was some kind of arugula heaped over a big crunchy crouton heaped over some kind of raw-ish beef so tender and delicious. Made me almost upset I didn't order a dish with meat but that feeling dissipated the second my pasta came out and I took my first bite! I got the papardelli which was made in mushroom/truffle oil. It was so so so good. You could tell the noodles were fresh and the sauce was very flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend this place and this dish!

Tom E.

Yelp
Ate here for a birthday dinner based upon reviews and was very disappointed. The menu is very limited (especially if you're not in the mood for pasta). We had the meatball appetizer. The sauce was good but the meatballs themselves were on the tough side. Ordered a glass of wine. $18 and the pour was miserly. I had the wagyu steak and it was flavorless. Wife had the chicken and it was so salty with capers she couldn't eat it. All in all a very expensive disappointment.

J H.

Yelp
Not how it used to be regardless of covid. Service was pleasant but nothing special. It's always annoying when you feel like you are trying harder as the customer than the staff. The wine selection was good. If you are a home cook or have an Applebee's near you, this is a pass. Apps, wine, entrees and $400 later food was no better than a cafeteria. It's a simple Italian menu that should be executed easily. As a bad side note - three of us had gotten rid of the meal by morning, if you get the meaning. Consistency is a sign of any descent restaurant and just being open is not good enough.

Kristin C.

Yelp
Amazing food and the staff is wonderful. Great date night place. One of my favorites ...

Chief J.

Yelp
We go here ALL the time. One of our favorites in Ketchum. Eat at the bar and banter with the tenders. Super good. Best pork chop in town.

Kathleen T.

Yelp
We are visiting from Palm Springs and Los Angeles and found this gem Food was so fantastic and the service was excellent Men had the aged pork chop over the top good cooked to perfection girls had the sea bass and shrimp pasta We will definitely be back

Ryan H.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Calamari, mushroom soup with truffle oil, meat balls, lasagna, and best scallops I've ever had. Wine was very decent in price with a good selection. Great staff! Highly suggest!!!

Edgar V.

Yelp
Very good food and wine selection. A must go destination if you are in Ketchum. We had the Carbonara, the pork belly with scallops, fennel cesar salad and tiramisu. All good.

Christina D.

Yelp
Came here the other night and overall had a decent experience. The food was tasty (I'd recommend the bruschetta and caprese salad). And the ambiance was romantic! A downside was that our waiter didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine selection. Also, a couple of us in our party had some upset stomachs afterwards, so be mindful that the food is extremely rich! I ordered the orecchiette with a cream sauce so that is probably why I had some tummy issues

Todd L.

Yelp
Ambiance is quaint, romantic, and elegant. The service was on point through-out the 3 hour dinner. We had carpaccio as a starter followed by scallops with risotto for her and I had the daily raviolli. We finished the night with bread pudding. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The risotto was a bit flat and lacked seasoning. the raviolis had great texture which is tough to find. The flavors for me were a bit too light. I prefer more salt and spice in my food. The quality was Great! The bread pudding was chocolate goodness. Order it if you can. I would highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some very good Italian. Cheers Always!

Dustin N.

Yelp
I don't often write reviews. When I do, as a rule of thumb I do so to support the business. This review is an exception. We ate here for New Years Eve dinner. The restaurant was clean and we were seated immediately upon arriving on time for our 5pm reservation. The staff was all friendly. Shortly after ordering appetizers and receiving our drinks, my 10 yr old son was taking a sip when we heard a crack. His glass literally broke while he was drinking. My wife and I looked over at him as he spit a 1.5 inch piece of glass out of his mouth. We had him rinse his mouth and we were understandably scared as we didn't know if he had swallowed any glass. Our server expressed her concern for our son throughout the remainder of our dinner. The clams we ordered were good and served as a large portion. They skimp on the calamari. The wild mushroom pasta was tasteless. The farro salad my wife ordered looked much more delicious than it tasted. The meatballs my son ordered were uninspiring. I can handle bland food so long as the service is good. But when the bill came, they didn't even comp my son's Shirley Temple. We were surprised, but paid the bill and left without saying anything. The food was enough to keep us from ever returning, but their lack of even a modicum of consideration for the potentially very dangerous situation that unfolded on account of serving my son his drink in a cheap cracked glass, is what earned them this review.

Jodi W.

Yelp
Well, seeing that we were late getting in here, you know that look of dread the wait staff gives you, when they all want to get home, well, that wasn't the case here tonight. We are on a road trip this summer and if I didn't have a good bowl of spaghetti and meatballs I was about to die! Yelp is how I found this place and I am sure happy I was able to convince hubby, the ONLY man in the world who doesnt like Italian (yeah for me....grumble grumble) to eat it with me, my last night of being 40..... Phenomenal! Wine list extensive! Food OFF THE HOOK, ( How Jeresy Shore can I sound? Lol ) (it's the wine) hubby ordered beef shoulder, I got spaghetti with meatballs, made from sausage, veal & pork, in spicy marinara and perfect al dente noodles. Caprese salad was perfect. Only thing happened was the cook screwed up hubby's beef & misread the ticket. Medium rare was made medium. Not a problem here though, the waitress, a AWESOME LADY, she informed hubby of the mistake before he tasted it, and offered to re cook the plate. Hubby tasted it, and took her up on her offer to re cook it. She was so apologetic, such a nice cool chick, she poured us some wine on the house, and it was all good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS PLACE! Thank you!

