"This husband-and-wife-run business offers everything from affordable appetizers to $145 per slab cebu lechon. The restaurant is well-known for its pork sisig, akin to Kapampangan-style but opting for pork belly rather than ear, and its salo-salo platter." - Darlene Horn, Paolo Bicchieri

Surprisingly I forgot to take pictures of my food. But it was really delicious. I got the chciken adobo with bone-in with garlic fried rice and bisteak with white rice. I preferred the chicken adobo more than the bisteak but they were both better than I expected. Especially the chicken adobo. Usually when I order this out I always feel like my grandma's is better but this time I felt the flavor was very similar and it was a nice surprise. I loved that they had the option of boneless, my grandma always removed the bones for me growing up but they were out so I wasn't able to try it this time. Next time for sure! I also got the ube ice cream which is always good. Looking forward to trying the beef caldereta, milk fish, sisig and tapsilog Service was good the people were friendly. :)

I saw this establishment on TikTok, and a user was highly enthusiastic about it, so we decided to give it a try. However, the user's recommendation was rather excessive. The food we ordered was quite bland. The pancit tasted like boiled noodles and cabbage, the lumpia were small and thin for the price, and the sweet and sour sauce was overly vinegary. Their supposedly "famous" sisig also lacked flavor; it was essentially chopped, fried, unseasoned pork belly on a hot plate. The lechon was acceptable, but the sauce was unappetizing. The garlic fried rice lacked any discernible garlic flavor.

We ate lunch for the first time. It was Super Bowl Sunday and the restaurant was busy. There were many people with pickup orders. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are reasonably priced. We ordered pork lumpia. My husband is Caucasian and does not eat authentic Filipino dishes. He wanted boneless adobo but they were out of it so he had the ones with bones. He was very disappointed because there were no breast. There was little meat from the dark meat pieces. I ordered crispy pork Kare Kare. It was ok. The portions of meat and vegetables were small and the sauce didn’t have lots of flavor. It is a casual restaurant where you line up to order your food and they deliver them to your table.

My first time visiting today and I’ll surely return! The chicken adobo was tender and packed with flavor. The garlic rice was delightfully balanced and a fantastic complement to the adobo. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, welcoming to either the stay-and-eat or to-go crowd, and the plants in front are beautiful and well-tended. My order was prepared in a reasonable amount of time and piping hot upon receipt. The service was attentive and courteous. Very grateful for the experience and full belly today.

I really wanted to like this place. It's super cute inside and the people working there were very nice. We ordered two different noodle dishes one with tofu and one with shrimp. The one with tofu came with a decent amount but the one with shrimp only came with three shrimp. Are you trying to tell me you're charging an extra $2.50 for three small shrimp? Both dishes were incredibly salty, but bland and one dimensional flavor-wise at the same time. We got some vegetable lumpia and it was average. Also very salty and whatever the clear liquid was that you're supposed to dip it into, was not good and I do not recommend it. I'm sure they have other things on the menu that are better, but it's a 0/2 on this visit and I probably won't be back.

Nice to have a Filipino restaurant in north county. Lots of parking. There are tables inside and outside. You order and pay before you sit. We ordered: -pork sisig w egg, comes w rice ($14.45) -oxtail kare kare w garlic fried rice ($20.95) -beef caldereta w garlic fried rice ($14.45) -cebu lechon 1/2 lb ($13.45) Their specials and signature dishes come with rice. Extra for garlic rice. If you eat there, the dishes are plated on real dinner plates which gives you a sense of a formal family dining experience. We also go complimentary salt and pepper chips. If you live in north county, you can get your Filipino cravings satisfied. I still believe the best sisig is in Mira Mesa. The cebu lechon was my favorite here. The ambiance here is quite fun. Filipino pop songs blasting through the speakers and the workers are singing along while they work. They offer party trays and catering.

