Original lamb ribs the best! The original shank and grilled rib also very good!! The skewers are average, not as outstanding as the ribs. The bone broth is also pretty good. The salty milk tea is interesting, not bad. Since it’s all meats, it gets kinda greasy and heavy. Wish they have some veggies options to balance it out.

Very simple setting for such a delicious meal! The rest itself is small, bright and clean. You order using their QR code. The food itself was delicious! The lamb was so darn tender you just needed a fork. The seasonings were spot on yummy. We had the lamb served all three ways and honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them. I myself liked the grilled shank the best. Loved their dipping seasoning so much I wanted to take it home! Don’t forget to wash down your meal with their tea and for sure try their yogurt. The yogurt was just the right texture and sweetness!

I just had the **best lamb ribs with rice** absolutely delicious! The lamb was incredibly tender, literally falling off the bone. It was juicy and packed with rich, flavorful seasoning. This is where you have to go for all things lamb. JUICY lamb skewers, lamb ribs that are literally fall off the bone, and GIANT lamb shanks. Did you know that New Zealand lamb is the only lamb without that gamey taste? It's considered premium and, of course, this is the only kind of lamb they serve here. Possibly the best lamb we’ve had in awhile...!!! We are visiting from New York for a friend’s wedding and were craving for some good lamb. The lamb ribs and leg (over rice) are insanely well seasoned, tender and juicy. We also ordered the grilled ribs and skewers - super crispy skin with plenty of cumin & spice on the side as well. The owners were very hospitable and friendly. Wish we can have access to this level of quality for lamb cuisine in NY

Absolutely love this place! I’m in my 3rd trimester of my pregnancy and has to stay in Kaiser Anaheim due to physical therapy, this place is just minutes away and I do miss their light yet flavorful lamb rice, my families were able to order some and bring over to my bedside. I have to say, this is the best thing for someone with illness! The lamb is not heavily seasoned and the meat is so tender and juicy, the rice is so yum too! I always love their homemade yogurt, which is thick but not too sweet, perfect for digestion and after meal snack!

This lamb rib is soooo good. The owner is very friendly and enthusiastic. He patiently introduce the menu to me and recommend me to try lamb rib. I have tried many lambs before but never really liked any. I thought lambs all have a strange smell. But this really surprised me. It’s so tender and soft. There’s no strange smell or strange taste at all. I have never tried such lamb rib like this. The yogurt is also really surprising. It’s not too sweet, and the fruits and nuts inside made it taste even better. The owner offered me a free cappuccino ice-cream which was also really good. It’s really surprising that a restaurant could have done so perfectly in all detailed aspects. The atmosphere in restaurants is very chill and clean. I would definitely visit again to try the lamb shank! Looking forward to other new up coming dishes!

Simply put, it's a place that I'm willing to dine in weekly if I live close. The store is not big but feels clean. The service is pretty good too. The lamb here is very juicy and delicious, very tender. I recommend their Chinese bbq style lamb chop. One of the best I tried in SoCal!

We ate here on Saturday night for dinner. I thought the food was great but husband said it was just OK. We ordered: 1) spicy lamb skewers - decent! 2) spicy lamb shank - this was good! 3) stewed lamb over rice deluxe meal - lamb was fall off the bone 4) hot milk tea - good 5) extra plate of rice on the side Meal comes with sliced pickles, carrots and onions. I would come back if I'm craving lamb again.

Lamb lovers, M Joy is your temple. The lamb double rib plate at first glance may seem simple, but my god what a fantastic ode to lamb. Served on a fluffy bed of carrot studded rice, the ribs are absolutely divine. I honestly can not recall every tasting lamb this tender. It practically melts in your mouth. The plate is accompanied by a clear lamb broth, pickles, pickled carrots, pickled onions, and chili sauce. The restaurant while small, is very clean. The service is friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is quite relaxing. I didn't even notice the pleasant jazz playing at a low volume until I had finished my meal. If you enjoy lamb, make it a point to try M Joy.

