This place is awesome! Such a classy setting. We got there before they opened and they let us hang out in the bar until then. Very kind staff. I love how uniquely the food is served, all the sides just come out on their own regardless of what you ordered, and it's all so good! I highly recommend anything with their hollandaise sauce like my chicken Milan I ordered. The huckleberry ice cream was so amazing!

Google
Great dining like it used to be 1950s into the 80s. Inclusive meals with great options. The veal was excellent.

I went here for my one year anniversary on a Monday and it was super quiet. Fast service and amazing wine and halibut.

Google
Atmosphere and staff were delightful. Food was not. Ordered a medium rare porterhouse and it was served well done. The steak was curled up on the edges. It was very dry and tasteless. It was also around 1/2 inch thick. The steak in the surf and turf was ordered medium well and was served rare. It was purple throughout. Terrible wasted of 150 dollars.

This place is like taking a step back a few decades, in a lovely way. Lydia’s reminds me of supper clubs from the Midwest. Absolutely steeped in tradition, Lydia’s is truly an experience. Reservations are recommended. Each entree comes with various accoutrements. Salads come first, then huge plates of pasta and ravioli and fries. A scoop of ice cream rounds out the experience. On the most recent visit, we also got a blooming onion. Most of the food is good, some of it is great. The steak I got was okay but nothing special. It’s more about the experience here.

Google
Food took a very long time. Appetizer never arrived and when we asked about it, were told that it would come with our main food. Meat was way undercooked and served a bad cut of meat, they took the full uneaten filet back and said they wouldn’t remove the charge as it was cut into. Appetizer that finally arrived you couldn’t even bite into it because it was so overcooked. Really disappointed that we were treated so poorly with such a terrible meal.

Google
It was an awesome experience. Salad is waiting for you at the table. The servers were very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection. You also get a plate of spaghetti, fries and some ravioli with your meal. Then a small bowl of ice cream at the end. Very retro feel with an awesome atmosphere and vibe. Definitely would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Google
Quite an experience around 7.00 pm. Great people watching, and fantastic but slightly overwhelming dinner. Staff really friendly and helpful. The bar is great, with a little memorial to Anthony Bourdain, but they need to bone up on how to make a decent Old Fashioned.

Yelp
I've been coming here for 45 years- things have changed, but the character has not. People who visit Butte may never get it, but those of us born here know exactly what we're in for- and we love it.

Yelp
Lydia's exists in past glory. The parking lot and exterior have not been touched in 40 years. We ate there last week after it was recommended as the best meal in Butte, but honestly Taco Bell is better. the lamb chop was overcooked. The menu states there is an appetizer platter but it's one piece of salami and half slice of cheese on the side of your salad. The hostess was bored and more interested in her nails than seating people. My wife's salmon was done well, otherwise it would be 1 Star.

Yelp
You hear about roadside classics all. the. time. But Lydia's Supper Club has been a mainstay on Harrison Avenue for almost 60 years. The building itself is a landmark of mid-century design, particularly the dining room with its sunken main section and the bar. Have they updated the interior design since opening--well maybe in the late 1970s! You come again and again for the "supper club" experience--once common in Montana and now so rare to find. Every dinner comes with multiple courses. The relish tray is gone, replaced by sweet potato salad but the salad course is better with a few salami and cheese triangles on the side. Anchovies on request. The pasta course still has the red meat sauce and spaghetti and ravioli (the latter was undercooked). Then crispy French fries too. Once you do the carb load, it's time for the beef--all pan fired perfectly. I had the porterhouse, because I could, while others loved the filet. There are chicken and fish options too. But you come here for the beef IMHO. The wine list is sparse but the cocktails are classic, and solid. Loved my old fashioned. Throughout all of the courses the service was spot on. Attentive and responsive. And prices? Totally fair for all of good meals you can have here

Yelp
Very disappointed in the quality, class and ingredients. If you claim to be a high class Italian restaurant there are several things you should do and not do. Don't use processed cheese in the salad, don't put out cheap tiny breadsticks in plastic- use good long bread sticks or realistically an Italian restaurant should have bread. Don't serve wet half mashed sweet potatoes- that is not sweet potato salad. Do serve the appetizers before the meal not during. On a hot sunny day close the blinds so people can see each other. The main courses were okay but way overpriced. same food cheaper in other restaurants. To charge people for using a credit card is extremely cheap and wrong because we all know that you added that to the cost of doing business long ago. So you are having the customer pay twice. Remember, people don't mind paying for quality, but they hate paying for cheap.