We are visitors in San Diego and were craving for some filipino food. We decided to go to this restaurant due to it’s 4.5 star google review. We ordered Chicken Siopao, bulalo, pancit combo and pork sisig. The siopao was served cold. I informed the cashier and was offered to microwave the food. Next were the rest of our food. The sisig was dry and overcook. Not sure if its their style but the egg on was cook over hard. (Normally, its a runny sunny side up egg for customer to mix with sisig). The pancit combo was bland. The bulalo was the best tasting dish out of what we ordered but the bone marrow (which was “saved for last”) was still frozen. I respectfully brought the issue to the staff’s attention. She eventually offered to heat up bone marrow but we assumed that they will just microwave the food so we declined. We were given a MINI leche flan for the cold bone marrow to be shared between 4 people. Although the gesture was there, the way it was delivered lack sincerity. The ambiance was good but service was minimum. I wish our concerns were address at a more hospitable manner. Overall, we will not go back again.

Yelp
Best lumpia in North County if not all of San Diego, which is saying a lot given the abundance of Filipino food in SD! Have eaten food from Lutchi since the pandemic years. Top notch quality Filipino food. They catered food for my son's birthday several years ago and have asked them to cater again for another upcoming event. Guests raved about the lumpia. Usually order to go but if dining in, location is accessible with decent parking. Modest sized dining area. Check them out for authentic high quality Filipino food!

Yelp
Delicious local spot for Filipino food with lots of flavor - especially salt, garlic and vinegar! Excellent people, quick and efficient service. Unassuming, clean and bright cafe.

Yelp
Today right when they opened, they saved the day for me. it's my daughter's birthday and I was able to order enough lumpia for our guests aswell as accommodate those who food preference (tofu pancit). You helped me be a good mother as I had work and couldn't cook this morning. Great catering for party's and family celebration's.

Yelp
One of only a few homestyle Filipino restaurants in North County San Diego. I've tried multiple and this one Ranks pretty high on the flavor scale! It's not the best I've had in North county but it's close. The restaurant space is small, but it's nicely decorated and has friendly staff! I drove out here to pick up food for my coworkers and so I ordered a bunch of different things! Sisig with garlic rice plate (co-worked said it was tasty and gave it a 7 out 10) Chicken Adobo w/garlic rice plate (8 out of 10) Pancit Bihon (7 out of 10) Lumpia 10 pieces (6 out of 10) The pancit was a little dry for me and the flavor was missing something that would make it a Homerun! Lumpia was ok but sauce was oily and not very tasty. Everything else was delicious

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lutchi and Mary, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Filipino dishes, and everything I tried was delicious. The Kalderetang Kambing was a standout, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed throughout my meal. The service was prompt and professional, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Lutchi and Mary is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy genuine Filipino cuisine. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
Delicious place to grab lunch or early dinner ( only open till 6) This time I had the crispy pork Sisig Sisig. It was tasty, crunchy with onions and red bell peppers but a bit dry. I have had the regular pork version which I think is better. They give you alot of rice with this dish. The husband had the adobo pork, which had great flavor. We also had the pork lumpia, which were freshly cooked with good flavor. In the past have had the Kare Kare that was deliously peanutty. Not alot of Philippino in North County check it out!

Noelle E.

Yelp
I love this place! They've been my go to for potluck parties! Always a hit with every party I've brought their carering sized pancit canton-bihon and lumpia! Friendly staff and service with such welcoming smile! Too bad the parking structure isn't built for larger parties aka typical decent Filipino family size. Not their fault, so for now I'll just enjoy getting their delish food for to go.

Yelp
We came back here after 3 years and already knew that the food would be good AND their halo halo (with the UBE ice cream) was good. Friendly service. The place is clean with nice decor. The portions are just right (but it's always too much rice ). I had the beef steak or bistek and wasn't used to the red onions. I've always had it with white, sweet onions. The meat was tender and delicious. My husband had garlic fried rice with 1 egg and lechon. We went back the next day and I ordered the Tocilog which comes with garlic fried rice. My husband ordered their pork sisig with egg and white rice. Again, we weren't disappointed. I should've gotten white rice instead of garlic rice, but it was just as good. We will definitely come back when we return to the area and will recommend this place.

