"This Clarendon haunt serves $1.50 a la carte oysters seven days a week. The daily deal (4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and starting at 3 p.m. Friday to Sunday) includes six for $9 or 12 for $18." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff

Met a group of friends for dinner. The space was quite loud at peak dinner time. My friends said it’s best to sit outdoors, weather permitting. Our server was very helpful and fully knowledgeable. My linguine was slightly overcooked. My friend, who ordered the chicken, said he would have appreciated more veg on his plate. The restroom is downstairs. Not sure if it is wheelchair-accessible.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant for my best-friend's birthday brunch. We had reservations for 9 and they were able to accommodate us on the top floor. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! I would go back in a heart beat. EVERYTHING was delicious. Beignets Shrimp Cocktail Short Rib Benedict Quiche French Dip

Enjoyed this restaurant. Staff were on top of it without unnecessarily interrupting the flow of our large dinner group's conversations. The food was excellent, though my steak was a little red for me in some spots. Parking in the area is limited, though on a weeknight I didn't have a problem finding street parking a short walk away. One odd thing you'll notice if you use the restroom is that the men's and women's sinks face each other through an opening, so where you expect a mirror you may see a stranger haha. But overall, this was a positive experience and I would return again.

Great experience. My husband took me for their happy hour. It got packed pretty quickly. Food came out fast and piping hot. The portions for happy hour are the same which is a plus. The atmosphere was great. The service was okay, we've had better service for our date nights, the staff wasn't that friendly or hospitable for me personally. I liked that the Pretzel was the poppy seed and not salted pretzel. Would recommend the place though food was good.

Enjoyed a late Sunday brunch with a friend. The zero-alcohol ginger fizz was a tasty and refreshing start. My lobster omelette had discernable chunks of lobster along with an almost foamy egg base. My friend's eggs Benedict came served on a croissant, an interpretation she liked a lot. The side salads were sizeable, included a variety of greens and even some slices of watermelon radish. The wide slices of French baguette were served still warm from the oven. Although we stayed sipping our peppermint tea for nearly two hours, no one made us leave. The noise level from a completely filled restaurant remained at a low enough volume we could easily hear each other speak. Apart from parking being appalling in the area, I would happily return often.

We really enjoyed dinner at Lyon Hall. In a neighborhood that is flooded with mid- tier, bar food dining options, Lyon Hall offers something that’s elevated while maintaining a comfortable bistro feel that’s casual enough for you settle in for a great dining experience. Cocktails were done perfectly, the mussels and branzino were excellent. Their passion chocolate cake had me dreaming. Run to Lyon Hall and you won’t be disappointed.

The Filet Mignon with poached egg on croissant with salad was outstanding. Our waiter was from Mongolia (I spent Naadam there for two weeks in July) and he made an excellent latte with a flying horse in the foam.

Google
My review might not be completely fair as I went off hours and they were preparing for the dinner rush. Service was friendly and fairly attentive. Atmosphere was fine, but there wasn’t really anything unique about it. Food wasn’t bad, but not as good as it looked. Could use just a touch of classing up. Worth going overall. I’ll try agin when they aren’t between rushes.

Yelp
Every time I dine here, I get an exceptional experience thanks to the excellent service and delicious food. We made a reservation on a Thursday night and were promptly seated outside when we arrived. They have an extensive drink menu and we decided to try the sangria specials. Both were divine! The second one was bright and fruity - perfect for a summer evening outside. I ordered my favorite dish - Thai curry mussels. The dish never fails to please. The fresh mussels were cooked to perfection and the flavors of the broth were balanced and delicious. My date ordered the plat du jour which was fish and chips. It was perhaps one of the best fish and chips we've had! Our server CHRISTINA was fantastic! She was professional, friendly and attentive. Making sure our glasses weren't empty and we were happy with our meal. The runners were just as friendly. Our runner accidentally dropped one piece of fish before placing the plate on the table. He quickly apologized and promised to be back with another. Several minutes later, he returned with 2 more pieces! Reservations are highly recommended for this restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The table ordered mussel, French ham , avocado toast. Everything looked and tasted really good. The mimosa kit was enough to go around twice. The water was very nice and had great but honest recommendations. The ambiance around the room was great. It wasn't crowded but it was starting to get full. This is the perfect location for a good brunch or dinner. Back to the mussels.. lol.. The wine base that was used for the mussels was so delicious. You have to try it. I can't stop thinking about it..