Patricia H.

Yelp
Don't bother. Went here for my sister's birthday. She ordered Veal Scallopini which was tough as shoe leather. For $37! She sent it back and had them remove it from the bill which they did. I had the $43 halibut which was good but way over priced. The salads and house dressings were tasty while the pasta was mediocre. Service was subpar. The waitress mixed up our order and it took a half hour longer to get my fish. For a fine dining establishment it was really lacking both in food quality and service. We'll never go back.

Yelp
You have to experience this restaurant. A walk back in time, with great food, and impressive service. The restaurant is an icon. There have been several great dining experiences in Butte but this is an absolute must. The ambiance is fabulous. Do not miss this establishment.

Yelp
Nothing stays the same. I'm old (67) and I remember dining at Lydia's many years ago when the relish tray came first with carrots and celery and salami and olives. bread sticks fresh , not packaged in cellophane. Cocktail servers knew a cocktail onion was served with a Gibson. Sorry, but I miss the gals who called you hon, and didn't have a nose ring. Fries are a waste of food . My chicken Marsala was good, my husbands breaded shrimp, not so much. I wanted to go to Lydia's for sentimental reasons....but won't be back. Nothing stays the same, not even Lydia's in Butte America

Yelp
Classic supper club including the atmosphere. The meal was outstanding and the service was on point. Our server/waitress was charming. Great experience.

Yelp
This place is amazing. We live in Silver Star and drive over to Butte just to come here for dinner. The staff is so happy and eager to serve, and the food is incredible. Thank you for being such a gem of a restaurant!

Yelp
This place was a different kind of restaurant than what you typically see in Montana; hence the name "supper club." The food had a southern style slant. The fish was excellent. They had cold sweet potato salad. That was a new one for me. Their decor was a little old and swanky but I loved it! The middle of the restaurant had a sunken rectangle floor with more tables and the lighting was a conversation piece. They had oval high backed booths and there was a red velvet theme. The food was definitely worth it. It's a place everyone should try once. PS no kids in there...which I thought was odd. Loved it!

Yelp
My wife and I ate at Lydia's yesterday. The food was terrific. We love the sweet potato salad that comes with every meal. We had fried chicken and it was good also. We found the spaghetti and ravioli that comes with each meal delicious. The waiters were courteous and paid attention. The ambience was enhanced by the 15 ft wide Tiffany chandelier and the many stain glass windows from all over the world. I didn't see any problems that were mentioned in other bad reviews. We definitely will go back.

Yelp
TURN AROUND! Do NOT eat here.... The inside is just a crap as the outside. Worst place in Montana, our server Lisa lean was so bewildered on their menu. She didn't know what sauces went on the dishes she didn't offer what the next tables server offered. The lime aioli on the calamari isn't available and we got ranch instead, when i asked the server Lisa Lean she gave me a dumb look like it was her 1st night. For the salad dressings she couldn't even tell me what the house dressing was. She didn't offer us anchovies nor sweet potato salad, she didn't offer us white or red sauce on the spaghetti. Which was all fine until we got the food and the King crab stunk and tasted like a week old left in the gutter trash crab. My daughters filet order medium well came out blue mowing & the WACK Server Lisa Lean says ohhh whoops med WELL & med RARE sound the same.... What an idiot :( my sons ribeye was med rare and tougher then the shell on the crab! I explained all this to our server, showed her the steak was to hard to cut. She started to argue with my kid that it has fat in it, when my son stepped in and explained that the menu says marbled and a nice marble steak should tear apart. She started to argue some more and blatantly said nope I'm not going to argue as she said ohhh ok and walked away. STEAKS HAD ZERO FLAVA needs lots of A1. We didn't take any food home i didn't touch but one leg of my crab & nothing was offered to make our visit a pleasant one. After we got the bill we asked to talk to a manager and GUESS WHO ISBTHE MANAGER LISA LEAN THE WORST SERVER IN THE WORLD! I was a server for 15 years at some very high end restaurants, i love serving people and this Manager is a perfect example of a lady who does drugs or drinks on the job. LISA LEAN is absolutely the WROST MANAGER i think she is mental! I will NEVER REFER Lydia's supper club! Was the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life! Let me say the spaghetti red sauce taste like chefboyardee spaghetti Os BARF the ravioli BLAHHHH tasted like a mix of Vienna & spam. The butter isn't even butter HOW CHEAP CAN THIS RESTAURANT BE? Best b part we weren't even offered ice cream or dessert.

