"Lure, Hampstead Heath. Tucked away in the residential area near the Heath known as Dartmouth Park Village is this very special fish kitchen. Reasonably new to the area, Lure offers a modern take on the traditional fish and chip shop and a decor that transports you to the seaside. Only fresh, sustainable, seasonal fish is used, provided by day boat fishermen & responsible fish farms from in and around the UK. There are weekly specials and the batter is made with locally brewed Camden Hells’ beer."

Great decor and atmosphere. Service was excellent with all staff friendly and helpful. Food was very good especially the bream. Some said the salmon was a bit dry. Portion sizes for the sides were very generous, probably could have shared 1 portion of chips between two.

The fish was well fried and crispy. The large portion of chips was indeed large, enough for 2.5 people, but my girlfriend was hungry so we ate it all between the two of us. Next time I would probably go for double fish, since the squid was lacking in spices. Would recommend fish and chip though!

Lovely, warm and friendly place with a menu to get excited about. Very quick service, food was freshley cooked, full of flavours. The fish and chips dish was off the childs menu, which was a good portion, the irish salmon and sea bream was succulant, the sides where plentyful to share and those potatoes where the best we have had in a long time, we will definatly be returning.

Excellently cooked cod and chips - light, crisp, non-oily batter, beautifully steamed fresh and flavoursome fish inside, crunchy chips and some very well prepared crushed peas. And all served in a very nice environment, too. The quality of the meal was the best F&C I have had for some considerable time. The basics done well. It isn’t cheap to eat in (especially now), but it makes for a lovely occasional treat with a decent selection of beers. It also seems that the takes away price is far cheaper so if you are pinched, go for that. The eat-in service quantities are however very large so, other than those of you with gargantuan appetites, you will easily be able take some chips and peas home for a midnight snack (they will gladly provide the packaging to do so). Thoroughly recommended.

My family enjoy coming here as the food always tastes great and fresh. The kids have a half a cod with peas and skinny fries for £8.90 each. Adult meals are over £10. They do automatically add a 12.5% service charge therefore I don't feel I need to leave extra tips. Really nice and friendly place and we enjoy going there quite often

Delicious food and friendly service. Went for the first time tonight with my two sons. We ate in and shared a haddock and chips and a fish finger butty. Haddock was super-fresh and the triple-cooked chips were crisp, generous and moreish! Decent price for the quality of food. Felt obliged to post after reading some of the previous reviews. Whatever issues they were having appear to have been well and truly resolved. We live a few miles away but will be back soon.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Lure. The staff were super friendly. The mussels were perfectly spiced. I loved the lemongrass bream. We would visit weekly, if only we didn't live thousands of miles away.

Yelp
I moved to London from US for 5 years and refused to eat fish and chips. With that said, I am definitely not a fish and chips expert... Nevertheless, I LOVE SEAFOOD so I am going to say, from a seafood restaurant perspective, it's definitely a Must try! It has great oysters, mussels, and their fish and chips is definitely light and crispy -heart-! Unfortunately, this place only opens on Wed thru Sunday so make sure you are there on the right days!

Yelp
The best fish and chips I ever eaten. Regular customer, never been disappointed. I couldn't believe this place hasn't visited by any of my fellow Yelpers. This is truly been kept quite by the well heeled locals of Highgate and Dartmouth Park for too long. I would best describe this place as a posh fish shop. Forget any images of greasy, oily, bland fish and chips you may have experienced in the past. This is a whole other level. Firstly, the chips are triple cooked Maris Pipers which is (as all self respecting British connoisseur will know) the best roasting/ frying potato. The fish is locally sourced and would have been swimming around the North Sea no less than two days before. The fish is beer battered in locally brewed Camden Hells larger and it has to be one of the best pieces of batter you can get. It comes in at £11 which is slightly more than you would pay else where but the difference is roughly about £4 but well worth it. They also offer an array of other quality seafood based dishes all of which I haven't tried but on viewing look amazing. If in the N19/NW5 area or a tourist wishing to sample the national British dish at its truly best then defiantly go out of your way to visit. I've attached the menu with prices along with address so guys defiantly check it out if looking for a fish fix. I'll attach some more images when I next go in.

Yelp
Found this place by chance and I have to say it was a great meal. My husband ordered Fish & Chips they were fresh, lightly battered and fried to perfection accompanied with the best homemade tarter sauce. I ordered the salmon, it too was cooked to perfection with a light glaze and a side of asparagus. I highly recommend this place if you are a "foodie" you won't be disappointed.