Yelp
Lyon Hall has been my wife and I's favorite restaurant since we moved to Arlington. I've been getting their steak frites for years and it is consistently amazing. Mussel pots are also great. Place is always well decorated and it is without a doubt the coziest restaurant in town. Felt compelled to write this review after we went to a fancy restaurant in the city for my wife's birthday, and left after appetizers due to a terrible experience there and decided to go to Lyon Hall. So glad we did. We got a comfortable seat, quick and friendly service, and some amazing food. This review is not just to praise one experience, but rather 30+ brunches, lunches, and dinners we have had over the past 7 years. Just an amazing restaurant that I would (and do) recommend to everyone.

Katie W.

Yelp
I've had great experiences at Lyon Hall over the years. They have one of the best happy hours in the DC area! While the service wasn't as great as I remember, the HH deals on the oysters, mussel pots & cocktails made up for it.

Sanchita G.

Yelp
I got the thai curry musells with fries and WOW it was worth it! the quantity was huge of the mussels! i will 100p just come back for the mussels! it was AMAZING and so flavorful and so fun to eat as well! the fries were not as great but the mussels made up for the fries! the service was pretty fast at the place and they were super accomodating for my friend who had a kid as well! the ambiance was pretty coool! it was more upscale but not to the point where you had to really dress up! 100000p would come back and recommend to anyone

Cloud L.

Yelp
Food is great and on the pricier side. Their snail dish was amazing. Dessert was okayish. Love the staff and friendly service. They remembered my friend as she went there the week before. They takes time and make you feel welcome. The restaurant looks very nice with beautiful lighting (at dinner).

Kelsi L.

Yelp
The grilled branzino I had here last night was soooo good that I am still thinking about it! The sparkling wine I got off the happy hour menu also paired with it well. I would definitely recommend this dish here. The whole plate tasted so good!

Ashley C.

Yelp
Lyon Hall is a neighborhood gem! It is easy to get reservations here, same day or the day before. Parking is street parking. I especially love coming here for brunch. I've been here twice for a brunch and it was wonderful each time. There is ample seating, and the ambiance is that of a French cafe. There is a wide variety of items on the brunch menu, and items are fairly priced. Everything is a good portion size and delicious. I especially love the croque madame, chicken sandwich, and eggs benedict. I dined here yesterday with a group of seven and we were talking for nearly 3 hours and the restaurant had no issue with it, which was nice. Wait staff is courteous. The noise level is just right. It's spaced out better than Le Diplomat in DC, so you don't feel like you're on top of the next table. I will continue to support Lyon Hall by dining here and recommended to all. 5/5

Paige S.

Yelp
So I came to brunch with some of my girlfriends and it was great. We had some scheduling changes to our reservation but the staff didn't make us feel bad since some of our friends cancelled. But I loved coming to Lyon hall for brunch! It was on my list for a while and it didn't disappoint. The croissant was flaky and buttery and the poached eggs were delicious. I even loved my salad and I'm not typically a salad kind of girl. They service was great and the inside was cute. I would definitely come back again for brunch.

Nikki N.

Yelp
A gem in Clarendon, Lyon Hall shouldn't be missed. Both the cocktails and food here are fantastic. Good value and delicious food. The escargot is garlicky, buttery, and large. A decent appetizer for two people. The bread and butter is low key amazing as well. They have an exciting cocktail list and I had an earl grey side car that I still dream about

Peggy R.

Yelp
Chef is amazing and always puts out great food! You couldn't possibly find more friendly and attentive and caring servers! It gets a little loud at times, but it's such a great place, it's hard to complain too much. They tend to keep the restaurant on the cool side, so I always take a sweater.