Yelp
Went in on a Thursday night, expecting a clown show based on some of the reviews others have posted. This place did not disappoint. Maybe I have been working in Montana too long, but I am from a food town, big city. I am well-traveled and familiar with the foodservice industry. I am a demanding and highly critical patron who often laughs at what qualifies as a decent restaurant in rural areas. Regardless, I found nothing wrong with this establishment. It was clean, well-decorated, and classy. The music selection was superb. Steaks and seafood well-prepared, to the liking of my Montana-bred counterparts. Limited menu? I would agree it could benefit from less of fries and more baked potatoes, as others have mentioned. More bread and fewer crackers, yes. But I didn't miss that one bit... this spot feels great because it is unique, quirky, and properly managed from my viewpoint. Zero issues with the cheery and intelligent server staff, who all coordinated their efforts to ensure we were attended to throughout the meal. The menu was slightly confusing with the "accompaniments," but there wasn't a moment when we weren't shoving something hot and tasty into our food holes. The dining room was pleasant and quiet, allowing table conversation which the waiter skillfully avoided interrupting. Relaxing and satisfying after a long, stressful day. Sure, the restroom trash was hard to reach with your used paper towel, but I am really digging deep here. An enjoyable experience, and at a good value, too, even in the current economy. There is a reason the lot is full every night, and I would consider Lydia's a top destination in Butte for any number of special occasions.

Yelp
Service is attentive. Broad menu is solid. Lots of food comes along with your order for the table for free (fries, ravioli, spaghetti, sweet potato). Our only issue is erratic food quality from one visit to the next.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
This place is an experience! It's been around for a long time and I think that's why people keep coming back. When you arrive, you've got a salad with "antipasto" on it. With some very questionable looking salad dressing offered. Breadsticks are small pre packed ones in a basket. When you order dinner, you are simply ordering a protein because your dinner comes with fries, ravioli, and spaghetti with red sauce. All which are pretty good. Otherwise food is meh! Does come with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

Kasey F.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice. Dim lighting, Tiffany stained glass, fabric booth chairs. The service was great. Food is good for the area. I really enjoyed the raviolis

Yelp
This restaurant is a true gem for all the right reasons! First, the history of the supper club and the relationship of the owners and chefs to this amazing 20th Century institution. Next, the incredible interior that takes the best of mid-century modern and Victorian era (like a supper club would!) the service is excellent - the sort of care that your family history talks about (back in my day...)And then the food. The recipes are traditional, this is not a fusion place or a 21st Century menu, but they do the 20th Century so well. Prices are beyond reasonable...I know people say they are expensive, but the food is super high quality both in preparation and ingredients. If you are looking for a dining experience that you will remember fondly for years and years, this is the place. I would argue this is one of the Crown Jewels of Butte!

Yelp
Visiting Butte last week, our friends took us to Lydia's. I found it very odd that our salads were already sitting at our table when we arrived. We had two apps, the "fried" raviolis and the goat cheese crostinis. The ravs were NOT GOOD. The goat cheese thing was AMAZING. Our steaks came with the oddest "sides." A plate of spaghetti with garlic sauce (very good!), a plate of regular raviolis (just okay) and....french fries. Those weren't great at all. My steak was good, my husband VERY much enjoyed his salmon. For desert we tried the fried oreos and they again were just okay. The decor and ambiance, however, is outstanding. Super old school, very retro design and decor. I loved that a lot.

M M.

Yelp
This is such a weird place. I went to see the ancient red velvet covered everything.... Not for the food. The creepy atmosphere did not disappoint. It's like a vampire funeral parlor/Vegas lounge from the 60s. Somehow it still smells like cigarettes.... Mixed with kitchen grease. I heard from a local you can show up at the back door with your own receptacle and they will fill it with sauce, cooked pasta, and a whole chicken lol. Very strange mismatched selection of sides or appetizers or something come with meals. I enjoyed the cheese bread appetizer with cherry compote. The potato salad was good too. Otherwise I was underwhelmed with the food. Pasta was over cooked and soggy. Overall it was an experience, and I do recommend it.
google avatar

SK R.

