This little grocery store has the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. A hidden gem in the Long Beach neighborhood. If you’re just visiting and need to stock the Airbnb they have everything you will need.

Ma N Pa Grocery is a true Long Beach gem. The service is always friendly and genuine, and the quality is consistently top-notch. My absolute favorite is their Pasta al Pomodoro — simple, fresh, and made perfectly every time. You can taste the care that goes into everything they do. Highly recommend supporting this local spot!

First time visit and will be returning! Barbeque Chicken Sandwich One of the best Barbeque Chicken Sandwich I ever had. The Rye bread was not hard to bite into. The chicken had very good flavors. Great combination of chicken, provologne cheese?, tomatoes and lettuce. Pastrami A great unique Pastrami Sandwich on Rye. The Pastrami was dry but don't be alarmed. The meat had some good flavors. The pickles (too many, not a bad thing, unless you dislike pickles) with mustard, and provologne cheese? really made a great sandwich. There are other Sandwiches and bread options, but Rye is my preferred bread choice for Sandwiches.

A small independent grocery store nestled in a residential area of Long Beach. The burritos did not disappoint. One burrito is just shy of 15 dollars. Delicious egg cheese, and add anything you want. Potato's, Avocado, ham and sausage was what I did. Go get you one!!!!

I blew it as usual! The food was so good I forgot to take a picture. The basil pasta pasta was amazing. The fried chicken was flavorful. The restaurant is 3 blocks up from my daughter's house. It's an easy watch and the food is really good. Last time out we had some terrific ribs. They have a full array of food, wine and desserts. Since we were here visiting with our boys, dogs, they were wonderful to chop up the chicken breasts into tiny pieces. One of my favorite places to eat when we are in Long Beach.

I've had their grill veggies, spinach lasagna and stuff potato. All of it was excellent! The store itself is adorable/cozy. It has an inviting nice seating area in the back and in the front. Zack, the owner, is as friendly as can be. I'm new to the area and feel like I found a gem. Who needs to cook when I can go to Ma N Pa's to get a nice home cooked meal :-)

Cute little convenience store that has a deli with amazing breakfast burritos. The service was great and the burritos only took a few minutes to be ready. There was a case of ready made sandwiches, lasagna, casseroles that all looked great, too. We got two burritos: one bacon and one sausage and added potatoes, avocado, and sour cream with spicy salsa. They are huge and came out piping hot. I would definitely add potatoes and avocado next time but would skip the sour cream. All street parking but we went on a Tuesday, so we easily found a spot. There are a few small tables out front. We'll for sure visit the next time we're in the area!

Definitely a neighborhood spot. I've see kids go in and can use their parents tabs. They have single beers. And tables out front. Daily specials. What I know so far: Sunday: lasagna and coffee cake Wednesday: fried chicken. Everyone kept coming in asking for tenders. It looked like daily specials came out like noonish. They were out of tenders by 4/5ish. Pre made sandwiches for $10 (a bit pricey) but good to grab. Fresh bread and has a lot of staples in case you need something

If your looking for something fast to grab while you're out but want it to taste like you made it at home, this is the place to go! This little grocery outlet doesn't really stand out on the street but it is such a cute little hole in the wall that you'll love! The inside is really small but they have everything you could possibly need, from toiletries, to groceries, to grabbing a quick drink. The real kicker is that they have amazing sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast burritos! They also have a cute little backyard you can sit and eat at. My boyfriend took me for a quick bite this morning and not only were the workers so kind, but the food was so delicious. We both got the breakfast burrito with bacon and added avocado and potatoes. The eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked and the potatoes were soft and buttery with the skin on, just the way I like it. Overall, not only is it a cute place to go, but the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Would go again!

