An unforgettable home dining experience at Lynnette’s Kitchen! Every dish was exceptional from the comforting warmth of the bakwan kepiting soup to the beautifully complex yet satisfying ayam buah keluak. The beef shin rendang was the absolute star for me - the meat so tender, it melts in the mouth. We enjoyed a lovely spread that included assam pedas prawns, babi ponteh, chao chye and blue pea nasi lemak, ending with delicious gula Melaka ice cream chendol. Lynette was a warm and gracious host, sharing stories from her travels as an accomplished violinist - such a lovely personal touch to an already amazing meal. Highly recommended!

The highlight of the night was, without a doubt, the chili crab – hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat and sweetness, and the sauce was so good we were tempted to drink it straight from the plate. Another standout dish was the pork belly baos – melt-in-your-mouth tender with a beautiful glaze, tucked into soft, fluffy buns. Every bite was a burst of flavor. Lynette’s attention to detail and passion for food shine through in every course. This private dining experience feels intimate, authentic, and indulgent in all the right ways. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and delicious evening in Singapore.

Our party of 10 was there to celebrate a special birthday, and the occasion was made all the more memorable by the passion and attention to detail that host Lynnette brings to both her cooking and her music, crafting an immersive dining experience. The Peranakan cuisine was absolutely out of this world. Each dish was a beautiful balance of bold flavors and delicate spices, showcasing the richness and depth of the Peranakan culinary tradition. From the tantalizing aromas that filled the air to the plating of each dish, Lynnette’s love for food shines through in every bite. We were also treated to a violin recital by Lynnette herself. The music, as elegant and moving as the food, elevated the entire evening, a blend of both auditory and culinary beauty. Brava, Lynnette!

Amazing authentic Peranakan food. Every dish was meticulously prepared and utterly delicious. Loved the nasi lemak rice, and the sago gula melaka, but really every dish was outstanding. Lynette was an outstanding chef and host who made the meal feel special. Can't wait to come back!

A Cultural Medallion Recipient, A 1st Violin, A retired Co-Concert Master with the SSO (Singapore Symphonie Orchester), turned Master Chef in her own right! (Former Miele Ambassador) and most importantly a Personal Family Friend for almost 32 years! Ms. Lynnette Seah! Having known Lynnette for that many years, and being proud to have this friendship I have always been inspired by her artistic prowess but especially by her culinary forte, and her being of proud Peranakan heritage, Combine all that and one is in for a treat! Had quite a number of meals with Lynnette over the years, but last nights dining experience, topped it all. She was exuding a lust for life, a degree of happiness and a level of contentment that clearly showed she has arrived at the higher echelons of culinary mastery! To be fortunate enough to be allowed into her home, is in itself an experience of perfect hospitality, but be aware, trying to make a booking (preferably in a group of 10-12) can be challenging as her popularity has risen to a level that you better plan well in advance! And trust me the who’s who, that have graced these homely walls, bears testament to her ability to deliver an exceptional experience! The Food: We started off with a modernised version of Kung Pau Pau, braised pork served on a single slice of Fried Mantou, eaten like a sandwich, it was the perfect way to start off! The tender Pork Belly braised in a multitude of herbs and spices, pure soft & tender joy! The fragrance still lingers in my mouth! 💯pointer! Followed was a unique Salted Egg Sri Lanka Crab, and while I personally have never been a super fan of salted egg dishes, this creative gem was simply superb, I truly had to restrain myself not to fill up on this marvel Also served one of Lynnette’s number one favourites, Beef Rendang, truly another 💯 pointer, this dish should never be missed when dining here, it’s complexity of spices, cooked to such degree of tenderness shows the true craftsmanship of someone who knows what they are doing! A Klassiker! The Highlight of the evening, at least for me, was the creation of a Laksa-Paella! It was Lynnette’s idea, and should be copyrighted! I think it was a Spanish Symphony meeting the Great Asian Violinist, a composition which I will try to emulate one day! A sensational concoction of truly the best of east & west! The main, was one of the best Prime Rib Roasts I had in years! Perfectly Cooked, and as my right hand dining partner proudly proclaimed: Lawry’s, step aside! Accompanied by superb vegetables and a wonderful gravy, it was a truly fitting finale to an outstanding meal. No more space left for what looked like a perfect Almond & Pistachio Cake for dessert, we called it a night, Filled with outstanding everything, friendship, hospitality, gastronomic delights . We’ve had several home dining experiences with friends, and Lynnette’s was truly one of the best. She created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us all feel completely at home. To me, comfort, good food, and an overall enjoyable experience are what make something worth the time and cost — and Lynnette delivered on all fronts. One bold and unique touch was her decision to sit and eat with us. It’s the first time I’ve seen a host do that, and while I can imagine it might not be for everyone (especially if guests come mainly to socialize with their own group), we really enjoyed her company. Some dishes weren’t quite to my taste — but I admit I’m very picky! That said, her Beef Rendang was a standout — oh my! — and a definite hit with the group. Everyone left with doggy bags! And just when we thought the night was winding down, Lynnette didn’t reject Merve’s kind request and surprised us with a mini concert. It was the perfect dessert to an already memorable evening.
