Google
An amazing place for a date night or a celebration with group of friends. I tried the grilled red snapper what a great choice and one of the cocktails with sake and gin. Not pictured: grilled octopus I mean it was so good with some hummus it was beyond my expectations. Not pictured: crispy snapper for two, so good and really a huge portion. Definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or celebration, or just a hot date night.

Old 2021 redo review. I came here for Miami spice, and I was highly disappointed. For the amount of food to be much quality. Whoever curated this menu did a terrible job. The best thing I had was my dessert, and that about sums it up. Great looking food, terrible taste.

I'd never had the Feast of the Seven Fishes, even though I'm half Italian. The Miami New Times posted an article about where to eat Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Miami metropolitan area. The Lure Fishbar caught my attention partly because the fixed price four course menu was affordable ($65), while other places were priced up to $195. That coupled with the photographs of the interior was enough to sell me on the place. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. Started off at the bar with a Four B's cocktail that featured Bulleit bourbon. This is one of the best craft bourbon cocktails I have ever tasted. Proceeded to my table and started off with a glass of Taittinger Brut champagne and four Beau Soleil New Brunswick East Coast oysters on the half shell. Both the champagne and the oysters were chilled to perfection. The presentation of the oysters was spectacular. Carefully shucked in their deep cup, with delicious liquor. They came with cocktail sauce, mignonette and two cute little bottles of Tabasco sauce. I chose a glass of 2015 Simonnet-Febvre Chablis with my meal. The first course of my dinner was an Ora King Salmon Crudo. Artfully prepared with a clever combination of herbs, spices, olives and pine nuts. The second course was a Frito Misto featuring calamari and shrimp with an arugula pesto and beurre fondue. The server poured a bit of the fondue over the dish from a small saucière. My only regret was I didn't have a way to savor more of the fondue once I had consumed the course. It was amazing! The third course was Cioppino: a pan-roasted snapper with mussels, octopus, San Marzano tomato, crab butter and focaccia. Quite a delicious cap-off before dessert. One minor detail was overlooked: one of the mussels was not open, so I chose not to consume it. I inserted an uramaki spicy tuna roll before the dessert course, an artistic interpretation of Chocolate Tiramisu. Ended my night with an exceptional espresso. This was one of the most near perfect dining experiences I've ever had in my life. My only complaints are that the water glass remained empty too long throughout the night and at times the service was a bit sluggish and inattentive. It's difficult being a party of one. I was also impressed with the care and attention to detail I saw being paid to the matter of cleaning the tables in preparation for new guests. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Bravo!

We're avid eaters and are always skeptical of anything in areas as touristy as South Beach but our meal at Lure was very good. Started with some oysters and shrimp into the octopus then the crispy snapper, finishing it off with the creme brulee. I couldn't really tell you which was best. The snapper said it was for two but we could barely finish it. Huge chunks of meat nicely breaded and fried almost orange chicken style. I usually like to pick the whole fish clean myself but it was way easier to eat. Don't forget to pick at the fish bones though, they left plenty! The real hero of the meal was that freaking creme brulee, I regret not ordering 10 of them.

Google
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Lure. I liked the whole calm and swanky Art Deco vibe of the restaurant. We had a tuna starter and then shared the red snapper dish for two. The red snapper was beautifully prepared, succulent and proportion was so generous we could barely finish it. The presentation was also pretty cool. Our waiter was lovely. The only thing that was just okay was my rum based cocktail. The ladies room could have been a bit more swank as well.

Google
The lobster roll we ordered were salty and overcooked but the tuna tacos and the rock shrimp were great. The place was beautiful and clean but the servers were not very attentive plus they were very slow.. specially if there were not many people at the restaurant. the food was a little pricy for the taste. not a great experience overall. we paid over $160 for 2 people.

Google
I have been coming to lure since I was in NYC (2015) and when I moved to Miami was ecstatic they had a spot here. My husband had never tried it, so as soon as they opened post COVID, I booked us a date night. I was extremely pleased with the service, and our server Matthew was above and beyond amazing. My husband was so pleased with the food, service and ambiance that we already booked it again for our next date night :). The manager Lucas was also very kind and you could tell really cared for his staff and the guests visiting the restaurant. They did have a smaller menu due to Covid-but shared they will be bringing back those items soon and I cannot wait! Everything was perfect, and now my husband loves this place as much as I do.

