Basically a budget hotel dressed up in hip styling. Photos are appealing on social media, the actual room and service falls short. Location is good and price is alright. I get it how it can appeal to younger crowds who by in large have not travel a lot to know how a good hotels should be, in my opinion the rating is not justified. It's the same league as hotel 81, no more.

Edited just to add details: We loved our stay at this hotel. staff was so friendly. They helped us find a gym to go to and gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do. We actually left two of our large bags with hotel staff for 3 nights while we went to vietnam and everything was locked up and safe when we returned. The rooms are perfect for what you need. The hotel was really clean and bright. We didn't get to try to restaurant/bar because it was being renovated, but we can't wait to come back to try it next time. Thank you for being so helpful during our stay!

Stayed at lyf Bugis Singapore and had a pleasant experience. The room is small but very clean, with strong air conditioning and good water pressure for both hot and cold showers. Most amenities need to be requested from the front desk, but the staff are friendly and always willing to assist.Drinking water is available from a dispenser on Level 2. The toilets are well-maintained and clean, so no worries there. The best part of this hotel is its fantastic location—the LRT and bus stations are nearby, and there are plenty of food options all around. Definitely a great choice for convenience!

Wasn't really mine or my partners cup of tea. The bed was comfortable and location great with food choices galore nearby a definite plus point. Appreciate it is trying to break the normal hotel style by having a social kitchen area and gathering points (didn't see anyone using them much btw) but it misses the mark elsewhere. Room initially smelt musty to the point we chose to buy air fresheners to help. The shower was great, wonderfully powerful! but having one makes the whole bathroom a wet room. Housekeeping is sporadic and inconsistent. 2 of the 4 days stay the bins were emptied, 1 day the bed was remade and 3 out of 4 days we got fresh towels because we made sure to ask. We missed having a simple kettle in the room as the 'choose your own temperature' water dispenser didn't really do it for us and lastly the TV has no channels, you have to use your phone to cast YouTube to it. Again, trendy, hip, cool, whatever... But the issue was the TV was rendered useless anyway as it had a 2 day long software 'update'. Disappointing overall but maybe we weren't the hotel's target demographic or are too closed minded. Me from 20 years ago might have enjoyed it more I think 😂

Building is clean and centrally located. Rooms were small but that was expected. Hotel could provide better amenities to make up for the small space like a proper kettle, tea , shower curtain or door

Hotel Review: lyf SingaporeI recently stayed at lyf Singapore, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Designed with a vibrant, youthful vibe, this co-living space combines modern amenities with a community-oriented atmosphere.Location:The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Singapore, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. It’s close to public transportation, cafes, restaurants, and iconic attractions, ensuring convenience throughout your stay.Ambiance and Design:The interiors are chic, with colorful and creative decor that immediately feels welcoming. The communal spaces, like the lounge and shared kitchen, encourage interaction among guests, making it perfect for solo travelers or those wanting to network.Rooms:The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with clever use of space. My room was spotless, featuring a comfortable bed, ample storage, and a sleek bathroom. While minimalist, it had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.Amenities:The facilities are excellent. The gym, co-working spaces, and laundry facilities are modern and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the communal kitchen, where guests could cook, dine, and meet other travelers.Service:The staff were friendly and approachable, always ready to help with recommendations or resolve any issues. Their enthusiasm added a personal touch to my stay.Value for Money:Considering its prime location, amenities, and overall experience, lyf Singapore offers great value. It’s especially suited for younger travelers or digital nomads looking for a blend of comfort and community.Final Thoughts:lyf Singapore stands out as more than just a hotel—it’s a lifestyle experience. The location: very close to MRT Bencoolen, close to many minimarts, safe area not too busy not too quiet, Toast box is just opposite the hotel, in a walking distance for Fort canning and Singapore National Museum, I love the location! The hotel: very new, The A.C. is not clean enough but acceptable, the daily cleaning is not provided only every 3 days, in the toilet has shampoo, body wash, conditioner, Body towel and toilet paper. You can ask for shaver kit, tooth brush&tooth paste, slipper from the reception, has glasses and cups with water dispenser, The plug is universal socket. It has hair dryer in the room. I booked King room. I think it is nice for Singapore. The Hotel atmosphere is safe, it has hotel co-space for Coffee and tea, workspace. I didn’t try other facilities but seems so cool! The security is good, need to use the keycard to access Hotel area. On ground floor has cafe and bar. Not loud, very demure customers. My family feel impressed with the hotel and we might come back to stay again!

One of the worst hotel I ever stayed. The overall experience is terrible. First, when I arrived the hotel, I wanted to have a quick look at the room but the receptionist refused to show me due to shortage of manpower. End up, I purchased from booking.com and found out the room is small, and has no soundproof at all. You can listen to other people talking and walking which is quite annoying. Secondly, their management team (I guess including the boss) was having meeting. When I was taking the lift to my room, they just squeeze in the lift with me. What a terrible team that has no customer service and the boss doesn’t lead by example. Thirdly, the next day, you can see the back (as attached below) has 3 swollen areas. Forth, they mentioned the parking is flat rate $11.90, end up I got charged for 34.90. I do not understand how they do the business and definitely will not return to this hotel anymore.