Carrie B.

Yelp
Must visit if you are in Sun Valley. Excellent food and excellent service. Easy to order with my gluten allergy. Extensive wine list. I ordered the asparagus and had the filet. Cooked perfectly and tasted divine. We also ordered the desserts as a table, and the bread pudding was the winner.

Bob B.

Yelp
We just had an outstanding dinner at Il Naso. It is now one of my go-to places for a high meal. Both of our entres we complex, unusual, and delicious. During the pandemic, we will only sit outside. Il Naso has limited outside seating, so reserve in advance.

Saundra M.

Yelp
We are leaving the parking lot and had to post how phenomenal this place is.... from the bruschetta to the fennel tinged Caesar salad and the lasagna entree was all that I was looking for when I told my husband I wanted Italian tonight. I only wished I made room for the bread pudding dessert. They hit this out of the park. Wait staff and service are five stars too. You will not be disappointed.

Robert S.

Yelp
Il Naso is amazing and the food is terrific. The restaurant has a lot of small rooms and tables making dinner very intimate and special. They have a great wine list and the staff is wonderful. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ketchum.

Bruce K.

Yelp
This is a very good restaurant. Alto go we went there during the slow season and can't comment on how the service is during busier periods, the service was very good, waiter informative bit but not Pushy and well the food was excellent. We had the special of the day which was ravioli filled with with different things which was great , the lasagna which is to die for - a must get and then spaghetti and meatballs which also exceeded expectations. Really an excellent Italian restaurant !!! Would definitely recommend to all

Lindsay S.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely on our list everytime we come visit. Tonight we had the fig caprese salad, mixed green salad with fresh berries, and the wedge. The caprese was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. My husband and father loved theirs too. For the main courses we enjoyed the fettuccine, pink chop and daily salmon. My pasta was light and al dente with a perfectly poached egg on top. The pork chop was juicy and tender, and the salmon fresh and accompanied by colorful vegetables. We ordered a side of broccolini, which was ok. Of course, we had to eat dessert! We indulged in the bread putting, the chocolate dessert (can't remember the name), and a scoop of pink sorbet. Basically, everything was delicious. The server was friendly and recommended good wine pairings. She even offered some samples to taste!

H M.

Yelp
This is my favorite "fancy" restaurant in Ketchum. It is the only one with a traditional, candlelight atmosphere, that is cozy and romantic, and also authentically Italian. It specializes in wine, and lots of personal attention by the warm and welcoming staff. Don't miss out on this special place. I have never been disappointed, and we often choose Il Naso as the place for our special family occasions.

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Had a great time here! Courtney is so on point with her wine recommendations. A great sommelier. We ate and drank at the bar and had an amazing time. The mussels were yummy. The three bottles of wine were perfect. My girlfriend said it was the best place she's been in Ketchum. Great food. Great drinks. Great people. A good spot.

Maya J.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for dinner last night. It was excellent. We started with the cream of broccolini and spinach salad. For the entree, my husband had the wild boar lasagna and I had the rack of lamb. Both entrees were fantastic. The wine list is pretty robust and my husband really enjoyed the dark chocolate bread pudding with ice cream and caramel sauce.

Scott L.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night. What a great dining atmosphere and great food! Very comprehensive wine list for those so inclined. Will be back for sure!

Bridget W.

Yelp
Phenomanal food and service. Plus Champagne was on the house after my fiance proposed to me after dinner

Terry M.

Yelp
First time back in several years and am really pleased to see Il Naso IS BACK!!! Excellent service, competitive prices, very good wine list and excellent food. Just booked again for Sat night, party of 6. Well done!

Noah L.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this is the page for the new Il Naso or not, but they reopened in August of 2012. I took my friend from out of town and we sat at the bar. A quick rundown: Ambience- classy and cozy, like eating in a nice home. Staff- friendly and outgoing. The bartender chatted with me until my friend arrived. Bar- beer and wine, good selection, decent prices for Ketchum dinner. Food- excellent. I had the salad with shrimp and my friend had the Caprese burger. He raved about this burger with tomato, mozzarella, basil, and prosciutto for days. My meal was really good, but my buddy probably told everyone else he met in town about this burger. I'll be trying it on my next visit. I'm really happy this Italian spot opened back up. I think they'll have a lot of success and the happy diners will reap the benefits.

Ivor R.

Yelp
Delicious meal and excellent service with nice ambience. Best tiramisu I have ever had and that includes US, Italy, and Europe.

Natasha H.

Yelp
We went here based upon the rave reviews. The staff was wonderful as was the atmosphere and the live music. Our server was exceptional. That said, the bread was extremely salty, the roasted potatoes were charred and the pork tenderloin was undercooked. The sauce and flavor of the pork was amazing but I couldn't eat most of it. Lasagna was good according to my husband. Just read that the Executive Chef that made the place awesome recently left, so that may explain the disconnect.

Anna K.

Yelp
Courtney was amazing. We had so much fun. Thank you!!! The Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay and Joseph Phelps Sauvignon Blanc were perfect recommendations.

Deborah N.

Yelp
Ordered the burrata and mussels to start. Whoa. Both are beautifully presented and delicious! Salad with strawberries was perfect. I got the gnocchi which was super creamy and delicious. My husband got the linguine with shrimp... beyond delicious. We loved everything we ordered and will definitely be back. Super Covid proof.