Google
It was my birthday celebration and chef Khaleel and his staff who clearly became family gave my family and I the time of our lives. From the moment we stepped in the ambience and the settings took our breaths away. The food is to die for...everything from the entrées to the desert was mind blowing...soooo delicious. To "Dennis d menace"...lol...you were awesome..thank you for the birthday song...such an amazing guy...Panda...we totally enjoyed the fish...Lure you made my birthday one of the best I've ever had...we would be back soon...definitely

Mayra M.

Yelp
I was very impressed with the service. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We sat on the patio outside and had an obstructed view of the ocean. The food was fresh but I did think the items were overpriced. It was a birthday celebration and it felt adequate to celebrate it there. I would recommend the establishment if you are willing to pay the price.

Yelp
Great cocktails and sushi! The crispy rice with tuna is the best. Tasted several things during a private event and they were all amazing. The chef is very kind and accommodating. They have a nice bar, inside and outside seating. They also have an area for private events up to about 30 ppl. I heard a rumor that they could be closing soon for a new concept so go now, do not wait!!

Yelp
Our last night in Miami had to be epic, so we chose Lure for dinner for the simple elegance that we knew it would be. Although the space is not large, the vibe was high class and chill. Matt talked us through his favorite cocktails and apps and we went from there. Tempura Shrimp and edamame with Palomas and Old Fashions covered our table. As we laughed and chatted about new memories of Miami Beach, we eased into our entrees of sushi rolls, grilled salmon, and burgers and fries. The ultimate winner of the table was the lobster Mac n cheese hands down!! I had read about the skillet cookie on Yelp prior to arrival so knew immediately we had to have that before we left. Lure Fishbar did not disappoint whatsoever and made a wonderful trip even better.

Yelp
Conrad is the best! Best sushi in miami, best service! Live laugh love, we're from chicago & it's so mid compared to this! AMAZING, GIVE CONRAD A RAISE!!!

Yelp
We came here last night because it was a short walk from the hotel and looked decent inside. My mother ordered the clam chowder thinking it would be a safe choice. To our dismay only thirty minutes upon arriving back at our hotel, she became violently ill. Beginning to experience heavy sweating and severe stomach pain did she realize she had food poisoning. Almost immediately she vomited ALL the contents of her dinner. I wish I could give ZERO stars. This is simply not okay for a highly regarded establishment.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
Superb from start to finish. Absolutely incredible customer service from waitress to manager to bus-boys. Food was so fresh and delicious; highly recommend the tempura and the whole cooked fish. Well-cooked fish is an art and this chef was Picasso.

Yelp
Not as good as New York so don't be fooled.. order the 2 lb Lobster but assumed that it was fresh and live however I could tell it was frozen previously as the insides were still cold and had ice.. for the price really not a good value at all was watery and the service charge is automatically added even though the server was nice he was not attended at all and the place was close to empty with only four tables occupied and maybe four people sitting at the bar.. I have loved the restaurant in Soho and was hoping to have the same but indeed not the same experience at all so I guess if you order oysters maybe it would be okay but would not order the whole lobster $$$$
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely underwhelming especially compared to the one in NY. Would not recommend/go back.

Yelp
Amazing food and service, we would love to dine again. Snapper for two was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
First time down in Miami and kept running across this place as a great place to grab seafood. Staff was extremely nice and attentive and the food was nothing short of amazing. Red snapper was grilled to perfection and my wife's lobster roll was amazing as well. Next time we are in Miami, will definitely be making my way back.

Chloe L.

Yelp
We ordered oysters, crispy rice cakes, the hellfire roll, the nori crusted tuna, Shazam roll, crème brûlée, and cookie skillet. Everything was amazing. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was magnificent. Gabby, our server was so nice and provided us with the best recommendations. Two other servers/bussers were also so nice and such great people to talk to. Definitely recommend the restaurant not just for the food, but for the service as well.