One of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a long time. Got the egg and bacon burrito and added potatoes. At $13 and some change, they are not giving them away, but eggs are expensive these days and the size was impressive for that money and the taste was exceptional. At least 3 eggs in that bad boy, thick crispy bacon, cheese and I got the "hot" salsa and it had a great kick to it. Just a well made, well balanced burrito and everyone at the tables out front was eating burritos, so that should tell you something. Very cozy and relaxing location tucked a residential neighborhood in Belmont Heights. A little garden, fresh flowers, saloon doors, and simple wooden picnic tables. Definitely a neighborhood bodega with a hippy, blue collar, hangout vibe. A pot of simple coffee brewing, local products for sale on the shelves, some household goods and necessities, craft beer for sale, and a bunch of breakfast and lunch items both hot and cold (like sandwiches and pasta salad and such). The breakfast burrito was the star of the show for me tho.

A throwback in time. Neighbourhood kids come and get snacks, and it's put on the family tab. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food is simple and hearty. You can hang out with your dogs, eat a tasty sandwich, while watching a slice of old time LBC.

This place is a great neighborhood store. I've ordered my fresh turkeys from Ma & Pas for years. The last few years I've included their stuffing and gravy . Breakfast burritos are amazing as is everything else they offer. Homemade jerky is delicious. Can take out or eat outside.

My colleague first brought me here, to his neighborhood breakfast spot. By breakfast spot, he meant breakfast burritos. This is truly a neighborhood spot. It's got that 1800s country store vibe. A little bit of everything to sell, in addition to breakfast burritos and coffee. The breakfast burritos are pretty decent. You can eat at one of the few tables in the front patio, or the covered garden in the back.

Solid double cheeseburger. Two hefty patties. Veggies were nice and crunchy. Definitely fills you up and then some.

My partner's favorite breakfast burrito in Long Beach. The cutest little grocery store that serves delicious breakfast burritos - specifically the sausage and vegetable breakfast burrito spicy, always spicy. Which warning, has gotten spicier over the years and you can always ask for the sauce on the side. Pairs well with a can of Arizona Iced Tea. We always also pick up their beef jerkey which is made in house and one of the best - I especially enjoy it when it is thin and almost crispy. Location in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path, Ma and Pa's is a Long Beach staple. Both exterior and interior are old school with touches of vintage, old LBC. They offer a few grocery items and other staples as well as cold drinks, snacks, and candy. Also hot meals for lunch and dinner besides breakfast burritos, which I have yet to try. There is seating in the front and in the back garden patio. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. Little Free Library in the front. Service is quick and friendly, we call in to order as much as we can to lessen wait times. 100% recommend for breakfast burritos and to feel like you've stepped into the past.

This place is so cozy. It looks like an Italian little supermarket. You can also order food and eat it there. There's a cozy patio in the back. Ambiance is very welcomy. Food is tasty. You order and eat outside if you'd like. Good variety of wine and beer. Service is friendly. Close to 2nd street if you want to take a walk.

I cannot with your young staffff lollll I go here for last min things I forget at ralphs. Mind you I always call ahead to check if they have what I'm looking for But several times they made hilarious mistakes I asked for lettuce they gave me cabbage Heavy whipping cream? I was given half n half And today I asked for a bell pepper I will continue to shop here however it will just be for chips and soda

This was an awesome find! A nice little neighborhood market with a deli and delicious breakfast burritos! The best part the hot salsa is actually hot ! The service is friendly and there's even seating outdoors. Great place to grab some groceries and leave with a burrito!

Food - the breakfast burrito with potatoes, sausage, and avocado was delicious! I was on a hunt for a good breakfast burrito and I'm glad I found this place. I do recommend getting the house special hot sauce on the side! They do offer other foods such as sandwiches, ready to eat meals, and other things. Definitely going to be back here from time to time! Service - fast, friendly, and efficient Ambiance - it's literally a small little grocery store in a neighborhood. I love how it looks on the outside as well as the inside! It's very nostalgic. They have some old school fridges which were so cool! They have outdoor seating as well!

Great local spot in Belmont heights. Inside is a grocery store with lots of options. was busy at this time i went but the staff handled the rush well. the breakfast burrito w/ bacon is my go too. haven't had the chance to try much else but everything they have looks delicious.