This has to be the best tasting lamb dish I've had in America! I've eaten at many Uzbek/Uyghur/Central Asian/Xinjiang style lamb dishes around America and this is definitely the best tasting and highest quality one I've tried! The lamb shank and lamb rib were so tender, fresh, and flavorful. Not gamey at all which is hard to find in America. The only other places that would have lamb that fresh would be in Xinjiang, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan etc. The lamb shank/lamb rib rice dish was perfectly balanced. Rice was fluffy and flavorful. The three side dishes that came with the dish were very healthy and appetizing! I especially loved the carrot salad which reminded me of morkovcha! Lamb bone soup was also included and it was very light but nourishing! I also ordered the salted Xinjiang milk tea! So good and rich! Amazing service, the guy at the front explained the items on the menu to me, service was friendly and prompt! Very clean modern and spacious environment! 10/10!!! I would come here again and again for authentic high quality lamb polo!

Food was great I ordered a skank and added a rib. Shank was amazing perfectly cooked fall off the bone. Rib was also great but if you don't like berry fatty meat don't order it. Service excited my expectation they brought everything to my table and came with all the pickles and soup. And didn't have to ask for a water cup ! It's a chill shop that you can come to casually with your friends. It's all HALAL!!!!!!!!

M Joy was a very pleasant surprise for my wife and me. We love our lamb and this place does it very, very well. The location is clean and cute, with a lot of nice little touches that add to the ambiance, and the server was very easy to talk to and passionate about his food (and tea). Between my wife and I, we ordered: New Zealand Lamb Rib Rice - This was just straight up delicious. So you know how when you order a good Hainan chicken rice the best part of the meal is actually rice itself? The rice on this dish is like that, but with lamb. You can taste the lamb fats and juices making the rice extra fragrant, while the carrots balance it out to make it a little sweeter and not overwhelming. The lamb itself is tender, juicy and it tastes clean. It's definitely lamb, but not at all gamy. 100% would order again. Grilled Lamb Shank - Also delicious, my wife liked this one more than the lamb on the plate (I'm still on team main course). Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with two deliciously fragrant powders to dip. One wad heavier on the fennel, the other was a bit sweeter, we asked for extra containers of both on the way out. Special Salty Milk Tea - As much as I loved everything else, this is the one that actually stole the show. I've had salty milk tea at Mongolian and Xin Jiang places before, but this is the first one I've had where everything together perfectly. Where some places it tastes like the salt was added as an afterthought, the salt feels like it's an integral part of the experience and if you don't have it you're wrong. It's full of flavor but somehow light, salty but so easy to drink, has the light taste of buttery goat milk but never becomes too much. do yourself a favor. Absolutely get this if you come. Yogurt Dessert - Honestly, I was still in the process of being blown away by the tea when I had this. It was very well made yogurt, light but flavorful, mixing very well with the fruit. Overall fantastic place. 100% recommend.

M Joy has only a few items in the menu but everything was delicious! Service was prompt and clearly communicated. Also the primary server was attractive. We opted for the Deluxe meal which comes with one lamb shank and two lamb ribs. The meat in both was cooked the same, so the choice comes down to whether you want more of the chewy skin on the ribs or of the internal fat from the shank. Personally I liked the ribs for texture reasons. The meat pulled apart with a fork, no knife needed. Very moist and bursting with flavor, despite not having any sauce, just lamb flavor. Each lamb entree comes on top of carrot rice. I suspect the rice is made from stock since the rice also has a robust flavor. Each entree comes with a side of pickles, fresh onions, and garlic carrots. All are fine and good, but I thought the lamb paired best with the rice. Sure the onions could have provided a crisp crunch for an additional layer of texture. For drink we selected their Special Herbal Milk Tea sweet (as opposed to salty). We customized to less sweet was enjoyed it. Not so much herbal and tastes almost like a black tea but twice was told it's not caffeinated (I'll find out if I have trouble sleeping tonight). Served in cute teapot with handle on the side and small cups that make it seem like you have more volume. Homemade Yogurt comes at the end with dried fruit and nuts on it, tart and sweetness comes from dried fruit. They also have ice cream with the following flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, Oreo, walnut butter (tastes like cappuccino but not caffeinated). I was told that kids can get free ice cream, and there's a poster in the wall that encourages Yelp/Google reviews for a scoop of ice cream.