Yelp
Love the food !!! Great service !!! Very nice people. Food are fresh !!! I've been bringing my friends, coworkers & relatives from all over the world to eat at this place !!! The place is busy even on Sundays, they are the only ones open. Nothing is perfect, I can't complain. Their employees have tried their best to be very nice & patient wt a smile. Like I said, I loved this placed. I gave them an 8-10 !!!

Yelp
I tried this food awhile back and it was pretty good, just a bit pricey for the small portions you get. Their pork belly is delish and I heard their halo-halo is pretty good. But this is more of a review for the catering. I really wanted to buy a cebu lechon slab from them because it is local where I live and their photos on instagram looked perfect. The full slab is $165 and half slab is $85. I ordered a half slab for pickup on Christmas Eve. Upon pick up I did tip a few extra dollars due to it being open on a holiday. So overall I paid $90 for the half slab. Now, this part is on me as I didn't check it. I just grabbed the order and left to my Christmas party. Getting home, I saw that the slab is very small than expected, and it was burnt. As a fellow filipino also, I know that the skin should be crispy but not burnt and hard. I took a photo right when I got home, sent it to their instagram and said they would get back to me after the holiday, and never did. I tried asking for a reference photo for a full slab and half slab so I can compare it to what I received, but I also did not get that either. Unfortunately, I would not order this again. Very disappointed and I do apologize for this negative review, but would not want you to waste your money on this.

Yelp
I found the perfect place for comfort food and such a hidden gem in San Marcos. I cook kare kare myself so I have a hard time finding a place that can deliver and Lutchi and Mary's place did not disappoint. I wanted to order everything on the menu! But I settle for "kare kare" a Filipino stew with oxtail in a rich thick peanut sauce. My first bite "Omgggg!" I even got the sauce with you. The color was rich and vibrant. The sauce was perfect not so thick. Well rounded. My tummy was full! We also ordered the chicken adobo and it tasted just as authentic as my cooking. Such a treat to be traveling and enjoy authentic home cooked meal. The service was amazing, friendly and food came out pretty fast. Cute and comfortable seating. Don't forget to stop by check this place out! I enjoyed it!

Yelp
Delicious authentic Filipino food. We not from this area and wanted to try some delicious Filipino food and came across this tiny little restaurant. We ordered there half bangus, pork belly sinigang and there langka (unfortunately, they were out of it) we ended getting the Laing. I must say as someone who was born in the PI, this is a pretty delicious spot. The sinigang had good amount of protein and vegetables, the good part about the dish was the veggies were not over cooked. The crispy bangus was flavorful and had a side of vinegar. The portion size is just the right amount. Even the scoop of rice they have- it's like the perfect amount.. and as Asians we always go for more rice- so I must say it was the perfect amount. As for the Laing, it was delicious and flavorful- but it was missing a tad bit more of the coconut flavor.. but overall it's a very delicious place to eat!

Yelp
I honestly wasn't sure if good Filipino food existed in San Diego north of Mira Mesa Boulevard. But as the old saying goes, when you assume, you make an ass out of "u" and me, right? Lutchi and Mary serves up sizzling sisig, made with your choice of protein (even tofu for vegans!) with a side of rice for under $15. The plate arrives to your table literally still sizzling, as it should be in any proper filipino restaurant serving this delicious dish. Accompanied by your choice of plain or garlic rice and a wedge of lemon, they really execute this well. I enjoyed every bite! The workers were so friendly and accommodating, and it felt extra Filipino to hear them sing along to cover songs from behind the counter. I noticed an extensive catering menu and would definitely consider ordering from here for my next party. Parking was as easy as it can get in this small strip mall. They accept credit cards and there's a clean restroom, too. No complaints!

Yelp
I am so grateful my husband found this restaurant! We currently live in Murrieta, where authentic Filipino food is hard to find in our area. Upon walking into the restaurant, we were kindly greeted by the staff. The food we ordered was top-notch, especially the sisig which comes to your table sizzling hot. Paired with a halo halo beverage was the best! The overall vibe I felt at this restaurant was comfort Filipino food and hospitality. It's hard to find restaurants nowadays that are low key but big on flavor and decently priced. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant. Totally worth the 35 mile drive for us :)

Vivian V.