Yelp
I could've sat in gum or found broken glass in my food at this place (I didn't) and I'd still give it five stars for the ambiance and the martinis.

J A.

Yelp
Highly recommended. HOWEVER: We were excited to see Veal Scallopini on the menu. Knowing this was an Italian restaurant we felt confident it would be good. The menu said "medallions" of veal. By definition is tenderloin, part of the cutlet, or in some cases eye of the round. We received GROUND OR PRESSED veal. Menu was totally inaccurate. It was horrible. We would have never ordered this had the menu said what they were doing. We did not want to make a scene so we elected to call the restaurant last night. The manager Nikko never called back so we have chosen to write this review. BEWARE 10/9/2021

Bill C.

Yelp
Lydia's is a step back into time. We came to Lydia's when we travelled back to Butte - it had been 25 years since out last visit. Dinner was a solid meal starting with the cold fresh salad that was waiting for us at our table. The sweet potatoe salad is still as good as I remembered. We had the rib eye steak and the house steak. Both were cooked perfectly. The pasta was a perfect el dente. Lydia's has a well appointed wine list that we had no problem selecting the perfect pairing for our dinner. We stopped at the bar after supper for a nightcap .... Absolutely like being transported back several years (in a charming way). I had read the reviews on here about this gem. I don't understand them. This is a family owned and ran business that is carrying on a family tradition that is a welcome change to the cookie cutter establishments that we are all used to. Lydia's gives great value for a satisfying meal and left us with another great memory

Cari S.

Yelp
Service was very good and the atmosphere was as well. The food was ok but nostalgic for my husband because he grew up here. Lydia's is considered a landmark so you have to go to complete your visit to Butte.
google avatar

Eric E.

Yelp
Don't let the supper club name intimidate you. Solid food and generous servings at reasonable prices. Very attentive service. I'll be back!

Patrick H.

Yelp
Had reservations on Christmas Eve. Showed up and to our surprise the entire place was closed!!! No idea what happened. Why did they take our reservation? Why are they closed? Why didn't they call us so we could make other arrangements? We had nowhere else to go on Christmas Eve. Even the grocery stores were closed so we couldn't make something at home. Our party of eight was very upset. They couldn't take it out on Lydia's because they were closed. All blame was directed toward me.

Yelp
My Husband researched restaurants in the area and saw that Lydias was an upscale Italian-American Restaurant, so we thought we would give it a try. The place is very dated.. I have never been to an Italian Restaurant that serves bread sticks and butter.. The Salad was wilted and what Italian Restaurant does not have Italian salad dressing? Pretty sure the raviolis were frozen, they had no sauce and NO flavor. The spaghetti was not much better. We were looking forward to the Prime Rib which is only served on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately they were out because their meet delivery truck was in an accident. We were told the Halibut was the second best seller on the menu (I love Halibut) so we went with that and the Salmon. They both seemed to be breaded with the same thing. They were both dry and flavorless. Then of course there was the Margarita that seemed to be just the mix with no alcohol at all! I can't leave out that we were ALL freezing cold as the air conditioner was blasting. Not a good experience at all but we are all laughing about it today. Skip this place and go to Casagranda's Steakhouse! I give them 5 stars!

Daniel B.

Yelp
My family has been going to Lydia's for generations. Stopped there feb 13 to find the place PACKED. The bar...packed! No social distancing. The receptionist met us near the door and no mask! Being horrified by this we decided to get takeout and go home and so we were sent around to the back door to pick up our order. From the back door pick up counter you can see into the kitchen. To my shock, wait for it. ...no masks!! One cook was wearing a mask a second cook was wearing a mask over his mouth only s no one else had a mask. C'mon people. Wake up! This restaurant has been in business way too long to be acting so irresponsibly .

Carole Lynn P.

Yelp
The most disgusting food ever.,..,Good thing we had a Bottle of Wine .... Expensive.,....Nasty Sweet Potato Salad on the table.... Just Gross..... Don't ask about the Decor......

Mike F.

Yelp
"Marbled" Rib steak was 2/3 fat gristle. Friendly service but food selection needs updating: fries, plain ravioli, and spaghetti as the sides?

Paula R.

Yelp
Visited Lydia's for Mother's Day? Not impressed from the buffet. But I heard their dinners are very good here. So I will try it for dinner.
google avatar

Brianna D.