Maria S.

Yelp
As much as I hate to give bad reviews, this one is not going to be a good one. I was here last Saturday and we ordered three desserts and coffee, just for an afternoon snack. We wanted to try those three desserts and just do a sort of tasting, because we often have fun with it. As you can see in the pictures, they didn't look bad, and it seemed like a lot of effort was put on the preparation. However what I appreciate in a dessert is the flavor, and these were really bad. Not only did they taste like those packages you can easily find in a supermarket and prepare at home (contrary to any hope that they'd be freshly made in the kitchen), we also felt heaviness and cramps in the stomach for the rest of the day, after eating them. We haven't tried any other food, so I won't speak for the rest of the menu. But if you can, order dessert somewhere else, when you're done. The atmosphere was nice and friendly, and our waiter kept making sure that we were taken care of, which I appreciate a lot. However I'm definitely not coming here anymore.

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant despite living in the area for a few years. The restaurant offers French and German cuisines, but only ordered off the happy hour menu. Ordered a dozen oysters which are $1.50 during happy hour. Also tried the french dip sandwich and had the smoked brisket dumplings at the table. I didn't get to try the smoked brisket dumplings itself, but the bbq sauce that was drizzled was noticeably sweet. The french dip sandwich was excellent, with delicate breading and a great balance of meat and melted cheese. Overall, a satisfactory experience. Service was efficient, but not too interactive during happy hour. Definitely want to come here and try their dinner menu!

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Dinner with partner and in-laws was amazing at Lyon. I had their Wednesday dinner special beef burgundy and it was flavorful, delicious, and a good portion of beef most importantly. We enjoyed the french and german fusion (with schnitzels and a warm Barvarian pretzel not pictured). The service was also amazing though I do recommend having a reservation beforehand. Very lively and unique restaurant in the Clarendon area. Would definitely be back!

Lester W.

Yelp
Drinks were awesome! Food was awesome. Service is good. Had a large party for graduation lunch and the restaurant wasn't too busy and the server seemed like he was rushing us out.

Sarah P.

Yelp
The food was incredible and the prices were great. Definitely recommend any of the steaks.

Anne Marie R.

Yelp
Love this place! And love that they have happy hour everyday with oysters and reduced appetizers (in the bar area). Good wine selections also... Our go-to favorites are the escargots, grilled octopus, steak tartare, French onion soup, mussels and the steak frites. The daughter loves the complimentary bread and butter!!

Alexis S.

Yelp
Lyon Hall is a true French treasure to the Clarendon neighborhood! I've been several times and I have never had a bad dish. The waiters are friendly, they have a great selection of wine and the crème brûlée is to die for!

Ailun H.

Yelp
I came here with five others for dinner this past Friday evening. I'd highly recommend making a reservation at least a few days in advance - we made one 3-4 days before and even then, we didn't have the option to select the 6:30 timeframe we wanted (6:45 was the next) and we only had the option to sit at a high-top. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that they're a popular restaurant so make your reservation :) The free bread/baguette was awesome. The bread was fresh, soft, and chewy. We sat at a table that allowed us to watch a server slice up the baguettes which was satisfying and enjoyable. The butter that came with it was creamy and light. We ended up getting 4 baskets of the bread, HAHA. MUSSEL POTS: VIN BLANC - 20 This is probably one of their most popular options here and I can definitely see why. The mussels came in a sizable pot and there were lots of them. The vin blanc sauce was flavorful and soupy - creamy, rich, and enjoyable on its own. The mussels were pretty fresh and there was plenty of garnish like shallots, garlic, parsley, and spinach. Overall, I was satisfied by this order and so were the four others who got the exact same thing. If I'm ever craving mussels in the Clarendon area, I know I can rely on Lyon Hall's Vin Blanc mussel pots! Overall, good experience. My friends and I had a pleasant time eating the baguettes (either smeared with butter or dunked in the vin blanc). One of my friends got a side of fries with her mussel pot (+4) but I'd say that was more of a miss than a hit since the fries were under-seasoned and more on the soggy/mushy side. Apparently, the escargots here are a hit, so I'll have to give it a try next time.

