I recently visited Lustre Pearl with my son on a Sunday evening, and we had a pretty chill experience. The vibe at Lustre Pearl is laid-back, with a cool, rustic atmosphere and a second-story area that gives it a nice, open feel. The place wasn’t busy when we arrived around 5:30 PM, which was a plus because we didn’t have to wait for service.
One thing to note is that Lustre Pearl has a pop-up called NADC Burger (Not a Damn Chance Burger) on the first floor, tucked away to the left of the bar under an armadillo painting. If you’re looking for it, it’s easy to miss, but definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a burger.
As for the bar itself, the service was fine—no complaints there—but my Shiner Bock was pretty flat, and my son’s Coca-Cola was also lacking in fizz, which was a bit disappointing. I’d read some reviews about people being charged an extra 20% on their tabs, but I paid cash for our drinks and didn’t notice anything unusual. Prices seemed reasonable enough, but the flat drinks were definitely a downer.
If you’re planning to visit Lustre Pearl, it’s a cool spot to hang out, especially if you’re into a relaxed bar scene. Just keep an eye on your tab and maybe stick to bottled drinks if you’re picky about your beer or soda. And definitely check out NADC Burger while you’re there—it’s a hidden gem worth finding.
