First of all I arrived to the "Boutique Hotel" it was literally just a house with nothing appealing to be called a "Boutique Hotel".
As I arrived at night, there was no receptionist to host me. One has to carry 3 different codes to enter the "Hotel" and access the room.
When I entered the room, it had a terrible humidity, and was smelling like mold. When I went to bed, I had to sleep to the other side of the bed because the air conditioning was blowing dust right over the pillows! Yes, dust! I have allergies and I had the worst night of sleep ever as there was nobody there to give support as a customer would expect from a serious hotel.
As this was not enough, in the morning there was noise and steps from the upper floor waking me up since 7am.
The receptionist (who stays on-site only for a short period of the day) simply entered my room because she thought it was empty. That was the final straw for me.
This receptionist was in training for only 3 days, and the management left her alone to take care of customers, which she obviously didn't know how to do.
My stay was supposed to be for 3 nights but after this nightmare on my first night I just wanted to find another place as I already lost too much of my valuable time and health, especially during the weekend of my wife's birthday. They are refusing to refund me the money of the 2 nights I didn't use. Worse than that, they updated my reservation in Booking as "cancelled" which is not true, and which was preventing me from reviewing my stay. I had to contact booking to be able to place this review.
That was the easiest money they ever made.
The most "interesting" thing was their response to Booking when I filled a complaint:
"Miami is a humid city and everybody knows that."
"The guest didn't put the "Do not disturb" sign outside and therefore the housekeeper knocked and entered". That's not true, first because it was not the housekeeper and second she didn't knock before.
My recommendation to you, stay away from this place!