Yelp
This small Filipino restaurant feels really homey maybe because the seating looks and feels like old dining room sets collected throughout the years. I like that a lot. Ordering is at the counter and the ladies who work there are great if you're torn between a couple of items. My husband's step mother was Filipina so he grew up with some great home-cooking and was exited to come here. We have been here probably 4 times total and I'd love to say I have tried new things but I haven't. I always always get the Pork Sisig crispy but hey I do alternate the spice levels. I got mild the first time, medium the second and on the third time I tried it spicy and that will be my go to now. I like this dish with the garlic fried rice but honestly may try it with steamed rice next time. I live for the pickled tomato in this. Amazing. 5/5 Lumpia is great and we always get this as well. Love the sauce that comes with. 5/5 My husband has ordered a couple of different pancits and loved them. He is excited to get Sinagong soup next time the way his step mom used to make. This place gets really busy but it's easy to see why. We will be back soon.

Yelp
This is the most delicious Pilipinx food ever. Love the kind and friendly like family staff who welcome you and are quick to turn around your order. Amazingly decorated inside with plenty of rustic farmhouse style seating with lots of Pinxy pride. Appreciated highly the expansive menu and the yummiest chicken adobo, tocino, longanisa, sisig, BBQ, lumpia, Halo halo, and more. Especially adored the family style luncheons big family plates with BBQ, Pancit, Lumpia, and more. Will return again and again. Deepest gratitude.

Yelp
Our recent visit to the small-owned Filipino restaurant was truly a delight! It was a clean and welcoming establishment. The employees were attentive and friendly. The highlight of our dining experience was definitely the flavorful pork sisig. It was packed with delicious flavors that left us wanting more. Only thing we didn't like is the pieces of pork were small and we both choked on it due to some chewier pieces. The beef pares was decent, but it was the pork sisig that stole the show. What impressed us the most was the quality of the food, even for takeout. The lumpia was perfectly crispy and not soggy at all, despite being packaged for takeout. Kudos to the restaurant for maintaining the same level of excellence even when enjoying their food at home. With such a positive experience, we can proudly say that we no longer need to make the drive to Mira Mesa for Filipino cuisine. This hidden gem has everything we need, and we can't wait to go back to try more of their mouthwatering dishes. I recommend giving this small-owned establishment a try.

Yuni F.

Yelp
We found this place by accident on the way to CSUSM and I'm glad we did. I liked the lumpia and lechon kawali more than the bistek, which was salty for me, but tasted just like my mom's, which is also salty (haha). The pickled cucumbers were so good and the nice young lady gave me some to take home. The inside is very nice and there are lots of tables for groups. I want to go back and try their halo halo.

Yelp
Filipino food is highly scrutinized. Aunties across the land can't agree on the proper way to make adobo and as a result, we all benefit from the never ending war for the best recipe. L&M's big claim to fame is their sisig and they don't disappoint. My personal fav is the bangus sisig; fried milkfish with veggies and rice. While you're there, I'd also recommend the calamari because you pretty much can't go wrong with fried squid deliciousness. My only knock would be for the lumpia. Usually it's a standard sort of recipe but, maybe it was just this visit, the lumpia was kind of bland; needed salt and a bit of spice. Again, though, could've been a one-off. Top notch Filipino in north county.

Garth P.

Yelp
This is a very cute and quaint spot. I always recommend restaurants that are right next to vets or dog groomers. For some reason they are always delicious. This one is by a dog groomer. Reasonably priced: 2 large entrees with rice and two orders of lumpia (veggie and pork) for $38. My big butt even took stuff home. The pork sisig was crispy and fresh and veggie pancit 100% hit the mark. The veggie lumpia was greasier than a 12 year old boy's face after a a long weekend. Always comes down to, "Would I come back?" Answer: yep!

Nina N.