Yelp
I live in NYC and visit the Soho location for happy hour often. Decided to go with something familiar during my visit to Miami - The staff and manager here were fantastic, food was incredible and had a great vibe. Also Nestor, the bartender, made the whole evening even better (I ate solo at the bar). Would definitely return on a next visit!

Rachel A.

Yelp
Love this place, especially Nikola, our server! He was so friendly and gave us some great tips for our trip to Miami! We came back for a second dinner because of him! Loved the shrimp cocktail and wedge salad!

Yelp
Consistently good dinner. we stay at the Loews often, and Lure is convenient. the sushi is always solid, all the apps are good, and it is a great place to share a bunch of small plates. service is always ok, but unfortunately never great, but it's fine. serviceable choice.

Yelp
The food , the service from the 2 bartenders ( can't remember their names ) were fantastic! Adding this to my list of regular places to go to.

Yelp
Went to Lure Fishbar with friends in party of 8 for Miami Spice. The valet is like $36 at the Lowes Hotel. But they were nice enough to tell us that it's like $14 if endorsed by the Restaurant. The Restaurant is pretty upscale with nice ambience. The restaurant was pretty much deserted, just two other parties there. We sat at the bar while waiting for friends. The bartender got us the menu and water. Took about 5 mins to get her attention back for drinks orders. Mind you this is with only one other customer at the bar. Our friends finally arrived and we were promptly seated. The gave us the menu and got us our drinks promptly. We ordered off the Miami Spice menu. For appetizer we ordered Ceviche and Sushi roll, for main entree lobster it was the Stuffed Lobster and Durant Fish and dessert was key lime pie and bread pudding. Portion size were pretty small. Ceviche and the entrees were pretty good, the rest were okay. Our friends got steak, which they didn't care for much. The service overall was pretty good I guess cuz we were pretty much the only customers there by this time. Tip was automatically included. The restaurant definitely did not live up to our expectations. Not on my list of recommended restaurants!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night on Saturday and the food and there service blew me away! PRO TIP: 20% gratuity is already included! PRO PRO TIP: Check in on Yelp and get the Chef's choice of appetizer We had a 7:45 reservation but they were able to seat us at 7:30 since the restaurant wasn't too packed for it being a Saturday night. I had been craving seafood and this place came across my Google search and I had heard it was good. We decided to start off with some oysters before we ordered our main meals. The oysters were so fresh and they came with an oil glaze that I put on them and it just elevated the taste of them! For our appetizer, since we checked in on yelp, they brought us crispy tuna cakes with a ponzu sauce that was to die for! And since I had been craving seafood, we decided to get 1/2 lb of steamed Alaskan king crab leg, which came with regular butter and spicy butter. It was so good and there was so much meat that it was enough for both of us to get our fill of it! For our main entree, we both decided to order the seafood risotto, which came with shrimp, scallops, squid and grilled octopus. If you don't like spicy foods, then don't order this because it definitely comes with a kick which I throughly enjoyed! Finally for dessert, we both also decided to get the chocolate mouse with vanilla ice cream, which I think was the perfect way to end such a delicious and decadent date night dinner! So come here if you're craving seafood and want to have a nice date night but I also suggest coming a bit early to enjoy their daily happy hour at the bar where they have 1/2 oysters, bar bites, and cocktails!

Yelp
Although I'm familiar with the full dinner service at Lure in Manhattan, I've only been to the South Beach location for three things: 1. Key lime pie. We were walking home from another restaurant, and needed some pie. Lure has the pie, and it's not only delicious, but gorgeous as well. 2. Cocktails. The fine lady behind the stick makes a mean drink, whether you want a classic or something on their menu (I recommend the Anne Bonny - tequila, pineapple, fresh lime, some herbaceous note I don't remember, and enough habanero to give it a serious kick). 3. People watching. Tucked inside the Loews Hotel, this Lure is a little bit pulled back from the Collins strip. The crowd seemed a little classier, but there was a couple nice groups of guys and girls that had overindulged enough to be very entertaining. If the rest of Lure lives up to the promise of these three things, it's surely one of the best spots for dinner in South Beach. If not, well, that's your problem for not being satisfied with pie, booze, and drunk people.