Polina K.

Yelp
The wait is a little too long. Even if you have a reservation, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes more to get seated. The drinks are very good. I love the mussel pots there

Andrew T.

Yelp
Me and my wife were looking for a great brunch place around Arlington who was offering French food and this was the right place to be! It is located near the Arlington Metro and the ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing. There is ample street parking. We even brought our 10 month old son and the staff were very accommodating. We ordered Croque Madame and Eggs Benedict. Both were really delicious and highly recommended. The salad and french fries were great! Price was very reasonable for both dishes. Service was quick too. There are outside tables as well if you want to enjoy some fresh air on a weekend morning. I would definitely come back and try their Mussels and burger.

Zack G.

Yelp
French brasserie that is part of the Northside Social family Offer brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner, and have a solid drink menu as well Bar, high-top, table, and outdoor seating Delicious complimentary bread and butter Large portions I came here for dinner with my GF, and we were very impressed both by the speedy service and the high quality food. I got the "vin blanc" muscles (+ a side of buffalo cauliflower), and she got the fish and chips, and we were both very happy with our food.

Jordan N.

Yelp
Great brunch place - this place is one of the very few I've seen that poached eggs literally PERFECTLY. I like that they use croissants for the Benedicts. The salmon Benedict was very nice. Also good was the chef's breakfast - with the garlic sausage being the bomb! It comes with delectable brioche toasts, flavorful button mini mushrooms, and bistro ham. Add in with this the friendly service, fair pricing, nice laid-back atmosphere, and you've got a winner in Clarendon. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu since nearly everything seems good.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Lyon Hall is part of the Northside Social family, and they offer brunch, lunch, dinner, a HH menu, as well as an extensive drink menu. We came here for a weekday Happy Hour, and we ordered the following: +a full dozen of the Oysters on the Half Shell - these seemed a bit smaller in size, and the oysters could have been more fresh; they had a slightly fishy taste to them +the Warm Bavarian Pretzel - served with 3 dipping sauces: a smoked cheddar fondue, honey butter, and dijonnaise; the pretzel could have been more soft; the honey butter was good, but didn't seem like a good complement to the pretzel; I did like the dijonnaise the best, but it could have been more thicker and creamier; the smoked cheddar fondue was grainy and was super bland to me +Smoked Brisket Dumplings - topped with sauerkraut and a coffee grind barbecue sauce; these come with 4 and seemed to be deep-fried; the coffee grind barbecue sauce was a sickly sweet and tangy sauce that just didn't complement the dumplings at all - I thought it totally ruined the dish +Vin Blanc mussels - prepared with garlic, creme fraiche, shallots, parsley, and spinach; the mussels were very large-sized (like the size of your big toe, really!), and I was surprised at the full order amount it came as for a HH order; there were some broken shells and some sand, which was a big no-no for seafood; there was an option to add pommes frites, which we did; these were hand-cut fries and could have come out freshly fried, as they were served lukewarm +Tinola-Style mussels - prepared with a ginger broth, spinach, shredded papaya, and shishito peppers; the ginger broth was flavorful, and I preferred this over the Vin Blanc version; added pommes frites to this dish as well The mussels came with a basket of crusty bread, which was great to sop up the broth! We knew we had ordered with our stomachs, as we could have just stuck with 1 order of mussels to share, as well as just added one of the pommes frites. Our server was Pedro, and he was nice and attentive, checking in with us throughout our dining experience. For HH, you can sit at the bar or at the bar tables. Not sure what the eatery can do, but there was a large pesky fly that was flying around, which was icky. I may be interested in trying out their famous Chicken Schnitzel dish or their fresh beignets next time. Restricted metered street parking is available. +ask for Pedro +friendly service +restricted metered street parking available

Shari D.