Yelp
Amazing pork sisig dish!! Good with garlic rice & an egg on top. I think the dish would've tasted better if the egg was yolky but dish was overall delicious and pork was crispy! This place also serves complimentary chips :) The pork sisig w/ egg and garlic rice came to be about ~$18, which I think is a little pricy but the portion is great for two people. The halo halo is an extremely popular dessert here too. Will definitely try that next time I come back. Abundant parking available in this plaza and plenty of tables available for dine-in.

Vince P.

Yelp
Some of the most authentic Filipino you can find in the SD area! They pride themselves on their home cooked meals and amazing customer service. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Once you walk in, you order at the counter and then seat yourself wherever you like. Wifey and I ordered the laing, chicharon bulaklak, and the Cebu lechon with garlic rice. To end our meal, we made sure we got some halo halo for the ride home! Everything was delicious and comforting to the soul! Overall, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They give very generous portions and they have a great selection of authentic dishes on their menu. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Yelp
It was a very crowded filipino restaurant. Home styled. Cosy little place. The food is pretty good. Fried rice was crispy at parts and was overall pretty good together with the chicken adobo I ordered. Chicken adobo was made with thigh meat and cooked and seasoned really well. Very tender. The pork skewers were fantastic. My husband was really raving about this. He gave me a slice of pork and it was beautifully juicy and tender at the same time with the charred sides. Fantastic! We did order a some lumpia- which came after our food was delivered. It felt like it was forgotten. And left on the table inside the kitchen. We didn't grab any photos of it- as it came after. It still looked good. But it was not as crispy as I expected. It was a little soft in the middle but the filling was still good. Overall, i will return for the other food but probably not lumpia. I might still give lumpia a second try. Still looking around. If the lumpia had come fully crispy- this would be my go to for Filipino food.

Ken T.

Yelp
Food is great! delicious, portions are fair for their respective prices(for the area that they are situated), not oily. Service is professional and the place is decent. I gave it a 5 stars because of their professionalism and the food are not excessively oily. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Lutchi and Mary while visiting SD from LA. My boyfriend and I were craving some Filipino food and found this place. Located inside of a plaza with plenty of parking. This is an order at the counter and seat yourself type of restaurant. The menu had so much to choose from but we decided to go for 2 dishes. What was ordered: Pork Sisig w/Garlic Rice and Egg: 3.5/5 Although the pictures of the food looked delicious, we felt like the dish was ok. It wasn't a memorable dish. Kare Kare w/Oxtail: 3/5 This dish was ok, I felt like the oxtail wasn't tender enough and the meat wasn't falling off the bone as easily. In regards to the sauce, it was more of a watery consistency and was missing a bit more of the peanut butter taste. Overall, the menu looks promising and I would love to come back and try other dishes when I'm back in SD. Enjoy!

Nia L.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years ever since I was 12 years old taking public voice lessons. It's been my favorite Filipino place to go to -- everyone is so welcoming, friendly, and most of all -- the food is amazing! The decor is modest and minimal, and everything feels nice to look at :) I went here with my friend today after we watched a live showing of Carmen's modernized opera from the Met Opera at the cinema nearby. We had a lot to say, and the food made our conversation a little bearable. Salamat po, ninangs and ninongs!!

Yelp
I was excited to come here when i found out it was only 20 min from our spot. The place was nicely decorated, very clean. You order at the counter first. For my first time, i order the Oxtail Kare Kare since i haven't ate it in awhile.... As i was waiting , they gave me some home made chips which was good! When the dish came, presentation was great as you can see on the pic. Nice amount of veggies, mainly eggplant, greens and string beans. The meat, however... the oxtail itself..... i was disappointed. skip this and order something else if you want more meat. I didn't get hardly the meat part in the oxtail... mostly bones with little meat around the edges. I've eaten oxtail soup or kare kare at other places that will def give you more meat for the price you pay $20 and sadly, this is not it. There is that big oxtail bone in the pan with no meat in it... i had some little bones with very few meat to enjoy around it. The flavor was on point, though. Although, i will not order this again here. I will def try something else next time and hopefully i can upgrade my rating.