Yelp
For a sushi place in Miami I expected more, especially for the price point. This is a restaurant inside Lowes hotel so don't expect much. One thing to note - service was fantastic, our server was on point. The atmosphere is also nice but my roll was very bland and boring. Not much fish in/on it either. Don't see myself coming back
google avatar

Yelp
Food here wasn't so great for the price we paid for. Our server Dennis was fun and friendly tho.. My husband and I stayed at loews for our anniversary and so we decided to try out this restaurant during our stay. First we noticed the place was nice and fancy.. but when we ordered scallop and grilled snapper, they weren't that great.. the food had that fishy smell to it.. i ended up not finishing my snapper.. it was a big disappointment and we wouldn't come back here again.

Yelp
Came in for a pre dinner drink. Ended up getting an experience of a lifetime. Sara and Z at the bar make great drinks. Great for happy hour.

Yelp
Some of the best service I've ever had!! Our waiter Nikola especially but everyone had a smile on their face and created such a fun welcoming environment. The food was very fresh and tasty especially the tuna crispy rice. Highly recommend!

Yelp
FRESH FISH!!! Awesome atmosphere and very friendly service!! Food was spectacular...highly recommend this for a romantic getaway!

Yelp
HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I got NOROVIRUS from eating here, was ill for days, and passed it to my family, as it's highly contagious. I called three times asking to speak with the manager, not only to seek reimbursement for my meal (or at the very least the oysters that made me ill) but also to warn for future guests. I never received a call back. For a $350+ dining experience, which was MEDIOCRE at best (especially when compared with how good the NYC location is), one would expect 1. to not become violently ill for days and 2. should you become ill (things happen, not even really blaming for the illness), that the manager or anyone from the restaurant would offer some condolences or a monetary gesture. Additionally, my table ordered extra dirty martinis, for which they charged us an extra $4 per drink, despite the fact they came out half way full. Again, for a restaurant that charges exorbitantly, you'd think they'd allow an extra thimble of olive juice at no extra cost to the already quite expensive cocktail (which was bad, incidentally). I've never posted a review like this before, but feel people should be warned of the terrible service, overcharging, and mediocrity of the food. Miami has much to offer, I'd recommend saving Lure for NYC.
google avatar

Ruby L.

Yelp
We are from chicago and love the Lure in chicago, so we came for happy hour and totally enjoyed the drinks and appetizer specials. We decided to stay on past happy hour and order off the dinner menu. We ordered the grilled red snapper and we received something very different--a whole fish drenched in teriyaki sauce with salty fried rice--which it turns out was the crispy red snapper for 2. We called the manager over and he apologized and took away the food and removed it from the tab. We were disappointed that we weren't offered our original order. We left the restaurant still hungry and super disappointed.

Yelp
We got to stay at the Loews Hotel for a work trip and the 1st night we were treated to this amazing restaurant, the food is amazing and the service is top notch, my glass was never empty and the food was fresh and delicious and I will recommend this place to everyone I know traveling to Miami Beach, Florida...thank you to the staff for treating us with such amazing service
google avatar

George S.

Yelp
Having a great time here tn. Sara and Z are doing a great job and are a lot of fun to chill with
google avatar

Yelp
We sat at the bar..We had the lollipop chicken wings, tempura shrimp, and lurehouse sushi roll everything recommended by Zilpa (Z) and Sara. The food was amazing but the service was better! Thank you so much ladies for making our experience awesome!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
Full disclosure: we came primarily for their renowned key lime pie! I have a seafood allergy but we still wanted to eat dinner and if I were them I would have been like you came to the wrong place! But they do have non-seafood options on the menu AND our waitress double-checked with the chef that everything we ordered was seafood-free - I so appreciate that! We ordered the filet mignon off the specials menu and it would be impressive even in a steakhouse - meat cooked perfectly as we ordered it. We also started with a vegetable sushi wrap and it was so much more than we had imagined - delicately layered with thin slices of the ingredients and arranged beautifully. And the key lime pie did not disappoint! It was silky, sweet, tart with a perfect graham cracker crust. Highly recommend

Chandler R.