Yelp
This is a very popular local place for the older generation. The menu options are very expensive, not a thing under $18, even the kids menu was above $9. Very old style salad course with an ice berg salad with French, thousand island and a dreadful water blue cheese chunk sauce. There were one little appetizer for each person, 3 small pieces of cheese and salami, 3 green onions with ice, mashed sweet potato, packaged breadsticks and 3 slices of beet. When the main meals arrived sides also came to share family style. It was nice to have multiple sides but nothing tasted flavorful. The ravioli just tasted like starch and spicy meat with a watery red sauce. The prime rib and chicken were delicious according to my friends. A table for incoming guests was set and all prepared but the host made the waiter redo everything even the tablecloth because she said it looked terrible. We had a wonderful waiter named Levi but there was an awkward girl walking around asking if anyone wanted drinks. He atmosphere was very dark but the booths were comfortable. The first thing the host said when we walked in was "oh you don't have a reservation" so I have a feeling it's mainly a regular customer type of place. Nothing worth coming back for in my eyes, Italian is the last word to describe the food.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
A long time ago before an open pit mine swallowed Butte's Italian enclave, northern Italian women owned and operated restaurants in Meaderville. They created foods that centered not on pasta, but on chicken, pork, beef and veal. Then their neighborhood was torn apart and Lydia's moved to the very bottom of the hill. At Lydia's, food is an experience anchored by the Italian history of Butte, and the talent of the famed Lydia Micheletti who immigrated from Sasso Ferrato, Italy to Butte in 1920. Beyond the history is the dining experience. Tall red velour booths coddle the eater while they relax and enjoy dinner throughout the evening. Each meal begins with antipasti followed by an entree of meat with sides of homemade ravioli and spaghetti. There is something uncomplicated, but unique about the food here. It is absolute comfort and prepared with love, for sure the measure of greatness for Butte's immigrant cuisine.

Marti M.

Yelp
We were very excited to go a restaurant that had been around for so long. However, when we walked inside it looked like it had been around a long time. The level of filth was disgusting. There was an inch of dust over all the light fixtures, window sills and the back of the booths. It was so dark I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see the menu. My husband is the adventurous one and talked me into staying. The service was horrible and the waitress was sullen. We were out-of-towners and couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. I was really worried that I was going to get a food borne illness.
google avatar

May C.

Yelp
Superb food, especially for the house ravioli, I had to ask for a second serving. I ordered the dinner steak which is a tenderloin and it was TENDER! The dinner came with all sorts of things: salad with 3 different dressings, sweet potato salad, salami, cheese, anchovies, and scallions. Topped it off with a glass of red wine and that hit the spot. It's the kind of restaurant for special occasions or old retired people so a lone business traveler like me stuck out like a sore thumb, but who cares, the food was worth it!
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
First time we have ever given a bad to sad review on the bar. We love be the chicken on the back door but DON'T stop in at the bar too many emotional issues and BS. Love the chicken
google avatar

Japanese S.

Yelp
Seriously, I made a yelp just to complain about how bad this place is. I ordered a steak the size of a baseball and paid an arm and a leg for it! The food is overrated, the prices are way too high and the service is mediocre at best. Also the decor of this place felt like a 1970's funeral home.I'm a local and for whatever reason other locals around here think this is good. Seriously, save your money and appetite and go somewhere else.

Mitchell A.

Yelp
My wife and I escaped Portland mid- covid, it was really a treat to land at Lydia's. Great meal with lots of extras, which we ate in the bar, with outstanding service and baseball on one TV and U.S. open on another. Prevailing Montana happiness among patrons and a full restaurant assuring fresh food.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
The worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Went with my husband, 2 kids and father-in-law. Got our salad right away, but then waited almost 2 hours for our second course. Waitress did her best to ignore us the entire time. Had to wave people down for water and drink orders. After an hour managed to get her attention and waitress told us that there was a big party being served, but our food would be out in less than '10 minutes.' Still no sign of it 45 minutes later, so we walked out when the manager wasn't even willing to help us out. Another table realized they weren't trapped there either and walked out as well. The guy at Subway down the street bent over backward to make 5 sandwiches in no time. 5 stars for Subway. If I could, I would give Lydia's zero. It was that bad.
google avatar

Kristi B.