Yelp
Food is good but if I can only recommend not to serve the food unless it's all complete ! He served our main dish and apologized saying we have to wait for 10 minutes for rice ... I was like wait3! Ha ha ha ... not asking for discount but at least make an effort to ease customers... First and last...

Yelp
This place reminded me of home. The dining tables set up gave that type of vibe. We got the soft pork sisig, adobo gata and the pork belly Kare kare. The soft pork sisig was good. It wasn't the typical sisig that most Filipino places in Temecula serves. It had a different taste to it which was perfectly balanced out. 8/10 for my bf and I. As for the adobo gata, I give it a 1/10. It was their special. It was so salty. I can't even emphasize how salty it was. I brought it up to the lady taking orders to ask if that's how it was supposed to be. She stared, "Sort of. They just follow the recipe back there." We didn't touch much of the plate as I was getting a headache from the saltiness. Also, the food was served cold. It came out pretty quick. So not sure if it was left overs. I ended up ordering the pork belly kare kare which was way better. My bf enjoyed it pretty well and so did I. Would recommend that over the adobo. We didn't get to eat much of it and had it taken home. Portion was, not a good sit down family place for parties of 4 or more. My bf and I thought the servings were good for 2 people. I was going to try the dessert but lost my appetite after the adobo. Overall, would try again if in the area.

Yelp
Filipino food.... A hidden cuisine of the southeast Asian/ Pacific Islander population. This mom and pop restaurant provided all the homestyle feels you can look for when it comes to food and ambiance. When you enter, you are greeted with a comfortable interior with a few tables to give you a farm to table vibe. I was expecting a la cart, but you order at the counter and they bring it to your table so this was very different from what I was use to. We ordered lechon, sisig, topsilog, and wherever else we can get our hands on. The food came out quick and tasted great! We also treated ourselves to halo halo at the end, y'all are sleeping on this joint. Come by and check it out! Parking is sort of limited but come during lunch since it's a little slower for the plaza!

Sylvia O.

Yelp
The tocino is ok. It's sweet, but missing that grilled, salty flavor that makes it good. The pork lumpia, also ok. Not the best Filipino food out there, but if I lived in the area, really really wanted Filipino food and was too lazy to cook, I'd come here. Also, when I called ahead to order the lumpia for pick up, I was told they would call me when the lumpia was ready. No estimated time given. After 30 mins, I decided to walk in the restaurant and ask about my order. The lady grabbed a small bag on the side and brought it to the counter. Who knows how long it was sitting there, but when I got to my car, I opened the bag and the lumpia was nearly cold. I was hungry and needed to get back to work so I didn't really have time to complain.

Jasmine D.

Yelp
Dined in and ordered a couple dishes to go. Had the lechon kawali and oxtail kare-kare. You order at the counter, are given a number, and sit anywhere. Entrees are served with either steamed or garlic rice, or can be ordered a la carte. Seemed like a popular place, as many people came in picking up go go orders, and we were lucky to get one of the last orders of lechon kawali before they ran out. Lechon kawali came out first, and my husband devoured it before the kare kare arrived. The kare kare had two large pieces of oxtail, fresh veggies, and was topped with peanuts and fried garlic. Both dishes were good and satisfied my husband's craving for Filipino food. They were out of the sago gulaman, so we got the buko pandan, which was sweet and had lots of coconut & jelly.

Yelp
I took my family here a few days ago when they came to visit us here in San Diego. We're Filipino, so we love supporting local Filipino restaurants and eating food that make us feel at home! There were 7 of us, but all of our dishes came out within 20 minutes. The staff was super friendly (shoutout to the nice Ates behind the counter)! We ordered a variety of dishes including their tocilog (sweet pork / tocino with fried rice and eggs), sinigang, beef kaldereta, pork sisig, pork liempo, and their Cebu lechon. I only got a photo of some of the dishes, but everything was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. I also recommend ordering their sago gulaman drink (free refills!), and the halo-halo is to die for (lots of toppings and not all shaved ice like other places). I also appreciated the big bottles of water that we were able to bring to our table. Thanks kapamilya! Looking forward to bringing our future guests here.