Yelp
My fiancé and I had a wonderful outside veranda date night dinner at lure at the Loews hotel! Every dish we had was delicious. We were impressed by the lightly batter and fresh tasting tempura shrimp. Our server, Kennedy was the best! She was so knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and gave us amazing recommendations!! We will definitely be back!!

Shiela Y.

Yelp
How incredibly disappointing! The food tasted good, but I've never been so rushed through my dinner! My family wanted to relax & enjoy our dinner; obviously not encouraged at Lure...unless you're willing to order the most expensive items on the menu. Again, the food tasted good, but we didn't appreciate being singled out, literally pointed at by the manager & our waitress b/c we weren't going to be bullied into ordering food we didn't want. If they're going to charge these kinds of prices, management might want to consider not treating customers so poorly. For the prices here, find a restaurant where you're treated with a little common courtesy!

Yelp
This place is great! We had the best bartenders Sara and Z. The drinks were great! Loved their energy! Will definitely be going back

Yelp
Incomparably delicious group dinner at this new place from the Lure group in SoHo. Striking fresh shellfish & truly wonderful unusual wine list. Relaxing atmosphere with warm friendly staff A sure fire hit for a few or a lot for dinner

Yelp
Okay, I know. Your shouldn't order chicken at a Seafood restaurant. And I do love seafood so it is was difficult to not order it. But this restaurant's limited menu of seafood was just not that appealing. My date ordered the Miso Covered Salmon. She said it was "Okay". Exact quote. My Roasted Chicken with Basil Mashed Potatos and Carrot was equally just "okay". Some of the roasted carrots were cold. The chicken was cooked well but was nothing special. And the basil mashed potatoes were good. (But they're the side dish) Service was slow. Nice server. But slow service. Not my favorite place. They did serve "toast" as the bread. It was okay too. Not great. But okay.
google avatar

Marisa S.

Yelp
Perfectly fine dinner with great fresh fish. Our waiter was knowledgeable and congenial and a bit more NYC than I was expecting for a South Beach restaurant (not a bad thing). Ambience was nautical but felt like a steakhouse. Dark and classy and loud but not trendy or buzzy. Tuna apps were great and disappeared in a flash. We were a little bummed they didn't have stone crab (even though it had been all over their insta for a week) but the rest of the food was good enough to keep us content. We were sold on a burrata salad that was excellent and a nice bubbly that complimented all the fish entrees as well. I would certainly recommend for a nice dinner and for those who love seafood and want a less scene-y experience.
google avatar

Rony M.

Yelp
The nautically themed dining room at Lure Fishbar is as impressive on the eyes, as the plates and pours are on the palate. Throw caution to the wind with Kissing The Gunner's Daughter, a dangerously drinkable blend of Pimm's No. 1 gin liqueur, Sudachi lime infused Shōchū, Eureka lemon, and a splash of Jarritos Mexican Grapefruit soda. Start with rich Deviled Eggs seasoned with domestic caviar, followed by Bucatini Pasta tossed with an extravagant riccio di mare cream sauce, red fresno peppers, and shaved scallions crowned with buttery poached crabmeat. Finish your journey with the Pot of Gold; a Bermuda Triangle of caramelized peanuts, milk chocolate mousse, and silky banana custard.
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Food was excellent, but many items were unavailable. I was really hoping to try some items I had seen on Yelp. Denis, who was our waiter was very well versed with the menu and made excellent recommendations. Unfortunately, "due to Covid", the restaurant was not granting the appetizer promo either.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
What a supreme location right in the heart of south beach in the Loews hotel. One block from the beach with a city parking garage ($2 hour) steps away. The restaurant felt like a steakhouse with a nautical theme, and was comfortable for large groups and intimate tables for two. The servers made drink suggestions and wine pairings during the meal, and I ended up with one vodka base and one with tequila (which didn't end up to be my cup of tea but had refreshing cucumber hints if that is your thing!) My dinner date and I shared some bites from crispy rice with tuna to a salmon cucumber roll, as well as a crispy potato wrapped snow crab roll which really stole the show with it's edible flowers and spicy aioli. We ordered the Dorade whole fish which came boned and one of the most tender filets I've ever had. I thought the key lime pie had wonderful crunch and tang, and the meringue puffs on top an interesting take on the traditional slice. Lure has established themselves as a staple on the beach and is somewhere I'd certainly return when entertaining out of town company when looking to meet up mid-beach.
google avatar

Fernanda H.