My friend brought me here since he used to be an employee working for them about a couple of years. He raves how delicious the breakfast burritos were. Therefore, took the drive into a neighborhood. Never knew this place existed. It was small and super cute decorated with flowers outside on the patio. Inside had everything you needed from wine, beers, fruits, meats, chips, sandwiches, and more all in one marketplace. Good place to visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as they do have a food menu they cook in the kitchen. This establishment been around for over 100 years so it's says a lot how wonderful it is. My friend ordered two breakfast burritos with ham, cheese, hash browns, bacon, and avocados. Let me tell you...One of the best super massive burritos I've tried in my entire life. So good! Have to ask for the salsa to make it more mouth watering. I couldn't finish the whole burrito because it was that big. Ate half for lunch and the rest at dinner time. Service was super friendly and we will continue to be regulars.

Tiny tiny hole in the wall in the best way possible. It's an old converted cottage in a quiet neighborhood in LB. Grocery store/ fresh prepared food to eat there (a few picnic tables out front usually available and a cute back yard you can eat as well)/ prepared food to take home. Fried chicken Wednesday!! There's a new special daily. There is street parking but easy to find surprisingly and the service is quick and friendly. Thee best breakfast burritos on this planet and do not forget their hot sauce. Thee best blue cheese dressing on this planet! Serves beer and wine by the can and don't forget fantastic beef jerky! 10/10 recommend! You don not find places like this very often

Ma 'n Pa's is a pretty amazing place! It is like a 1920's general store, but in Belmont Heights rather than Main Street!! Their food and service is wonderful, and always consistent!!! Love their meatloaf (and meatloaf sandwiches), cooked vegetables, potato salad, and their homemade cookies!! Can't say enough about how great Ma 'n Pa's truly is!! Give um a try!!

I'm not sure why I order because every time there is something randomly wrong with my food but it's good enough that I keep gambling with them. They should just have you grab a random burrito out of a pile, and what you get is what you get. Sometimes it's the wrong protein, sometimes they add avocado when I say no avocado, sometimes the salsa is mild and not spicy. 95% of the time I can work around it, but it would be nicer if I got what I ordered. I'm not one to troll on yelp!, but I'd say with all honestly that of the last 4 visits, 3 of them had something wrong. But they're super nice, and the food is good. Just wish I had some better luck with accuracty.

What a cool cozy store and i love the area it's located in. I actually came here for the fried chicken on a saturday but was told they only had it on wends so make note if you want chicken its wends only. So i opt for the steak and potatoes, garlic noodles and it was very good! I though they cooked it but i guess not lol. I took it home and pan cooked the steak. I hear the breakfast burrito with potatoes, sausage, and avocado is great also have to make my way down there that. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and nice. Meal came to $23 bucks. I would come back to get that again. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

This is an awesome place with great breakfast burritos and very nice personnel with great service. Been here a few times and the food never disappoints. It is nestled in a regular housing area and has a great patio to eat at. The burritos are always hot and very tasty. Pro tip: get the salsa on the side and not in the burrito.

Food and service 10/10. I went by after running a 5k and it's the best choice! I had been told about it before and I finally had the chance to go in. They are so fast I was in and out in like 8minutes. DEFINITELY COMING BACK!

There is so much to say because its one of the most slept on spots in the area. The staff is extremely friendly, Marce is always smiling and sharing a laugh. The food is out of this world! I love the relaxing outdoor seating. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and homemade jerky!

Mardi Gras /March 4 ,2025 Ma N Pa makes xlnt sandwiches and most locals know that, but today they made one of their best sandwiches ever: A New Orleans style -Roast Beef "Po'Boy" My New Orleans born Wife said: "this is Really authentic. Po' Boy details :this style is referred to as Debris" style due to the meat being so tender that is falls apart/ shreds. Beware : THis is a Very messy sandwich .. as gravy is poured down the middle then the sandwich then smooshed together. Lenten denial and diet starts tomorrow MaNPa's sells bunches of sandwiches, there is a reason. Bravo

A good burrito. Simple, but good. What made it better though... was the HOT homemade salsa they make every day. Yummmmm.