Very fresh, flavorful, and not gamey at all. We got the braised shank and ribs, rice, broth. All super flavorful. Don't let the photos fool you, this is not boiled lamb. It is braised for many hours in a flavorful stock, meat is fall off the bone and well seasoned throughout. Grilled skewers and ribs had nice char. Maybe needed a bit more salt, but they gave us extra cumin seasoning on the side. Yogurt was a refreshing counter-balance to the meat. Probably the biggest hit with my kids was the rice pilaf--super flavorful cooked in rich lamb broth. Overall this place is awesome and we will be back soon. One thing for the business owners to consider--perhaps garnish the braised shanks/ribs with a little greenery to make it look more appealing to a Western audience. Yelp photos do not do justice to the FLAVOR of these dishes.

I've never been a fan of lamb because of its intense, gamey flavor, but the New Zealand lamb here completely changed my mind! The first time I went with a friend, she ordered the deluxe meal with lamb skewers and convinced me to try a bite. To my surprise, it wasn't gamey at all, it was AMAZING!! So the second time we went back, I got the same deluxe meal and skewers for myself lol. I also tried their HOT special salty milk tea and homemade yogurt. Everything was perfectly delicious! This place itself is simple yet unique, and the service is super friendly and impeccable. Highly recommended & definitely worth a try!

If you like lamb, this is for you. The lamb shank is flavorful, melts in your mouth, and pink in color throughout. We were impressed with the garlic sauced, julienned carrots and steamed seasoned rice as sides. The supermarket pickles were unnecessary. The pickled onions were all we needed to give your mouth a break from the richness of the lamb. The skewers of lamb were different. They are chewy, thoroughly seasoned but come with two special salts that kick it up even more. Service and cleanliness were excellent so I didn't mind adding a tip for what is essentially a fast food atmosphere. Prices are a little high for what it is and where it is.

As a family that always seeks out halal dining options, we were impressed not only by the quality of the food but also by the warm hospitality we received. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This place is relatively new. We were coming from Los Angeles back to Orange County. We were hungry and wanted to find something new and unique. Fortunately, we stumbled onto this place!!! When we first came in, the owner greeted us right away and explained the menu to us. He said that if we order two individual combo plates then we will get a refill on rice. Most importantly, he explained to us the top sellers. Thus, we ended up getting #1 and #2, which is the lamb shank and lamb rib. I'll be honest, I am not a big fan of lamb but the meat here was amazing. The texture was super soft and most importantly, I didn't get that gamey taste. To top it off, before the meals came they gave us these individual side dishes. I really enjoyed the slice carrots. For drinks, they are know for their salty milk tea, which was also fantastic. Please note to order the drink hot as this is the owners recommendation.

This is the most authentic Xinjiang pilaf I've had in Los Angeles!!! Those who love pilaf must come here. I personally think the lamb chops are better than the lamb legs. They are soft and tasty, not smelly at all. The milk tea is also delicious. It doesn't taste exactly the same as the milk tea in Xinjiang, but it is also very fragrant and memorable! Highly recommended

Went here for lunch on a whim. Interesting and unique cuisine but decided to give it a try. Lamb isn't usually my first choice of protein but damn this place has changed my mind! New Zealand lamb is something different. It wasn't gamey at all and the rice pilaf and all the pickled condiments went so well together. The lamb skewers were to die for. Chatted with the owner a bit and he wanted to give Anaheim something unique and he sure did. Be sure to go out and give it a try. It was pleasantly delicious.

We're never in this area, but had a shop that we wanted to visit. Turns out M JOY was the highlight of our experience out here! We love lamb so we're always excited to try new places that specialize in lamb. The fact that lamb is the ONLY protein here just highlights their dedication and commitment to quality and flavor. Both the shank and the ribs were so tender and full of the specific flavor profile of this region of China's cuisine. Fall off the bone they did and straight to my tongue where the spices danced with fattiness in each bite. The pickles provided, especially the carrots, provide that needed refreshment between scoops of lamb and rice. Speaking of that rice, I want buckets of it. It's totally loaded with fatty lamb broth! We also got their special tea with milk, both the salty (hot) and sweet (iced). It's not your usual milk tea, which made it all the better to accompany this meal. They're a busy small shop, with a small team, but our server was attentive and still checked in on us frequently despite having consistent customers rotating in. It's a no frills environment, with tables packed in, but what matters here is the food! We'll be back for sure, as those lamb skewers at the other table looked tantalizing.