Yelp
Delicious food. Steak was a little bland but the lobster was cooked perfectly. Asparagus was crunchy but soft. Check in and you get four pieces of crispy tuna rice cakes. Thank you to our server Rina for the suggestions. Great services. Will return for lunch tomorrow

Yelp
If you're staying at their host hotel, the Loew's, you must waltz (or skedaddle) over to the beautiful, adjacent St. Moritz building and dine at Lure. The restaurant is beautifully designed; it offers a modern, yet cozy ship-like vibe. First, check them out for happy hour, which is every day from 6-7:30 PM. The raw oysters, fresh sushi, and crispy rice cakes, in addition to the Flying Jaff cocktail (essentially a rum old-fashioned) and Anne Bonny (a spicy pineapple margarita) are not to be missed. My date and I went to enjoy their "from SoHo to SoBe" special dinner menu. The pan roasted striped bass was the best fish I've eaten all year and the "I'll Have That" lemon, vodka, and earl grey martini was exquisite. In addition, we ordered a king crab california roll and a wedge salad. I would certainly return and just order some of their signature sushi rolls, they're incredible. Save room for their key lime pie as well; it's one of the best in South Beach for sure. Service at the bar and dinner table were equal in attention and speed. Yes, it's expensive, but worth it for a seafood-centric special occasion.

Kacy B.

Yelp
The worst dining experience. We ordered the Royale Tower to start, which is supposed to come with Alaskan King Crab. We even had a discussion with our server, Kiona, about the king crab prior to putting in the order. It was brought to the table with no king crab and replaced with scallops. We were never informed that the kitchen ran out of king crab or told about the substitution the kitchen made. Our server was no where to be found the entire time we were at the table. Entrees came out at all different times. My friend finished his steak before our sushi rolls were brought to the table. We were missing an entree and just decided to cancel the order. We had to go up to the bar just to get another drink. Server never came to check on how the food was or take away any plates. Drinks were good, food was alright. We were celebrating a birthday and truly disappointed with the experience from start to finish.

Yelp
It is your stereotypical hotel restaurant, white tablecloths, nice servers, a fresh seafood display. The ambiance is old school, nothing eclectic about it. It is the place I would go for dinner with my grandparents whenever they are in town. They have an interesting drink menu, but I think I would stick to ordering old school stuff. Go for the martini instead of the pink flowery drink, why? The pink drink is not that sweet anyways. I was able to try the cucumber salmon avocado roll, the crunchy rice rice spicy tuna tartare, and the yellowfin tuna sashimi. The cucumber roll was fresh and had a nice spice to it, the crunchy rice I would skip (it's just whatever), and the tuna was simply the B-O-M-B. After that, I tried their snow crab tempura potato wrap roll - I don't know if it was a one time special - and it was amazing. I usually don't eat crab, but this roll changed me. I think the potato wrap gave it a nice spin to old regular sushi and made it crunchier. Would come back just for this. Later in the night, I had the durade fish as a main dish. It was a delicious white flaky fish, I had never had this kind of fish before. I was very impressed! It tasted fresh and it was so soft you could scoop it out with a spoon. I have to say I was little disappointed with the dessert, I ordered a key lime pie and it was a regular old slice of pie. It did not have meringue frosting on top so, that almost made me cry. Great restaurant to take your family to. Order the durade and try their sushi out. Skip dessert.

Yelp
Bartenders were great here. Sarah and z for president 2024. If you're in Miami come here

Melissa K.