Yelp
Why didn't we come here sooner?? Jose is a great bartender, super attentive and always willing to whip a drink or two up. We've had happy hour specials, speciality drinks and new menu items! The food never disappoints, the sticky ribs are sooo good, falling off the bone kinda good! The brisket dumplings are even better, they go down so well! And if you're looking for something filling, and tasty, try their fried chicken biscuits-not pictured because we devoured them! Literally theeeee best fried chicken biscuits in the DM(V). The crispness is the chicken, the hot sauce, the juicy pickles. I mean, for $9, you get two huge biscuits that have you licking your fingers for more! Lyon Hall offers Happy Hour all week long and you won't be disappointed!

Leah C.

Yelp
My lamb chops was good though I like it more if it is not cooked medium, I prefer mine medium rare. Risotto was great too even the kung pao cauliflower. Service was great.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Traditional yet refreshed French food right in the heart of Clarendon in a gorgeous setting. Every part of our dinner was phenomenal with some clear standouts. If you like escargot don't skip it here- the portion is generous and their method of preparing it is packed with tons of flavor. The crab bisque was so flavorful and I loved the large portion of fresh crab. For dinner my husband and I both opted for the special of the day- roasted duck and it was great. The sides the duck were paired with were just okay- but the duck was the star of the show and made it worthwhile. The tartare was exactly what I was craving and our reason for stopping in- 10/10 execution and accompaniments. For desert we had the bread pudding which had a fun method of presentation but to no fault of the restaurant we couldn't try it as we were absolutely stuffed from our amazing apps and meal. We packed it for home and will be enjoying it tonight! Not pictured but also very much appreciated is their whipped butter that is served with their complimentary bread. Good butter is a necessity and a surprising star of the meal. We can't wait to return!

Nancy M.

Yelp
We came here once for brunch and thought it was alright. I didn't even review our visit. My husband was never impressed so we never went back. But we always hear good things about Lyon Hall. This is actually one of my cousin's favorite spots! Naturally this is where she chose to celebrate her birthday. We had an intimate 3 course meal in the back and had a great time! She ordered a charcuterie board to start the meal, which was a nice addition while we had our first round of drinks and people were chatting. I started with the French onion soup which was delicious!! Don't skip it! I then has the risotto which was perfect. The apple and pumpkin in it were a nice taste! Majority of the table got the hanger steak and it looked amazing! To end, I got the pumpkin cream brûlée which was delicious! Everything was amazing. The service was great! Everyone was very satisfied and had a great time. We will definitely add Lyon Hall to our rotation!

Stacey L.

Yelp
We came in and sat at the bar for some drinks and appetizers. Both service and food were perfect! However, I'm wondering why people think that young children should ever be at a busy bar. While we were enjoying our night, a couple of ladies sat down (at he busy bar) with 2 children. I think VA needs a law like CA that doesn't allow young ones at a bar. They didn't watch their children at all and they were all over the place! The kids were standing in their seat and climbing all over the place. The boy even spilled ice cream and it went over the guest next to him! At one point he darted out of the restaurant!!! I don't blame the bar as they couldn't say anything. Shame on these parents that don't respect people (at the bar) I'm hoping if management reads this that you make a rule that NO KIDS allowed at the bar!!

Cora P.

Yelp
Food is very good specially HH menu Love the baguette they serve the butter is so creamy..

Kristen L.

Yelp
Was unfortunately too distracted to get good photos here, but Lyon Hall had great food and drinks with a cute, cozy atmosphere. Things we'd order again: the pretzel (hands down one of the best we've had), the espresso martini (and the peppermint holiday version), the scallops, the chocolate cheesecake. Things that were good but we might venture from: the steak frites, the Brussels sprouts. Things we'd likely skip next time: the table bread, the French onion soup, the potatoes au gratin (it was good if you prefer your mac & cheese less creamy and more baked).

Jana L.