Yelp
Good food. My go to spot for any Filipino food since my family is all long distance now :)

Yelp
My girlfriend brought me here because she wanted to eat some Filipino food. Place has plenty of parking, the restaurant has a cute theme to it had all these cute interiors and it seemed like a chill vibe. Definitely somewhere you can sit, eat and have good conversations at. Servers were great and friendly and service was pretty quick, but also we came in and there were only this one other couple there. But the food came in about im going to say 15 minutes after we ordered it, we had it for take out. My girl got the bistek and I got the pork kawali and we had an extra order of lumpia, it was a good serving size! It came with rice and you have the option for garlic or regular white rice and you gotta pay extra for the adobo rice. It was so good though! I liked how my pork was cooked it was still crispy even after having it in its container for a bit before we actually ate our food and my girlfriends bistek really tasted good too! It tasted different from what I'm used to but it's still good! The lumpia was something that regular though, I've had a lot better, I just don't think I would order that again. But if I'm ever around this area again I would come back and have the pork fried kawali again! Also! They had the mango and calamansi drinks, the mango was fire! I didn't really get to taste the calamansi one but my girl said it was whack

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised to have good eats in a quaint Filipino restaurant in San Marcos. Food and service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again. Sorry I did not take picture of our food we just got to excited to eat and forgot. Tayo na kain na....

Yelp
Excellent food, good service, clean space, great vibes. Not sure if anyone can beat their Halo Halo. Wish I lived closer to come more often.

Yelp
Not authentic Filipino. Meat is as tough as elbow. Tasted weird and just not the real deal. I do not recommend.

Yelp
The food is good and I love how close to home it is! The big thing I want to point out is there SERVICE. I went in and placed an order to go and I waited 45+ min and all the people/parties who ordered after me that were dining in all got there food before me. That seemed pretty unfair tbh. If you're fine with a long wait, this won't apply for you. Although, for future reference, I highly recommend placing an order through the phone if you're trying to not wait that long! Also, I'm pretty sure I overheard them forgetting to make one of my orders (lanka) and just wished that instead of telling us __ mins left, they could've just told us they didn't make it and forgot lol. Note taken though, just call ahead of time and place your order! That's the only thing here, previous times too, my mom and I had to wait a long time!

Yelp
It was ok, had a lemon beef dish, over salted and the pancit was bland. Lumpia was good, but how can you really mess up something deep fried.

Yelp
Upgraded interior and there must be a new chef that is amazing. Great food now and good ambiance.

Yelp
Food (5/5 stars): We finally tried our local Filipino spot! They're very generous with the portions and reasonably priced. Plus, the Pork Sisig and Pancit were delicious. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes, like the Lechon Kawali and their Silogs, next time Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: very reasonable (better than most Filipino restaurants) * Wait Time: minimal on a Sunday for lunch * Service: very good and friendly * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a nice, small, modern restaurant

Yelp
I usually don't like to go to Filipino restaurants because I prefer my mom's cooking, but this place is pretty good! I also enjoyed the desserts and drinks offered. It's a cute restaurant equipped with friendly staff.

Yelp
I've seen this place for such a long time and never had an opportunity to come until today and I am so glad that I did!! I'm not very familiar with Filipino food and after reading the menu I still didn't know what I wanted so I asked the very nice girl behind the counter for some guidance I had the pork sisig with garlic rice and it was delicious!! it came sizzling on a platter in a cast-iron skillet and was cooked perfectly! my server and everybody there was extremely friendly and kind. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and the restaurant was so cute and welcoming and clean!! I will definitely be going back and trying other things on the menu. I highly recommend this place it was great.!!

Yelp
Good Filipino cuisine. You'll know because it gets busy. Try the noodles and Sinigang soup. Yum yum!

Yelp
I've gone here so many times and the food is amazing every time. The staff is always very kind and attentive. Definitely my favorite food spot in San Marcos!
