Lu's Tailor Shop

I absolutely love this tailor shop. It’s quite a drive for me but I will not go anywhere else. They are fast and so good!!

My experience at Lu's was incredibly disappointing. The staff was disorganized and initially tried to claim that I had already picked up my order. When I pressed for clarification, they eventually admitted that they had given my items to someone else. The entire conversation was very unprofessional and all over the place, leaving me frustrated and confused. What stood out most was the lack of accountability. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, the staff deflected blame and offered no solution. Communication was shockingly poor; they seemed ill-equipped to handle the situation and provided little assistance. Overall, Lu's exemplifies a lack of professionalism and honesty. I strongly recommend finding a business that values customer service and accountability.

I paid and left because I didn't have time to argue and I did ask for a rush hem, but she didn't do what I asked. These shorts I have had an loose thread finish and kept rolling/bunching on me. I usually just give a double roll to the end and it's fine, but this material wasn't having it. So I took it to the highest rated tailor in area, paid $20 per shorts (took in two) only to end up with this very skinny, single roll hem. I asked for a 1/2", this is not a half inch. I even tried to explain to her that I needed the hem to be thick and have structure so it doesn't roll up on me. Still rolls up. lso, this is a stretch fabric. A straight stitch is not ideal for it and the stitch is very wobbly. Photo is a comparison of shorts I roll up vs what I got.

I bought a jacket for a funeral I had to attend out of town the next day. I showed up last minute at 4pm and needed the jacket tailored to suit me. The associate was very kind and very accommodating. She understood my situation and told me she’d get it done within the hour. She did and it looks great. I’m so thankful she was willing to get me in at the end of the workday when she had other customers there (2 other people waiting but both said they could wait another day or two. Thank you to them and her). In the future when I need tailoring this will be my go to place. They were friendly, they were understanding, and they did an excellent job. Don’t hesitate to visit them for any of your needs. Support small businesses like this.

They gave my son in laws pants to someone else! First the women told him over the phone they "lost" the pants. When my daughter went in the women changed her story and said someone picked them up, yet no one in our family picked them up! She told my daughter "not my fault" that she gave his pants away to someone else! She was rude and hateful, if I could 0 stars I would!

Took a pair of shorts to be mended for my brother and she did a wonderful job and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely continue to use her services in the future :)

We had an emergency with my daughter's prom dress and she fixed it in two days. The dress fit her perfectly when we got it back. She saved us from having to buy a whole new dress. I am so grateful for this lady!

Lu's was recommended to me after I bought a suit from Styles of New York referred by Alex. She fixed the waist and hemmed my pants. I've used her shop before and she always does good work. And she works with you to get your clothes done when you want. I'm very happy with her service.

Lu is amazing! She is super nice and quick. I have taken several items to her- suit pants and jackets, jeans, and more, and every time she has made it fit very well! I would HIGHLY recommend Lu, she is extremely welcoming and doesn't overcharge for items. Thank you Lu!

Had my graduation dress fixed here a few years ago and the lady was very nice! I brought her the fabric to line the sheer bodice, the thread, and the dress. My party was only about a week out from when I gave her the dress. She had the dress done in only two days! It was perfect and only fifteen dollars! I would completely recommend coming to this tailor.

I brought in six pairs of Rock Revival jeans (three to be tapered in the lower leg, two with 4 inch tears in the groin area, and one with two tears in the front and back groin). The total for all six pairs was less than the cost of one pair of jeans. The work is incredible. I assumed the jeans with tears were a total loss but she was able to repair them and you can't even see the repair. My son was impressed with the jeans and wore a pair out of the store. She completed all of these in a week. We dropped them off last Friday right before closing time and picked them up this Friday. I highly recommend Lu's Tailor Shop.

I really had a good experiance here and the prices were awesome. I had been referred here by a friend that had her wedding dress altered and she was very happy with the service too. I brought in my wedding dress and an evening gown....remarkable service, great prices....and they are very quick. I was in and out and I told her when I needed it to be done. Very Friendly!!!!