A peice of history, the little neighborhood market that also makes homemade food right in front of you. It's busy so you need to be ready to order or pick up but always a smile and a thank you. On the corner in a residential neighborhood makes this vintage market a gem. Breakfast burrito is a must!

I was in the area and to my delightful surprise I took a chance and walked into this amazing small business. It's not only a mini store but they have a menu of fantastic food options. I went with a veggie burrito without mushrooms with mild sauce and soooo delicious! I also took a chance and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with avocado and fries for my sons to try. Everything delicious!!! Service was amazing and the gentleman was so nice and patient with me as a first timer and wanted to try somethings new. I wish I lived closer but the neighborhood is extremely blessed to have place within their community. I will be back when I can. Please do not hesitate to stop in and order! P.S. As I was waiting for my order I over heard the next person order a steak burrito and they use Filet Mignon for the steak. Unreal for a small business or any business other than a high end restaurant to but that type of quality meat in a burrito. I will try that next. Sorry no pictures to share this time. :(

One of Long Beach's best kept secrets. So don't come here. It's a super cute grocery store with some of the freshest ground chuck and various options for dinner at home that you can reheat. Coincidentally, I came here right before a trip to Maui and one of the owners was from Hawaii so she gave me some great recommendations. They also sell some amazing banana bread--so you can get right into the island spirit! I ended up getting a chicken dinner with scalloped potatoes and some vegetables. All was delicious. I can't wait to come back here again! Mahalo!

This little store is a true neighborhood gem. You wouldn't believe how many grocery items they stock in such a small space but what makes this place a gem is the food. Without a doubt their breakfast burritos are some of the best in the area as are their hamburgers. In addition they prepare a long list of take home foods on a daily basis. Such an awesome local family market with daily specials in addition to all the basics things you may need to grab for a recipe without going to the grocery store. It feels like you're stepping back in time walking in to the warm and welcoming little corner market. Nothing fancy here. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely make a point of stopping in.

Ma'n Pa grocery has one of the best breakfast burritos in long beach! They are simple but yet so tasty and there hot sauce has a nice kick. They have a little store with everything you need. Like a little grocery store inside a restaurant they also have benches outside and have a patio you can sit and just enjoy the nice and calm neighborhood! I highly recommend

Quaint little shop. I came to try the breakfast burritos. I got the bacon with potatoes and spicy salsa. The burrito was okay. I think it needed more seasoning, crispier ingredients, & spicier salsa. Not my fave breakfast burrito. The staff was very nice though!

I've been going to Ma 'n Pa Grocery for 40 years now (good God that makes me sound so old) but I had to tell ya so you'd know that although I moved down to South Orange County I still work in Long Beach and definitely still stop in for a quick take home dinner or even better....their beef jerky! It's soooo good. If you like the old school thin sliced flavorful jerky, then this is your place! The jerky is awesome, the cookies are incredible and the food is great too! The staff is always helpful and super friendly. If you're in the neighborhood stop on in and browse around, I'm positive you'll find something that will feed that need!

Absolutely love this place. I eat here about twice a week. Great sandwiches on the go. The best breakfast burritos and apparently breakfast platter. Get it how you like it wonderful. Great grocery store for the necessarys. Coffee fruit vegetables bread beer wine. Rotating menu for daily items. Fried chicken is epic on Thursdays or is it Wednesdays. The building is phenomenal it reminds me of home I have a little house in the desert. It's just like it... The service is wonderful everybody there has worked for the place for years or are the original family members of the establishment.

I am a regular here and I love everything about it. Very good vibes and also the best breakfast burritos in Long Beach hands down. Staff is so friendly and they have all the necessities you need including firewood and s'mores stuff!