Yelp
We went to Lure because we're staying at the Loews hotel and it was convenient. It was ok but I wasn't blown away. The service was not very good, our waitress rarely came by and we had to flag her down a few times. We got the sushi and it was pretty good, but not significantly better than anywhere else I've been. It's an average restaurant, but very expensive for the mediocre quality of food.

Yelp
Not sure what's going on.. Valentine's Day, first time here. Ordered tuna tataki and was up sold to toro tataki. The waitress puts in order and then suggested sashimi style instead. Out comes the toro sashimi almost frozen, so cold it was stiff. We put the toro on the side to defrost while eating other things. The waitress did ask why it was siting there and we told her it was defrosting. She told us she was sorry and said she told the manager. After about 30 minutes it was edible. We assumed they would either adjust the price or not charge us. Surprise 50 bucks. 5 slices of toro.. not even big slices. So Sad.

Yelp
The BF and I dined at Lure Fishbar to cap off a week-long stay at the Loew's South Beach. The Loew's concierge was nice enough to make us a reservation but they also accept OpenTable reservations if you prefer. Lure is located in the St. Mortiz tower on Collins Ave, located just off the lobby. We dined on a Thursday night and were greeted by live jazz music as soon as we opened the doors. The restaurant is lovely with semi-private upholstered booths ringing the walls, and an upscale nautical motif. The tables were lit by small tea candles. Our server, Dennis, was oh-so-friendly. He obviously likes his job and works well with his team because they were a well-oiled machine, making sure we had everything we needed and were happy the whole time. (Heads up, though, like with many other SoBe establishments, there is an automatic 18% service charge added into your bill.) I knew there would be lots of seafood offerings but was surprised at the extensive menu. The entire left side of the menu is essentially raw bar offerings - oysters, clams, sushi, ceviche, etc. They also offer seafood towers priced from $48 to $165, depending on how many add-ons you choose. The right side of the menu is the cooked side, for lack of a better phrase. This is where all the hot apps and entrees are. Both menus are quite lengthy! As long as you and your dining companions like seafood you will be able to find something for everyone here. We split the following: - JEWELS OF THE SEA: King Crab Legs (priced at Market Price per 1/2 lbs). We paid a whopping $41 for a 1/2 lb on our visit - but they were worth every dollar. The legs were cut down the middle and basted with a homemade lemon-herb butter while being grilled. Not only was the flavor perfect, but serving them cut for us made this easy and not too messy to eat on our nice date. - APPETIZERS: CRISPY RICE CAKES ($18; four large rectangles of crispy rice topped with a spicy tuna tartare, crispy seaweed strips, and wasabli aioli). Excellent, would absolutely order again! - SEAFOOD ENTRÉES: GRILLED WHOLE DAURADE ($39; served with grilled lemon, watercress and agrodolce). Very fresh-tasting, beautifully served, and a HUGE portion. - MARKET SIDES: LT's Fried Rice ($10): added to the daurade on Dennis' suggestion to bulk up the meal for my hungry BF. Very tasty! I also had the off-menu nightly special, a snapper filet served over a bed of beets, sauteed chard and spinach, pistachios, and a goat cheese puree. It was priced at $39 and (other than the crab legs) the best thing we ordered by far! We truly enjoyed our meal, and it was made even better by the relaxing jazz music and excellent service. Thanks Lure - we will be back next time we're in town!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food here! As a seafood foodie I am always looking for a great spot to try my favorites. Located at the Lowes hotel, they open at 6- so we went a little bit after at around 7. It was extremely convenient for us as we were staying at the Lowes. The decor was wooden and very homely feeling. Almost as if I was in some sort of yacht or ship. We ordered the seafood platter and the rainbow roll for our appetizer, main meal dorado (white fish similar to Branzino), scallops and for desert a chocolate dessert. I gave the location 4 stars because of the server. Our server was not as well versed on the menu as we would have liked and wasn't very suggestive until we made it a point. Overall, Everything tasted amazingly fresh- I would definitely put this in my top 2 favorite seafood restaurants!

