I used to be a fan of Lynda Trang Đài, but after everything that's come to light, I can no longer support her--or her sandwich shop in Westminster.
On January 6, 2025, Lynda was arrested in Orlando, Florida for shoplifting an AirPods case from a Gucci store. She was booked at the Orange County Jail and later released on bail. Despite this, she went on Vietnamese talk shows claiming she wasn't arrested and that she just "went voluntarily" with police to avoid a scene. That's simply not true--her arrest record and court documents say otherwise. In fact, police bodycam footage has been released on Youtube, providing solid proof of her arrest, and Gucci officially pressed charges against her for theft.
Some fans have tried to brush this off as just a minor misdemeanor, but the reality is much more serious. Her trial is scheduled for July 22, 2025, and she'll have to appear in court, pay legal fees, and face the public fallout. Her reputation is taking a massive hit--and rightfully so. Fewer customers are coming to her sandwich shop, and she's no longer a welcome performer at major events. This isn't just a PR issue--it's a reflection of poor character.
Even worse, this wasn't an isolated incident. Few people know she was also caught stealing in Costa Mesa years ago. It's a disturbing pattern of behavior, not just a one-time lapse in judgment.
Being a public figure comes with responsibility. Lynda chose to steal, lie about it, and mislead her fans. That's not someone I want to support with my money or trust. Videos of her arrest are now public and will follow her forever.
Shame on anyone who continues to excuse this kind of behavior. Fame doesn't excuse theft, and lies don't erase the truth.
It's time for Vietnamese production companies like Asia, Paris By Night, Thúy Nga, Vân Sơn, Làng Văn and otheres to do the right thing by distancing themselves from Lynda Trang Đài. Continuing to support her sends the wrong message to the community--it normalizes dishonesty and undermines the values of integrity and respect that these platforms have long represented.
I won't be returning to her sandwich shop, and I strongly encourage others to think twice--not just about supporting her business, but also about attending her live shows or appearances. Let's stand together for accountability and truth.