Yelp
24$ fish and chips and it doesn't even come with fries, you get the fries they put on the table, and there were scraps left, so I didn't get any! The fish was like mush, didn't eat it, sent it back! Not to mention, they probably used 2 oz. of fish, it was all wet, soggy breading. Raviolis were hard and spaghetti was undercooked and crunchy. So overpriced and food was subpar, at best.
google avatar

Trent G.

Yelp
I remember when I was a kid some 35 years ago that my grandfather would treat the family to a fancy dinner at Lydia's. I didn't realize then that I was experiencing something historic. Well now I return to Butte once a year for business at the college and Lydia's is a must visit. You get a meal in an atmosphere unlike restaurants elsewhere. It's the old fashioned supper club of yesteryear. A handful of colleagues and I visited Lydia's on a recent visit and we weren't disappointed. We all had steaks and they were great. All then stuff leading up to the steak was good too: anti pasta, salads, pickled beets, hot peppers, potato salad, green onions, anchovies and of course we finished with ice cream. This place is a must visit for anyone wanting more than a trip to Applebee's.
google avatar

Lottie M.

Yelp
Never again, been there before and was more happy than this time and that is only because of the genuine server Laura. Come to find out she "no longer works there" and I may never see her sweet face again! Don't eat there, they are substandard in every way. People need to step up their standards if they think this place is great. The food seems old and uncared

Kim Y.

Yelp
Worst meal we have ever had. The prices are outrageous for the quality of food. Ribeye steak was so overdone it was nearly jerky. The stuffed shrimp were so small they couldn't be stuffed just simply spooned the teaspoon of crab and lobster mix on top. The blue cheese dressing was the most bizarre I've ever seen. It was literally water and vinegar with chunks of blue cheese tossed in. The raviolis that come with the meal are what you would get from a can. Read some reviews and thought it couldn't be as bad as they said....wrong! This is not worth the money whatsoever.
google avatar

Heather G.

Yelp
Enjoyed the retro feel. Nice linens on tables and high back velvet benches. The table was ready for us with the first course of antipasto. So perfect and fun. The lobster was cooked perfect.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
Met at the door at 8:40 on a Friday night and were told that the kitchen was already closed guess they roll up the sidewalks early here
google avatar

Kenneth B.

Yelp
Food was good. Not great. Service timing was way off. Coffee was 10 Minutes after we were served dessert. The staff was nice and friendly, so that's a plus. The lobster was slightly over cooked, but was still very good. The ravioli was the worst I have ever had. Hard and dry, like two saltines mashed together with glue. I will be surprised if this Butte icon is still open in 5 years. Barclay's II it is for me from now on
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The prime rib was great. It also came with spaghetti, ravioli, fries, and ice cream. I am definitely coming back every time I'm in butte. The server was also very good. I got the 15oz prime rib and it was larger than anything I've ever gotten at any other steakhouse.
google avatar

Laurie P.

Yelp
Our family goes there for special occasions and have been doing so for over 50 years! Wonderful steaks, spaghetti and ravioli. We now enjoy going there for happy hour and the awesome appetizers!!! The atmosphere is so elegant and comfortable. Love
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Experienced it once but wouldn't go back a second time. Hours are 5:30 - 10 pm we arrived at 8 and waited to be seated & the place was nearly empty!! Seemed they didn't want the business with their unfriendly greeting. The food was pricey for the quality.

I recently visited Butte in search for a nostalgic experience from living in Butte during the late 60s. This restaurant has survived on the legacy of the Micheletti family and nothing else. Everything about our experience was substandard, beginning with the worn out carpeting and furniture...I could see past that but the food was incredibly horrible, given the steep prices you pay. Let's begin with the antipasto...it was flavorless and just absurd. I ordered a "special" at a premium price that was supposed to be lobster tail, crab legs and they SAID prawns??!!! What a joke! The little bitty shrimp were nothing like prawns, and overcooked to boot. My husband joked that I shouldn't have gone to Butte for seafood, perhaps he is right. The crab legs were dried out bits of meat (I think) that came out tasting like rubber. The lobster tail as ok, just acceptable. I would say the best part of the meal was a martini from the bar. Granted, we were willing to pay high prices for good food, but the entire experience left me feeling as if they were joking and as if the good people of Butte have no better place to get really good food. It was a shame, since I remembered lovely ravioli (theirs was raw and bland) and great spaghetti (it tasted like can ravioli). All I can say is if that's your only choice to be wined and dined, choose someplace else uptown. Butte is depressing and no longer the town I remember when I was growing up! Don't go there...