Yelp
The only reason why Lure Fishbar loses a star is because they forgot our appetizer. The sushi arrived with our wine, but the two seafood appetizers we ordered never arrived. This may be a big deal to some, but actually, I'm kind of glad they forgot about it, because it would have been way too much food if they had remembered it. I got the Snapper a la Plancha, which was really good. I had been craving some good fish, and their seafood didn't disappoint. The staff is also very friendly, and the visit was very pleasant. However, it is pretty expensive, so be prepared to drop a few extra dollars.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! We were here for happy hour. And had only appetizers and oysters, and drinks. Everything was super delicious. Service was on top too. Definitely will be back for a dinner, at least at NYC location.

Yelp
While staying at the Loews Miami Beach had a early Saturday dinner at Lure Fishbar. For appetizers we ordered the Salmon Tartare and the Rainbow Roll, and for our meal we ordered the Seared Diver Sea Scallops and the Burger Bash Style. Quality So the menu for Lure Fishbar is a bit eclectic, which does make sense for a hotel restaurant. Although the overall feel is for seafood, it definitely gives off a try our sushi vibes, and the best item I had heard about was the burger. In the end we tried a bit of everything and nothing really stood out. The Salmon Tartare was probably my least favorite dish as it used so much onion and so much cilantro you wouldn't even know anything else was in the dish. The Rainbow Roll was not bad, I'm not the most avid sushi eater so my experience is limited, but it did not seem like anything too special to me. I did like the variety of different seafood items it came with, but it relied heavily on cucumber and that was the taste left in my mouth. The Seared Diver Sea Scallops were probably my favorite dish and definitely left me with the impression we should have just ordered seafood. But even this dish had a assortment of baby zucchini in a puree that was very strange. Last was the Burger Bash Style, which I had read won several awards for best burger. To me it tasted like Burger King with the In 'N Out animal style sauce. I was not impressed at all and the onion rings and fries were not extraordinary either. Quantity The portion sizes for everything were very small. The Salmon Tartare was pretty standard for a Tartare, but it was very limited in terms of salmon. The Seared Diver Sea Scallops only came with three scallops and a small helping of the zucchini. The Burger Bash Style had a small patty, and though it was loaded with lots of fries they were not fries you found yourself unable to stop eating. Value One of my biggest issues was with absolutely overpriced the food was. Even if I was more impressed with the quality of the dishes I still would not have found the meal worthwhile. The most egregious item was definitely the scallops, which despite being my favorite dish were so overpriced its laughable. Ambiance Lure Fishbar is located in the second building on the Loews Miami Beach property. The restaurant does not open until 6pm so the area was very quiet when we got there soon after opening. The lead is a room with bottles of wine stacked across the walls, befitting of a nice restaurant in South Beach. We had our choice of inside or outside and we chose outside because it had cooled down just enough to be pleasant outdoors. We walked through the inside area, which was very dim, but seemed very upscale. Inside the restaurant was a good sized bar as well. The outdoor area was set on a small porch that overlooked both the pool area and the beach and ocean beyond it. Although a bit obscured it was definitely a very picturesque view. The chairs outside were very weather worn and dirty, which put a bit of a damper on things. They also did not extend the music that I assume was playing inside to the outdoor area. Crowd When we got there about thirty minutes after it opened it was still completely empty. At the end of our meal there were a few more people, but still pretty deserted. The few people who were there seemed to be families enjoying their big nice vacation meal. The fact is though they would likely have been better off heading off the property. Service The one thing about being the only people in the restaurant is you can usually count on good service. Our waiter and the staff were very attentive, but definitely not too pushy. Parking If you are going to Lure Fishbar you still have to valet through the Loews Miami Beach, which can be quite pricey. I would highly recommend looking for a garage, a lot, or even street parking in the surrounding areas. A few blocks away you will be fine. Extra I had tempered expectations for Lure Fishbar and following my meal I felt disappointed. The meal did not leave me satisfied and it also left me with a pretty terrible stomachache as well. It may have been the selection of raw seafood, but I've never had a problem before. It is my belief that there is no reason to make your way over to Lure and if you are staying at the Loews definitely wander to other places in the surrounding area.