Yelp
OMG! THAT. PRETZEL... Get it!! So light and chewy and not overly powered by salt. Probably the best soft-pretzel I have had (or at least a close second to Nordic Knots) and the cheese fondue it comes with is homemade and delicious! Pair that with a nice Belgian Beer and a pot of mussels and I am in heaven. I will say that I have had better mussels (put some Dijon in that white wine sauce and now we're talking) - but for the price in the area and the amount, I still give my meal 5 stars. Plus they are not stingy with their fresh, crusty, chewy baguettes that are perfect for soaking up the flavorful broth!

Howard F.

Yelp
A French brasserie in Clarendon. Mike and I enjoyed our SJF cocktails to start (though the ginger probably should have been sharper). The standout dish was my wife's steak tartare, which was pretty perfect. The French onion soup was decent. My salmon was done well. The mussels were a particular disappointment, because the sauce had a heavy cream aspect, which made the dish much heavier than normal. Mike enjoyed his chocolate torte for dessert. I had the pear sorbet (fine, but nothing special) with some vanilla ice cream.

Grace K.

Yelp
I thought my eggs Benedict was a whole slay! I loved how it was served on a croissant. I added avocado to mine because #vegetarian while my friend got lox on hers. The fries were the best type of fries. You know what I mean! Nice staff and cute inside.

Solo T.

Yelp
Been here twice. Service is good, food is okay, drinks are expensive, overall ambiance was great. Street parking only

Megan T.

Yelp
Cute, yummy and cozy experience! Came for Sunday brunch, lucked out and got a seat without a reservation. Seating is tight, but everything else makes up for it. The food was delicious, the energy was great and the service was impeccable. Loved the quiche, and beignets! Definitely would come back for a fun friends brunch/dinner!

Christina T.

Yelp
Brunch Review. Came here for brunch with some friends. My friend and I shared the quiche with side salad, and the french dip sandwich. Quiche was perfectly light with a flakey crust. Salad was lightly tossed in a fresh dressing. Would definitely order this again. The french dip was my favorite. The meat was tender, the bread was soft inside with a nice crunch outside. The sandwich just melted in your mouth, this might be all I can ever order from them should I go back. We did 2 mimosa kits, which is basically a $25 bottle of champagne with your choice of juice. Not a bad deal, and served our group perfectly :)

Henry A.

Yelp
Never been to Lyon Hall and was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Service was fast, maybe a little too fast, but not in a negative way. Food was pretty good, not excellent, but good. Our reservation was at 5:45 and we were out in 50 minutes. Slightly loud, but not loud enough to hear my wife across the table. I definitely would return and would like to try other entrees. We had the pretzel to start, I had the schnitzel and my wife had the chicken entree.

Jessica P.

Yelp
I have passed by this restaurant so many times and for some reason didn't think to try it until my parents made a brunch reservation for us a few weeks ago. We loved it and I'm so glad we found a new brunch spot! The food was great. I had the steak frites and literally stuffed myself because I couldn't stop eating. Our table also had French toast, eggs Benedict, the chef's breakfast and beignets. Everyone was very happy with their meal and no one had any complaints about anything--there isn't huge but there are good options for people with different preferences. The atmosphere was also very relaxed for a Sunday brunch. I would definitely recommend a trip to Lyon Hall and I can't wait to go back!

Sandra F.

Yelp
Lyon Hall food is excellent. We go there regularly for Brunch and sometimes for dinner. We enjoy the omelettes, stacked-high chicken sandwiches and yummy beignets. Seafood is delectable. Salads, crisp. Coffee, delicious. Desserts, Mmmmmm! Hostess is welcoming, servers are friendly and do a great job in getting your order to you the way you like it. Management is "doing it right". Lyon Hall is a friendly neighborhood bistro, with pleasant dining inside and on the attractive wrap-around patio. Happy to give Lyon Hall Five Stars!