I have nothing to complain about their food or service, everything was very good. It feels like a family business here. I just think their business can be even better if the menu can include more options. Also, the place feels like a fast food place more than a restaurant, the music was gentle and on low volume, which makes it a bit awkwardly quiet when it's not too busy inside. Food is restaurant level, but the vibe makes it more suitable for a quick lunch, not for a dinner date or gathering with friends.

We tried the deluxe meal with rice, lamb leg and 2 ribs, and in addition, with a side dish of lamb skewers. The flavor of the lamb/rice meal were very light and simple, doesn't need much additional seasoning. The lamb is not gamey at all, very good quality. The lamb skewers were also very delicious with toasted spices on the side to lightly coat the meat. It is a perfect snack after going to a brewery. The service was great and we didn't have to wait too long. The place wasn't too crowded since they just opened recently. Will most likely come back here for their special tea or yogurt along with more lamb.

M Joy serves the best lamb shank I've had in the area! The meat is perfectly steamed and falls right off the bone--no struggle at all. It's New Zealand quality, with the bone marrow inside adding an extra layer of flavor that's just irresistible. Another must-try is their special salty tea, made from brick tea imported from Xinjiang. It's naturally savory, and if it's your first time, ask the staff to skip the extra salt to appreciate its original taste. The cups come with a lovely message, "只生欢喜不生愁" ("Only joy, no sorrow"), showing M Joy's thoughtful wish for every guest. I will revisit soon!

A treasure restaurant hiding in the corner. Food is amazing, I have ever had any lamb tasty that good. Lamb without muttony taste, very tender and juicy. The rice cooked with carrots so you won't taste anything else but fresh and absorbed the special flavor from lamb. The side dishes from rice combo all made in house and perfect combination with the meat. The salty milk tea catch my eyes and it tastes so good. Nothing strong salty but more like original milk tea without sweetness. It is a must try because you don't find it anywhere else. The hot one tasty more silky than cold. The lamb kebab I ordered dine in and ordered two more orders to go, you know how I love it! Service is absolutely excellent, the owner serve the customer by themselves and he is proud of their meat quality. If you are a lamb lover you have to go this place, I was introduced by others and it is totally worth my 1.5 hour driving. I will recommend to everyone.

I love lamb so I was looking forward to this with the high reviews. On the plus side, the meat was tender. However, it taste like the pictures look, not much seasoning and slightly gamey. I got the rib and shank combo and did not enjoy it. I also tried the salty milk tea and couldn't make it past a couple of sips. This was a miss for me.

Tried this place for the first time. I ordered a lamb rack which comes with fried rice, soup, and sides (carrots, onion, and pickles). The lamb was slow cooked and it is so tender. The place is a little small but clean. Prices are a little expensive. Met the owner who was really nice. Will come back to try the other lamb options.

M joy has the best lamb dishes in socal! Drove all the way here from LA so many times already and almost every week with my friend. The owner is a friendly guy who makes conversation and gave us several freebies. The menu is simple, service is quick, we never have to wait over 5 minutes. Finally had a chance to try this place. We ordered the lamb shank plate and lamb skewer for two people plus Hokkaido milk tea. It's plenty! The lamb shank was prep differently than others but it was very tender with meat just fall off the bone. The skewers has big chunkof meat and option to dab in cumin or spicy powder. All is good. Definitely will come again! Service as excellent.

The place is fire! Trust me on this! As a linemen I like to eat! So when I say it's fire I can vouch. Place was awesome and service was amazing! One of the spots I go constantly now. Hit them up and try it.

The portions at this lamb chop restaurant are very generous. The lamb legs and lamb chops look white in color, but they are very tender and tasty. At first I thought I ordered too much for the deluxe version, but it tasted so good that my son finished it all by himself. The yogurt was also delicious.