Brittany Anne O.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 3 people for a midday lunch during the week. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday-- but it's the holiday season, so this was expected! There was only one server for the entire dining area and she was friendly, quick and on-top of everything. Our drinks were full, our orders were taken quickly and she was kind and helpful! This also goes for other staff who were bussing tables and dropping off food. Top notch service! The food was great. I ordered a mixed green salad with grilled chicken, and a side of Macaroni au gratin. The salad was fresh and light and the chicken was superb (I know -- grilled chicken? Really? But yes. Really!) The macaroni was uber creamy and served in a little cast iron skillet. The noodles had a great bite and it was topped with a dusting of bread crumbs. Every table got a bread basket of French baguette-- awesome. The restaurant was decorated for the winter holidays-- tasteful and festive, but not over the top. The details were appreciated! The menu had an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list, even during lunch. Would highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
I have to give props to Lyon Hall for their takeout game during the pandemic. They've become my spot for to-go mussels and frites; I'm a fan of the white wine mussels. The fries are a generous portion and taste great, especially reheated in the air fryer or oven. The burger is also a favorite dish of mine, and it travels well for takeout. And I also like ordering a baguette to enjoy with my meal and the next day or two. I enjoyed Lyon Hall before the pandemic, but they've really distinguished themselves for good takeout service in our crazy new world.

Yelp
Came here for their Winter 2022 Restaurant week, which was extended an extra week for them! I wanted to make sure I came for their restaurant week, which typically I find worth since it's their entire menu, and I wasn't disappointed! It was three courses for $40 per person, with sides being able to be substituted for dessert if you're not a sweets person. Appetizer was the French Onion Soup. I absolutely love their French Onion Soup with the melted cheese top and the soup on the bottom. Very tasty and quite filling for a soup too! I got their seared scallops for the entrée, and even though it looked rather small, it was very filling. The scallops were bigger than I imagined. The sauce they used throughout the dish was so delicious too on the veggies and the black rice (the rice was surprisingly super tasty). I got the cassis gateau marjolaine for dessert. The cake and buttercream compliments with the raspberry sorbet well. It wasn't my favourite dessert, but still good; not too sweet although it was a bit too thick in texture for my preference. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed my time here as always. The inside is a little dim if that's a concern for you.

Amanda W.

Yelp
The restaurant offers French and German cuisines. A lot of meat options. The restaurant has two levels and outdoor seating. Street parking is available. They offer brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. We went for dinner. It was busy but we had a reservation. It's a lively atmosphere with dim lighting. We tried the pretzel with smoked cheddar fondue, honey butter, and spicy mustard. I would prefer a softer pretzel but each spread complimented the pretzel well. The pan roasted salmon was good. We liked that they made the salmon skin crispy. The pork schnitzel was hearty. The cabbage was al dente and pickled just right.

Naomi R.

Yelp
Went for brunch and after a horrid experience at the Del Mar in the wharf, we've been weary about DC brunch spots. This was phenomenal and a total hidden gem. Can't wait to go back. The smoked salmon appetizer was our favorite dish of everything we ordered!

Came here after our girls ran the Marine Corps Marathon to celebrate. Turns out, if you've just run a marathon, you actually aren't in an eating or drinking mood. . . Because we showed up around 3:30 p.m., they basically only had their bar menu so we ate brussels and fries, pretzel bites and other nibbles. It was overall good, but would have liked to experience actual lunch or dinner!

Yelp
A delightful spot for brunch with a continental feel, right in the center of Clarendon. My wife and I stopped here for brunch on a sunny Saturday. There was lots of outdoor seating and the service was friendly and attentive. They have some interesting cocktails that I've enjoyed on other visits. This time I opted for a refreshing imported beer. That combined with a grilled chicken sandwich garnished with bacon, lettuce, and tomato really hit the spot. There are many reasons why this place remains a favorite amongst the locals. As for me, I've never had anything less than an outstanding experience whenever I visit.

Yelp
Food was really good here. Came here on a Friday night and it was loud and lively but we enjoyed it! I would come back!

Yelp
I thought this place was good. The best part of the meal was the charcuterie board - it threw me off at first because it didn't have any cheese on it - but still good. Oysters were also really good. The steak frites were just okay.

Yelp
Great service and love the French ambiance in Arlington. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend to a friend. One of the best espresso martinis in Arlington hands down!
